Fuzzy c-means method is typical soft clustering, and requires a degree of membership that indicates the degree of belonging to each cluster at the time of clustering. Parameter values greater than 1 and less than 2 have been used by convention. According to the proposed data-generation scheme and the simulation results, some behaviors in the degree of "fuzziness" was derived.
This study was performed to evaluate the fracture resistance of three improved die stone materials according to water/powder ratio. There are lots of handling conditions which affect the physical properties of improved dental stone, and it's well known that the water/powder ratio significantly affect the strength of die stone. If water/power ratio was incorrect, following disadvantages were showed : (1) susceptibility to dimensional change due to abrasion, (2) limited reproduction of fine detail, (3) lack of strength. The maxillary master casts were made of additional silicone impressions(Exaflex, GC America. Inc. USA). Three type IV die stones such as Fuji Rock (GC Europe Intreleuvenlaan, Leuven, Belgium), Velmix(Kerr, Manufacturing company, USA), and Crytal Rock( Maruishi Gypsum Co. Ltd, Japan) were tested. A total of 160 casts were prepared, separated, and tested on the Instron Testing Machine(Model 4201, Co. USA). The obtained results of this study were as follows : 1. Fuji Reck and Velmix less 3ml than the water/power ratio of manufacturer's instruction showed the highest resistance to fracture. According to increasing water/powder ratio, fracture resistance was significantly increased(P<0.05). Crystal Rock showed the highest fracture value when it was mixed with the water/power ratio of manufacturer's instruction. 2. Water/powder ratio of the manufacturer's instructions and less 3ml than that showed lower fracture value of hand mix than that of vacuum mix. Water/powder ratio of more 3ml, 6ml than manufacturer's instructions was not significantly different between hand mix and vacuum mix(p>0.05). 3. Velmix had the highest viscoelastic value among three die materials when it was mixed with the manufacturer's instruction. Viscoelasticity was decreased according to increasing water/powder ratio.
Objectives : This study was to investigate into company workers' oral scaling related factors and enhance a rate of oral scaling. Methods : From August 2010, self-administered questionnaires of the about general question items, oral health relation factors, knowledge of periodontal disease for oral scaling performed, in 267 people worker objects. Among those prevention the case which enforces with a goal periodically 6 month period 7.3% and the period of 1 years is 28.8%, be most inconvenient is cold(50.7%), with motive is dentistry visits inducement for tooth therapy which 51.2%, Non experience in oral scaling was responded by 62 people(23.2%), 45.2% of whom answered they had no necessity for such treatment. Second, Knowledge of periodontal disease is 'dental calculus and stain loses toothbrush quality did eagerly' incorrect one right answer ratio is highest with 86.5%, 'Becoming the adult being made to draw out tooth is periodontitis than decay' was incorrect one right answer rate was lowest with 62.9%. Third, The workers' sex, service field, one month average income, Currently the oral inconvenient presence, oral health Interest degree, tooth brushing method, knowledge of periodontitis have a significant effect on their oral scaling experience. Conclusions : When seeing with result of above, it is necessary of the oral scaling widely with the method which is various includes a mass communication by causing the changes in the perception of oral scaling. The dental hygienist is inconvenience from oral scaling experience have interest when is possible the patient comfortably, in order could be operated, endeavors demanded.
Stratum-specific likelihood ratio, which is ratio of the sensitivity to 1-the specificity in each stratum of the test, could be biased if the sensitivity and specificity of diagnostic test are affected by verification bias. Therefore, the optimal cutoff point determined by biased stratum-specific likelihood ratios is incorrect. In this study, we derived adjusted stratum-specific likelihood ratios using the adjusted sensitivity and specificity, and obtained the adjusted optimal cutoff point. The influence of the verification bias on the optimal cutoff point was described through the relation between adjusted and unadjusted stratum-specific likelihood ratios.
The study on the performance of the nonlinear friction tuned mass dampers (FTMD) for the mitigation of the seismic responses of the structures is a topic that still inspires the efforts of researchers. The present paper aims to carry out a numerical study on the optimum tuning of TMD and FTMD parameters using a multi-objective particle swarm optimization (MOPSO) algorithm including soil-structure interaction (SSI) effects for seismic applications. Considering a 3-story structure, the performances of the optimized TMD and FTMD are compared with the uncontrolled structure for three types of soils and the fixed base state. The simulation results indicate that, unlike TMDs, optimum tuning of FTMD parameters for a large preselected mass ratio may not provide a best and optimum design. For low mass ratios, optimal selection of friction coefficient has an important key to enhance the performance of FTMDs. Consequently, a free parameter search of all FTMD parameters provides a better performance in comparison with considering a preselected mass ratio for FTMD in the optimum design stage of the FTMD. Furthermore, the SSI significant effects on the optimum design of the TMD and FTMD. The simulation results also show that the FTMD provides a better performance in reducing the maximum top floor displacement and acceleration of the building in different soil types. Moreover, the performance of the TMD and FTMD decrease with increasing soil softness, so that ignoring the SSI effects in the design process may give an incorrect and unrealistic estimation of their performance.

In ubiquitous computing environment the biological signal ECG (Electrocardiogram signal) is usually recorded with noise components. Adaptive interference (or noise) canceller do adaptive filtering of the noise reference input to maximally match and subtract out noise or interference from the primary (signal plus noise) input thereby adaptively eliminate unwanted interference from the ECG signal. Measured Stress ECG (or exercise ECG signal) signal have three major noisy component like baseline wander noise, motion artifact noise and EMG (Electro-mayo-cardiogram) noise. These noises are not only distorted signal but also root of incorrect diagnosis while ECG data are analyzed. Motion artifact and EMG noises behave like wide band spectrum signals, and they considerably do overlapping with the ECG spectrum. Here the multidimensional adaptive method used for filtering which is more effective to improve signal to noise ratio.
Ocular region recently emerged as a new biometric trait for overcoming the limitations of iris recognition performance at the situation that cannot expect high user cooperation, because the acquisition of an ocular image does not require high user cooperation and close capture unlike an iris image. This study proposes a new method for ocular image recognition based on BRISK (binary robust invariant scalable keypoints). It uses the distance ratio of the two nearest neighbors to improve the accuracy of the detection of corresponding keypoint pairs, and it also uses geometric constraint for eliminating incorrect keypoint pairs. Experiments for evaluating the validity the proposed method were performed on MMU public database. The person recognition rate on left and right ocular image datasets showed 91.1% and 90.6% respectively. The performance represents about 5% higher accuracy than the SIFT-based method which has been widely used in a biometric field.

A neutral particle beam(NPB) aimed at the object and receive a small number of neutron signals at the detector to estimate the mass of an object Since there is uncertainty about the location of the axis of the beam relative to the object, we could have aiming errors which may lead to incorrect information about the object. Under the two assumptions that neutral particle scattering distribution and aiming errors have a circular normal distribution respectively, we have derived an exact probability distribution of neutral particles. It becomes a Poison-power function distribution., We proved monotone likelihood ratio property of tlis distribution. This property can be used to find a criteria for the hypothesis testing problem.

The prevalence of obesity is continuing to increase. Self-perceived body image among women has drawn a lot of attention in Korea due to unhealthy weight control trials. This study was conducted to determine the relationship between self-perceived body image and dietary intakes among Korean women. For the analysis, 1,747 subjects were selected after eliminating those who were likely to have recently altered their diet based on the 2010 Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES) data. The subjects were divided into three groups: underweight, normal, and obese groups according to their perception of body image. Daily nutrient intakes, NAR (Nutrient Adequacy Ratio), and food intake frequency were assessed according to age group and body image perception. Only energy intake showed differences among the three body image perception groups across all age groups, but not statistical differences. Analysis of NAR and the order of most frequently consumed food items confirmed these findings. The ratio of underweight women that perceived their body size as normal or overweight was higher with younger age. Incorrect body image perception and unhealthy weight control behaviors can cause nutritional problems. This study confirmed that nutritional knowledge is important for healthy weight control trials. Nutritional education for healthy dieting should be emphasized among Korean women.
The formation of adiabatic shearband in tungsten heavy alloys(WHA) was studied in this investigation. Five prismatic specimens were loaded by high velocity impacts and treated as plane strain problems. To find out the effect of particle's volume ratio, specimens containing 81%, 93% and 97% volume percents of tungsten particles were used. Also the effects of particle's geometry and size on the formation of shearband were studied for 81% volume percent alloys by small size particle model, large size particle model and undulated particle models, and the results were discussed.be used to diagnose the causes of necking and fracture in industrial practice and to investigate whether these defects were caused by material property variation, changes in lubrication, or incorrect press settings. In non-axisymmetric deep drawing, three modes of forming regimes are found: draw, stretch, plane strain. The stretch mode for non-axisymmetric deep drawing could be defined when the major and minor strains are positive. The draw mode could be defined when the major strain is positive and minor strain is negative, and plane strain mode could be defined when the major strain is positive and minor strain is zero. Through experiments the draw mode was shown on the wall and flange are one of a drawn cup, while the plane strain and the stretch mode were on the punch head and the punch corner area respectively, We observed that the punch load of elliptical deep drawing was decreased according to increase of die corner radius and the thickness deformation of minor side was more large than major side.
