A Study of Strategy According to the Analysis of Present State in Korea Medicine Information (한의학정보화 현황분석과 이에 따른 미래전략 연구)

  • This research is intended to analyze the necessity of the integrated organization for the performance in order to the extension of scale and the systematic promotion concerning to the Korean medicine informational project, and to research the promotional method of Korean Medicine information through the constitution of organization for preparing the informational basic. There are three main important subjects to be done in this research project. The initial issue is to devise a comprehensive and systematic plan of Korean medicine information according to the Korean Medicine Rearing Raw('03. 8). Furthermore, it is necessary to reinforce the integrated informational ability of Organizations concerning to the Korean Medicine. Finally, with the above works accomplished, the overall standard of Korean Medicine Information should be settled. Initially, we compose an advisory committee of the Korean Medicine Information in the first year. The members of the committee include the informational coordinates of related government agencies, the experts in Korean Medicine Information, and specialists in the domains of computer science and information. In the next phase, we derive the promotional strategy for 'Center for Korean Medicine Information'. In other words, by means of analyzing the current issues and outstanding problems of on-going research projects and environments, the ultimate directions of the whole activities are established. Also, we build the medium and long-range road map of Korean Medicine Information Research by setting strategy for the policy projects related to the area. With the various research activities in this project, we can achieve the following practical strategic benefits. Firstly, we can lay a foundation for the Korean Medicine Information by establishing the fundamental plan for 'Korean Medicine Information Center'. Secondly, information strategic projects about 'Korean Medicine Information Center'. Secondly information strategic projects about 'Korean Medicine Information Development' can be performed in more systematic fashion and promoted by stages. Finally, by confirming the contents of the Korean Medicine of KMS system, we invent an opportunity of new project in the field of the Korean Medicine Information by means of practicing and managing the 'korean Medicine Information Custom Service'.

  • Computerization is recognized as simple supporting tools up to recently but Information is made for the improvement of company's outcome beyond the assistant tools and is emerged as core tools of creating new opportunities for company in point of management strategy. But Information plays minor role in Korean Institute of Oriental Medicine(KIOM) yet. Information has not processed systematically because of lack of understanding and budget in KIOM. The purpose of this research is to make plan for knowledge information which is aimed to make effective supporting and strengthening the ability of KIOM's research, until 2013. Also we tried to find new project s for information and to apply the result to planned information projects. The final goal of this study is to make mid/long-term information plan of KIOM. We applied the general information strategy planning(ISP) method which is progressed as analysis of information technology, analysis of information status, design of future model and extraction of action plan order. First, we examined the information elements for the advanced management from analysis of management environment and analyzed information technology trends. Second, we list up the gaps and problems of KIOM's information status and define the future model to solve this problems. It is showed the road map of time and budget for future model to progress systematically inner-information of purpose. We hope that information of KIOM will be conducted successfully.

  • Objectives: The purpose of this manuscript was to propose the policy and perspectives of prevention and management for hypertension and diabetes in Korea. Methods: Authors reviewed the chronic disease prevention and management projects and models were executed in Korea until now, and analyzed and evaluated their performances. Results: In the circumstances of Korea, the following several requisites should be improved ; Specific Korean strategy for development and pursuing of national level policy agenda for chronic disease management must be established. There are a need to establish several means of supplementing the weaknesses of the current chronic disease management policies and programs. Firstly, development and distribution of contents of guidelines on the systematic project execution regime (regarding systematization of local community, subjects and contents of the projects) with guarantee for the quality of chronic disease prevention and management are necessary. Secondly, there is a need for development of information system that can lead the chronic disease management programs currently being implemented. Thirdly, there is urgent need to develop resources such as cultivation of manpower and facilities for provision of education and consultation for the patients and holders of risk factors of chronic disease. Fourthly, there is a need for means of securing management system and financial resources for operation of policies and programs. Conclusions: The results can be able to use as a road map, models, and direction and strategies of policies for chronic disease prevention and management of Korea.
