지역통합 네트워크관리하의 재고통제 운용전략에 관한 연구 (An Operational Strategy for Inventory Control of Networked Regional Distribution Centers)

  • Operational strategy for inventory control in the distribution system has been given attention. If an individual enterprise implements the strategy, it is not easy to gain scale merits because of limited quantity or burden of inventory. In this study, we propose an operational strategy for inventory control that considers managerial integration of regional distribution centers (RDCs) and present a model of it. In a network of several RDCs, they could share inventory information and supply parts for others in case of an inventory shortage. And a numerical example of the network is illustrated, which compares two operational strategies, integration management of RDCs and individual management of them. The result shows total cost reduction in the strategy of integration management through the efficient inventory control of multi-echelon distribution.

  • Pneumatic control system has been applied to build many industrial automation systems. But most of them are sequence control type because of their low costs, safety, reliability, etc. Pneumatic servo system is rarely applied to real industrial fields because accurate position control is very difficult due to its nonlinearity and compressibility of air. In pneumatic servo control system, a pneumatic servo valve can be applied, But it is very expensive and has no advantage of low cost compared with a common pneumatic system. This paper is concerned with the accurate position control of a rodless pneumatic cylinder using on/off solenoid valve. A novel Intelligent Modified Pulse Width Modulation(MPWM) is newly proposed. The control performance of this pneumatic cylinder depends on the external loads. To overcome this problem, switching of control parameter using artificial neural network is newly proposed, which estimates external loads on rodless pneumatic cylinder using this training neural network. As an underlying controller, a state feedback controller using position, velocity and acceleration is applied in the switching control the system. The effectiveness of the proposed control algorithms are demonstrated through experiments nth various loads.

외기냉방 시스템의 제어방법이 에너지 소비량에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (Effects of Control Methods of Outdoor Air Cooling System on Energy Consumption in Building)

  • 본 연구에서는 자연외기를 활용하여 건물의 에너지절약을 위한 외기냉방제어 시스템에 대하여 다양한 제어방법에 따른 제어특성 및 에너지 소비량에 미치는 영향에 관해 시뮬레이션 연구를 수행하였다. 연구 방법으로는 TRNSYS 프로그램을 활용하여 시스템 해석 모델링을 수행하였으며, 외기 냉방을 하지 않은 경우와 기존의 외기냉방 제어방법들을 적용하였을 경우에 대해 제어성능에 대한 비교 분석이 이루어졌다. 연구 결과로 외기온도 변화에 따라 적절한 외기도입 온도조건을 선정하는 것이 에너지 절감에 효과적이며, 외기와 환기온도를 비교하여 온도제어하는 방법이 에너지 절감효과가 가장 크게 나타남을 알 수 있었다.

한국제조기업 품질관리활동의 동적 분석 (An Dynamic Analysis of Quality Control in Korean Manufacturing Industry)

  • The effectiveness of quality control is contingent to adaptability to the present circumstance. The objectives of this study are to provide empirical data to carry out qualify control effectively. To accomplish this purpose, an empirical study was made by questionaire (mailing survey method, Feb. to Mar. in 1987). The sample is the 167 companies in Korean manufacturing industry. The main findings out of the analysis are as follows the stage of quality control is concentrated in appraisal phase, the company standard is equiped gradually in non-KS marked company and the need of economic evaluation about quality control is increased gradually. With a view to analysing of relationship between quality control and it's effect factors (company standard, KS mark, computer based information system), the methods of $\chi$$^2$ test are used. The company standard have a significant difference in top manager's altitude to duality control, operation stage of quality control. operation scope of qualify control and quality budgeting system but is insignificant with economic evaluation about duality control. Otherwise, KS mark is insignificant with the equality control activity except for operation scope. The quality information system based in computer have a significant difference in operation stage, operation scope and economic evaluation. Therefor, for the purpose of attaining effectiveness of quality control through the economic evaluation about quality control, the company standard and computer based duality information system must be utilized in quality control activity.

  • One of the basic goals, when considering networks for communication in industrial control applications, is the reduction of complexity of related wiring harnesses. In addition, the networking offers the advantages for industrial control applications, such as ease of cabling, ease of changes in the cabling, ease of adding controller modules, etc. CAN (Controller Area Network) is generally applied in car networking in order to reduce the complexity of the related wiring harnesses. These traditional CAN application techniques are modified to achieve the real time communication for the industrial control applications. In this paper, we propose the method of CAN Identifier assignment for Real-Time network system. This method is can be used to scheduling messages on CAN for Real-Time network system. And also, the real-time network system is developed and the proposed moth(Ids are verified experimentally.

위성 도킹 지상시험장치의 어드미턴스 제어 (Admittance Control for Satellite Docking Ground Testing System)

  • The paper presents a hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) system designed for satellite movement testing in the microgravity environment on the ground with two industrial robots. Especially, the paper deals with the contact between satellites during rendezvous and docking simulations of satellites using a robotic HILS system. For this purpose, the admittance control method plays a core role in preventing damage to the satellite or robot from contact force between satellites. The coordinate frames are transformed into the mass center of the satellite and the admittance control at the level of exponential coordinates is adopted to actively use the properties of Lie groups related to tracking errors. These methods effectively mitigate the risk of robot damage during inter-satellite contact and ensure efficient tracking performance of satellite movements.

  • The real-time industrial network, often referred to as fieldbus, is an important element for building automated manufacturing systems. Thus, in order to satisfy the real-time requirements of field devices, numerous fieldbus protocols have been announced. But the application of fieldbus has been limited due to the high cost of hardware and the difficulty in interfacing with multi-vendor products. Therefore, as an alternative to fieldbus, the computer network technology, especially Ethernet (IEEE 802.3), is being adapted to the industrial environment. However, the crucial technical obstacle for Ethernet is its non-deterministic behavior that makes it inadequate for industrial applications where real-time data have to be delivered within a certain time limit. Recently, the development of switched Ethernet shows a very promising prospect for industrial application due to the elimination of uncertainties in the network operation resulting in much improved performance. This paper focuses on the application of the switched Ethernet for industrial communications. More specifically, this paper presents an analytical and experimental performance evaluation of the switched Ethernet and a case study about networked control system.

계량형 관리도와 관련된 불편화 상수의 비교 (Comparison of the Unbiasing Constants in Connection with Variable Control Charts)

  • With the advent of lean-six sigma era, an extensive use of analytic tools such as control charts is required in the field of manufacturing. In relation to statistical quality control (SQC) or process control (SPC), the Korean standards have undergone a meaningful change. In this study, the theoretic backgrounds for evaluating the control limits in connection with the variable control charts are examined in view of better understanding the related constants and coefficients. This paper is intended to help the quality control practitioners understand the mathematical backgrounds by comparing related quality control constants and also to encourage them to make use of and to take the advantage of the variable control charts which are very useful for implementing the concept of lean-six sigma in many industrial sites.

로버스트 추정에 근거한 수정된 ${\bar{x}}$-s 관리도의 설계 (Design of Modified ${\bar{x}}$-s Control Chart based on Robust Estimation)

  • Control charts are generally used for process control, but the role of traditional control charts have been limited in case of a non-contaminated process. Traditional ${\bar{x}}$-s control chart has not been activated well for such a problem because of trying to control processes as center line and control limits changed by the contaminated value. This paper suggests modified ${\bar{x}}$-s control chart based on robust estimation. In this paper, we consider the trimmed mean of the sample means and the trimmed mean of the sample standard deviations. By comparing with ARL value, the responding results are decided. The comparison resultant results of traditional control chart and modified control chart are contrasted.

The Estimation of the Coverage Probability in a Redundant System with a Control Module

  • The concept of the coverage has been played an important role in the area of reliability evaluation of a system. The widely used measures of reliability include the m time between failures, the availability and so on. In this paper, we propose an estimator of the coverage probability in a redundant system with a control unit and investigate some moments of the proposed estimator. And assuming exponential distribution of all units, we conduct a simulation study for calculating the estimates of the coverage probability and its confidence bounds. An example of evaluating the availability of an optical transportation system is illustrated.
