  • There is a currently a focus on the usability of interactive computer products. Many usability measurement and evaluation methods have been developed in the fields of human-computer interaction and software ergonomics. In this paper, the issues of usability evaluation methods are introduced, and the usability evaluation methods are classified and compared. Also, the framework for systematic usability effort based on product' lifecycle is presented.

  • Effective use of debugging in computer science education is a topic that has received little attention. Existing tools either are too overwhelming for the novice or are too basic and inflexible. Furthermore, the integration of the debugger into complex IDEs have unfamiliar debuggers from students, resulting in a harmful proliferation of console I/O. In this paper, a new stand-alone educational debugging tool is presented, with simple but powerful tools for easily observing and modifying program execution state. This tool is analyzed from an user perspective, and is compared with existing tools.

  • A computer simulation model for optimum design and determination of optimal operational parameter values for modern container terminal systems was developed through the use of GASP-IV, a subset of SLAM. Input data reflecting current system configuration and operational practices at Pusan container terminal was used to test the model, which resulted in its validation. Possibilities for application of the model in areas of candidate system comparisons, operational parameter testing and forecasting operational performance under future traffic situations, are explained.

  • It is necessary to measure all the size and contours of the human figures to design all the materials for the human natures. So this study is provided to develop new method on the measurements of human contour (Athromet) using image Process techniques which would be more simple and accurate then the other known methods. T.V. cameras, quantizer, micro computer and printer are utilized to this study. The author had acknowledged that this process provides the accurate and speedy results from the vast majority of data compare to the formerly developed methods.

  • Bioelectrical measurement has long been an important area in medical researches and practices, and contributed valueable data to the field of human engineering. In particular, the measurement of EEG has been widely used for the study of brain function as well as for the diagnosis of various brain disorders. The present study tried to improve conventional measurements of EEG in that FFT algorithm with microcomputer machine language was applied to facilitate the computation of various aspects of the EEG.

  • Attempts have been made to describe the influence of production process parameters on the microstructure and properties of W-Ag and Mo-Ag composites. The compositions of powder mixtures are W+30% Ag and Mo+30%Ag. Silver additions assists densification during sintering by a liquid phase sintering process. The main goal of this work is to compare properties and microstructure of as-sintered and as-infiltrated composites.

  • 본 논문에서는 에너지 함수의 직접적인 평가에 기초해 홉필드 신경망을 진화시킴에 따라 적응적으로 에너지 계수를 결정하는 기법을 제시하고자 한다. 이 기법에 근거하여 구해지는 계수들의 효과를 검증하기 위해 응용 모델인 TSP(Traveling Salesman Problem)에 적용하여, 실험을 통한 계수 값의 변화 추이를 분석하고 그 결과를 기존의 기법들과 비교한다. 또한 제안된 방법에 필수적인 각 단계에서의 에너지 값의 평가를 위한 부가적인 연산을 줄이기 위해 단계적으로 증감분만을 계산하는 효율적인 연산법을 제시한다.

  • The shipbuilding industry is one of the domains which need an effective computer application. Particularly the productivity of process planning of a shipbuilding for crude -oil tanker can be greatly enhanced by introducing CAPP(Computer Aied Process Planning). In this paper we describe a prototype expert system which enables block division process planning in shipbuilding. The system determines block division lines of the midship sections of oiltanker. Case-based reasoning(CBR) approach is applied for this purpose instead of rule-based one.

  • We can reduce delays and number of stops in the traffic area by means of optimal design of traffic signal system. A computer simulation model to simulate and predict the traffic signal system of Jong-Ro 4-th street was developed for determination of optimal cycle time. This simulation model was developed in relation to Jong-Ro 4-th street, but this model can be applied for other places with small modification.
