Bayesian inversion is a stable approach to infer the subsurface structure with the limited data from geophysical explorations. In geophysical inverse process, due to the finite and discrete characteristics of field data and modeling process, some uncertainties are inherent and therefore probabilistic approach to the geophysical inversion is required. Bayesian framework provides theoretical base for the confidency and uncertainty analysis for the inference. However, most of the Bayesian inversion require the integration process of high dimension, so massive calculations like a Monte Carlo integration is demanded to solve it. This method, though, seemed suitable to apply to the geophysical problems which have the characteristics of highly non-linearity, we are faced to meet the promptness and convenience in field process. In this study, by the Gaussian approximation for the observed data and a priori information, fast Bayesian inversion scheme is developed and applied to the model problem with electric well logging and dipole-dipole resistivity data. Each covariance matrices are induced by geostatistical method and optimization technique resulted in maximum a posteriori information. Especially a priori information is evaluated by the cross-validation technique. And the uncertainty analysis was performed to interpret the resistivity structure by simulation of a posteriori covariance matrix.

Purpose: This study aimed to verify the safety of low-dose topiramate on language development in pediatric patients with migraine. Methods: Thirty newly diagnosed pediatric patients with migraine who needed topiramate were enrolled and assessed twice with standard language tests, including the Test of Language Problem Solving Abilities (TOPs), Receptive and Expressive Vocabulary Test, Urimal Test of Articulation and Phonology, and computerized speech laboratory analysis. Data were collected before treatment, and topiramate as monotherapy was sustained for at least 3 months. The mean follow-up period was $4.3{\pm}2.7months$. The mean topiramate dosage was 0.9 mg/kg/day. Results: The patient's mean age was $144.1{\pm}42.3months$ (male-to-female ratio, 9:21). The values of all the language parameters of the TOPs were not changed significantly after the topiramate treatment as follows: Determine cause, from $15.0{\pm}4.4$ to $15.4{\pm}4.8$ (P>0.05); making inference, from $17.6{\pm}5.6$ to $17.5{\pm}6.6$ (P>0.05); predicting, from $11.5{\pm}4.5$ to $12.3{\pm}4.0$ (P>0.05); and total TOPs score, from $44.1{\pm}13.4$ to $45.3{\pm}13.6$ (P>0.05). The total mean length of utterance in words during the test decreased from $44.1{\pm}13.4$ to $45.3{\pm}13.6$ (P<0.05). The Receptive and Expressive Vocabulary Test results decreased from $97.7{\pm}22.1$ to $96.3{\pm}19.9months$, and from $81.8{\pm}23.4$ to $82.3{\pm}25.4months$, respectively (P>0.05). In the articulation and phonology validation in both groups, speech pitch and energy were not significant, and all the vowel test results showed no other significant values. Conclusion: No significant difference was found in the language-speaking ability between the patients; however, the number of vocabularies used decreased. Therefore, topiramate should be used cautiously for children with migraine.

The mirror neuron system in the cerebrum, which are handled by visual information-based imitative learning. When we observe the observer's range of mirror neuron system, we can assume intention of performance through progress of neural activation as specific range, in include of partially hidden range. It is goal of our paper that imitative learning is applied to 3D vision-based intelligent system. We have experiment as stereo camera-based restoration about acquired 3D image our previous research Using Optical flow, unscented Kalman filter. At this point, 3D input image is sequential continuous image as including of partially hidden range. We used Hidden Markov Model to perform the intention recognition about performance as result of restoration-based hidden range. The dynamic inference function about sequential input data have compatible properties such as hand gesture recognition include of hidden range. In this paper, for proposed intention recognition, we already had a simulation about object outline and feature extraction in the previous research, we generated temporal continuous feature vector about feature extraction and when we apply to Hidden Markov Model, make a result of simulation about hand gesture classification according to intention pattern. We got the result of hand gesture classification as value of posterior probability, and proved the accuracy outstandingness through the result.
In order to constructan ubiquitous computing environment, it is necessary to develop a technology that can recognize users and circumstances. In this regard, the question of recognizing and expressing user Context regardless of computer and language types has emerged as an important task under the heterogeneous distributed processing system. As a means to solve this task of representing user Context in the ubiquitous environment, this paper proposes to describe user Context as the most similar form of human thinking by using semantic web and fuzzy concept independentof language and computer types. Because the conventional method of representing Context using an usual collection has some limitations in expressing the environment of the real world, this paper has chosen to use Fuzzy OWL language, a fusion of fuzzy concept and standard web ontology language OWL. Accordingly, this paper suggests the following method. First we represent user contacted environmental information with a numerical value and states, and describe it with OWL. After that we transform the converted OWL Context into Fuzzy OWL. As a last step, we prove whether the automatic circumstances are possible in this procedure when we use fuzzy inference engine FiRE. With use the suggested method in this paper, we can describe Context which can be used in the ubiquitous computing environment. This method is more effective in expressing degree and status of the Context due to using fuzzy concept. Moreover, on the basis of the stated Context we can also infer the user contacted status of the environment. It is also possible to enable this system to function automatically in compliance with the inferred state.

In this paper, we suggest the method to improve the existing method leaning context-free grammar(CFG) using tabular representation(TBL) as a chromosome of genetic algorithm in grammatical inference and show the more efficient experimental result. We have two improvements. The first is to improve the formula to reflect the learning evaluation of positive and negative examples at the same time for the fitness function. The second is to classify partitions corresponding to TBLs generated from positive learning examples according to the size of the learning string, proceed with the evolution process by class, and adjust the composition ratio according to the success rate to apply the learning method linked to survival in the next generation. These improvements provide better efficiency than the existing method by solving the complexity and difficulty in the crossover and generalization steps between several individuals according to the size of the learning examples. We experiment with the languages proposed in the existing method, and the results show a rather fast generation rate that takes fewer generations to complete learning with the same success rate than the existing method. In the future, this method can be tried for extended CYK, and furthermore, it suggests the possibility of being applied to more complex parsing tables.

The preconsolidation pressure has been commonly determined by oedometer test. However, it can also be determined by insitu test, such as piezocone test with theoretical and(or) empirical correlations. Recently, Neural Network (NN) theory was applied and some models were proposed to estimate the preconsolidation pressure or OCR. It was already found that NN model can come over the site dependency and prediction accuracy is greatly improved when compared with present theoretical and empirical models. However, since the optimization process of synaptic weights of NN model is dependent on the initial synaptic weights, NN models which are trained with different initial weights can't avoid the variability on prediction result for new database even though they have same structure and use same transfer function. In this study, Committee Neural Network (CNN) model is proposed to improve the initial weight dependency of multi-layered neural network model on the prediction of preconsolidation pressure of soft clay from piezocone test result. Prediction results of CNN model are compared with those of conventional empirical and theoretical models and multi-layered neural network model, which has the optimized structure. It was found that even though the NN model has the optimized structure for given training data set, it still has the initial weight dependency, while the proposed CNN model can improve the initial weight dependency of the NN model and provide a consistent and precise inference result than existing NN models.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the features of science language in Earth science textbooks and Earth science research articles. We examined two Earth science textbooks and two Earth science articles using the taxonomy of scientific words, the text structure analysis of explanations, the analysis of conjunctive relations and reasoning, and the function of conjunction. The results showed that school science language revealed in Earth science textbooks had high proportion of naming words and the text structures in which definition/exemplification structure and description structure were dominant. Also, internal relations that showed additional arrangement rather than logical inference, were predominant in Earth science textbooks. However, scientists' science language revealed in the Earth science articles had more proportion of process words and concept words than the Earth science textbooks and the schematic structure of explanation texts, such as orientation - implication sequence - conclusion. In addition, the text structures in each sentences of implication -sequence showed cause/effect or problem-solving after description structures. Also each sentences expressed causal or abductive reasoning through the internal relations using verbs or adverbial inflection. It is necessary that we bridge the gap between the two languages for students' authentic use of science language. For the bridging, we propose "interlanguage", which mediates between school science language and scientists' language.

As functions that support virtualization on their own in hardware are developed, user applications having various workloads are operating efficiently in the virtualization system. SR-IOV is a virtualization support function that takes direct access to PCI devices, thus giving a high I/O performance by minimizing the need for hypervisor or operating system interventions. With SR-IOV, network I/O acceleration can be realized in virtualization systems that have relatively long I/O paths compared to bare-metal systems and frequent context switches between the user area and kernel area. To take performance advantages of SR-IOV, network resource management policies that can derive optimal network performance when SR-IOV is applied to an instance such as a virtual machine(VM) or container are being actively studied. This paper evaluates and analyzes the network performance of SR-IOV implementing I/O acceleration is compared with Virtio in terms of 1) network delay, 2) network throughput, 3) network fairness, 4) performance interference, and 5) multi-network. The contributions of this paper are as follows. First, the network I/O process of Virtio and SR-IOV was clearly explained in the virtualization system, and second, the evaluation results of the network performance of Virtio and SR-IOV were analyzed based on various performance metrics. Third, the system overhead and the possibility of optimization for the SR-IOV network in a virtualization system with high VM density were experimentally confirmed. The experimental results and analysis of the paper are expected to be referenced in the network resource management policy for virtualization systems that operate network-intensive services such as smart factories, connected cars, deep learning inference models, and crowdsourcing.
