Ordered array of gold nanoparticles (Au NPs) over ITO glass was investigated in terms of ITO pretreatment, particle size, and diamines with different chain length. Owing to the indium-tin-oxide (ITO) layer coated on the glass, the substrate surface has a limited number of hydroxyl groups which can produce functionalized amine groups for Au binding, which resulted in the loosely-packed array of Au NPs on the ITO surface. Diamine ligand as a molecular linker was introduced to enhance the lateral binding of adjacent Au NPs immobilized on the amine-functionalized ITO glass, consequently leading to the densely-packed array of Au NPs over the ITO substrate. The molecular bridging effect was strengthened with the increase of chain length of diamines: C-12 > C-8. The packing density of small Au NPs (< 40 nm) was significantly increased with the increase of C-8 diamine, but large Au NPs (> 60 nm) did not produce densely-packed array on the ITO glass even for the dosage of C-12 diamine.
Indium tin oxide (ITO) films were deposited on polycarbonate CR39 substrate using DC magnetron sputtering. ITO thin films were deposited at room temperature because glass-transition temperature of CR39 substrate is $130^{circ}C$ ITO thin films are used as bottom and top electrodes and for organic thin film transparent transistor (OTFT). The electrodes electrical properties of ITO thin films and their optical transparency properties in the visible wavelength range (300-800 nm) strongly depend on the volume of oxygen percent. The optimum resistivity and transparency of ITO thin film electrode was achieved with a 75 W plasma power, 10 % volume of oxygen and a 27 nm/min deposition rate. Above 85% transparency in the visible wavelength range (300-800 nm) was measured without post annealing process, and resistivity as low as $9.83{\times}^{TM}10^{-4}{\Omega}$ cm was measured at thickness of 300 nm.
Indium-Tin Oxide (ITO) thin films were deposited on the commercial glass substrate by rf-magnetron sputtering. The ITO films with the thickness of 2,000~2,400 $\AA$ were prepared by changing the oxygen partial pressures of 2, 3, and 5%, as well as by changing the substrate temperature of $300^{\circ}C$ and $500^{\circ}C$. spectrophotometer, XRD, SEM, AFM, 4-point probe and Hall effect system were employed to characterize the ITO films. The optimum deposition conditions were the substrate temperature of $500^{\circ}C$ and oxygen partial pressure of 2-3%. At theses conditions, the ITO film showed the transmittance of 91%, the resistivity of $5.4\times10^{-3}\Omega$cm, the carrier concentration of $1.0\times10^{19}\textrm{cm}^{-3}$, and the carrier mobility of 150$\textrm{cm}^2$/Vsec. In XRD spectra, the (222) and (400) $In_2O_3$ planes were dominant under the optimum deposition conditions When the substrate was cleaned only by the method of ultrasonic cleaning without both pre-annealing and chemical treatment of the substrate, the ITO film exhibited the transmittance of 86%, the carrier concentration of $5.4\times10^{19}\textrm{cm}^{-3}$ and the mobility of 24$\textrm{cm}^2$/Vsec.

A Q-switched diode-pumped neodymium-doped yttrium vanadate (YVO4, λ =1064nm) laser was used for the direct patterning of indium tin oxide (ITO) films on glass substrate. During the laser direct patterning, the laser beam was incident on the two different directions of glass substrate and the laser ablated patterns were compared and analyzed. At a low scanning speed of laser beam, the larger laser etched lines were obtained by laser beam incident in reverse side of glass substrate. On the contrary, at a higher scanning speed, the larger etched pattern sizes were found in case of the beam incidence from front side of glass substrate. Furthermore, it was impossible to find no ablated patterns in some laser beam conditions for the laser beam from reverse side at a much higher scanning speed and repetition rate of laser beam. The laser beam is expected to be transferred and scattered through the glass substrate and the laser beam energy is thought to be also dispersed and much more influenced by the overlapping of each laser beam spot.
Recently, research on a flat panel display(FPD) has focused on organic light-emitting display(OLED) which has wide angle of view, high contrast ratio and low power consumption. ITO(Indium-Tin-Oxide) films are the most widely used material as a transparent electrode of OLED and also in many other display devices like LCD or PDP. The performance and efficiency of OLED is related to the surface condition of ITO coated glass substrate. The typical surface defect of glass substrate is measured for electric characteristics and physical condition for transmittance and roughness. Since ITO coated glass substrate can be destroyed for inspection about surface roughness, sheet resistance, film thickness and transmittance, precise fabrication condition should be made based on the estimated relationship. In this paper, ITO films were prepared on the commercial glass substrate by the Ion-Plating method changing the partial pressure of gas(Ar, 02) and the chamber temperature between $200^{\circ}C$ and $300^{\circ}C$. The characteristics of films were examined by the 4-point probe, supersonic thickness measurement, transmittance measurement and AFM. We estimated the relationship between processing parameters(Ar gas, O2 gas, Temperature) and properties of ITO films (Sheet Resistance, Film Thickness, Transmittance, Surface Roughness).
BST(70/30) and BST(50/50) thin films were prepared by Sol-Gel method and studied about the microstructural and dielectric properties with Pt and ITO bottom electrodes. The stock solution was synthesized and spin coated on the Pt/Ti$SiO_2$/Si and Indium Tin Oxide(ITO)/ glass substrate. the coated films were dries at 350$^{\circ}C$ for 10 minutes and annealed at $750^{\circ}C$ for 1 hour for the crystallization. The thin films coated on ITO substrate were crystallized easily and the packing density and roughness of surface were better that those of films coated on Pt substrates. In the BST(50/50) composition the structural properties were similar to the BST(70/30) composition and grain size were decreased with increasing the contents of Sr. The dielectric constant was higher in the BST(50/50) composition compared with the BST(70/30) composition. Using the ITO substrate, the dielectric constant was higher than the Pt substrate while the dielectric loss was showed a reverse trend. The dielectric constant with and increase of temperature was decreased slowly.

At an infra-red (IR) wavelength of 1,064 nm, a diode-pumped Q-switched $Nd:YVO_4$ laser was used for the direct patterning of various transparent conductive oxide (TCO) thin films on glass substrate. With various laser beam conditions, the laser ablation results showed that the indium tin oxide (ITO) film was removed completely. In contrast, zinc oxide (ZnO) film was not etched for any laser beam conditions and indium gallium zinc oxide (IGZO) was only ablated with a low scanning speed. The difference in laser ablation is thought to be due to the crystal structures and the coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) of ITO, IGZO, and ZnO. The width of the laser-patterned grooves was dependent on the film materials, the repetition rate, and the scanning speed of the laser beam.
In this study, we investigate the photovoltaic performance of transparent conductive indium tin oxide (ITO), titanium-doped indium oxide (ITiO), and fluorine-doped tin oxide (FTO) films. ITO and ITiO films are prepared by radio frequency magnetron sputtering on soda-lime glass substrate at $300^{\circ}C$, and the FTO film used is a commercial product. We measure the X-ray diffraction patterns, AFM micrographs, transmittance, sheet resistances after heat treatment, and transparent conductive characteristics of each film. The value of electrical resistivity and optical transmittance of the ITiO films was $4.15{\times}10^{-4}\;{\Omega}-cm$. The near-infrared ray transmittance of ITiO is the highest for wavelengths over 1,000 nm, which can increase dye sensitization compared to ITO and FTO. The photoconversion efficiency (${\eta}$) of the dye-sensitized solar cell (DSC) sample using ITiO was 5.64%, whereas it was 2.73% and 6.47% for DSC samples with ITO and FTO, respectively, both at 100 mW/$cm^2$ light intensity.
