차량용 전방 카메라를 이용한 근거리 옆 차선 차량 검출 (Nearby Vehicle Detection in the Adjacent Lane using In-vehicle Front View Camera)

  • 본 논문은 차량용 전방 카메라를 이용하여 근거리 옆 차선의 차량을 검출하는 방법을 제안한다. 근거리 옆 차선의 차량은 상대적 위치에 따라 형태의 변화가 심하기 때문에 기존의 방법들은 대부분 움직임 정보를 이용하여 근거리 옆 차선 차량을 검출한다. 그러나 이러한 움직임 정보에 기반한 방법들은 자가 차량을 앞지르는 차량만 검출할 수 있다는 문제가 있다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 제안하는 방법은 움직임 정보를 사용하는 대신 근거리 옆 차선 차량이 존재하는 관심 영역의 특징을 이용한다. 이로 인해 근거리 옆 차선의 추월 차량 뿐 아니라 정지해 있거나 나란히 주행하는 차량들 또한 검출이 가능하다. 실험 결과, 제안하는 방법은 다양한 날씨 및 도로 환경에서 근거리 옆 차선 차량을 효과적으로 검출하였으며 실시간 처리 속도를 보여주었다.

차량 감시영상에서 그림자 제거를 통한 효율적인 차종의 학습 및 분류 (Efficient Learning and Classification for Vehicle Type using Moving Cast Shadow Elimination in Vehicle Surveillance Video)

  • 일반적으로 감시영상에서 움직이는 물체들은 배경빼기 혹은 프레임 차를 이용하여 추출된다. 하지만 객체에 의해서 만들어지는 그림자는 심각한 탐지의 오류를 야기시킬 수 있다. 특히, 도로 상에 설치된 감시카메라로부터 획득된 영상으로부터 차량 정보를 분석할 때, 차량에 의해서 생성되는 그림자로 인하여 차량의 모양을 왜곡시켜 부정확한 결과를 만든다. 때문에 그림자의 제거는 감시 영상 내에서의 정확한 객체 추출을 위해서 반드시 필요하다. 본 논문은 도로감시영상 내에서 움직이는 차량의 차종판별 성능을 향상시키기 위한 움직이는 객체 내에 만들어지는 그림자를 제거한다. 제거된 객체의 영역은 소실점을 이용하여 3차원 객체로 피팅(Fitting)한 후 측정된 데이터를 감독 학습하여 원하는 차종 판별결과를 얻는데 사용한다. 실험은 3가지 기계학습 방법{IBL, C4.5, NN(Neural Network)}을 이용하여 그림자의 제거가 차종의 판별성능에 미치는 결과의 평가한다.

주변 환경 순응형 자동차 경적 소음 개선 방법 (Methodology for Environmental Adaptation Vehicle Horn Improvements)

  • PURPOSES : While driving, drivers are usually limited in communicating with others except for using the horn. Excessive use of the horn may cause noise pollution, quarrels between drivers and pedestrians, damage, etc. This study developed a methodology for environmental adaptation and improvements of vehicle horns. METHODS: In this study, we performed a literature review of previous studies and related technologies regarding the overuse and damage of the horn. The proposed methodology employed the paired comparison method, as well as the semantic differential method. These methods can consider various vehicle horns, such as the Sport Utility Vehicle(SUV) Horn, Van Horn, and Buzzer. In addition, we conducted a factor analysis in order to provide a direction for improvement of future horns. This research provides a means of complimenting existing intellectual property related to vehicle horns. RESULTS: As a result, the most preferred of the selected horns were the Buzzer at 86.7%. In addition, based on the factor analysis, the horns could be classified into pleasantness and comfort factors. The results indicate a positive reaction for various vehicle horns. The horn type and size of the process control have been properly developed considering the position of the vehicle and the surrounding noise measurements. CONCLUSIONS : Based on the proposed methodology, public and private sectors can use fundamental data for reasonable traffic-noise control policies.

Solar Vehicle을 위한 IPMSM 드라이브의 새로운 MPPT 제어 (A Novel MPPT Control of IPMSM Drive for Solar Vehicle)

  • The solar vehicle is in the spotlight in the eco-friendly aspect of photovoltaic system using unlimited solar energy. The solar vehicle uses energy of photovoltaic and battery. The solar vehicle uses stored energy in battery when photovoltaic power is lower than consumption power by solar vehicle and if photovoltaic power is higher than consumption power by solar vehicle then photovoltaic power is stored to battery. To improve use efficiency of photovoltaic, the researches about MPPT method to operate maximum power point and interior permanent magnet synchronous motor(IPMSM)drive system using photovoltaic is necessary. This paper proposes MPPT control algorithm for solar vehicle using new fuzzy control(NFC). In this paper, to reduce switching loss, the DC-DC converter is omitted. The NFC controller can be use instead of PO. The NFC controller is performed MPPT control using solar cell voltage and q -axis current of IPMSM. The output of NFC is command q -axis current of IPMSM and this current is operated IPMSM. The response characteristics of algorithm proposed in this paper is compared response characteristics of conventional PO method by PSIM program and validity of this paper prove using this result.

수소연료전지자동차용 절연저항 측정시스템 개발에 관한 연구 (Study on Development of the Isolation Resistance Measurement System for Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicle)

  • Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicle(HFCV) is system that uses electrical energy of fuel cell stack to main power source, which is different system with other vehicles that use high-voltage, large-current. Isolation performance of this system which is connected with electrical fire and electrical shock is important point. Isolation resistance of electric installation is divided according to working voltage, it follows criterion more than $100{\Omega}$/VDC (or $500{\Omega}$/VAC) about system operation voltage in a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle. Although measurement of isolation resistance in a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle is two methods, it uses mainly measurement by megger. However, the present isolation resistance measurement system that is optimized to use in electrical facilities is unsuitable for isolation performance estimation of a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle because of limit of maximum short current and difference of measurement resolution. Therefore, this research developed the isolation resistance measurement system so that may be suitable in isolation performance estimation of a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle, verified isolation performance about known resistance by performance verification of laboratory level about developed system, and executed performance verification through comparing results of developed system by performance verification of vehicle level with ones of existing megger. Developed system is judged to aid estimation and upgrade of isolation performance in a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle hereafter.

Charging Control Strategy of Electric Vehicles Based on Particle Swarm Optimization

  • In this paper, proposed a multi-channel charging control strategy for electric vehicle. This control strategy can adjust the charging power according to the calculated state-of-charge (SOC). Electric vehicle (EV) charging system using Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm is proposed. A stochastic optimization algorithm technique such as PSO in the time-of-use (TOU) price used for the energy cost minimization. Simulation results show that the energy cost can be reduced using proposed method.

전복사고에서의 탑승자 손상중증도에 미치는 요인 분석 (Factors affecting injury severity of occupant in rollover accident)

  • Fatality of accidents on curved roads where rollover accidents are likely to take place was higher than that on straight roads. We ought to investigate factors affecting injury severity of occupant in a vehicle rollover accident. From January 2011 to December 2013, we collected data about rollover motor vehicle crash accident. We surveyed occupant's injury, vehicle type, safety devices, type of rollover accident and the number of turn in accident. Of the 132 subjects, 56.1% were males, 50.8% were drivers, 48.5% fastened seat belt, and air bag deployed in 12.1%. Among injuries sustained head, chest and abdomen were major sites of severe injury(Abbreviated injury scale>2). Seat belt use, rollover type, and the number of 1/4 turn were found to have significant positive correlations with Injury Severity Score. The regression analysis herein found significance in safety belt use and the number of 1/4 turn. Seat belt use was a significant factor affecting injury severe of occupant in rollover accident.

웨이브렛 변환 영역에서의 질감 유사성을 이용한 차량검지 및 차종분류 (Vehicle Detection Classification Using Textural Similarity in Wavelet Transformed Domain)

  • In this paper, we propose an efficient vehicle detection and classification algorithm for an electronic toll collection, which is based on shadow robust vehicle presence test. In order to improve the performance of vehicle presence test, we use correlation coefficients between wavelet transformed input and reference images, which takes advanage of textural similarity. We compare the performance of the vehicle presence test with those of some conventional approaches that use variance of frame difference. Experimental results from field test show that the proposed vehicl detection and classification algorithm performs well even under abrupt intensity change due to the characteristics of sensor and occurrence of shadow.

차량내부정보와 외부센서를 사용한 블랙박스 구현 (A implement of blackbox with in vehicle network data and the external sensor data)

  • 최근, 사용이 급증하고 있고 중요성이 높아지고 있는 차량용 블랙박스는 이제 보다 정확하고 다양한 정보를 요구하고 있다. 그 이유는 정확한 사고원인 분석에 도움을 주고 차량관련 범죄에 객관적인 증거자료로 사용될 수 있도록 하기 위함이다. 본 논문에서는 영상과 음정 정보에만 의존하던 기존의 블랙박스가 가지고 있는 한계를 극복하고자 다양한 센서들과 차량 내부정보를 사용하였다. 우선 차량내부 정보를 알 수 있는 OBD II 프로토콜을 사용하여 차량의 현재 상태를 저장하였으며, 또한 외부센서로는 방향각을 알 수 있는 Gyro 센서와 GPS를 사용하여 정확한 현재위치 및 차량의 방향정보를 저장하였으며 차량의 사고 전후의 이동경로 및 방향을 알 수 있으며, 정보들의 동기화를 위해서는 GPS의 시간 정보를 사용하였다. 또한 wifi망을 사용하여 정보를 백업하여 블랙박스 손상 시에도 정보를 확인할 수 있게 하였다.

창고에서의 이송장비 운영정책에 관한 연구 (A Study of Vehicle Operation Policy in Warehouse)

  • Controlling industrial vehicle operated by human in warehouse was not simple since the information transfer for controlling the vehicle was not easy. However, as the technology for the WMS (Warehouse Management System) has been advanced and the PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) has come into wide use in a workplace, the control of man-operated vehicle became less difficult as do to AGVS (Automated Guided Vehicle System). This study examines the ways to improve the efficiency of warehouse operation through introducing rule of task assignment for the vehicles, particularly forklift. This study, basically, refer to AGV operation policy because a great number of studies for AGV dispatching rule have been done and the mechanism for the controlling vehicles is very similar. The workers in field prefer to simple dispatching rules such as Shortest Retrieval Time First (SRTF), Shortest Travel Time First (STTF), and Longest Waiting Time First (LWTF). However, these rules have potential disadvantage. Thus, several rules made up by combining rules mentioned above are introduced and these new rules use threshold value or evaluation formula. The effectiveness of these new rules are tested by simulation and the results are compared. This study proposes favorable dispatching rules for forklift in warehouse for the efficiency of the vehicle operation and stability of service level.
