Due to the environmental factors of the sea, ship accidents always contain an inclination angle. The change in the ship affects not only the evacuation speed of passengers but also the fire growth in the ship. For this reason, when analyzing the fire, it is necessary to analyze the risks by considering conditions of inclination. In this study, the temperature that affects the fire was calculated by alteration of ship's heel and trim angle and analyzed using FLUENT. Based on fire occurrence position, evacuation should be done within 37 seconds under the condition of $-10^{\circ}$ heeling angle and 36 seconds under the condition of $-10^{\circ}$ trim angle. However, it was predicted that the evacuation will not be affected under the conditions of $+10^{\circ}$ heel angle and $+10^{\circ}$ trim angle. For these reasons, it is confirmed that when the ship is on fire, evacuation measures should be considered based on the heel and trim conditions as per the location of the fire.

In this study reinforcing effect of soil nailed-drilled shafts subjected to axial and lateral loads were evaluated. Special attention was given to the reinforcing effects of soil nails placed from the drilled shafts to surrounding weathered- and soft-rocks based on model tests, numerical analyses and load tests. The model tests and numerical analyses are conducted to analyze the reinforcing effect of various conditions of number, inclination, position and length. The results of 1/40 scale model tests and numerical analyses show that as the number of reinforcing level increases, the incremental effect of reinforcement tends to increase, whereas the reinforcing effect on relative position is negligible. In addition there is a reinforcing effect as the inclination angle increaes up to 30 degrees. Based on the results of tensile load tests, soil nailed-drilled shafts has a considerably smaller settlement to reach the ultimate level when compared with the result of un-reinforced drilled shafts. For compression tests, there is a reinforcing effect of about 200% measured.

Various types of precision plastic thin films are used widely in high-performance displays, such as smartphones. For plastic thin-films manufactured by the Roll-to-Roll process, the film thickness must be measured and managed while moving. In the Roll-to-Roll process, wrinkles are generated when tension is applied to the film, which causes an inclination on the optical axis of the thickness gauge, resulting in a loss of accuracy. Therefore, this study attempted to develop an optical interference tomography measurement system. In this study, the tilt angle of the film was measured to correct the measurement value error in the thickness gauge caused by the tilt of the film. The system was constructed so that the laser was irradiated on the tilted film, and the laser reflected from the film was formed on the PSD. The relationship between the tilt angle of the film and the output value of the PSD was obtained experimentally. Using this, a device to measure the tilt angle of the film was constructed, and angle measurements were taken at a speed of 250,000Hz.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between the head and neck postre and the cervical curvature, especially in forward head postrue(FHP). Sixty patients with craniomandibular disorders and thirty dental students without any signs and symptoms of craniomandibular disordres participated in this study as patient groups and sa control group, respectively. The author evaluated the head and neck posture of all subjects by plumb line and CROM( Cervical Ragne of Motion), and had taken cephaograph in natural head position. On the cephalograph the angle of cervical inclination formed by true horizntal plane and 4th cervical vertebra(C4) and the radius of cervical curvature from C1 to C5 were measured. A specially designed ruler was used for measuring cervical curvature. Occlusal contac number and force with T-scan system, electromygraphic activity of cervical muscles with Bio-EMG, and distance of freeway space with Bio-ECN were recorded, respectively. The collected data were processed by SAS/STAT progrm. The obtained results were as follows : 1. In subjects with longer radius which was less cervical curvature, head positioned more anteriorly than subjects with smaller radius, and they showed slightly straight cervical vertebra. 2. Between the patients and the control group, there were no differences in cervical curvature, in forward head position by plumb line and in CROM. But the patient group had a greater cervical inclination than the control group had. 3. There were positive correlation between cervical curvature and forward head position by plumbline, between forward head position y plumb line and that by CROM in patient group. The cervical inclination, however, had negative correlation with cervical curvature, and with forward head postion by plumb line, respectively. 4. In case of showing more cervical curvature and more forward head position by plumb line the head position was defined as forward head posture. In patient group, subjects without forward head posture showed greater posterior teeth contact force than subjects with forward head posture, but in control group, there were no difference between the two subjects. 5. There were higher electromyographic activity in almost all muscles and smaller freeway space in induced forward head posture than those in natural head position in subjects without forward head posture. In conclusion, head position of patients with craniomandibular disorders were not more anterior than that of normal control person, but they had tendency to head extension. From the result of this study, forward head posture could be defined as posterior rotation of upper cervical segment with a straight lower cercial segment due to loss of normal lordosis.
In this study, the purpose is to present the foot inclination angle for realizing an image similar to that of the existing examination method and to present the clinical usefulness of the new examination method through comparison between the existing examination method and the newly designed standing foot oblique projection. A foot phantom was used, and the magnification of the image according to the angle was quantitatively evaluated by attaching a nut to the position of the cuboid of the phantom. The internal oblique image acquired using a 30° wedge was set as the standard image. And that image was compared with the images acquired by changing the angle of the foot from 20° to 65° at intervals of 5°. Image evaluation was performed by 3 radiological technologists, and qualitative evaluation using a Likert 5-point scale for evaluation items of true oblique view and quantitative evaluation of the value obtained by measuring the diameter of a nut in each image were performed as image evaluation. For data analysis, reliability analysis between the measure and comparative analysis of the average value for each angle were performed. The qualitative evaluation score for each image was 4.5 to 5 points for most questions in the case of the standard image. And 4 points or less for most questions in the images with a foot angle of 45° or less, and an evaluation score close to the standard image was obtained in the image of 50° or more. And in the quantitative evaluation, the diameter of the nut was measured to be 9.28~9.56 mm. The qualitative evaluation showed a reliability of 0.95~1.0 and the quantitative evaluation was 0.62. As a result of comparing and analyzing the average of the quantitative and qualitative average values for each angle image, the group with the average value most similar to the standard image was images obtained at 55° and 60°, and in the post-analysis, the images of both groups were the same group as the standard image(p<0.01). As a result of this study, it was found that the angle of inclination of the foot for realizing the image most similar to the existing image in the standing foot oblique projection is 55°~60°. In addition, if this test method is applied to the clinic, it is believed that it will help prevent safety accidents such as falls during the test and improve test efficiency by minimizing the movement of patients for the test.
The inertial migration of a two-dimensional elastic capsule in a channel flow was studied over the Reynolds number range $1{\leq}Re{\leq}100$. The lateral migration velocity, slip velocity, and the deformation and inclination angle of the capsule were investigated by varying the lateral position, Reynolds number, capsule-to-channel size ratio(${\lambda}$), membrane stretching coefficient(${\Phi}$), and membrane bending coefficient(${\gamma}$). During the initial transient motion, the lateral migration velocity increased with increasing Re and ${\lambda}$ but decreased with increases in ${\Phi}$, ${\gamma}$ and the lateral distance from the wall. The initial behavior of the capsule was influenced by variation in the initial lateral position ($y_0$), but the equilibrium position of the capsule was not affected by such variation. The balance between the wall effect and the shear gradient effect determined the equilibrium position. As Re increased, the equilibrium position initially shifted closer to the wall and then moved towards the channel center. A peak in the equilibrium position was observed near Re=30 for ${\gamma}=0.1$, and the peak shifted to higher Re as ${\gamma}$ increased. Depending on the lateral migration velocity, the equilibrium position moved toward the centerline for larger ${\gamma}$ but moved toward the wall for larger ${\Phi}$ and ${\gamma}$.
Recently, solar energy is expanding to combination of computing in real time by tracking the position of the sun to estimate the angle of inclination and make up freshly correcting a part of the solar radiation. Solar power is need that reliably linked technology to power generation system renewable energy in order to efficient power production that is difficult to output predict based on the position of the sun rise. In this paper, we analysis of prediction model for solar power generation to estimate the predictive value of solar power generation in the development of real-time weather data. Photovoltaic power generation input the correction factor such as temperature, module characteristics by the solar generator module and the location of the local angle of inclination to analyze the predictive power generation algorithm for the prediction calculation to predict the final generation. In addition, the proposed model in real-time national weather service forecast for medium-term and real-time observations used as input data to perform the short-term prediction models.
This study was performed to investigate the factors affecting muscle activity and cephalometric variables according to change of head postures. For this study, 150 patients with temporomandibular disorders and 80 dental students without any signs and symptoms of temporomandibular disorders were selected as the patients group and as the normal group, respectively. Head position to body-midline in frontal plane and upper quarter posture to body plumb line in sagittal plane were observed clinically and electromyographic(EMG) activity of anterior temporalis, masseter, sternocleidomastoideus, and trapezius on clenching were recorded with $BioEMG^{(R)}$ in four head postures, which were natural head posture(NHP), forward head posture(FHP), $20^{\circ}$ upward head posture(UHP), and $20^{\circ}$ downward head posture(DHP). Cephaloradiographs were also taken in the same head postures as in EMG taking, but that was taken only in NHP for the patient group. Cephalometric variables measured were SN angle, CVT angle, atlas inclination angle, occlusal plane angle, Me-C2 angle, pharyngeal width, occiput~axis distance, area of pharyngeal space, and cervical curvature. The data were analyzed by SAS statistical program. The results of this study were as follows : 1. Between the patient and the normal group, there were significant difference in distance from plumb line to acromion, eye-tragus angle, electromyographic activity of the four muscles, and cephalometric variables of linear measurement. 2. There was no consistent pattern of correlation between upper quarter posture, EMG activity and cephalometric variables in any case without relation to cervical curvature and head position in frontal plane. 3. Sternocleidomastoid muscle only showed variation of electromyographic activty with changes of head postures, but all the muscles did show correlation with head postures. 4. All the cephalometric variables measured in this study showed difference of mean value by head posture, and CVT angle, pharyngeal width, occiput-atlas distance, and area of pharyngeal space showed correlation between these variables with change from NHP to FHP, and from NHP to UHP.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to define the relation of the degree of menton deviation and 3-D CT (computerized tomography) measurements of the glenoid fossa and the mandible, which are considered to have an influence on menton deviation. Methods: The CT images were obtained in 60 adults and these were transmitted to a computer and reconstructed using computer software. According to the degree of the menton deviation, which was measured on the posteroanterior cephalogram, the subjects were divided into the menton deviated group (30 adults) and the symmetry group (30 adults). A total of 11 measurements that might have an effect on menton deviation were determined and these were measured in the right and left sides using the function of 3-D measurement in the computer program. The 11 measurements consist of 6 measurements in the glenoid fossa (vertical position of the glenoid fossa and articular eminence, the sagittal position of the glenoid fossa and articular eminence, the depth of the glenoid fossa, and the anterior angle of the glenoid fossa), and 5 measurements in the mandible (ramus length, frontal ramal inclination, lateral ramal inclination, body length, body height). Results: The comparison of the differences between the menton deviated and symmetry groups and correlation analysis on the degree of menton deviation were carried out. The results of comparison of the right and the left difference between the menton deviated and symmetry groups showed that the vertical position and depth of the glenoid fossa were significantly increased in the menton deviated group. Conclusion: The results of the present study show that consideration of the shape and position of the glenoid fossa is necessary for making the diagnosis and administering proper treatment in facial asymmetry patients and especially growing patients.
Objectives: This study was designed to define the Korean norm values for the Ricketts analysis. Methods: In this longitudinal study, lateral cephalograms of 31 subjects with normal occlusion were taken biennially from ages 9-19 years. Cephalometric measurements were performed. Parameters for which the 10-year change did not exceed one standard deviation were defined as unchanged. The means and standard deviations for the measured parameters were determined for each age group. Results: No significant changes in growth were observed in the molar relationship, incisor overjet, incisor overbite, mandibular incisor extrusion, interincisor angle, lower incisor tip (B1) to A point-Pogonion (A-PO) plane, upper incisor tip (A1) to A-PO plane, B1 inclination to A-PO, A1 inclination to A-PO, B1 inclination to Frankfurt plane (FH), convexity, lower facial height, facial axis, maxillary depth, maxillary height, palatal plane to FH, cranial deflection, ramus Xi position, or porion location. Continual changes over the 10 years of growth were observed in the maxillary first molar distal position to pterygoid true vertical plane, facial depth, mandibular plane to FH, anterior cranial length, mandibular arc, and corpus length. Conclusions: Clinicians can apply the Korean norms at age 9 as determined in this study when using the Ricketts analysis. The patient's age at the beginning of treatment and their sex should be taken into consideration when drawing visual treatment objectives.
