In this paper, a new probabilistic generation modeling method which can address the characteristics of changed electricity industry is proposed. The major contribution of this paper can be captured in the development of a probabilistic generation modeling considering generator maintenance outage and in the classification of market demand into multiple demand clusters for the applications to electricity markets. Conventional forced outage rates of generators are conceptually combined with maintenance outage of generators and, consequently, effective outage rates of generators are newly defined in order to properly address the probabilistic characteristic of generation in electricity markets. Then, original market demands are classified into several distinct demand clusters, which are defined by the effective outage rates of generators and by the inherent characteristic of the original demand. We have found that generators have different effective outage rates values at each classified demand cluster, depending on the market situation. From this, therefore, it can be seen that electricity markets can also be classified into several groups which show similar patterns and that the fundamental characteristics of power systems can be more efficiently analyzed in electricity markets perspectives, for this classification can be widely applicable to other technical problems in power systems such as generation scheduling, power flow analysis, price forecasts, and so on.
Fowl cholera is an infectious disease caused by Pasteurella multocida that contributes to high economic loss in the commercial chicken industry. Three Pasteurella multocida strains were isolated from outbreaks of acute fowl cholera in the Korean layer farms from 2018 to 2019. One strain was identified and serotyped using capsular PCR typing. This strain was also genotyped by lipopolysaccharide (LPS) PCR typing as A: L3, whereas other strains were non-typable. The multilocus sequence typing (MLST) result showed that the A: L3 strain is sequence type (ST) 134; the non-typable strains were recorded as the following new STs: ST 366 and ST 374. Using phylogenetic tree analysis based on MLST sequences, we determined that ST 366 and ST 374 are closely related to the reference strains that were previously isolated from duck and chicken in Korea, and they were highly prevalent within the Korean cluster. In conclusion, Pasteurella multocida strains were identified and isolated in this study. Furthermore, this is the first report of using MLST to determine the prevalence of fowl cholera in Korea.
The aim of this study is to develop clothing size system according to each size interval for obese girls aged 10~12 by classifying the upper bodies. The criteria for subjects in this study were girls who had over 1.46 of the R$\ddot{o}$hrer Index. A total of 229 schoolgirls who met these criteria were enrolled. Results are as follows; 1st, 5 factors were extracted by factor analysis and 3 clusters were categorized by cluster analysis, cylinder-type, inverted triangle-type and inverted trapezoid-type. And 2nd, as a consequence of size system establishment, the basic body sizes and reference body sizes were different according to types even in commonly-appeared size names at sections of respective types. The research findings above suggest that it is necessary to figure out the obesity types according to height and bust girth sizes representing basic sizes and to design the patterns in consideration of the characteristics of obese body shapes. And it may be used as a basic data to decide the desirable output of production according to respective body types.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the clothing pursuit benefits of female consumers in twenties, and explain the differences in underwear purchase behaviors among them. For data collection, research questionnaires were responded by 232 female consumers living in Busan. The collected data were analyzed by the frequency factor analysis using SPSS 12.0 for Windows, the factor analysis using Varimax, reliability analysis, cluster analysis, ANOVA, Duncan test, and ${\chi}^2$-test. The results of this study were as follows: First, consumers' clothing pursuit benefit was drawn from six factors: Self-esteem, Individuality, Fashion, Brand, Practicality, and Price pursuit. The results of the factor analysis of clothing benefit were divided into four groups: Brand pursuit group, Fashion pursuit group, Self-esteem pursuit group, and Individuality/rationality pursuit group. Second, the results of analysing underwear purchase behaviors among clothing pursuit benefit groups showed significant differences in purchase motive, source of information, evaluation criteria, and purchase practices. The underwear purchase motives were significantly different in diversity purchase factor between the groups; sources of information used for underwear purchase were significantly different in the window display factor. The underwear evaluation criteria were significantly different among the groups in decoration and practicality factors, while purchase practices were significantly different among the groups only in underwear purchasing places.
The purpose of this study was to examine the sportswear purchase decision factors and brand preference of college students. The subjects in this study were 614 college students who were selected by cluster random sampling from Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province. The collected data were analyzed by crosstab analysis, and the findings of the study were as follows: If a sportswear company has college students as a target market, first, the company needs to consider design and utility. Second, the company needs to expand internet sale while maintaining a strategy for centering on speciality shop and department store as for a sale of sportswear. Third, the college students themselves have a right of choice according to purchasing sportswear. Thus, a distribution company requires a direct marketing strategy targeting college students. Fourth, simple design of adding a fashion trend is needed. Fifth, the sportswear company needs to expand production and sale in jumpers and trousers based on T-shirts. Sixth, color in sportswear needs to be composed of design based on gray or black color. In order for a sportswear company to be adjusted to the global market environment here after, it requires an effort to continuously grasp consumers' trend and to apply new design and color. Also, the company will be able to be equipped with competitive edge by producing diversely functional products that are demanded by the segmented market.
This study aims to improve the fit of middle and high school girls' uniforms. This study researched on the sizing system reflecting their body figures. The results are as follows. First, to classify the middle and high school girls' figures, factor analysis, and cluster analysis were conducted. 4 factors were extracted for upper body of the middle school girls, and 5 factors were extracted for the highschool girls. For the lower body, 3 factors were extracted for both the middle and high school girls. The middle school girls were then divided into 4 groups for the upper body and 4 groups for the lower body. The high school girls were divided into 4 upper and lower body groups. Third, KS size intervals were used for frequency distribution of height and bust for the bodice, height and waist for the lower body. Sizing system of the uniform company and the frequency distribution of sizes were compared. As a result, sizing system of the uniform company and the frequency distribution overlapped very little. Fourth, sizing system considering body type distribution and high frequency distribution of sizes was suggested. As a result when 6 sizes were suggested 30% of the population was covered, and when 11 sizes were suggested 55% of the population was covered.
This study examined the effect of beauty involvement on self-satisfaction by conspicuous consumption tendency groups. A questionnaire method was used for this study. The subjects of this research were females in their 20s~50s. We distributed 580 questionnaires ets; constantly, 554 sets were used in the final analysis. Data were analyzed by factor analysis, ANOVA, cluster analysis, Cronbach's alpha coefficient and multiple regression analysis. Beauty consumption behavior factors were classified with hair styling, skin management, make-up and body shaping. Self-satisfaction factors were classified with living, appearance, economic and interpersonal relation. This study classified 4 conspicuous consumption groups (active, passive, syntonic and individuality & frugal group). The active conspicuous consumption group was unsatisfied with most of the self-satisfaction factors. The passive conspicuous consumption group was more interested in skin management factors than other factors. The syntonic conspicuous consumption group was interested in make-up, body shaping and skin management in order to provide a positive impression to other people. The individuality & frugal group was most interested in body shaping that could be achieved at low cost through exercise and diet.

Patent information as a proxy measure of technological capability has been utilized to establish technological strategies of firms. It is important to monitor what competitors' plans for direction on research and development in the initial stage of new industry. Cancer metabolism has been considered as a beacon of hope for cancer research because it is anticipated that the research field will play a central role in developing effective cancer therapies. There is little attention given to understanding the status quo of organizational configurations. By utilizing network analysis, six sub-groups of cancer metabolism were categorized and the relationship between an individual field and participants were analyzed based on cluster and entire network-level. Although the largest drug and biotech companies tried to take an initiative across the whole fields, the differences in technological capabilities between them was discovered. This paper attempts to improve the validity of the suggested procedure and is significant in that it looks at the entire structure of cancer metabolism research from a strategic perspective for the first time.
Background : Performance evaluation of medical care providers has become more important than before in Korea. Especially in university hospitals, job contents of medical staffs are so complicated that evaluation is not easily performed. In addition, in order that the feedback of evaluation be successful, acceptance of staffs to be evaluated is essential. This study is aimed at the development of items for evaluation and weighting of each item in one university hospital, and clustering departments by different weight given by medical staffs. Methods : Through resource group meeting. performance items were listed up by categories of education, research, medical services, and other activities in and out of the hospital. For each item, all the medical staffs were asked how important they thought, compared with publishing one original article. By factor analysis, the items in each category were grouped into a few subgroups. In turn, cluster analysis was done for the purpose of grouping departments by priority the medical staffs gave. Results and Conclusion : Among five major categories, medical staffs regard education, research, and medical services more important than other activities in and out of the hospital. Five categories consisted of two or three components. Departments in hospital were grouped into three. However, characteristics of each group was not clearly delineated. This result suggests that more comprehensive tool should be developed and applied in the process of performance evaluation in university hospitals.

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the dual-punishment system by analysis of the financial performance of pharmaceutical companies before and after introduction of the dual-punishment system. This study analyzed the business performance of 136 pharmaceutical companies from 2009 to 2011. The results from paired t-tests found that sales, operating cost, and EBITDA showed significant differences in performance, and, according to the variance analysis, the five groups obtained through a hierarchical cluster analysis differed from each other in sales, operating cost, EBITDA, and research and development cost. Differences in financial performance among the groups seem to be related to the strategy for response to the regulation. The introduction of the dual-punishment system is generally acknowledged to have had positive effects on the pharmaceutical industry. However, some companies appear to be continuing kickback practices.
