  • The micro grid considered in this paper consists of a diesel generator, a photovoltaic array, a wind turbine, a fuel cell, and a energy storage system. This paper explains and simulates the micro grid components in terms of accuracy and efficiency of having a system model based on the costs of fuel as well as operation and maintenance. For operational efficiency, the objective function in a diesel generator consists of the fuel cost function similar to the cost functions used for the conventional fossil-fuel generating plants. The wind turbine generator is modeled by the characteristics of variable output. The optimization is aimed at minimizing the cost function of the system while constraining it to meet the customer demand and safety of micro grid. The operating cost in fuel-cell system includes the fuel costs and the efficiency for fuel to generate electric power. To develop the overall system model gives a possibility to minimize of the total cost of micro grid. The application of optimal operation can save the interruption costs as well as the operating costs, and improve reliability index in micro grid.

  • 대부분의 시공간 데이타베이스 연구들은 색인 분야에서 진행되었다. 그러나, 색인 연구들은 시공간 색인 유지를 위해서 필요한 엄청난 오버헤드의 고려 없이, 색인 생성 후의 빠른 질의 처리에 초점이 맞추어져 있다. 이 논문에서, 우리는 이동체들의 갱신들을 시공간 색인에 반영하기 위해서 필요한 디스크 액세스 수를 줄이는 효율적인 갱신 관리 방법을 제안한다. 객체의 움직임을 잘 표현할 수 있는 현실적인 갱신 패턴을 고려하여 자주 갱신되는 소수의 객체들을 유지할 수 있는 메모리 구조를 제안한다. 실질적인 갱신 패턴을 고려한 실험 환경에서, 우리의 방법은 기존 색인들의 일반적인 갱신 방법보다 약 40%의 디스크 액세스 수를 줄인다.

  • Safety diagnosis of various structural components and facilities is indispensable for preventing catastrophic failure of material by time-dependent and environment accelerating degradation. Also, this diagnosis of operating components should be done periodically for safe maintenance and economical repair. However, conventional standard methods for mechanical properties have the problems of bulky specimen, destructive procedure and complex procedure of specimen sampling. So, a non-destructive and simple mechanical testing method using small specimen is needed. Therefore, an advanced indentation technique was developed as a potential method for non-destructive testing of in-field structures. This technique measures indentation load-depth curve during indentation and analyzes the mechanical properties related to deformation such as yield strength, tensile strength and work-hardening index. In this paper, we characterized the tensile properties including yield and tensile strengths of the V-modified Cr-Mo steels in petro-chemical and thermo-electrical plants. And also, the effects of hydrogen-assisted degradation of the V-modified Cr-Mo steels were analyzed in terms of work-hardening index and yield ratio.

Kano-QFD 통합모형에서의 고객 요구속성 중요도 산정 (Derivation of Weights for Customer Requirements Attribute in Kano-QFD Integration Model)

  • Recently, companies are trying to gain a competitive advantage in the market to meet the voice of customer. For this purpose, QFD has been used as product development technology in many areas to include the customer' requirements. Also, Kano model has been used to understand the customer' requirements for an effective way. Therefore integration of Kano model and QFD can more efficiently reflect the customer' requirements when designing a new service. This paper proposes PI index by taking into account the current satisfaction position of our company and competitors while IR (Improvement Ratio) value was set uniformity. This study suggests a more accurate index to predict potential improvements and calculates the final importance or priority. Through case studies targeted at elevator maintenance companies, we can have a general idea how much to improve in the near future and estimate the final importance of customer requirements.

A new index based on short time fourier transform for damage detection in bridge piers

  • Research on damage detection methods in structures began a few decades ago with the introduction of methods based on structural vibration frequencies, which, of course, continues to this day. The value of important structures, on the one hand, and the countless maintenance costs on the other hand, have led researchers to always try to identify more accurate methods to diagnose damage to structures in the early stages. Among these, one of the most important and widely used methods in damage detection is the use of time-frequency representations. By using time-frequency representations, it is possible to process signals simultaneously in the time and frequency domains. In this research, the Short-Time Fourier transform, a known time-frequency function, has been used to process signals and identify the system. Besides, a new damage index has been introduced to identify damages in concrete piers of bridges. The proposed method has relatively simple calculations. To evaluate the method, the finite element model of an existing concrete bridge was created using as-built details. Based on the results, the method identifies the damages with high accuracy.

구강보건지수에 영향을 미치는 구강건강인지 및 행태 (Oral health awareness and behavior affecting oral health indexes)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study was to examine whether the subjective oral health awareness and oral health behavior of Korean adults would affect their oral health indexes. It's meant to utilize existing data of epidemiological and alternative indexes in an effort to have a comprehensive and understanding of the relationship between the subjective oral health awareness and oral health behavior of Korean adults. And the following findings were obtained Methods : The subjects in this study were 7,285 adults who were selected from the third-year(2009) raw data of the fourth national health & nutrition survey. Results : As for the relationship between oral health awareness and oral health indexes, there were statistically significant differences in DMFT index, FS-T index, T-health index and CPI index according to self-rated health status, self-rated oral health state, necessity of dental treatment and oral health concern. Concerning the relationship between oral health behavior and the oral health indexes, whether they got a dental checkup over the past year, daily toothbrushing frequency, use or nonuse of oral health supplies and mastication problems made statistically significant differences to DMFT index, FS-T index, T-health index and CPI index. The variables that had a significant impact on oral health were selected from among the variables of oral health awareness and oral health behavior that affected oral health, and the variables were selected as independent variables. And then the oral health indexes were selected as dependent variables, and a multiple regression analysis was carried out by using the selected independent and dependent variables. As a results, it's found that the variables made a 22.4% prediction of DMFT index; 51.3% for FS-T index; 52.0% for T-health index; 47.4% for CPI index. Conclusions : The above-mentioned findings illustrated that the relationship between the subjective oral health awareness and oral health behavior of the Korean adults exercised an influence on their oral health indexes. Accurate and effective oral health plans should be mapped out by grasping the oral health status of adults from diverse angles to facilitate the maintenance and promotion of their oral health status.

PSSC 합성거더 교량의 비선형 거동 분석 및 신뢰도 해석 (Analysis of Nonlinear Behavior and Reliability of PSSC Composite Girder Bridge)

  • 프리스트레스하중이 작용되는 강합성교인 PSSC 교량에서 프리스트레스의 효과와 단면의 변형에 따른 텐돈의 변형의 영향을 밝히기 위해 사하중 및 활하중이 작용될 때 합성전 후에 발생하는 부재내의 변형도 및 응력변화와 허용응력 한계상태, 항복응력 한계상태 및 강도한계상태의 단면력과 부재내의 변형도 및 응력변화를 구한다. 또한 거더의 처짐 및 응력과 휨강도를 변수로 하는 한계상태들을 가정하고 이에 대한 신뢰도 분석을 수행한다. 허용응력에 맞추어 설계한 예제 단면의 응력에 대한 신뢰도 지수가 0 부근임에 비하여, 처짐 및 휨강도에 대한 신뢰도 지수는 높은 값을 주고 있어서 도로교설계기준의 허용응력에 대하여 설계한 PSSC 거더는 처짐 및 휨강도에 대하여 높은 신뢰도를 얻을 수 있음을 알 수 있다.

부분안전계수를 이용한 감육배관의 신뢰도 기반 건전성 평가 (Reliability-Based Structural Integrity Assessment of Wall-Thinned Pipes Using Partial Safety Factor)

  • Recently, probabilistic assessments of nuclear power plant components have generated interest in the nuclear industries, either for the efficient inspection and maintenance of older nuclear plants or for improving the safety and cost-effective design of newly constructed nuclear plants. In the present paper, the partial safety factor (PSF) of wall-thinned nuclear piping is evaluated based on a reliability index method, from which the effect of each statistical variable (assessment parameter) on a certain target probability is evaluated. In order to calculate the PSF of a wall-thinned pipe, a limit state function based on the load and resistance factor design (LRFD) concept is first constructed. As for the reliability assessment method, both the advanced first-order second moment (AFOSM) method and second-order reliability method (SORM) are employed to determine the PSF of each probabilistic variable. The present results can be used for developing maintenance strategies considering the priorities of input variables for structural integrity assessments of wall-thinned piping, and this PSF concept can also be applied to the optimal design of the components of newly constructed plants considering the target reliability levels.

해양 콘크리트 구조물에 대한 Level II 수준에서의 염소이온침투 신뢰성 해석 (Reliability Analysis of Chloride Ion Penetration based on Level II Method for Marine Concrete Structure)

  • 콘크리트 구조물의 내구성 해석 변수들의 변동성과 불확실성으로 인해 확률론적인 접근법의 사용이 증가되어 왔다. 특히, 몬테칼로시뮬레이션 방법(Level III 방법)은 접근성의 용이함으로 인해 많은 내구신뢰성 해석에 사용되어왔지만, 결과를 얻기위해서는 수 십만번의 반복계산이 필요하다. Level II 수준의 신뢰성 해석법인 일계이차모멘트법(FOSM)은 MCS법과 비교할 수 없을 정도의 짧은 시간에 신뢰도지수나 파괴확률을 계산할 수 있어, 유효성만 검증된다면 편리성과 신속성으로 인해 폭넓은 사용이 가능할 것이다. 본 연구에서는 FOSM법과 MCS법에 의한 부식확률(내구성 파괴확률)을 서로 비교하여 FOSM법의 유효성을 검증하고 각 내구성 해석변수들의 변동성이 부식확률에 미치는 영향을 검토하였다.

PSSC 합성거더 교량의 프리스트레스 효과 및 신뢰도 해석 (Analysis of Prestress Effect and Reliability of PSSC Composite Girder Bridge)

  • 프리스트레스하중이 작용되는 강합성교인 PSSC 교량에서 프리스트레스의 효과와 단면의 변형에 따른 텐던의 변형의 영향을 밝히기 위해 교량지간 25m~45m의 최적화된 표준단면에 대해 고정하중 및 활하중이 작용될 때 합성전 후에 발생하는 부재내의 변형도 및 응력변화와 허용응력 한계상태, 항복응력 한계상태 및 강도한계상태의 단면력과 부재내의 변형도 및 응력변화를 구한다. 또한 거더의 처짐 및 응력과 휨강도를 변수로 하는 한계상태들을 가정하고 이에 대한 신뢰도 분석을 수행하였다. 표준 PSSC 교량의 경우 하중 및 저항계수를 적용하여 설계하는 미국 설계기준의 목표신뢰도지수 값이 3.5 임과 비교하면, 허용응력을 기준으로 설계한 단면은 강도에 대하여 상당히 높은 수준의 신뢰도지수를 보임을 알 수 있다.
