본 연구에서는 신체의 불편함을 가진 사람들의 사회참여를 제고시키기 위해 '공간적 포용성'여 장애와 공간적 포용성이 사회참여에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 규명하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 거주하는 지역의 사회·공간적 환경은 신체적 제약으로 인해 활동반경이 좁고 복합적인 장벽에 직면하는 장애인에게 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 지역사회 내에서 장애인들이 비장애인들과 동등하게 관계를 형성하고 안전한 도시공간에서 기본적인 시설과 서비스로의 이용과 접근이 가능한 환경을 갖춘 것으로 장애인 관점의 공간적 포용성을 정의한다. 공간적 포용성은 개인의 관계망, 사회적 환경, 물리적 환경 등 세 가지 차원으로 구성되며, 물리적 환경은 거주 지역의 안전수준/자연환경/생활환경/대중교통 여건/의료서비스 여건 등을 포괄한다. 2019년 지역사회건강조사를 활용하여 장애 여부와 공간적 포용성에 따른 사회참여와의 관계를 2수준 다층회귀모형으로 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 개인 수준의 개인적 관계망과 지역 수준의 물리적 환경이 사회참여에 미치는 긍정적 영향을 확인하였다. 둘째, 물리적 환경을 5개 하위요인으로 파악하였을 때 개별요소의 유의한 영향 관계는 확인할 수 없었다. 셋째, 지역 수준에서 신뢰할 수 있고 친근한 사회적 환경은 사회참여에 부적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 이러한 분석 결과는 공간적 포용성이 장애인의 사회참여에 효과를 미치고 있음을 실증하고, 장애인의 사회참여 여건 마련 및 제고를 위한 도시계획 시사점을 제공한다.

본 연구는 심양 서탑 코리아타운의 장소성을 새롭게 규명하기 위하여 포용도시의 주요 담론을 토대로 행위자-연결망 이론에 기반한 도시 포용성의 개념적 구조를 확립하고, 이를 해당 공간에 적용하여 분석하였다. 사례 분석의 과정은 신중국 건국부터 현재까지의 시기를 서탑 코리아타운의 맹아기와 발전기로 나누어 주요 행위자를 추출하고, 이 지역의 변화를 대표하는 여섯 개의 시기별로 각각의 행위자-연결망의 네트워크 그래프를 작성하였다. 이를 통하여 해당 공간의 도시 표용성 변화 추이를 해석하고 포용도시의 실현가능성을 전망하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 서탑 코리아타운을 구성하는 행위자의 수와 종류는 한중 수교를 기점으로 빠르게 증가하였으며, 행위자-연결망 역시 도시 포용성의 전 지표에서 지속적으로 강화되었다. 둘째, 서탑 코리아타운의 특수성을 대표하는 조선족, 한국인, 현지인, 북한인 등의 주요 인간 행위자들의 행위성이 비약적으로 증진하였다. 셋째, 문화교류와 관련 정책 행위자가 성장하면서 이 지역의 행위자-연결망은 유래없는 도약을 성취하였다. 결론적으로, 심양 서탑 코리아타운의 도시 포용성은 지속적으로 상승하고 있으며, 이 지역의 도시 포용성을 더욱 향상시킬 잠재적 요인 또한 다수 관찰된다.

본 연구는 고령층의 사회적 배제와 이로 인한 삶의 질 저하를 극복하기 위해 '정주환경 포용성'을 개념화하고 이를 분석틀로 하여 고령자 정신건강에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 규명하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 주거지 인근 환경은 일상생활이 시작하는 장소이자 사회적 관계가 맺어지는 공간으로 생활 범위가 좁은 고령자에게 특히 중요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 고령자를 대상으로 하는 포용의 공간 범위를 주택을 구심점으로 하는 정주환경으로 삼았다. '정주환경 포용성'은 지역사회의 구성원으로서 통합의 기회를 제공하는 사회적 영역과 주택 내외의 환경에서 안전하게 생활하고 기본적인 서비스에 쉽게 접근할 수 있는 공간적 영역을 포괄하는 개념으로 상호의존, 참여, 안전성, 접근성의 네 가지 차원으로 구성하였다. 2017년도 노인실태조사를 활용하여 개인 및 정주환경의 속성이 고령자 우울 증상 수에 미치는 영향을 영과잉-음이항회귀모형으로 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 정주환경의 사회적 포용성에 해당하는 지역사회관계망과 사회활동 참여 수준이 우울감을 완화하는 효과가 유의하게 나타난다. 둘째, 정주환경의 공간적 포용성 요인 중 근린환경 만족도와 대중교통시설·구매시설에 대한 우수한 접근성은 우울감의 심화에 부의 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인된다. 셋째, 포용적 정주환경의 공간적 영역과 사회적 영역 사이의 상호조절효과가 유의한 것으로 나타난다. 즉 지역사회관계와 참여가 우울증상의 심화에 미치는 영향은 고령친화형 주택 및 안정적 점유에 의해 강화되는 것으로 분석된다. 분석 결과는 정주환경 포용성이 다면적일 뿐 아니라 복합적으로 고령자의 정신건강에 긍정적인 효과를 미치고 있음을 실증하며, 고령자의 심리적 안녕을 제고하기 위한 도시 계획 및 정책에 시사점을 제공한다.

This study investigated gender characteristics in contemporary virtual fashion design, focusing on avatars and genderless fashion in recent collections from Auroboros, Republiqe, Placebo Digital Fashion House, RTFKT, and Tribute. Employing content analysis within a theoretical framework of gender-related research, the study coded virtual avatars in terms of biological sex, appearance, and sociological perspectives. The results showed a preference for female-type avatars, through which androgynous aesthetics were embraced and traditional gender norms were challenged. Male-type avatars reflected experimentation with blending masculine elements, emphasizing inclusivity. Human-like avatars indicated a preference for designs that promoted inclusivity and, in the process, challenged binary classifications. The examined brands strategically capitalized on compromise, sensuality, and playfulness, thereby breaking away from traditional values to opt for more diverse styles. Genderless features combined elements from traditional men's and women's clothing, espousing sensuality and playful exaggeration. These findings signify a dynamic shift away from conventional gender standards to foster inclusivity and experimentation. They can serve as a reference for promoting creative strategies and design innovation, challenging the traditional gender perspective in the fashion industry. Implementing these strategies can lead to a more inclusive representation of fashion styles, encouraging critical thinking about gender norms.

In menu development, data-driven insights identify culinary trends, guiding chefs in crafting menus aligned with evolving tastes. It suggests inventive ingredient pairings, fostering innovation and inclusivity. AI-driven data analysis contributes to quality control, ensuring consistent taste and texture. Food writing and marketing benefit from ChatGPT's content generation, adapting to diverse strategies and consumer preferences. AI-powered chatbots revolutionize customer service, improving ordering experiences, and post-purchase engagement. In culinary education, ChatGPT acts as a virtual mentor, guiding learners through techniques and history. In food safety, data analysis prevents contamination and ensures compliance. Overall, ChatGPT reshapes the industry by uniting AI's analytics with culinary expertise, enhancing innovation, inclusivity, and efficiency in gastronomy.

E-learning is a planned effort towards providing interactive and experiential learning having flexibility in terms of time, place, pace, participation and accessibility. Globalization has set the stage for a social transformation of the world economy driven by technological innovation, emphasizing knowledge-based processes. While the tertiary education enrolments in wealthy nations have gone up incrementally, the same cannot be said to be right about developing economies. E-Learning can streamline enrolments to higher education, in developing nations by being a cost-effective and flexible alternative. The objective of this paper is to draw attention to the similarities in the national culture of these two countries and compare students' perception on e-learning in India and Sri Lanka along eight dimensions viz., viability, dependability, flexibility, inclusivity, power, pertinence, challenge and equitability. The results reveal that e-learning is equally popular among students from both countries, and they have a high perception score towards e-learning on each of the measured eight dimensions. Hence results are indicative of an opportunity of tapping the potential of e-learning in reaching out to a broader audience of underprivileged students and onboarding them into the knowledge economy.

This paper provides comments on Janus Nolasco's paper and the role that transnational or transpacific studies can play in overcoming the division between Philippine Studies (area studies) and Filipino-American scholarship. It draws attention to the fact that the crossing of localities and boundaries is always historically grounded and that the historical contexts in which Filipino diasporic communities are located vary one from another. It also considers the antecedents of more inclusive approaches to understanding the past and the present, and historical agency.

This study analyzes the characteristics of each element of neo-deconstructivist fashion design and examines fashion expression methods and techniques. This study combines theoretical research and case analysis to analyze the aesthetic characteristics of neo-deconstructivist fashion and the expressive characteristics of neo-deconstructivist fashion. Through analysis of previous research, the aesthetic characteristics of neo-deconstructivism were derived as inclusiveness, playfulness, communication, and intertextuality. Inclusivity in fashion refers to including various people, body types, aesthetics, and cultural backgrounds in the scope of design, and does not limit the scope of clothing design based on individual differences such as body type or gender. Playfulness is a neo-deconstructive fashion brand that combines exaggerated makeup, vibrant colors, intriguing designs, and imaginative fashion shows to spread upbeat and playful ideas. Communication in neo-deconstructivist fashion demonstrates communication through the use of creative themes and items that reflect consumers' needs through design and the consumer's fashion presentation method. Through the mutual quotation of aspects like traits, status, T.P.O., and materials that can reveal opposing texts, intertextuality emerged as a tendency to break up binary oppositions or break away from genres. The expressive qualities of neo-deconstructivist fashion design were examined and applied to the creation of innovative fashion design through examination of the case's silhouette, color, and material. Six sets of women's clothing were designed and produced. The results of this study can be used as basic data for the development of neo-deconstructivist fashion design, and are expected to provide a wide range of inspiration for fashion design ideas.

This study aimed to explore sustainable fashion design plans and directions by analyzing Marine Serre's collection. Previous research was reviewed to derive classifications of the aesthetic characteristics of sustainable fashion design. This classification was then used to analyze the characteristics of the Marine Serre collection. Design analysis was conducted on Marine Serre's 2018 FW to 2023 SS collections. Marine Serre's sustainability characteristics are functionality, surprise, handicraft, and inclusion. The results are as follows. First, functionality is the highest among the four characteristics and includes the functionality of movement, the functionality of form, and futurism. This characteristic was observed in the use of all-in-one body suits, pockets, and workwear, showing the will and values of designers who value daily activity. Second, surprise includes the scarcity of materials and the unexpectedness of composition. The value of the clothing is enhanced by the use of scarce materials not typically used in clothing. In addition, Marine Serre is highly regarded for expanding clothing into life by incorporating material upcycling into the theme of the collection. Third, handcrafted features include exaggerated decorations, logo, retro designs, and natural properties, and intentional utilization is differentiated. Marine Serre's signature pattern suggests a suitable expression for the fabric to use the crescent moon for the season. Fourth, the collection expresses themes of inclusivity and cultural diversity. The results indicate that Marine Serre wants to contribute to a better future characterized by global coexistence.

In the context of a globalized society where diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) have emerged as pivotal values, the fashion industry is undergoing scrutiny for its practices related to body DE&I. This study examines the nature of the discourse surrounding body DE&I within the fashion industry, focusing on how such discussions are shaped, disseminated, and manifested in both the industry and broader society. Critical discourse analysis is applied by utilizing, content from the New York Times and leveraging Fairclough's analytical framework encompassing textual, discursive, and social practices. The findings indicate that the New York Times emphasizes diversity, with a significant focus on the shapes and sizes of women's bodies, developing a narrative centered around women's bodies through visible and representative domains. The analysis suggests conflicted discourse, with prevailing critiques against the fashion industry's standardization of beauty and superficial inclusivity efforts. Moreover, the industry's adaptation to social demands for body DE&I is observed as sporadic, often leveraging non-normative bodies as a marketing strategy rather than genuinely embracing diversity. This study highlights the importance of continuous, in-depth discourse and social practices regarding DE&I within the fashion industry, as well as the need for systemic changes and policies that genuinely reflect societal demands for inclusivity. The findings provide a foundation for future investigations into the multifaceted relationship between fashion discourse, DE&I, and social practices, advocating for a more inclusive and critically aware fashion industry.
