This thesis seeks to inquire into the effect of group art therapy using a fabric medium on the emotional intelligence of middle school students. This application of fabrics to group art therapy is helpful in terms of gender roles and equality from an educational aspect and can help activate and control positive sentiment. Therefore, it was believed to have a positive effect on emotional intelligence. The subjects were 28 boys and girls who were students of the Supportive Project for the Priority Region of Educational Welfare Investment. The measurement tool is a revision of the emotional intelligence test of Mun Yong-Rin (1997), which itself was based on the emotional intelligence model of Mayer and Salovey (1997). The data materials are analyzed by SPSS (ver. 17.0 for Windows). To test the homogeneity of the groups, the Mann-Whitney U test was carried out, and to analyze the effect of this program, the Wilcoxon signed ranks test was carried out. The results are as follows. This program had a positive effect on the emotional intelligence of both male and female students, especially on their empathy and activation of thinking among the subcategories. This study has significance in that it verifies the effect of the improvement of emotional intelligence by way of group art therapy using fabrics, adding a fabric medium to the art medium. As the subject group was restricted to 28 adolescents in the Supportive Project, it is not easy to generalize the achievement to the entiresphere of group art therapy.
Purpose: The study was undertaken to examine the degree of nurse's suffering experience and to identify the influencing factors on nurses' suffering experience in Korea. Method: Data were collected using a questionnaire for 271 nurses working at 5 general hospitals in Daegu and Kyung-book province from Sep. 1, to Sep. 30, 2003. The questionnaire consists of 54 items, general characteristics(10) and nurse's suffering experience(44). All surveys were sorted and studied by frequency analysis, mean score, standard deviation, range, independent t-test, one way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient and Multiple regression. Result: The findings of this survey indicate 1) The degree of suffering experienced by nurses caring for terminal cancer patients was 2.96; 2) Demographic variables affecting the degree of nurses' suffering experience were age(F=5.62, p=.000), marital status(F=20.53, p=.000), religion(F=5.44, p=.020), career of clinical experience(F=6.96, p=.000), and feelings of end-life care(F=3.11, p=.016); 3) There were slight correlation between the subitem of nurse's suffering experience and general characteristics of subjects. For 'expanding self consciousness', age, career duration, and position; for 'forming empathy with family', age and career duration ; for 'spiritual sublimation', age, and career duration were affected variables. 4) As a result of the multiple regression analysis for predictable variables affecting nurses' suffering, it was found that 'career of clinical experience' was most significant(F=23.100, p=.000). The explanatory power of this regression formula was 17.6%. Conclusion: This study can provide the basic data useful towards improvement of nursing services for terminal cancer patients and the health of the nurse.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the competence level of the caregiver and verify empirically the evaluated score of the competence level of the caregiver depending on the type of career and employment to propose a measure to improve the quality of care services. To more accurately evaluate the competence level of caregiver, the collected data were analyzed using fuzzy relationships for identifying the extent of relationship, after setting weighted values for the evaluation factors for working levels and service qualities. Such approach has a significance in that individual evaluation factors and individual's competence levels for caregivers may be more suitably and exactly identified. The analysis results are as follows. Care skill, reliability, assurance, typicality were statistically significant according to the caregiver's career. Also, according to the types of employment, job consciousness, responsiveness, empathy, typicality were statistically significant. To improve the competence level of the caregiver, it may be seen that improvement of job consciousness considering the career and employment types and making environments for acquiring the care skills should be done, while providing stability of the employment types rather than careers is more meaningful to improve the quality of services.
The aim of this study was to develop, implement, and evaluate the use of Artificial Intelligence in the prevention of violence among middle-school students. The sample for this study consisted of 20 first-year middle-school students who participated in theme selection activities in a free semester program as part of their home economics studies. The data for the study consisted of nine class observation logs, four group activity outputs, 30 class results, an online survey, and in-depth interviews with three students. A program called "R.U.OK" was developed by setting problematic situation for school violence prevention linked to the contents of the Home Economics Education(HEE) curriculum. After the program was implemented, the survey on the students' class satisfaction content elements, with AI-based learning activities and PBL and interest, displayed high points, with an average of 4.0 or higher. Our qualitative analysis produced four significant results. First, students' concerns about school violence had increased and they showed a change in attitude, having more empathy with friends and more interest in their surroundings. Second, digital and AI literacy had improved, and students' interest in digital media learning had increased. Third, there had been an improvement in problem-solving ability in terms of being able to think more critically and independently. Fourth, the results also demonstrated that there had been a positive effect on self-direction and an improved capacity for teamwork. This study was significant in demonstrating the effectiveness of a program for the prevention of school violence based on the use of digital technology in the educational environment.

In the global context, particularly in Christian nations, Christmas is considered a culturally and ethically significant time. In this study, we examine Charles Dickens' novel, "A Christmas Carol," and the celebration of Christmas in Korea. We explore the values of Christmas in Korea derived from the significance and importance of this novel. These values include repentance, empathy, compassion, and the importance of humanity. Korean Christmas is regarded as a time for practicing these values, bearing a message akin to the transformation of characters like Scrooge. Furthermore, "A Christmas Carol" conveys a message of improvement and change over time, emphasizing change and growth in Korean Christmas. People reflect on their past, correct their mistakes, nurture hope for the future, and experience personal growth and transformation. Additionally, the novel raises awareness of social injustice and inequality, offering alternatives. In Korean society, Christmas encourages the willingness to care for and help others, facilitating discussions and understanding of societal issues. For these reasons, "A Christmas Carol" is considered a culturally and ethically significant time in Korean Christmas, and the two are intertwined in various aspects. This study explores the interaction between cultural change and ethical teachings by 'A Christmas Carol' and investigates the impact of this work on Christmas culture and social change. It serves as the basis for emphasizing moral principles and humanity during the Christmas season, and this research provides suggestions for future research directions, aiming to deepen the understanding of Dickens' work and the importance of "A Christmas Carol." Through these efforts, it is expected that valuable insights into the connection between Christmas culture and moral messages will be gained. In this study, we will delve into the enduring appeal and cultural significance of "A Christmas Carol," discussing how this novel has evolved into a beloved holiday tradition and a true symbol of Christmas. We will also examine the adaptation of this novel into various media and its influence on holiday season celebrations. Insights into the impact of this novel on Korean society and its continued significance in modern times will be provided, suggesting a direction for a healthier and more desirable path for Korean society.

The purpose of this study was to examine the perceptions between teachers and parents on the role and operation of Sejong Special Self-Governing City Early Childhood Education and Development Institute (ECED). The conclusions were as follows: First, more than 96% of the teachers and parents perceived that it was necessary to establish ECED, and the major role of the institute should be providing experience-based educational program. Second, the program of the institute should be organized based on interest induction of children and their creativity development, and cultural art experience-based education was the most desirable program for the weekend. Third, for the teacher support programs, professional development and empathy ability improvement were the key of the program, whereas the parents perceived that communication skills with their children and understanding of child development were essential. As a result, it was obvious that the needs of ECED establishment from teachers and parents were high, and the perceptions of both sides were not different.

IT security service provides customers with the capability of protecting the networked information asset and infrastructures, and the scope of security service is expanding from a technology-intensive task to a comprehensive protection system for IT environment. To improve the quality of this service, a research model which help assess the quality is required. Several research models have been proposed and used in various service areas, but few cases are found for IT security service. In this work, a research model for the IT security quality has been proposed, based on research models such as SERVQUAL and E-S-QUAL. With the proposed model, factors which affect the service quality and the best quality measure have been identified. And the feasibility of using quantitative measures for quality has been examined. For analysis, structural equation modeling and various statistical methods such as principal component analysis were used. The result shows that satisfaction is the most significant measure affected by the proposed quality factors. Two quality factors, fulfillment and empathy, are the main determinants of the service quality. This leads to a strategy of quality improvement based on factors of emotion and perception, not of technology. The quantitative measures are considered as promising alternative measures, when combined with other measures. In order to design reliable quantitative measures, more work should be done on target processing time and users' expectation. It is hoped that work of this research will provide efficient tools and methods to improve the quality of IT security service and help future research works for other IT service areas.

Recently, due to external environment like the changes in health policy and various healthcare accreditations, along with hospital's internal efforts to improve the quality of medical services, demands for the development of medical information systems are increasing. Some examples are clinical information like DUR (Drug Utilization Review), CVR (Critical Value Report), and automatic benefit processing by treatment purposes, or hospital DSS (Decision Support System) on overall medical practice. Such systems act as a guide in making clinic judgments during practice or in other medical practice, and their effects on the medical treatment improvements are being proven by previous studies. In the reality of increasing attention in the effects of medical treatment improvement, studies related to hospital DDS were mostly focused on clinical, technical, and engineering points of view, and studies focusing on the user viewpoint are very limited. In order to verify the effects of DSS on practice improvements and hospital's management performance, this study used a research model constructed to verify how SERVQUAL of hospital DSS affects hospital management performance in BSC (Balanced Score Card) point of view. To empirically verify the research model, a questionnaire was conducted on the basis of "K-University Hospital's DSS" on clinicians and hospital employees related to system development, and the relationships between the factors were analyzed through path analysis. As a result of path analysis, excluding reactivity, tangibility, confidence, reliability, empathy among service qualities, had partially significant effects on management performance factors (learning and growth, internal process, financial affairs). This study is to prepare the theoretical ground on the management performance analysis of hospital DSS, and suggest the service quality of the system that should be considered in the planning and development stages for improved system.
The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of Share house quality, trust and commitment to reuse intention of share houses, which are used residences of the college students of South Korea, with a view to confirming whether such share houses can function as an alternative form of residence for college students and young generation. With this, it is intended to enhance the understanding of the current share house market and find implications in the reasonable supply of share houses in the near future and the improvement of the living environment. Literature reviews and empirical studies were conducted in this paper. The findings of this study can be summarized as follows; Regression analysis was conducted to see how tangibility, safety, empathy, reliability, and responsiveness of Share house quality affect trust, commitment, and reuse intension.
The purpose of this study is to identify medical consumers' hospital selection factors in response to the rapidly changing environment of medical industry. For that purpose this study classified consumers' hospital selection factors into three categories such that human factors including expertise, reliability, empathy; system factor including, convenience, differentiation, efficiency; and facility factor including tangibility, accessibility, and location, based on the previous studies and the results of a preliminary survey of the patients of a small private hospital. The nine factors were further divided into 23 more specific attributes. Then, an online survey was conducted to measure the perceptions of the 23 attributes by the medical consumers over the age of 20. The analysis of the survey data using Kano model and Timko model indicated that 14 of the 23 attributes were classified as attractive factors, eight attributes were or classified as, one-dimensional factors, and one attribute, doctors' educational background, was classified as indifference factor. Of the 14 attractive factors, "unique and differentiated services related to medical treatment" and "distance from home to hospital" had the highest customer satisfaction coefficients. Of the eight one-dimensional factors, "kind treatment," "providing adequate explanations," "accuracy of diagnosis," and "cleanness of facilities" had the highest customer satisfaction coefficients as well as the highest dissatisfaction coefficients. The findings indicate that these six attributes are the most basic and most impactful attributes that hospitals must manage strategically to improve their service quality and attract more medical consumers to their hospitals.
