Diode laser를 이용한 STS420J2의 표면경화 특성에 관한 연구 (A study on the hard surfacing Characteristics of STS420J2 by using Diode laser)

  • 본 연구에서는 실생활에 많이 이용되며 주로 주방용 식기 및 식칼, 소형칼, 주방 가위 등으로 널리 사용되는 STS420J2를 실험소재로 사용하였다. 마르텐사이트계 스테인리스강은 Cr13%이상 함유하고 있어 약 $1,050^{\circ}C$를 정점으로 하여 그 이상의 고온에서는 저하하는 단점을 가지고 있다. 실험에 사용되는 시험편 표면에 표면경화를 수행하기 위하여 #200 ~ #1500의 순서대로 미세연마 후 거친연마 가공을 실시하였으며, 다이오드 레이저의 표면경화 열처리 후에 자기냉각효과를 고려하여 $100{\times}50{\times}10$의 판재로 시험편을 제작하여 실험하였다. 소재 표면에 다이오드 레이저를 이용하여 국소부위에 표면경화 열처리를 수행하였다. 이때 다이오드 레이저의 출력과 이송속도를 공정조건으로 하여, 미세경도시험, 미세조직시험, 전자 주사 현미경(SEM), 입열량을 분석하였다. 분석 후에는 실험소재의 기계적 특성을 비교하여, 타 표면경화법에 비해 다이오드 레이저를 이용하였을 때의 표면경화 열처리 신뢰성과 우수함 그리고 최적의 공정조건을 도출하였다. 열처리 후 경화부는 Plate martensite로 경화 되었으며. 경도값은 Hv606.2로 열처리 후 약 3배 이상 표면경도가 향상되었다.

  • 본 연구에서는 산업현장에서 각종 기어나, 축, 체인, 롤러, 금형, 자동차강판 등으로 널리 쓰여 지는 기계구조용 탄소강인 SM45C를 실험소재로 사용하였다. 실험에 사용되는 시험편 표면에 표면경화를 수행하기 위하여 #200 ~ #1500의 순서대로 미세연마 후 거친연마의 연마가공을 실시하였으며, 다이오드 레이저의 표면경화 열처리 후에 자기냉각효과를 고려하여 $100{\times}50{\times}10$의 판재로 시험편을 제작하여 실험하였다. 소재 표면에 다이오드 레이저를 이용하여 국소부위에 표면경화 열처리를 수행하였다. 이때 다이오드 레이저의 출력과 이송속도를 공정조건으로 하여, 미세경도시험, 미세조직시험, 전자 주사 현미경(SEM), 입열량을 분석하였다. 분석 후에는 실험소재의 기계적 특성을 비교하여, 타 표면 경화법에 비해 다이오드 레이저를 이용하였을 때의 표면경화 열처리 신뢰성과 우수함 그리고 최적의 공정조건을 도출하였다. 열처리 후 경화부는 판상 마르텐사이트로 경화 되었으며. 경도값은 Hv729.5로 열처리 후 약 2.3배 이상 표면경도가 향상되있는 것을 확인하였다.

Effect of Red Pepper (Capsicum frutescens) Powder or Red Pepper Pigment on the Performance and Egg Yolk Color of Laying Hens

  • Two experiments were conducted to study the effects of red pepper (Capsicum frutescens) powder or red pepper pigment on the performance and egg yolk color of laying hens. In Exp. 1, 210, thirty-wk old, Hy-line Brown laying hens were fed one of seven diets containing 0.3, 0.6, 1.2, 2.0, 4.8 or 9.6 ppm red pepper pigment or 0.3 ppm carophyll red. Each diet was fed to three replicate batteries of hens with each battery consisting of a row of five cages of hens with two hens per cage (n = 3). In Exp. 2, 180, thirty-wk old, Hyline Brown laying hens, housed similarly to those in Exp. 1, were fed an unsupplemented basal diet as well as treatments in which the basal diet was supplemented with 0.8% red pepper powder processed in a laboratory blender to an average particle size of $300{\mu}m$, 0.8% red pepper powder processed as a super fine powder with a vibrational mill ($44{\mu}m$) and finally 0.8% red pepper powder processed as a super fine powder with a vibrational mill but mixed with 5% $Na_2CO_3$ either before or after grinding. A diet supplemented with 0.3 ppm carophyll red pigment was also included (n = 3). In both experiments, hens were fed the red pepper powder or pigment for 14 days. After feeding of the powder or pigment was terminated, all hens were fed the basal diet for eight more days to determine if the dietary treatments had any residual effects. In Exp. 1, there were no differences in egg-laying performance, feed consumption or feed conversion ratio due to inclusion of red pepper pigment in the diet. Average egg weight was higher (p<0.05) for birds fed 1.2, 2.4 or 9.6 ppm red pepper pigment than for birds fed the diet containing 0.3 ppm red pepper pigment. On d 14, egg color scores increased linearly as the level of red pepper pigment in the diet increased. In Exp. 2, feeding red pepper powder did not affect egg-laying performance, feed consumption or feed conversion ratio (p>0.05). However, compared with the control group, supplementation with all of the red pepper powder treatments increased egg weight (p<0.05). All the red pepper powder treatments also increased (p<0.05) the yolk color score compared with the control. The results of the present study suggest that both red pepper powder and pigment are effective feed additives for improving egg yolk color for laying hens.

처리방법에 따른 불가사리의 이용율 및 사료적 가치 (Bioavailability and Feed Value of Starfish with Various Treatments)

  • 본 연구는 불가사리의 사료적 가치를 평가하기 위하여 불가사리 추출물의 항균효과, 영양소, 아미노산 조성 및 산란계에서 영양소 이용을 측정하였다. 불가사리 추출물은 열수추출법과 에테르추출법으로 추출하여 항균효과 측정에 이용하였다. 불가사리의 사료적 가치평가는 $60^{\circ}C$에서 3일간 건조하여 분쇄(Grinding starfish, GS) 및 extrusion 가공 (Extruded grinding starfish, EGS), 효소첨가발효(Enzyme fermented starfish, EFS) 및 효소미첨가 발효(Non-enzyme fermented starfish, NEFS)의 4개 sample에 대하여 영양성분 및 소화율을 측정하였다. 실험 결과, 불가사리 추출물 항균실험은 열수와 에테르추출물로 나누어 유산균과 병원성미생물에 대한 성장 및 억제실험을 실행 하였는데 항균효과가 낮게 나타났다. 불가사리의 사료적 가치 평가를 위하여 불가사리 가공방법에 따른 단백질 함량은 GS와 EGS에 비하여 EFS와 NEFS가 각각 62.86%와 52.82%로 유의적(p<0.05)으로 높았다. Ca 함량은 GS 및 EGS가 각각 17.26%와 18.26%로 EFS와 NEFS의 5.37%와 8.55%에 비하여 높았지만 그 원인은 EFS 및 NEFS는 발효 후 Ca을 제거하였기 때문으로 사료되었다. 불가사리의 가공방법에 따른 총아미노산 함량은 GS, EGS, EFS, NEFS에서 각각 17.17mg/g, 20.28mg/g, 36.30mg/g 및 29.96mg/g 으로 나타났다. 이 전체 아미노산 함량을 단백질 함량에 대한 비율(Total amino acid/CP, TC ratio)로 환산하면 GS, EGS, EFS, NEFS에서 각각 45.5%, 47.5%, 57.7% 및 56.7%로서 발효 처리시 전체 아미노산 함량이 높게 나타났다. 단백질 소화율은 발효 처리한 불가사리(EFS와 NEFS)에서 약 80%이었으며, Ca의 이용율도 80%를 상회하였다. 효소 처리한 EFS를 산란계에 급여시 영양소 이용율은 다른 처리구에 비하여 현저하게 높게 나타났다. 본 실험의 결과 적절하게 가공한 불가사리는 사료자원으로서 가치가 높게 평가되었다.

대형 광학계 연마 장비에 의한 대구경 반사경의 최적 근사 구면 제조 방법에 관한 연구 (An Optical Surfacing Technique of the Best-fitted Spherical Surface of the Large Optics Mirror with Ultra Precision Polishing Machine)

  • This paper describes a novel method to surface large optics mirror with an extremely high hardness, which could replace the high cost of the repetitive off-line measurement steps and the large ultra-precision grinding machine with ultra-positioning control of 10 nm resolution. A lot of diamond pellet to be attached on the convex aluminum base consists of a grinding tool for the concave large mirror, and the tool was pressured down on the large mirror blank. The tool motion at an interval on the spiral path was controlled with each feed rate as the dwell time in the conventional computer-controlled polishing. The shape to be surfaced was measured directly by a touch probe on the machine without any separation of the mirror blank. Total 40 iterative steps of the surfacing and measurement could demonstrate the form error of RMS $7.8{\mu}m$, surface roughness of Ra $0.2{\mu}m$ for the mirror blank with diameter of 1 m and spherical radius of curvature of 5400 mm.

Potential of Using Maize Cobs in Pig Diets - A Review

  • The quest to broaden the narrow range of feed ingredients available to pig producers has prompted research on the use of low cost, unconventional feedstuffs, which are typically fibrous and abundant. Maize cobs, a by-product of a major cereal grown worldwide, have potential to be used as a pig feed ingredient. Presently, maize cobs are either dumped or burnt for fuel. The major challenge in using maize cobs in pig diets is their lignocellulosic nature (45% to 55% cellulose, 25% to 35% hemicellulose, and 20% to 30% lignin) which is resistant to pigs' digestive enzymes. The high fiber in maize cobs (930 g neutral detergent fiber/kg dry matter [DM]; 573 g acid detergent fiber/kg DM) increases rate of passage and sequestration of nutrients in the fiber reducing their digestion. However, grinding, heating and fermentation can modify the structure of the fibrous components in the maize cobs and improve their utilization. Pigs can also extract up to 25% of energy maintenance requirements from fermentation products. In addition, dietary fiber improves pig intestinal health by promoting the growth of lactic acid bacteria, which suppress proliferation of pathogenic bacteria in the intestines. This paper reviews maize cob composition and the effect on digestibility of nutrients, intestinal microflora and growth performance and proposes the use of ensiling using exogenous enzymes to enhance utilization in diets of pigs.

Multi Layer 다이아몬드 전착 공구의 가공특성에 관한 연구 (Processing Characteristics of Multi Layer Diamond Electrodeposition Tool)

  • In the semiconductor and display component industries, the use of ceramic materials, which are high-strength materials, is increasing for ensuring durability and wear resistance. Among them, alumina materials are used increasingly. Alumina materials are extremely difficult to process because of their high strength; as such, research and development in the area of mineral material processing is being promoted actively to improve their processing. In this study, the processability of an electrodeposition tool is investigated using the electrodeposition method to smoothly process alumina materials. Furthermore, processing is conducted under various processing conditions, such as spindle speed, feed speed, and depth of cut. In addition, the processing characteristics of the workpiece are analyzed based on the tooling.

절삭 선단의 축 방향 경사각이 가공성 세라믹에 미치는 영향 (Effect on Axial Rake Angle of Cutting Edge for Machinable Ceramics)

  • The machining process of ceramics can be characterized by cracking and brittle fracture. In the machining of ceramics, edge chipping and crack propagation are the principal reasons to cause surface integrity deterioration. Such phenomenon can cause not only poor dimensional and geometric accuracy, but also possible failure of the ceramic parts. Thus, traditional ceramics are very difficult-to-cut materials. Generally, ceramics are machined using conventional method such as grinding and polishing. However these processes are generally costly and have low MRR(material removal rate). To overcome such problems, in this paper, h-BN powder, which gives good cutting property, is added for the fabrication of machinable ceramics by volume of 10 and 15%. The purpose of this study is an analysis of endmill's rake angle for appropriate tools design and manufacturing for the machinable ceramics. In this study, Experimental works are executed to measure cutting force, surface roughness, tool fracture, on different axial rake angle of endmills. Cutting parameters, namely, feed, cutting speed and depth of cut are used to accomplish purpose of this paper. Required experiments are performed, and the results are investigated.

M/C 가공과 회귀분석방법에 의한 가공성 세라믹의 특성 평가 (A Property Evaluation of Machinable Ceramics by M/C Machining and Multiple Linear Regression Method)

  • In machining of ceramic materials, they are very difficult-to cut materials because of there high strength and hardness. Machining of ceramics are characterized by cracking and brittle fracture. Generally, ceramics are machined using conventional method such as grinding and polishing. However these processes are generally costly and have low MRR(material removal rate). This paper focuses on machinability evaluation of machinable ceramics for products with CNC machining center. Thus, in this paper, experiment applying cutting parameters is performed based on experimental design method. A design and analysis of experiments is conducted to study the effects of these parameters on the surface roughness by using the S/N ratio, analysis of ANOVA, and F-test. And multiple linear regression analysis is applied to compare experimental with predicted data in consideration of surface roughness. Cutting parameters, namely, feed, cutting speed and depth of cut are used to accomplish purpose of this paper. Required experiments are performed, and the results are investigated.

다구찌법을 이용한 석영의 최적 가공조건 선정에 관한 연구 (Selection of Optimal Processing Conditions for Quartz Using the Taguchi Method)

  • Quartz (SiO2) has high abrasion and heat resistances and excellent chemical and mechanical properties; therefore, it is used in various industries, such as machinery, chemistry, optics, and medicine. Quartz is a high-hardness and brittle material and is classified as the topmost difficult-to-cut material, which is because of the cracking or chipping at the edge during processing. Corner wear, such as cracks and chippings that occur during cutting, is a major cause for the deterioration in the machining quality. Therefore, many researchers are investigating various techniques to process quartz effectively. However, owing to the mechanical properties of quartz, most studies have been conducted on grinding, micromachining, and microdrilling. Few studies have been conducted on quartz processing. The purpose of this study was to analyze the machining characteristics according to the machining factors during the slot machining of quartz using a cubic boron nitride (CBN) tool and to select the optimal machining conditions using the Taguchi method. The machining experiment was performed considering three process variables: the spindle speed, feed rate, and depth of cut. The cutting force and surface roughness were analyzed according to the processing conditions.
