  • In learning environment at mathematics education, prove and refute are essential abilities to demonstrate whether and why a statement is true or false. Learning proofs and counter examples within the domain of limit of sequence is important because preservice teacher encounter limit of sequence in many mathematics courses. Recently, a number of studies have showed evidence that pre service and students have problem with mathematical proofs but many research studies have focused on abilities to produce proofs and counter examples in domain of limit of sequence. The aim of this study is to contribute to research on preservice teachers' productions of proofs and counter examples, as participants showed difficulty in writing these proposition. More importantly, the analysis provides insight and understanding into the design of curriculum and instruction that may improve preservice teachers' learning in mathematics courses.

  • This study purports to review and discuss the evolution of Physical Education in terms of ecological viewpoint. To achieve this purpose, this study try to look for the meanings through the 2007 revised physical education curriculum. The reason that I look for the meanings from the curriculum is because the curriculum includes objectives, values and philosophical backgrounds in Physical Education. Through this study, I found the following results. Governmental active supports to reinforce roles of in-service teachers should be emphasized. Second, teacher should focus on Game strategies for Physical Education. Third, mental function for activities in Physical Education should be considered as an intelligence as one of H. Gardner's multiple intelligences rather than they are just accepted as the level of functions or a motor nerves. Fourth, Physical Education for 11 and 12 grades should be accepted as a requirement to maintain Physical Education. classes in high school as a normalization process.

  • Several researches have been done on the meaning of probabilistic thinking level and its pedagogical implication. However, there is lack of trials of using topics in probability to educate mathematically gifted students. As a result, we don't have sound understanding on gifted students' probabilistic thinking level and how to facilitate it through educational program. This study examines the meaning of probabilistic thinking level, develops and applies tasks in probability for gifted education. Having the analysis of the student responses, this study tries to investigate how teachers who participate in an in-service teacher education program interpret the developed tasks and student responses. In conclusion, this study shows the possible approach of gifted education using probability tasks to facilitate gifted students' probabilistic thinking level and its potential in identification of giftedness through observation.

  • The rapid development and progress of information and communication technology are bringing about changes in the field of education, and innovative methods in teaching-learning have been introduced and applied a lot in the actual field starting with the pandemic. Reflecting this trend, the purpose of this study is to examine the perception of prospective elementary school teachers on the use of edutech, which is widely used in the educational field after COVID-19. To this end, I analyzed the results of 7 major ideas selected at the Edutech Utilization Competition held by K University of Education and the focus group interview conducted with 2 pre-service teachers. As a result of the analysis, it was found that prospective elementary school teachers valued the necessity and importance of edutech-based classes. In addition, they were positively aware of the educational effect of edutech-based classes. To sum up, it could be predicted that edutech classes are also linked to the policies and plans of the Ministry of Education, and will play an important role in effectively guiding future learners while achieving the goals set by the curriculum.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate teaching anxiety and the professional development of beginning secondary science teachers. For this study, a survey was conducted among beginning science teachers (N=83) with under five years of experience, and in-depth interviews with these five teachers were carried out. The survey tackled beginning secondary science teachers' anxiety levels by asking about their difficulties in teaching science classes, and results showed that the teachers' levels of teaching anxiety marked high. Levels of teaching anxiety in physics among subjects and in chemistry among experiments marked highest. To overcome teaching anxiety, teachers searched for information on the Internet or received help from their colleagues and veteran teachers. They revealed that plans for professional development as science teachers included receiving in-service training and joining teacher communities. In addition, the best type of required training program for professional development appeared to be lectures about teaching know-how from veteran teachers.

  • Innovation is considered as an implemented innovation in education - in the content, methods, techniques and forms of educational activity and personality education (methods, technologies), in the content and forms of organizing the management of the educational system, as well as in the organizational structure of educational institutions, in the means of training and education and in approaches to social services in education, distance and multimedia learning, which significantly increases the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of the educational process. The classification of currently known pedagogical technologies that are most often used in practice is shown. The basis of the innovative activity of a modern teacher is the formation of an innovative program-methodical complex in the discipline. Along with programmatic and content provision of disciplines, the use of informational tools and their didactic properties comes first. It combines technical capabilities - computer and video technology with live communication between the lecturer and the audience. In pedagogical innovation, the principles reflecting specific laws and regularities of the implementation of innovative processes are singled out. All principles are elements of a complex system of organization and management of innovative activities in the field of education and training. They closely interact with each other, which enhances the effect of each of them due to the synergistic effect. To improve innovative activities in the training of students, today computer technologies are widely used in pedagogy as a science, as well as directly in the practice of the pedagogical process. They have gained the most popularity in such activities as distance learning, online learning, assistance in the education management system, development of programs and virtual textbooks in various subjects, searching for information on the network for the educational process, computer testing of students' knowledge, creation of electronic libraries, formation of a unified scientific electronic environment, publication of virtual magazines and newspapers on pedagogical topics, teleconferences, expansion of international cooperation in the field of Internet education. The article considers computer technologies as the main building material for the entire society. In the modern world, there is a need to prepare a person for life in a multimedia environment. This process should be started as early as possible, because the child's contact with the media is present almost from the moment of his birth.
