  • In recent decades, the ad hoc network for vehicles has been a core network technology to provide comfort and security to drivers in vehicle environments. However, emerging applications and services require major changes in underlying network models and computing that require new road network planning. Meanwhile, blockchain widely known as one of the disruptive technologies has emerged in recent years, is experiencing rapid development and has the potential to revolutionize intelligent transport systems. Blockchain can be used to build an intelligent, secure, distributed and autonomous transport system. It allows better utilization of the infrastructure and resources of intelligent transport systems, particularly effective for crowdsourcing technology. In this paper, we proposes a vehicle network architecture based on blockchain in the smart city (Block-VN). Block-VN is a reliable and secure architecture that operates in a distributed way to build the new distributed transport management system. We are considering a new network system of vehicles, Block-VN, above them. In addition, we examine how the network of vehicles evolves with paradigms focused on networking and vehicular information. Finally, we discuss service scenarios and design principles for Block-VN.

  • Mobile Agent has been known that it is an efficient communication paradigm for distributed applications and that a mobile agent provides higher flexibility and performance than existing communication paradigms. Despite these benefits, mobile agent is not used widely in the market because it is very vulnerable to a variety of attacks. To be applied to develop distributed applications, a mobile agent paradigm must consider both security and performance. In this paper, we propose and evaluate an improving method of a migration performance for a mobile agent model using ISM(Integrated Security Manager), which provides high-level security services and travel plan guide. In the proposed method. ISM offers the travel plan guide service which replies the accumulated results when a mobile agent has executed all migration plans related the trusted domain to be managed by ISM. Our method improved about $33{\sim}82%$ of total execution time than the existing method.

  • To integrate both the OSI network and the TCP/IP internet, the application gateway that have the powerful and flexible paradigms has been used, but due to the micro-managements of the gateway produce the high costs and the long delay of communication in the case of emergency. The mechanism that maps the access control policies between two domains using the different security policies is needed. These problems are caused by integrating both domains with the different standards. In this paper, the application gateway that delegating to an agent the powerful and flexible services of the CMIP as well as the management functions were proposed. A proposed algorithm that delegates he management script to an gateway safely by capitalizing on the Diffie-Hellman's distribution method, and presents the security mechanism mediating the security policies for guaranteeing the secure communication between two domains using the different security policies.

  • New information technologies make it easy to access and acquire information in various ways. However, It also enable powerful and various threat to system security. The prominent database technology challenging these threats is access control. Currently, to keep pace with the new paradigms, new extended access control methods are challenged. We study access control with uncertain context. With respect to access control, it is possible that there is a discrepancy between the syntactic phrase in security policies and that in queries, called semantic gap problem. In our semantic access control, we extract semantic implications from context tree and introduce the measure factor to calculate the degree of the discrepancy, which is used to control the exceed privileges.

  • In the course of Internet proliferation, many network-related technologies are examined for possible growth and evolution. The use of Internet-based technologies in private networks has further fuelled the demand for network-based applications. The most promising among the new paradigms is use of mobile agents. The mobile agent is capable of migrating autonomously from node to node in the network, to perform some computation on behalf of the user. The mobile agent paradigm is attractive alternative to traditional client-server programming for a significant class of network-centric applications. It also however, suffers from a major drawback, namely, the potential for malicious attacks, abuse of resources pilfering of information, and other security issues. These issues are significantly hampering the acceptance of the mobile-agent paradigm. This paper describe the design & implementation of secure mobile agent gateway that split and merge the agent cede with security policy database. This mechanism will promote the security in mobile agent systems and mobile agent itself.

  • One of the most significant issues in combinatorial optimization is the classical NP-complete conundrum known as the 0/1 Knapsack Problem. This study delves deeply into the investigation of practical solutions, emphasizing two classic algorithmic paradigms, brute force, and dynamic programming, along with the metaheuristic and nature-inspired family algorithm known as the Genetic Algorithm (GA). The research begins with a thorough analysis of the dynamic programming technique, utilizing its ability to handle overlapping subproblems and an ideal substructure. We evaluate the benefits of dynamic programming in the context of the 0/1 Knapsack Problem by carefully dissecting its nuances in contrast to GA. Simultaneously, the study examines the brute force algorithm, a simple yet comprehensive method compared to Branch & Bound. This strategy entails investigating every potential combination, offering a starting point for comparison with more advanced techniques. The paper explores the computational complexity of the brute force approach, highlighting its limitations and usefulness in resolving the 0/1 Knapsack Problem in contrast to the set above of algorithms.
