University residence halls have become one of the most important issues for students when selecting their academic institutions. However, in South Korea, while universities maintain technologically up-to-date facilities, when it comes to safety or security, the management is unsatisfactory. As a result, the number of violent crime has been increasing. However, there are few researches in terms of practical validity of CPTED Guidelines even though a myriad of researchers study about CPTED Guidelines. Therefore, this study endeavours to investigate the validity of theoretical CPTED Guidelines that to what extent it might be adopted for design process. As a methodology, Space Syntax Convex map and Visibility Graph Analysis (VGA) are chosen. As a result, since the types of space which have a high level of Space Syntax Index are analogous with space treated on CPTED Guidelines, it roughly shows that the theoretical CPTED Guidelines could be adopted in practical architectural design process. Furthermore, it reveals that there is a close relationship between detail design guide stated in CPTED Guidelines and the result of VGA. That is, through the analysis, it is proved that the validity of CPTED Guidelines is quite enough to be adopted in practical design process.

In national prospective, the needs to develop water resources has been increased due to water shortage from diverse use of water resources in agricultural areas. Existing agricultural water demand, which has mainly been limited to the use of farming, are now expanding to diverse water uses such as supporting daily lives, diluting environmental pollution as well as industrial use for agricultural complex currently under construction in agricultural region. In this situation, for the sake of effective procurement of water resources and supply method, it is definitely required to enhance the effectiveness of budget investment and project proceedings through integrated re-development which links projects to strengthen existing dams, reservoirs and hydraulic facilities. The major scopes of this research includes developing different types of system such as selecting potential sites to re-construct reservoirs including generating base maps and thematic maps, data collection regarding water demands and reservoir status; analyzing reservoir data; estimating developable capacity and index calculation; and forecasting inundated areas. In addition, this study provides other products such as developing output generation system which can support wide use of data built and analyzed; database generation for better data management; data analysis including selection, extraction, indexation, and calculation of base items through standardization; data security system prohibiting exterior proliferation and malicious manufacturing of data.

Due to the lack of visualization services and organic combinations between public and private buildings data, the usability of the basic map has remained low. To address this issue, this paper reports on a solution that organically combines public and private data while providing visualization services to general users. For this purpose, factors that can affect building prices first were examined in order to define the related data attributes. To extract the relevant data attributes, this paper presents a method of acquiring public information data and real estate-related information, as provided by private real estate portal sites. The paper also proposes a pretreatment process required for intelligent machine learning. This report goes on to suggest an intelligent machine learning algorithm that predicts buildings' value pricing and future value by using big data regarding buildings' spatial information, as acquired from a database containing building value attributes. The algorithm's availability was tested by establishing a prototype targeting pilot areas, including Suwon, Anyang, and Gunpo in South Korea. Finally, a prototype visualization solution was developed in order to allow general users to effectively use buildings' value ranking and value pricing, as predicted by intelligent machine learning.

This study is the basic direction of the BIM bases ubiquitous safety monitoring. First, studied the background and the purpose of the study, and it's scope and methods. Second, described the concept of BIM and investigated how BIM bases proceed through actual condition of ubiquitous safety monitoring. Third, identified BIM bases ubiquitous safety monitoring which can be applied consistently, Forth, DCP bases ubiquitous safety monitoring which can be applied consistently, Also, Finally, suggested the conclusion and sat the future research by analyzing the study results. It is expected to be worked out a way as a new model ubiquitous safety monitoring which will be combined with a ubiquitous DCP.

Purpose: In the past, the South Korean government made various efforts to attract Chinese tourists, resulting in gradually more inbound tourists. In 2016, the number of Chinese tourists to South Korea peaked at 8.06 million and became the top source market. Nevertheless, increasing numbers of consumers choose to adopt the mobile payment tool instead of cash and credit cards in modern times with developed IT services. Research design, data, and methodology: IBM SPSS AMOS 23.0 and IBM Statistics 23.0 were used to analyze the data, which was collected from hotel employees in China from March 25 to May 10. Results: First, Interactivity, security, convenience, local information supply and user interface had positive effects on satisfaction and reliability. Second, it was believed that the convenience of Alipay played a positive role in increasing reliability and satisfaction through verification. Third, the role of use rate was found to be important in the development of Alipay functions. Conclusions: Based on the result, an analysis on the development of the Alipay market and the use of Alipay in South Korea is warranted. Furthermore, this paper will serve as a basis for flexible strategic plans for the development of Alipay and SMEs in South Korea.

Bitcoin and other prominent cryptocurrencies have gained much attention since the last several years. Globally known as digital coin and virtual currency, this cryptocurrency is gained and traded within the blockchain system. The blockchain technology adopted in using the cryptocurrency has raised the eyebrows within the banking sector, government, stakeholders and individual investors. The rise of the cryptocurrency within this decade since the inception of Bitcoin in 2009 has taken the market by storm. Cryptocurrency is anticipated as the future currency that might replace the current paper currency worldwide. Even though the interest has caught the attention of users, many are not aware of its opportunities, drawbacks and challenges for the future. Researches on cryptocurrencies are still lacking and still at its infancy stage. In providing substantial guide and view to the academic field and users, this paper will discuss the opportunities in the cryptocurrency such as the security of its technology, low transaction cost and high investment return. The originality of this paper is on the discussion within law and regulation, high energy consumption, possibility of crash and bubble, and attacks on network. The future undertakings of cryptocurrency and its application will be systematically reviewed in this paper.

This study aims to investigate the importance of earnings quality as a determinant of companies' performance. It provides some empirical evidences from an emerging market, specifically from the Jordanian market. This study developed an econometric model for the effect of earnings quality on the companies' performance using empirical evidence. The study employs a panel data analysis method by using a sample of all Jordanian industrial public shareholding companies listed on Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) during 2010-2018. The results reveal that Return on Assets (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), and Earnings Per Share (EPS) as proxies of company's performance are affected by the earnings quality. This provides the importance of positive earnings quality that eventually influences the companies' performance. The results of this study suggest that the higher control level on the managers' behavior and its outcome will have an effect on earnings quality, and thus the company's performance increases. As well as, high relevance of accounting information will improve earnings quality, and thus earnings quality with the interaction factors of the company's environment work on improving performance. As a conclusion, this study can work as a reference to assist standard setters, security analysts, regulators and other accounting-information users in appraising relation between the earnings quality and companies' performance.

Purpose - To understand the growing interests in the professional temporary workforce, this study aimed to examine the different types of professional temporary workers and their different effects on creative performance. Design/methodology/approach - By sub-classifying professional temporary workers as boundaryless workers and transitional workers, this study developed propositions to provide comprehensive framework for directing meaningful topics for future research on professional temporary workers. Findings - This study suggested that two types of professional temporary workers may differ significantly in terms of their work efforts for getting approval or acceptance from the team members and for achieving creative contributions in teams. Specifically, drawing on expectance theory, social identity theory and resource-based theory, this study discussed the relationship between acceptance(task-oriented vs. relational-oriented acceptance), employment duration(short-term status vs. long-term status), contract security(volition being temporary worker) and creative performance for boundaryless workers versus transitional workers. Research implications or Originality - This study have implications for increasing our understanding of professional temporary workers by showing that creative performance may vary by employment types.

Purpose: This study verified the influence of teachers' job characteristics on empowerment and job performance, and the mediating effect of empowerment in the relationship between job characteristics factors and job performance. Research design, data, and methodology: As a factor influencing human resources that influence organizational success or failure, job characteristics induce an important psychological state in organizational members, which affects individual motivation and job satisfaction, thereby achieving the goal of securing stable management and job security. In this study, a questionnaire survey of private academy instructors was conducted and reliability and factor analysis, and multiple regression analysis were used. Results: The purpose of this study was to understand the effect of the job characteristics of academy instructors on empowerment and job performance, and to verify whether empowerment plays a mediating role in the relationship between job characteristics and job performance. Conclusions: As a result of verifying Hypothesis 1, the educational environment, expertise, and social support of academy instructors all had a significant positive (+) effect on job performance. As a result of the verification of Hypothesis 2, empowerment greatly mediated the relationship between the educational environment, expertise, and job performance. However, empowerment did not mediate the relationship between social support for academy instructors and job performance.

Purpose: The coronavirus pandemic has affected the tourism industry in a big way. The travel industry suffered intense damage from the pandemic and procedures acquainted to containing its spread because the pandemic outbreak has led to a decline in the number of tourists and a change in their behavior. At this point, this research is to investigate adequate solutions for tourism industry to overcome the crisis in a post-Covid 19 era. Research design, data and methodology: The current author gathered data from each included study to analyze and summarize the evidence when conducting a literature analysis. This stage involves gathering and reviewing intricate texts databases for the meta-analysis. Results: The current author found total five solutions from numerous literature contents, suggesting how to overcome the crisis in a post-Covid era for tourism industry. Solutions as follows, (1) Drawing beginning illustrations, (2) Introducing Government Backing Programs, (3) Increasing Promotion of Tourism Destinations, (4) Enhancing Safety and Security Measures, and (5) Improving Infrastructure and Facilities. Conclusions: This research suggests that although the global economic recession leads to reduced demand and intense competition from other sectors, the tourism industry will be well positioned to weather these challenges if practitioners of tourism organizations follow five solutions of this research.
