The strategy of regional industrial specialization is empirically evaluated by examining the relationship between regional industrial structures and economic performances. The regional industrial structure is measured by three industrial diversity indices such as ogive approach, entropy maximizing approach, and economic growth and employment instability in 12 regions is analyzed. According to the time series analysis, we found that the region with more diversified industrial structure experiences more stable in employment. Otherwise, the growth rate of the region with more simplified industrial structure is higher. Therefore, the strategy of industrial specialization is implemented in order to pursuit a rapid economic growth in the short run.

Industrial agglomeration policy is a strategy that is expected to accelerate economic growth to transform an impoverished region into a prosperous one. However, industrial agglomeration also has the potential to exacerbate development inequality due to the concentration of economic development activities in certain areas. Therefore, this study aims to investigate what strategies are best to minimize the adverse effects of industrial agglomeration. This study uses econometric analysis with panel data covering 38 districts/cities in East Java during the 2011-2019 period. The results showed that the combination of industrial agglomeration policies coupled with accelerated sectoral growth, hard infrastructure development, and soft infrastructure provided the best policy outcome, improving regional inequality and accelerating economic growth in East Java. Based on the analysis, we find that East Java's economic growth characteristics are convergent but relatively long. Therefore, the East Java economic development policy during 2010-2019 should be reviewed due to the relatively long convergence period. Furthermore, this study also found that industrial agglomeration slows down the convergence and economic growth of East Java. In the future, the deployment of Industrial Development Centers (PPI) outside the existing eight districts/cities is needed to accelerate the spread of economic activity in East Java.

In a technological driven environment, a depreciation estimate which is based on traditional life analysis results in a decelerated rate of capital recovery. This time pattern of technological growths models needs to be incorporated into life analysis framework especially in those industries experiencing fast technological changes. The approximation technique for calculating the variance can be applied to the six growth models that were selected by the degree of skewness and the transformation of the functions. For the Pearl growth model, the Gompertz growth model, and the Weibull growth model, the errors have zero mean and a constant variance over time. However, transformed models like the linearized Fisher-Pry model, the linearized Gompertz growth model, and the linearized Weibull growth model have increasing variance from zero to that point at which inflection occurs. It can be recommended that if the variance of error over time is increasing, then a transformation of observed data is appropriate.

The error structure of nonlinearized technological growth models, such as, the Pearl curve, the Gompertz curve and the Wei bull growth curve, has zero mean and a constant variance over time. Transformed models, however, like the linearized Fisher-Pry model. the linearized Gompertz growth curve, and the linearized Weibull growth curve have increasing variance from t = 0 to the inflection point.

수출증가가 경제성장을 초래한다는 수출주도성장가설에 관한 실증분석은 주로 개발도상국을 대상으로 하여 시계열 또는 횡단면 자료를 이용하여 지난 1970년대 초부터 최근까지 주요한 관심사가 되어 왔다. 이와 같은 수출주도성장가설에 관한 실증분석은 한국을 포함하여 주로 개발도상국가에 해당되는 아시아 국가들을 분석 대상으로 이루어져 왔다. 본 논문은 여러 국가들의 횡단면 분석보다는 한국의 제조산업에 초점을 맞추어 공적분검정과 오차수정모형을 추정하여 산업의 수출증가와 산업의 성장과의 관계를 조명함으로서 수출주도성장 가설을 검정하였다. 생산과 수출에서 비중이 큰 석유화학, 1차 금속 그리고 조립금속 운송기계를 포함하여 8개의 제조산업 중 6개의 제조산업이 양방향의 인과관계성을 보이고 있기 때문에 한국 제조산업에서는 전반적으로 실질수출액과 실질생산액에 사이에서 양방향의 인과성 관계가 존재한다고 결론을 내릴 수 있다.

본 연구는 충남지역을 대상으로 지역전략산업이 지역경제성장에 미친 효과를 실증분석하고 전략산업별로 산업성장 단계를 유형화하여 그 문제점을 진단하고 시사점을 도출하였다. 전체적으로 지역전략산업에 대한 지원정책을 통해서 충남지역의 경제가 일정한 성장을 달성하고 있는 것으로 분석되었으나, 전략산업간 세부업종 간에는 많은 차이가 있었고, 산업의 선정과 지원과정에서의 문제점을 확인되었다. 이를 개선하기 위해서 본 연구에서 제시한 산업성장단계 유형화에 따라 지역산업구조를 쇠퇴산업, 성장산업, 그리고 미래의 유망산업들이 서로 조화를 이룰 수 있도록 포토폴리오 방식의 지역산업육성 전략이 필요하다.

Recent competitive and technological changes during the past decade have accelerated the need for better capital recovery methods. Competition and technology have together shortened the expected lives of property which could not have been forecasted several years ago. Since the usage of technological growth models has been prevalent in various technological forecasting environments, the various forms of growth models have become numerous. Of six such models studied, some models do significantly better than others, especially at low penetration levels in predicting future levels of growth. A set of criteria for choosing an appropriate model for technological growth models was developed. Two major characteristics of an S-shaped curve were elected which differentiate the various models; they are the skewness of the curve and underlying assumptions regarding the variance of error structure of the model.

This study aimed to analyze the influence of the industrial growth and the effect on government tax potential of the South Sulawesi Province. The growth of the tax object affects government tax potential of South Sulawesi Province. Environmental resources affect government tax potential of the province. The study used multiple linear regressions on primary data. The population consisted of all officers and staff involved in regional work units. Revenue Service area in South Sulawesi Province counts 630 employees. The sampling method is purposive sampling random carried out based on specific objectives. The respondent qualifications are taken from the Technical Implementation Unit Office and the Department of Revenue. The number of respondents is 96 from the Head of UPTD and three of them are related with tax Section Chief Officer. The results showed that industrial growth has a significant and positive effect on the potential increase in tax of South Sulawesi. Growth in tax object significantly affects the potential increasing tax of South Sulawesi. Environmental resources significantly affect the potential Increase in tax. Practical recommendations for local government is to enhance tax potential, reduce bureaucracy in industrial licensing, and facilitate local farmers to get involved in economic contributions.

본 연구는 빠른 성장과 일자리 창출에 기여할 수 있는 고성장 산업군을 발굴하여 육성전략을 도출해 보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 고성장 산업군을 가젤산업이라고 명명하고 '사업체당 종사자수가 10인 이상이면서 최근 5년간 Birch 고용성장지수로 측정한 고용창출 기여도가 모집단 전체의 상위 10% 이내인 산업'이라고 정의하였다. 가젤산업의 정의에 따라 충남의 가젤산업을 105개 선정하고, 전국대비 충남 가젤산업의 경쟁력을 분석해보고 충남도내 각 시 군간 경쟁력 차이를 분석해 시사점을 도출하였다. 또한, 사업체규모계수(BQ)와 산업성장률(IG)을 개발하고 산업발전단계 유형화 방법을 고안하여 충남가젤산업의 산업발전단계별 육성전략을 제안하였다.

Ethanol extracts from 36 vegetable samples were assayed for their growth-promoting effects on Bifidobacterium bifidum, B. longum, and Lactobacillus casei The growth-promoting effects varied according to bacterial strain and vegetable species. In modified Gy rgy broth, extracts of Lactuca sativa, Lycopersicon esculentum and L escutentum var. cerasiforme exhibited strong growth-promoting responses toward B. longum, and significant and strong growth- promoting response toward B. bifidum was observed in extracts of Actinidia arguta, Allium cepa, A. sativum, Brassica campestris subsp. napus vats. pekinensis, Capsicum frutescens, Daucus carota var. sativa, L sativa, 1. esculentum and L. esculentum var. cerasforme, Nelumbo nucifera, Cucurbita moschata, Lackca sativa var. capitata, and Rubus coreanus. For L casei, extracts of A. fshlosum, A. hberosum, Cichorium intbus, Cucurbita moschat\ulcorner Ipomoea batatas, 1. sativa var. capitata, L. esculentum, P. brachycarpa, Raphanus sativus, R. coreanus, and S. melongena strongly enhanced the growth of this bacteria. In modified Gy rgy broth, the promoting effect was most pronounced with B. bifidum and L. casei among lactic acid bacteria used. In MRS broth, A. arguta, A. cepa, A. sativum, B. campestris subsp. napus var. pekinensis, C. frutescens, and D. carota var. sativa L. satiw var. capitata, and R. coreanus strongly enhanced the growth of B. bifidum, Growth of B. longum was strongly affected by the addition of extracts from L. sativa var. capitata. For L casei, moderate growth-promoting responses were observed in 9 vegetable extracts. The promoting effect in MRS broth was most pronounced with B. bifidum among lactic acid bacteria used.
