  • Computer-aided logistics support system is recognized an essential system to reduce supply and maintenance cost, and to improve readiness of weapon system or operationable composite machines. According to these trends, this paper focuses on the design scheme and the computerization strategy of information management system for Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) work. Suggested system. LAMIS(Logistics support Analysis Management Information System) is a total system that composed of Logistics Support Analysis Management information system (LSAM), Configuration Management Information System (CMIS), Maintenance Management Information System (MMIS), Project Management System (PMS) and Information Retrival System(IRS) etc. Also, LAMIS is a computerized tool that improves current supply and maintenance support program, that attempts to reliable requirment analysis of logistics support elements, and that supports to use the existing technical specification of similar one when weapon system acquisition project is started newly. When LAMIS implication is completed, it can be applied to logistics support of defense or commercial site. Straightway, LAMIS will be enhanced with computer - aided design system, engineering drawing system, interactive electronic technical manual system, electronic data interchange system, and three dimensional simulation system to weapon system configuration. When that is done, LAMIS is CALS system.

  • Many organizations have developed their own traditional quality information systems. But, they think of it as one of the functional information systems not as a company-wide decision support information systems. A study on traditional quality information systems(QIS) has been conducted and a new conceptual framework of quality information system is proposed in this paper. In order to support enterprise wide total quality management aggressively, a new conceptual framework, named quality management support information system(QMSIS) is developed and proposed. This framework is based upon Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award(MBNQA) model integrates management information system approach and traditional quality information system concept. In this model, organizational performance and process performance can be monitored to support managers , decision making about organizational quality management activities.

  • 본 논문에서는 대학재정지원사업의 사업 프로세스 및 관리 특성을 분석하여 대학재정지원사업 통합정보관리시스템 구축을 위한 기능을 정의하였다. 이를 위해 대학재정지원사업의 사업 프로세스를 살펴보았고 이를 통하여 공통으로 필요한 6가지 기능을 도출하였다. 도출된 기능을 적용한 통합시스템 구축을 위해서 먼저 선행되어야 할 사항들은 사업 기획 단계에서 통합을 고려한 사업 관리 체계를 표준화하고 회계 관련 규정의 정리가 필요하다. 본 논문에서 도출된 기능들과 시사점을 바탕으로 향후 대학재정지원사업 통합정보관리시스템 설계하는데 도움이 될 것으로 기대한다.

  • 정보기술을 통한 건설산업의 관리 체계화와 생산성 증대 및 경쟁력 제고를 위해서는 우선적으로 건설업체에서 구축 $\cdot$ 활용하고 있는 정보시스템의 활용특성에 대한 체계적인 정리가 필요하다. 특히, 건설의사결정측면에서 건설데이터를 활용한 고급분석기술인 의시결정지원기술에 대한 전략적이며 체계적인 적용모델을 적립할 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 즉, 건설업체의 정보시스템에 대한 구축 수준을 파악하고 건설의사결정지원과 관련된 문제점을 도출해 낼 수 있는 합리적인 분석틀을 통해 건설정보시스템의 전략적 활용 방안에 대한 기초적인 연구가 필요하다. 이를 위하여 기존 연구들을 바탕으로 푹적된 데이터의 부가가치를 높일 수 있는 대안으로서 의사결정을 지원하기 위한 정보시스템 활용특성 모델을 제안하고 사례연구를 통하여 그 타당성을 검증하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 건설업계의 의사결정지원기술에 대한 인식제고와 건설조직에서 활용하고 있는 정보시스템의 적극적 활용의 대안의 기초를 마련하고자 한다.

  • This study concerns logistics support analysis record(LASR) which provides guaranteed support, and is needed in various weapon systems development and acquisition to develop the optimal factor for integrated logistics support(ILS) by reflecting the results of logistics support analysis(LSA). We observe and analyze the logistics management information(LMI) system used in the United States under the integrated data environment(IDE), and analyze the differences between logistics management information system and the LOADERS(logistic support analysis data entry and retrieval system) which is currently used in Korea. Based on the analyzed results, a improvement model that corresponds to reality and can be applied is presented.

Exploring the determinants of information systems performance: A case of Korean SMEs

  • The performance of informatization differs depending on its utilization, investment and construction methods. This study analyzed the key factors affecting the performance of informatization based on a public survey on the information system operation of small and medium-sized companies in Korea. Through structural equation modeling and one-way ANOVA, the study identified the pathways leading to performance. As a result of the analysis, it was confirmed that higher levels of top management support are associated with increased information system use and performance. Similarly, higher levels of information system use are correlated with better performance of information systems. This research is significant as it investigates and reveals how top management support and information system usage work in the cases of SMEs in South Korea, which is a leading country in manufacturing. The findings of this study will provide valuable insights for SMEs, whether they have already developed an information system or plan to do so, in their efforts to enhance corporate competitiveness.

  • In this paper, a model of adaptive individual life support system is proposed from the viewpoint of cybernetics. This model is derived based on the relation between human behavior and human action, static and dynamic in processing speed, and abstract/concrete. In applications, task and information of human which includes in this system analyzed by paying attention to cybernetics. This paper shows a few actual example of modeling by fundamental adaptive individual life support model such as medical diagnosis, health care and education support. Finally as an example, design and implementation are concretely carried out for health care support system. This is also a method to design a information support system which is involved in human.

Design and Implementation of Community-based Hazard Mapping Support System Based on Mobile Cloud in Traditional Towns with Local Heritage

  • This paper describes the design and trial development of a system that supports continuous hazard mapping by local residents in their daily life. We performed an interview survey to design our system in a model traditional town in Saga Prefecture, Japan. The results show that despite continued efforts, many practical problems remain and residents feel unsafe. Considering these results, we designed and developed a unique information and communication technology-based support system that contributes to community-based disaster prevention and reduction. The continuous resident participation and posting design are the core concept for our community-based approach. Our system continues to support making a hazard map by integrating the community-based hazard information. Local residents register information (disaster types, risk level, photographs, comments, positional information) about locations that could be dangerous in a disaster. In addition, our system enables information sharing through a Web server. We expect that this information sharing will allow local hazard information for each district to be used.

  • The main purpose of this paper is to develop a Delphi Decision Support System based on the web, which can improve the conventional Delphi method. Among major drawbacks of the conventional Delphi methods are cost and efforts to distribute and collect the questionnaire by the regular mail and the tardiness in collecting, categorizing, analyzing, and reporting the result of the questionnaire. With the proposed Delphi Decision Support System, the moderator sends the e-mail to invite the member of panels so that they may visit the homepage of the Delphi Decision Support System. When the panelists input their opinions about the issues, the Delphi Decision Support System analyzes the inputs and reports the result without delay. To implement the Delphi Decision Support System, we integrated Microsoft SQL Server 6.5, jdbcKona/MS SQLServer 4 JDBC driver, and Java Development Kit 1.2
