A Study on Organization of Information Network for Efficient Construction of U-City - Focused on Economic Analysis of Municipal Network and Leased Network - (효율적 U-City 구축을 위한 정보통신망 선정방안에 관한 연구 - 자가망과 임대망 경제성 분석을 중심으로 -)

  • The Cities that recently developed have been applied to private network for establishing information communication network system. The local governments planning or pursuing U-City construction should also choose the private network in consideration of operation and maintenance. In viewpoint of agency operating u-City, it is necessary to integrate traditional and new network. However, there has been lack of guides to choose U-City network considering the economic analysis between private and leased network. This study analyzed the characteristics of private and leased network, and the cost-benefit by estimating the network cost and communication demand focused on U-services that are recently applied. This study purpose a guide for efficient U-City information network selected by estimating ROI(Return On Investment) and BEP(Break Even Point) for establishing private and leased network.

  • With the advent of high technologies such as the 4th Industrial Revolution and artificial intelligence and big data, efforts are being made to solve urban problems and improve the quality of life by applying new technologies in the smart city field. In addition, as carbon neutrality has emerged as an important issue due to global warming, smart city energy platform technologies such as urban energy management, efficiency improvement, and carbon reduction are in the spotlight. In order to effectively manage urban energy, energy resource information such as electricity, water, gas, hot water, heating, etc. must be collected from the management system of various energy utilities and managed on the central platform. The centrally integrated data is delivered to external city management systems that require city energy information through an energy platform. This study developed a CIM profile for smart city energy monitoring required to provide energy data to external systems. Electric data model were designed using the CIM class of IEC 61970, and water, gas, and heat data model were designed in compliance with the UML-based design ideas of IEC 61970.

  • The purpose of this research is to define detailed technologies of smart city based on excellent patents through patent analysis related to major technologies of smart city, and to use quantitative indicators to classify relatively high technology importance and identify related technologies. To achieve the purpose of the study, patent collection is conducted by reflecting literature research and expert opinions based on information related to the smart city Internet of Things/Internet of Things communication core technology. Also, DEA were used to determine the relatively high technology. The inputs and outputs used in the study used quantitative indicators to determine technical value and made up of impact assessment, performance assessment and value assessment. As a result of the analysis, various technology groups were classified into smart city-related platform technologies, information sharing technologies, and network-related technologies, and based on the results of this research, it is expected that it will be able to apply technology patents related to smart cities to research and development strategies through key detailed technologies by major technologies of Smart City.

  • This study proposes a method for acquiring and managing basic information on building, which is continuously updated through construction and re-construction, in order to implement 3D-GIS based on geometric shape information and building information. First of all, distinctions between BIM and GIS information models are described, and then an overview of CityGML for virtual city and its Level of Detail are introduced. At last, a prototype for extracting building geometry from BIM data in accordance with CityGML is presented for demonstration. By using IFC data from BIM, this approach enables a lot of firms and contractors in building industry to utilize their 2D/3D, data on sites and buildings, and also to save many effects for generating exterior and interior building models which are inevitable for implementing National GIS.

  • Recently, Korea has been attracting the attention of smart city as a solution to urban problems along with the era of Forth Industrial Revolution. However, tourism, industry, and specific high-class residential complexes are being formed, and the disabled with information such as the elderly and disabled who can actually get help are not experienced. This study establishes the concept of smart city suitable for domestic and derives the priority of physical and non-physical elements of smart city considering information weakness. Smart City considering disabled with information has concluded that not only physical elements but also non-physical components are important, and derive the differences between the experts and the priorities of actual information weak people. We will propose a smart city development direction that takes into account information weak people that can be developed and advanced in response to the needs of information weak people.

  • There are lots of data-driven analytics approaches to realize smart city. In Korea, Smart City Integration Platform has been deployed in more than 108 cities so It is very important to utilize the platform for smart city. This paper introduces interworking PoC(Proof of Concept) case between Smart City Data Hub, one of the data platform technologies for smart city, and Smart City Integration Platform for enhancing interoperability of city platforms; Smart City Integration Platform sends various city events to Smart City Data Hub and receives predicted city events produced by data analytics in Smart City Data Hub.

The Propagation Effects on the Regional Economy Induced by U-City Construction in Wha-sung and Dong-tan City (U-City 구축에 따른 지역경제 파급효과 - 화성.동탄지역을 중심으로 -)

  • This study is unlike common Input-Output Analysis in the point that both RAS and methods are applied to the dynamic Input-Output Model simultaneously. We have analyzed the propagation effects on the regional economy from the investment generated by u-City construction in Wha-sung and Dong-tan City. The main results of the study are as follows. The total induced effect on production according to u-City construction in Wha-sung and Dong-tan City is estimated about 2.9 times. On the other hand, u-City industry is appreciated as a industry which a forward linkage effect is very high while a backward linkage effect is not that high.

  • U-City 공간계획 및 설계기술개발연구는 그 동안 서비스와 정보통신기술(ICTs)을 중심으로 다루어졌던 U-City추진의 한계를 극복하고 도시공간에 기반한 U-City 구축과 실증을 통해 저비용 고효율의 미래 도시공간을 구현하고, 기존 도시의 문제 해결과 도시의 효율적 운영관리의 필요성 등에 따라 공간적 측면에서의 U-City 구축을 통해 국내 대표의 건설브랜드인 U-City선도화와 종주국으로서의 위상을 강화하기 위한 U-City 창조공간 계획 및 설계 기법을 연구하고자 한다. 본 연구를 위해서는 국내외 관련 문헌조사, 사례조사를 중심으로 연구를 진행하고 있으며, 도시 공간단위별로Prototype을 구축하고 실제 사례도시(Test Bed)를 선정하여 연구결과를 적용해 보고 효과를 검증하는 방법으로 연구 내용의 내실화를 기하고 있다. 본 연구개발사업을 통해서 도출된 결과물을 통해서는 도시민이 체감할 수 있는 U-City 구현을 통해 시민이 체감할 수 있는 U-City 보급과 확산으로 국내 고유의 대표건설브랜드로서 U-City의 대내외적 경쟁력을 확보하고, 침체된 건설경기 활성화 등에 기여할 수 있을 것이라 판단된다.

  • This study starts from the question if the characteristic of existing conventional site-specificity can be applied to the modern city space in information media era as it is. The evolution and spread of media technology acted as the catalyst which establishes the identity of an individual and promotes the social sense of belonging as the new type of community member as well as expanded the communication territory of man. Moreover, as the perfect merge of third dimensional space with second dimensional media was accomplished, the meaning of city as the place is getting changed and extended to city space as the information platform which integrates and intermediates the various information composing city. Hereupon, this study is willing to analyze the limits which the characteristics of physical, active and meaningful elements which are the forming primary factors in the existing place theory have and establish the new meaning of city as the place through the case studies which are applied by the characteristics of hyper spacio-temporal, mobility and polysemy as the characteristics transformed by information platformization of city space.
