This research analyzed the relationship and the interaction effect between information understandability and information acquisition level in accordance with government's official message presentation types, in other words, press release in text form, infographic that visualize a large amount of information, and webtoon that helps to understand convoluted information in interesting ways. As a result of research, it was confirmed that there exist both main effect and interaction effect in official message types presented by government and information understandability according to the environmental awareness. In addition, the main effect per each variable was confirmed between official message types presented by government and information understandability according to the environmental awareness; however, the interaction effect per each variable was not confirmed. Such research result is meaningful in that it provides the government with basic data in obtaining the effectiveness and usefulness of the information dependent of the official message types presented by government to the information consumer facing the era of government 3.0.

The economic value of personal information has its importance as an objective measure of valuation in commercial, legal, and policy areas. Until recently, however, personal information subjects have not properly recognized the economic value of personal information, which has led to the inability to exercise the right to self-determination of personal information by unconsciously agreeing to the terms and conditions of personal information service without recognizing the value of personal information provided to the service provider when subscribing to a specific service. Therefore, we will examine the methodologies for calculating the economic value of personal information and the practical guarantee of the right to self-determination of personal information and analyze the economic value of personal information through a survey. Also, we would like to propose various ways for the subject of personal information with limited cognitive resources to visually accept the economic value of personal information required by the terms and conditions and suggest the optimal visualization of personal information economic value to exercise the right to self-determination of personal information. To do so, in this paper, we have conducted two survey experiments to estimate the economic value of personal information. Based on the price of personal information by category retrieved from surveys, we have visualized the price of personal information in various forms and asked respondents to choose the optimal infographic that best represents the value of personal information visually. As a result, we have proposed an optimal usage of the infographic to 'nudge' information subjects about their right to self-determination of personal information, therefore opening the possibility of diminishing privacy paradox.

This paper describes and suggests the data visualization for real time power system operation based on energy management system. Because real time power system operation performs analysis of the vast amount of on-line data, the operators need intuitive data visualization to find out useful information in the big data. Especially, in emergency situation, the data visualization is able to assist the operators in handling the crisis quickly and efficiently. Therefore, this paper aims to improve displays of output of real time power system operation by visualizing on-line big data. Through this study, we can develop improved visualization technique for real time power system operation, which has highly readable displays of output and intuitive information.

This paper analyzes the design and usability of maternal notebook mobile application and suggests the improvement direction of the application. The researcher compared and analyzed the functions of maternal notebook applications, conducted user interviews and expert evaluations. The conclusions of this study are the use of appropriate information volume, proportional screen division focusing on main functions, the use of GNB format of main menus, the prohibition of double menu configuration, the use of color consistent with the image of the service, the use of few font sizes, the use of appropriate colors in typography, the use of rich icons with uniform design, card format, list format, but also timeline and infographic forms that make rich user interface design. Maternal notebook application research is expected to be an important reference for research on similar mobile applications with complex functions such as information provision, user history, and community, along with improved research in healthcare design.

Minard's figurative map is an infographic on Napoleon's Russian Campaign of 1812. Tufte (The Visual Display of Quantitative Information, Graphics Press, 1983) declared that Napoleon's March "may well be the best statistical graphic ever produced." We can use this data map as storytelling material for data visualization education. In this paper, with Minard's figurative map, we study four themes (infographics, information design, Minard, and the Russian Campaign) in data visualization education.

The article examines one of the most important means of visualization of mass information on the Internet - information graphics in the broadest sense of the term as a visual technology for presenting mass information. The main objectives of the article are to determine the genre-typological features of infographics and basic technological principles; identification of features of creation and use of information graphics in modern network. Certain benefits of online infographic editors include savings in resources and time. They allow the user, who has basic PC skills, to create standardized infographics based on their own data. In addition, the use of online services develops visual thinking, allows you to get an idea of quality criteria and current trends in infographics, as well as to gain initial experience in the visual presentation of data.

The current study investigates the effects of an interactive learning environment on EFL students' vocabulary acquisition and reading comprehension skills. The study utilized a quasi-experimental design. The sample consisted of 41 students enrolled in the English program at Umm Al-Qura University studying Reading in EFL course in Summer 2018/2019. The sample was randomly divided into two groups: A control group consisting of 21 students and an experimental group of 20 students. The results revealed statistically significant differences at (α≤ 0.01) between the mean scores of the experimental group and the control group in the posttest of the vocabulary test and the reading comprehension test favoring the experimental group. Finally, the study concluded with a call for more studies on modern technologies in teaching EFL skills in the Saudi context.

Recently, life-logging service which has expanded to measure and record the daily life of the users and to share with others are increasing. In particular, as life-logging services based on the application has become popular with the development of wearable-devices and smart-phones, the contents of this service are produced by user behavior and are provided in infographic menu form. The purpose of this paper is to extract user behavior and classify for making contents items of life-logging service. For this paper, the first of all, we discuss the definition and characteristics of life-logging and research the contents based on user behavior related to life-logging by the publications including thesis, articles, and books. Secondly, we extract and classify the user behavior to build the contents for life-logging service. We gather users' action words from publication materials, researches, and contents of existing life-logging service. And then collected words are analyzed by FGI (Focus Group Interview) and survey. As the result, 39 words which suit for contents of life-logging service are extracted by verify suitability. Finally, the extracted 39 words are classified for 19 categories -'Eat', 'Keep house', 'Diet', 'Travel', 'Work out', 'Transit', 'Shoot', 'Meet', 'Feel', 'Talk', 'Care for', 'Drive', 'Listen', 'Go online', 'Sleep', 'Go', 'Work', 'Learn', 'Watch' - which are suggested by the surveys, statistical analysis, and FGI. We will discuss the role and limitations of this results to build contents configuration based on life-logging application in this study.

Recently, Big Data is a buzzword in the creative economy generation. The organizations related to spatial information society focus on building the spatial big data systems. As spatial big data is a combination of spatial information and big data, the data visualization is essential in order to utilize them efficiently. One of the great methodologies for data visualization is infographics. Nationally, Chousn.com initiated the infographics news in 2010. Korean Administration Branches also recognized the importance of infographic and they adopted infographics for their briefings from 2013. Internationally, Visual.ly is leading company in the infographics market and they produced noticeable interactive infographics for Egypt Parliamentary Elections results. In the defense part, Guardian's datajournalism of Afghanistan war log was a good example of utilizing infographics. Throughout the research, five requirements are extracted. First source data should have precision and accuracy in terms of time and space manner. Second, infographics images have a compressibility. Third, the infographics is properly processed for military commanders. Fourth, sharing, openness and communication are essential for high quality infographic. Lastly, infographics should be an analytic tool for predicting future event based on the past data. Infographics is not a direct representation of data but an analytic tool for helping user's choice and decision in critical moments.

As a study of the blended learning method on design education through the blended learning method, I would like to propose that more advanced learner-led customized design education is possible. Understanding in face-to-face classes and advantages in non-face-to-face classes can be supplemented in an appropriate way in remote classes. Advanced artificial intelligence and big data technology can provide personalized and subdivided learning materials and effective learning methods tailored to learners' levels and interests based on quantified data in design classes. In this paper, it was proposed to maximize the efficiency of the class by applying a method that exceeds the limitations of time and space through the proposal of the A La Carte model (A La Carte). It is a remote class that can be heard anytime, anywhere, and it is also possible to bridge the educational quality and educational gap provided to students living in underprivileged areas. As the goal of fostering creative convergence-type future talents, it is changing with a rapid technological development speed. It is necessary to adapt to the change in learning methods in line with this. An analysis of the infographic virtual space design and construction process through the A La Carte model (A La Carte) proposal was presented. Rather than simply acquiring knowledge, it is expected that knowledge can be sorted, distinguished, learned, and easily reborn with its own knowledge.
