This study aimed to verify the validity of the evaluation items and weight determination of the indoor environmental safety area, which has the most frequent accidents, among the safety certification evaluations of educational facilities by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea, which has been conducted since May 2021. As a preceding study, the evaluation items of the school safety evaluation checklist being implemented in the US state of Vermont were compared, and the causes of accidents judged by teachers in the accident experiences written by 200 Korean teachers were compared with the safety certification evaluation items belonged to the Ministry of Education. In addition, research literature using the AHP analysis technique on safety risks of elementary and secondary schools in China and safety evaluation index study cases of 539 elementary school children in Indonesia were analyzed. Through these preceding studies, measures to add and adjust evaluation items were derived and the validity and importance rankings of evaluation items were calculated through AHP questionnaires to teachers and safety experts. In addition, a survey was conducted on 104 ordinary people to verify the results of expert analysis. As a result of expert AHP analysis, 'safety education and disaster response training (.396)' was the highest priority for the relative importance of the first layer, followed by 'safety measures (.387)' and 'building materials'. Safety (.216)' was found to be the highest priority. In the overall importance ranking of the 13 second-tier screening items, safety accident prevention education had the highest priority and disaster preparedness training ranked second, proving that the Ministry of Education's review weight was underestimated. In addition, slip and collision accident countermeasures, which were not in the existing Ministry of Education review items, ranked 4th, laboratory practice room safety measures ranked 6th, and sanitation, cleanliness, hazardous substance management, and cafeteria/cooking room safety measures ranked 9th, indicating a significant level of importance. Referring to the importance ranking, which is the result of this study, it is suggested that it is necessary to review the weight of each review item again.

The purpose of this study is to propose a management method to maintain the pleasant indoor air quality of the dental clinic by measuring and analyzing the indoor air quality of the dental clinic. The measurement was conducted in two rooms, a lobby where many residents stay in the reception room for waiting for medical treatment, and a VIP room where treatment activities are mainly performed. Measurement items are Temperature, Humidity, $CO_2$, CO, $NO_2$, $CH_2O$, VOC, $PM_{10}$ and measurement were taken on April 27, 2018. As a result of analyzing the temperature and humidity of the dental clinic, it was analyzed that the average indoor temperature was maintained at $25^{\circ}C$ and the humidity was kept at around 50%, maintaining proper indoor temperature and humidity environment. $CO_2$ was 855ppm in the VIP Room, which satisfied the maintenance standard. In the case of the lobby, it was analyzed to be 1,160ppm, which exceeded the maintenance standard and it is judged that the carbon dioxide generated by the respiration of the people staying in the lobby is the main reason. The mean concentration of formaldehyde in the VIP room was analyzed as $436{\mu}g/m^3$, exceeding the maintenance standard, and $2,100{\mu}g/m^3$ for the VOC exceeded the recommended standard. It was analyzed that the concentration was relatively higher due to the use of disinfectant and other drugs. The mean concentration of PM-10 in the lobby was analyzed as $65{\mu}g/m^3$ and it was analyzed that it satisfied the maintenance standard. To maintain a pleasant indoor air quality in a dental clinic it is necessary to minimize the effects of formaldehyde, VOC, $CO_2$ in the VIP rooms and lobby. For this purpose, the entire ventilation system and air purification system of the dental clinic should be installed. In case of the VIP room, local exhaust ventilation should be installed and workers should wear personal protective equipment.

G-SEED has been introduced with the aim of reducing energy use and resources since 2002, as the system of certificating environmental friendliness of buildings to create comfortable environment. This study analyzed the changes of certification standard of G-SEED since the revision in 2016, comparing certification results of office buildings by grade, category and certification items between G-SEED 2013-2 version and revised version of 2016. Also, this study analyzed the average points and their standard deviation of certification items including both deleted items and newly added items and extracted items needed to be reviewed in the future revision. In the revision, G-SEED has been extended its certification system to involve existing buildings and Innovative Design categories newly introduced with revising the certification items and difficulties. In revised version of G-SEED, the certification grade appeared to change its acquisition ratio decreasing Green2 and increasing Green4, during Green1 and Green3 were similar in proportion. The average scores by categories appeared decrease in Energy and Environmental Pollution category and Materials and Resources category, on the other hand, Maintenance category appeared the highest increase in the average score. Otherwise, Land Use and Transportation, Water Circulation, Ecology, Indoor Environment categories appeared similar average scores both version of G-SEED. In addition, the Innovative Design which was newly introduced category, seems to expect gradual gaining high scores according to technology development in future, although its possession has shown lower scores in revised version.

The purpose of this study is to suggest the way how to improve the school green building certification system based on life cycle assessment methodology and to assess $LCCO_2$ in outline. Green Building Certification System for School is comprised of 7 categories and 39 items. 7 categories include Land use and Transport, Energy and Atmosphere, Materials and Resources, Water, Management, Ecology, Indoor environmental quality. School is a public facility for students. So Green Building Certification System for School must have educational point of view adding to energy saving, reduction of greenhouse gas emission, etc. Also it needs to be classified into three categories ; kindergarten, elementar/middl/high school and university. Improvement plans for items are as follows ; energy consumption and $LCCO_2$ assessment considering life cycle, deletion or integration of duplicate items by comparing other systems, application of passive solar systems, consideration of the law and standards change, and selection of items considering specific building use.
The indoor air quality is one of the most important issues of designing ventilation in high rise apartment buildings. This study suggested proper ventilation rate in the apartment bedroom where mechanical ventilation system has installed. Six university students(four male and two female) were participating in the experiment. Experiments were performed in environmental chamber. Experimental conditions were combinations from three ventilation rate 0, 0.4 and 0.7. Measurement items during 8 hours of experimental time were temperature, humidity, carbon dioxide concentrations and questionnaire surveyed aftrer sleeping. The concentration of Carbon Dioxide depending on ventilation rate in the chamber was analyzed for proper ventilation rate. The results of this paper can be summarized as follows. (1) When two persons experiment, 0.7 ventilation rate was in excess of 1000ppm. (2) When one person experiment, 0.7 and 0.4 ventilation rates were satisfied the criteria of IAQ. (3) It compared 0.4 with 0.7 in the ventilation rate, 0.4 ventilation rate could reduced about 80% of the power by fan similarity law.

Living environments in rural area have become deteriorated rapidly. Increase of aging population, decline in agricultural income, polarization of wealth in rural community due to rural returners have caused severe decline and imbalance of living environments in rural area. Responding to this circumstances, governments currently develop projects for improving living environments focusing on individual housing which were excluded from governmental supports because those had been regarded as private property. Nevertheless, there are still some gaps and problems in evaluating the quality of living environment and suggesting effective solutions. It would be because standards and guidelines of the projects have been based on urban housing system. In order to support the implementation of the projects, this research has developed an index for evaluating and monitoring the quality of living environments in rural area. By applying Delphi method, the index has been created in four categories of 'security', 'convenience', 'comfortability', and 'durability' 'Security' consists of structural safety, crime, disaster, accident prevention. 'Convenience' includes three divisions of living, traffic, farm working. 'Comfortability' is divided into sanitation, indoor environments, and aesthetic appreciation. Lastly, 'durability' has four divisions of energy conservation, environmental friendliness, efficiency, and economics. Each sub-division also has different items from three to twelves. In the case of an index for performance evaluation, items have been derived from energy conservation(6-items), and environmental friendliness(7-items). Items developed as an index for evaluating rural living environments in this research might be good background information for remodeling project in rural housing development.

The purpose of this study is to verify the validity of items and to obtain basic information for spread of Korea Green Building Certification Criteria(KGBCC) by comparing items and school cases of KGBCC with those of LEED 2.1. LEED 2.1 is concentrating on 'Energy' and 'Indoor Air Quality' and KGBCC is relatively showing even distribution. And LEED 2.1 is not evaluate 'Ecology' that is important to us. And school cases of KGBCC and LEED 2.1 obtained similar scores by field or those of KGBCC obtained more scores. Domestic buildings need to ontain certification by KGBCC considering domestic situation. Also we need to lead activating of KGBCC through incentive programs.

Background: Indoor air pollutants are caused by a number of factors, such as coming in from the outside or being generated by internal activities. Typical indoor air pollutants include nitrogen dioxide and carbon monoxide from household items such as heating appliances and volatile organic compounds from building materials. In addition there is carbon dioxide from human breathing and bacteria from speaking, coughing, and sneezing. Objectives: According to recent research results, most indoor air pollution is known to be greatly affected by internal factors such as burning (biomass for cooking) and various pollutants. These pollutants can have a fatal effect on the human body due to a lack of ventilation facilities. Methods: We fabricated a polydopamine (PDA) layer with Ti substrates as a coating on supported glass fiber fabric to enhance its photo-activity. The PDA layer with TiO2 was covalently attached to glass fiber fabric using the drop-casting method. The roughness and functional groups of the surface of the Ti substrate/PDA coated glass fiber fabric were verified through infrared imaging microscopy and field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM). The obtained hybrid Ti substrate/PDA coated glass fiber fabric was investigated for photocatalytic activity by the removal of ammonia and an epidermal Staphylococcus aureus reduction test with lamp (250 nm, 405 nm wavelength) at 24℃. Results: Antibacterial properties were found to reduce epidermal staphylococcus aureus in the Ti substrate/PDA coated glass fiber fabric under 405 nm after three hours. In addition, the Ti substrate/PDA coated glass fiber fabric of VOC reduction rate for ammonia was 50% under 405 nm after 30 min. Conclusions: An electron-hole pair due to photoexcitation is generated in the PDA layer and transferred to the conduction band of TiO2. This generates a superoxide radical that degrades ammonia and removes epidermal Staphylococcus aureus.

The purpose of this study is to develop a fluidity-improved refilling material that satisfies smooth construction and long-term durability in a low-temperature environment using special materials and field soil as a refilling material to develop technology for high-speed installation of long-term non-traditional pipelines on poor ground containing a large amount of organic soil in a low-temperature environment. To this end, a special cement material was developed, and an indoor test was conducted to determine the construction performance and durability of the fluidity improved refilling material mixed with the developed special material and field soil to meet the quality standards for field construction. The construction quality standard items of fluidity improved refill materials were set to meet the CLSM (ACI 229R-13) standard suggested by the American ACI (America Concrete Institute). In addition, in order to understand the applicability in a low-temperature environment, the test was performed with the same items at low temperature and compared with the indoor test results at room temperature.

Recently, the importance of improving air quality has been greatly highlighted due to environmental problems such as indoor air pollution, and efforts are being made to improve indoor air quality not only in Korea but also around the world. In this situation, this study aims to study the physical properties of cement boards using pearlite with excellent physical adsorption performance due to micropores in materials, expanded graphite that is widely used as a flame retardant to prevent heat transfer in the event of a fire. The experimental items are bending fracture load and impact resistance. The bending destruction load at the fiber mixing rates 1, 2, 3, and 4 (%) did not meet the standard 140N, but the bending destruction load at 5% was 168.2N, and the impact resistance of the fiber mixing rates 1 and 2 (%) could not be measured due to cracks and damage, and the impact resistance at 3, 4, and 5 (%).
