  • According to spreading of smart devices and development of communication technology, the security issues come to the fore in the modern factory. Especially, the smart facpry should be considered the risk management plan how to identify and evaluate, control the risks. In this paper, we suggest the minimum security requirements applying SFRPN(Smart Factory Risk Priority Number) model to domestic smart factory on the basis of the results inspecting factories.

  • Recently, security behavior of members of organizations has been recognized as a critical part of information security at the corporate level. Leakage of customers' information brings more attention to information security behavior of organizations and the importance of a task force. Research on information breach and information security is actively conducted of personal behavior toward security threats or members of organizations who use security technology. This study aims to identify factors of influence on information security behavior of members of organizations and to empirically find out how these factors affect information security behavior through behavior toward attitude, subjective norm and perceived behavior control. On the basis of the research, this study will present effective and efficient ways to foster information security activities of members of organizations. To this end, the study presented a research model that applied significant variables based on integration of Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and Theory of Protection Motivation (TPM). To empirically verify this research model, the study conducted a survey of members of organizations who had security-related work experience at companies. So, it is critical for members of organizations to encourage positive word of mouth (WOM) about information security behavior. Results show that based on the integration of TPM and TPB, perceived vulnerability, perceived severity, perceived efficiency and perceived barriers of information security behavior of members of organizations had significant influences on mediating variables such as behavior toward attitude, subjective norm, perceived behavior control and intention. They also had significant influences on organization information security behavior which is a dependent variable. This study indicates companies should introduce various security solutions so that members of the organizations can prevent and respond to potential internal and external security risks. In addition, they will have to take actions to inspect vulnerability of information system and to meet security requirements such as security patches.

  • In a dynamic IT environment, employees often utilize external IT resources to work more efficiently and flexibly. However, the use of external IT resources beyond its control may cause difficulties in the company. This is known as "Shadow IT." In spite of efficiency gains or cost savings, Shadow IT presents problems for companies such as the outflow of enterprise data. To address these problems, appropriate measures are required to maintain a balance between flexibility and control. Therefore, in this study, we developed a new information security management system called AIIMS (Advanced IT service & Information security Management System) and the Shadow IT Evaluation Model. The proposed model reflects a Shadow IT's attributes such as innovativeness, effectiveness, and ripple effect. AIIMS consists of five fields: current analysis; Shadow IT management plans; management process; education and training; and internal audit. There are additional management items and sub-items within these five fields. Using AIIMS, we expect to not only mitigate the potential risks of Shadow IT but also create successful business outcomes. Now is the time to draw to the Light in the Shadow IT.

  • Awareness that smartphones can be used as tools for criminal activity is prevalent in many organizations, but the functionally smartphone-like smartwatch's potential as a criminal tool is being overlooked. Considering this situation, this research verifies the possibility of information leakage through an insider's smartwatch in a situation where smartphones are controlled by security regulations and technologies, but smart watch are not. By analyzing information related application usage and Wi-Fi connection generated in the smartwatch during the verification process, forensic information and limitations are identified. Finally, this research proposes preventive methods to prepare for potential smartwatch-related crimes, and reconsiders awareness of the possibility of using smartwatches as criminal tools.

  • Consumers' enhanced intention to adopt the Mydata service or their voluntary provision of personal information is a very essential element in the stable growth of the Mydata industry along with the creation of corporate values. The growing leakage of customer information according to the rising value of data can have negative impacts on the use of Mydata service and shrink quality custom service needs based on the personal information provided by financial consumers. This study set out to identify security risks that financial consumers could recognize and security factors that could supplement them and investigate the effects of these security factors on consumers' intention to adopt the Mydata service, thus providing useful implications for increasing the acceptance of financial consumers and finding a strategy to expand safe utilization. The findings raise a need to guarantee the stability and transparency of information provided by customers as information subjects, and they should be essential requirements for the Mydata service. The security factors applied to guarantee them should include convenience in terms of financial service.

  • Korean society is a mixed risk society in terms of risk and distrust. This is because the risks and disasters of the farming and industrial societies, the modern and the information society, exist simultaneously in the present time. Ulrich Beck's point that the endless development of science and technology to acquire economic wealth is simultaneously entering a risk society is providing us with many implications. In this paper, we reviewed the Ulrich Beck's "reflexive modernization" theory in the late 20th century, pointing to the rise of a risk society as a result of the evolution of new modernization. This is because the "reflexive modernization" can be a direction in which we can reflect our wrong past from a human-centered perspective and design a desirable future. In this sense, it is important to present ways to overcome the dangerous society through the reinterpretation of Ulrich Beck, who advocated the modernization of reflectively. In order to overcome the future risks that the fourth industrial revolution will bring, we must provide direction for the government's security policies and public security consciousness.

  • The Internet has evolved into the global computer network due to the openness of its protocol, but such evolution brings about new risks and threats. To protect computer networks safely, it is the best way that preventing an attacher from intruding beforehand. However, to provision against all attacks causes the degradation of network performance as well as to prevent unknown attacks is very hard. Secure Combination, the framework which establishes a mutual collaboration and cooperation between the trusted zones, could protect systems from the potential attacks. This frameworks can predict attacks by exchanging security information and cooperating with each zone. It is a dynamic and powerful security architecture that rapidly enables updating security policy and deploying response modules.

  • Physical security protecting people from physical threats, such as a person or vehicle, has received a great attention. However, it has many risks of hacking and other security threats because it is highly dependent on automated management systems. In addition, a representative system of physical security, a CCTV control system has a high risk of hacking, such as video interceptions or video modulation. So physical security needs urgent security measures in accordance with these threats. In this paper, we examine the case of security threats that have occurred in the past, prevent those from threatening the physical security, and analyze the security problem with the threats. Then we study the countermeasures to prevent these security threats based on the problems found in each case. Finally we study for the method to apply these countermeasures.

  • To manage software safely, the military acquires and manages products in accordance with the RMF A&A. RMF A&A is standard for acquiring IT products used in the military. And it covers the requirements, acquisition through evaluation and maintenance of products. According to the RMF A&A, product development activities should reflect the risks of the military. In other words, developers have mitigated the risks through security by design and supply chain security. And they submit evidence proving that they have properly comply with RMF A&A's security requirements, and the military will evaluate the evidence to determine whether to acquire IT product. Previously, case study of RMF A&A have been already conducted. But it is difficult to apply in real-world, because it only address part of RMF A&A and detailed information is confidential. In this paper, we propose the evidence fulfilling method that can satisfy the requirements of the RMF A&A. Furthermore, we apply the proposed method to real-world drone system for verifying our method meets the RMF A&A.

  • Cloud computing has increasingly been drawing attention these days. Each big company in IT hurries to get a chunk of meat that promises to be a whopping market in the future. At the same time, information is always associated with security and risk problems. Nowadays, the handling of these risks is no longer just a technology problem, with a good deal of literature focusing on risk or security management and framework in the information system. In this paper, we find the specific business meaning of the BMIS model and try to apply and leverage this model to cloud risk. Through a previous study, we select and determine the causal risk factors in cloud service, which are also known as CSFs (Critical Success Factors) in information management. Subsequently, we distribute all selected CSFs into the BMIS model by mapping with ten principles in cloud risk. Finally, by using the leverage points, we try to leverage the model factors and aim to make a resource-optimized, dynamic, general risk control business model for cloud service providers.
