  • The purpose of this study is to classify the types of and to examine the characteristics of the golden decoration technique used for expressing patterns on the costumes from Dang dynasty to Cheong dynasty era. In order to classify the types of the golden decoration technique and to examine its characteristics, literature review, focusing on documents and records of China, and investigation on the relics from Dang to Cheong Dynasty era were conducted. The types of decoration technique using gold include china JigGeum (brocade technique), InGeum (attaching gold powder and flake technique), GeumSaJaSu (embroidery technique), GeumSaTapestry, mixed technique. Interestingly, it was newly found in this study that embroidery with golden thread was used in the GeumSaTapestry technique and that there were some cases of the mixture of 2-3 gold decoration technique. The GeumSajaSu technique was used the most frequently from Dang dynasty to Yo dynasty era. However, its use had decreased enormously while the use of JigGeum had increased a lot since Geum dynasty era. The mixture of 2-5 techniques was used frequently in JigGeum, GeumSaJaSu, and GeumSaTapestry, but not used in InGeum. Particularly, the mixture technique was the most frequently used in the GeumSaTapestry, which expresses by composition of paintings. All four methods were used the mostly frequently in costumes, while GeumSaJaSu and GeumSaTapestry were generally used for home accessories. InGeum and GeumSaJaSu were used a lot for gaze and leno fabrics such as Sa or Ra, while JigGeum was mostly used for satin weaved fabrics like Dan.

  • The mobile devices are constrained to be low battery, and the mobile data channel is low data rate. Therefore, the computational cost on the client side of the authentication protocol should be low. In 2005, Hwang and Su proposed an efficient authentication protocol for mobile networks. Hwang-Su protocol is more efficient than other related protocols. In this paper, we propose a new efficient authentication protocol for mobile networks. The proposed protocol is more efficient than Hwang-Su's in computational respect although our protocol is nearly equal to Hwang-Su's in communication respect. It is suitable to apply in the mobile networks.

  • RNA interference has been used as a powerful tool in preventing virus proliferation in many species. In this study, we injected the dsRNA in vitro transcripts into Bombyx mori to investigate the resistance to B. mori nuclear polyhedrosis virus (BmNPV). Through vivisectional observation and real-time quantities PCR analysis, we found that these dsRNA can prevent the BmNPV to a certain extent, and delay the viruses' proliferation.

  • Objective : This study will analyze the constitution of Danxihuqianwan(丹溪虎潛丸) with the dragon-tiger and lead-mercury theory of Su Shi(蘇軾). It would help understand more the usage of Danxihuqianwan over the scope of Sa-nam and bo-buk(瀉南補北) theory that has been well known until now. Methods : This study tried to analyze the explanation about Danxihuqianwan in Yixuerumen(醫學入門) that had used the dragon-tiger and lead-mercury concept with the theory of this kind that appears in Sushenliangfang(蘇沈良方). Results & Conclusion: Based on the internal alchemy theory, Su Shi proclaimed that dragon[龍] corresponds to mercury[汞] Jeong(精) Hyul(血), and tiger[虎] corresponds to lead[鉛] Qi(氣). It is said to be in good position that dragon appears from fire and tiger is hidden in water. Su Shi also expalined the relation between dragon and tiger as the relation of water[水] and fire[火] between heart and kidney. As Li Yan(李梴) did, the dragon-tiger theory could be applied to the analysis about Danxihuqianwan, and it explains well the effect of this prescription that makes tiger hidden in water and thus help cure the diseases such as atrophy syndrome.

  • The numerical simulation of dam break problem suffers from several challenges in terms of accuracy, stability, and versatility of the simulation algorithm since the water flow is generally discontinuous and presents abrupt variations. Thus, to obtain stable and accurate solutions, flow models for this purpose require numerical schemes provided with shock-capturing properties, and with the ability to work with flexible two-dimensional meshes. In this context, SU/PG method(Hughes and Brooks, 1979) is excellent candidate for the solution of the dam break problem. The weak formulation of the equations and the discontinuous polynomial basis lead to an accurate representation of bore waves(shocks). Furthermore, the discretization of the domain in finite elements is extremely effective in modeling complex geometries. In this study, a finite element model based on the SU/PG scheme is developed to solve shallow water equations and the model is applied to dam break problem. It is found that the present model accurately captures the bore wave that propagates downstream while spreading laterally and the depression wave that moves upstream. Furthermore, the propagation and formation of water surface profile compared favorably with those obtained by the previously published results.

  • Two-photon stereolithography (TPS) is recognized as a useful process for the fabrication of three-dimensional microstructures. Recently, the need for a two-photon curable resin with high strength increases as 3-D moicrostructures of high aspect ratio or large scale of several hundreds micrometers are required for applications of nano/micro devices in IT/BT. In this work, process parameters of TPS employing the SU-8 which is a representative two-photon curable resin with high strength have been studied for the precise fabrication of 3-D microstructures with high strength. The pre-baking and post-baking processes are studied and the parameter study of the SU-8 in TPS is conducted. Through this work, very small roughness of 12 nm and the minimum aspect ratio of ${\sim}1$ which provides a precise accumulation of layers could be obtained. Using the conditions studied in this work, some 3-D examples are fabricated.

  • There is a acupuncture method which make a difference according to the four seasons, according to body region or depth in skin. We call it Acupuncture follow the four seasons(四時刺法). In several chapters of Huangdineijing(黃帝內經) introduced Acupuncture follow the four seasons. Acupuncture follow the four seasons has two kinds of acupuncture method that is to acupuncture at body region and to acupuncture at five Su points(五兪穴). To use five Su points(五兪穴) according to Yongchu(靈樞) disagree with Nanjing(難經). In Yongchu(靈樞), the five phases property disagree with five Su points(五兪穴), but in Nanjing(難經) the five phases property agree with five Su points(五兪穴). Even if we can acupuncture the same point, there will be the different effect according as what is the purpose of doing acupuncture, and when we do acupuncture. That is to say, we can use apucupuncture for the purpose of prevention in Yongchu(靈樞), and for the purpose of healing the disease in Nanjing(難經). Therefore, because we select the point on the base of meridian Kis origin which spring out, we have to acupuncture Chong point(井穴) in winter according to Yongchu(靈樞). Because we select the point on the base of meridian Kis origin which flowing, we have to acupuncture Chong point(井穴) in spring according to Nanjing(難經). And in the base of five phases' property, the purpose of selecting five Su points(五兪穴) is the prevention according to Yongchu(靈樞), and the healing according to Nanjing(難經). So even though we acupuncture the exactly same Chong point(井穴), we can expect the effect that acupuncture method supply Ki for liver in winter. and the effect that it extract pathogenic Ki(邪氣) from the liver in spring.

  • Objective : The aim of this study was to find the literature basis on SuGi-therapy(手氣療法) in Donguibogam. Methods : Anma(按摩), Doin(導引), Angyo(按蹻), Anap(按壓) and Chuna(推拿), the keyword of this study, were researched, analyzed and classified in Donguibogam. Results : 1) In Donguibogam, the keyword Anma(按摩) and Doin(導引) showed up 10 and 33 times, respectively and 7 and 20 times, respectively in the body except the table of contents. In considering the meaningful cases, in short, Anma(按摩) and Doin(導引) appeared 7 and 16 times, respectively. Furthermore we could know Anma(按摩) showed up 4 times with the highest frequency in Oehyeongpyeon(外形篇), and Doin(導引) showed up 11 times with the highest frequency in Naegyeongpyeon(內景篇). 2) Anma(按摩) was mostly used as a separate word and only 2 times was "Anmadoin(按摩導引)" used. In 16 meaningful cases, Doin(導引) was used as "Doinbeop(導引法)" 14 times and 2 times was "Anmadoin(按摩導引)" used in a linked form. Among 14 times when "Doinbeop(導引法)" was referred, it was stated as "Do Doinbeop(導引法)" without any detailed explanations 2 times and it was explained about how to pose when people do Doinbeop(導引法) for prevention and treatment 12 times. 3) Reviewed in Donguibogam, Anma(按摩) and Doin(導引) were the ChoGi-therapy(調氣療法) in all. Because they include both massaging by oneself and getting a massage from someone else, they all could be 'SuGi-therapy(手氣療法)' in a broad sense. 4) In Sikjeokbyeong(息積病), the 12th chapter of Jeokchwimun(積聚文) in Japbyeongpyeon(雜病篇), Doinbeop(導引法) was referred as the treatment of Jeok(積) which belongs to obstinate and incurable diseases. This means SuGi-therapy(手氣療法) could be the basis of using widely on several incurable diseases in modern society. 5) There is few paper about SuGi-therapy(手氣療法). SuGi-therapy (手氣療法) doesn't seem to form a large part in modern Korean medicine but it is a remedy that has been together with the history of Korean medicine so long and has great therapeutic effects and usefulness. From now on, the literature and clinical study on SuGi-therapy(手氣療法) should be conducted continuously and developed for the better.
