수전동 휠체어용 구동장치 개발 (Development of Driving System for Power Add-on Drive Wheelchair)

  • The recent power add-on drive wheelchairs (PADWs) provide greater physical activity and easier transportability and may be an excellent alternative for the typical manual and powered wheelchairs. The driving system consists of a motor and a motor driver is the most important component of the PADW In this paper, design, implementation, and testing of a driving system for a PADW are presented. To design the output power and torque for the driving system, the equation of motion has been investigated. The motor and driver were fabricated with precise machining and assembled to implement our prototype driving system. The dynamometer test has been carried out using the prototype in order to examine the torque of the system. The experimental results demonstrates that the designed driving system can provide enough output power and efficiency for utilization in a PADW.

  • In this paper, a new shift map was proposed to improve the fuel economy of a transmission mounted electric device(TMED) type dual clutch transmission(DCT) plug-in hybrid electric vehicle(PHEV) by considering transmission and motor losses. To construct the shift map, powertrain efficiencies of the engine-DCT-motor were obtained at each gear step. A shift map that provides the highest powertrain efficiency was constructed for the given wheel torque and vehicle speed. Simulation results showed that the fuel economy of the target PHEV can be improved by the new shift map compared with the existing engine optimal operating line(OOL) shift control.

  • A problem exists in the conventional transportation cart applications, in which an external power supply with mechanical contact connection (bus bar connection) is required to drive the motor. Therefore, continuous effort for maintenance is required, aside from the expensive bus bar connector. To solve this problem, a self-electricity-generated transportation cart system without bus bar has recently been introduced. In this system, a battery needs to store the power of the generated wheel, and a boost converter, which converts the low battery voltage to high bus voltage to drive the motor inverter, is necessary. However, since the instantaneous large current required for starting the motor is supplied from the battery, a battery with large size and volume should be adopted to withstand this large current. In this study, a boost converter that can supply a large instantaneous current by using super Capacitor string is proposed. The proposed converter can be realized with a small size and volume compared with the conventional battery-fed boost converter. Operational principles, analysis, and design of the proposed converter are presented, and experimental results are provided to validate the proposed converter.

  • 본 논문에는 장애물들을 극복할 수 있는 새로운 메커니즘을 연구하기 위해 장애물 극복 전 방향(ALL-Direction) 주행 RC 카를 제작하여 여러 가지 장애물이 있는 시험장을 제작해 주행평가를 진행한다. RDS3115 서보모터를 제어하는 알고리즘을 제안하고, 자이로센서를 활용하여 여러 장애물 지형의 기울기를 인식하고 RC 카가 지형을 넘을 수 있는 서보모터의 각도를 조절한다. 시험장 지형 실험에서 제작한 모든 장애물 지형들을 주행하는 데 있어서 가장 적합한 RC 카의 회전 각도를 확인하였다.

  • This paper developed 110cc class electric motorcycle using IPMSM. First, Tractive effort calculated by considering the driving environment of motorcycle. And accordingly the motor and inverter were designed and manufactured. It was mounted on motorcycles and test result was compared with the output power of motorcycle with an internal combustion engine.

  • In trains driven by electric motor, when the adhesion force between rail and driving wheel decreases suddenly, the electric motor coach has slip phenomena. The characteristics of adhesion force coefficient are strongly affected by the conditions between rails and driving wheels, such as moisture, dust, and oil on the rails and so on. This paper proposes the vector control structure for the improved re-adhesion control with paralleled control of induction motors under the sudden variation of the adhesion force.

  • In electric motor coaches, when the adhesion force between rail and driving wheel decreases suddenly, the electric motor coach has slip phenomena. The characteristics of adhesion force coefficient is strongly affected by the conditions between rails and driving wheels, such as moisture, dust, and oil on the rails and so on. This paper proposes the simulation system for slip & slide test using virtual train. We can easily research the adhesion characteristics and adhesion control method with this equipment under the sudden variation of the adhesion force coefficient.

  • This study proposes the method to make a map of moving environment area and passed area by sensor using for recognizing environment or avoiding obstacle. We win develop an efficient algorithm to use sensors and get the data by the user friendly system. Through this system, we win study the way to know of the driving environment of moving robot on the long distance point. To this, we use only one ultra-sonic sensor with a servo motor which rotates 180 degree and loads an ultra-sonic sensor. A sensor can measure 1m${\sim}$8m range and a servo motor can distinguish 15 degree by 12 divide of 180 degree. By this feature of operating system, the robot which has these sensor module detects around of area and moves another point. In this way, users gather the data of detecting distance and change the data to X-Y coordinates. And users derive a map from these accumulate data.

  • This paper presents the influence of the airgap tolerance on performance of a linear induction motor. Construction tolerance of the plate affects directly to the cost and performance of the Linear metro. LIM has around 10[mm] large airgap with many restrictions such as construction tolerance, thermal expansion and bend of the reaction plate, abrasion of the wheel, and so on. In order to have steady performance, the airgap should be uniform. But it is impossible to maintain the secondary reaction plate be flat along with the long track. Therefore the influence of the flatness on performance of a LIM should be investigated.

  • The recent operating trains including the high speed train are mostly moving system on the rail and system use the mechanical propulsion force to drive the gear and wheel by the traction motor. Advanced countries are interested in Magnetic Levitation Vehicle and they have been studying about it continuously. Thus this paper is analyzed the feature of analysis the feature for Linear Induction Motor as the propulsion equipment of Magnetic Levitation Vehicle.
