This study aims for proposing improvement method for streetscape in a small and medium city of Korea. According to this purpose, in chapter 2, by inspecting conservation of street environment and streetscape, deduce the frame for analyzing streetscape in commercial district. In chapter 3, analyzing present condition and problems of selected streets in Pohang City, derive the primary factors to induce desirable streetscape through problems and their reason between the analyzed elements of building form. Analyzed elements are composed of floor elements, wall elements, ceiling elements. The detailed elements are pavement of road, street furniture, height of buildings, color and material of building and outdoor advertisements. In chapter 4, by conducting a questionnaire survey of pedestrians about street images -choosing impressive physical elements and the feeling of the street by the list of adjective of semantic differential scale- and the preference, propose the direction of improvement about streetscape in commercial district.

Torque Generator is a product which has function to transform hydraulic energy to mechanical energy of torque and rotating speed, and be used for direction change device of agricultural machines. This study proposes failure analysis and test analysis on torque generator and introduces a process that reliability of a product is enhanced by design improvement. And also it presents improvements of maximum output torque by modifying design and surface treatment. Lastly it verifies reliability improvement by analyzing test results of before and after life test.

안경원은 직접 소비자와 접촉하는 소매업으로써 안경원의 경영방침, 개선 및 발전 방향을 연구하고자 한다. 이러한 목적으로 안경원의 현재 상태와 문제점 조사하였다. 이에 따른 안경원의 현황과 경영관리상의 문제점을 제시하고 그 문제점의 개선방향을 제안하여 안경원 경영에 유용한 경영방법을 제시하고자 한다.

이 논문에서는 방송법 중 현행 국내제작애니메이션 판정지침의 내용과 개정중인 내용을 중심으로 연구하였다. 판정지침의 판정목적, 판정대상, 판정절차, 심사제한, 세부항목별판정기준, 의결절차 등을 분석하여 문제점을 제시하고 한국의 방송용 애니메이션창작을 진흥육성하기위한 판정지침의 개선안을 제시해보았다.

The premise for the study reflected in this article is the need to dispose of industrial waste, which is increasingly being used in the construction materials industry. Also, dynamically developing building industry demands attention of scientists and a direction of their works on improvement of the technology of carrying out construction works. Thus, the article is devoted to studying the influence of various chemical additives and fine fillers (industrial wastes) available in Kazakhstan on self-compacting concrete (SCC) mixtures and its rheological, physical, and technical properties. According to the studies, revealed the most efficient type of fine-dispersed filler and the most optimal type of chemical additive to enable obtaining a high-quality SCC mixture based on local raw materials. As a result, the use of microsilica in comparison with other industrial wastes resulted in a conglomerate with high compressive strength of SCC at early terms of curing. In terms of economic efficiency and quality improvement, the results of study are of practical value for the manufacturers of ready-mixed concrete operating in Kazakhstan.

This paper presents the change and contents of rural community development project by literature review. And this paper analyzes the results and problems of rural village in rural community development project. The aim of this study is to suggest the improvement method of rural community development project. Based on this study, mainly three results can be drawn as follows ; first, rural community development project must establish sustainability and locality to main direction of project. Second, this project demand new system and role of local government. And the third, this project are performed by residents, and an educational program and public information to inspire participation consciousness are necessary.

The development of idyllic housings, is in increasing growth in the suburban areas of Seoul, presents some critical problems such as in sufficient common open space and poor living condition, which are mainly caused by disorderly designed. Through comparing planning indices of idyllic housing, this paper aims to diagnose the condition and causes of those problems and to present some basic issues on improvement direction. The causes of problems can be summarized as the blind point in regulation system, the shortness of planning elements of a housing block which includes road systems and public facilities, and the mismatch of housing type with density, on which includes road systems and public facilities, and the mismatch of housing type with density, on which hereafter improvement suggestion should be focused. And this study suggest the simulation models on an ideal idyllic housing to be applied in our forthcoming idyllic housing of Korea, which can indeed become a generalized alternative to the livable idyllic housing.

The purpose of this study is to propose a direction for the improvement of biology teacher education based on the status survey of the biology teacher preparation curriculum and its implementation. The following Improvements in the biolgy teacher training are suggested from this study 1. Biology education courses should be established as a major in the biology teacher preparation program. 2. Biology teacher educators with major in biology education should be employed in all the departments of biology education. 3. The manpower for biology education should be cultivated. 4. The research and development for biology education should be promoted and supported. 5. The biology educators at the biology teacher education program should implement its curriculum with correct and clear understanding of the program purposes in mind.

In this paper, a Kalman filter approach for enhancing speech signals degraded by statistically independent additive nonstationary noise is developed. The autoregressive hidden markov model is used for modeling the statistical characteristics of both the clean speech signal and the nonstationary noise process. In this case, the speech enhancement comprises a weighted sum of conditional mean estimators for the composite states of the models for the speech and noise, where the weights equal to the posterior probabilities of the composite states, given the noisy speech. The conditional mean estimators use a smoothing spproach based on two Kalmean filters with Markovian switching coefficients, where one of the filters propagates in the forward-time direction with one frame. The proposed method is tested against the noisy speech signals degraded by Gaussian colored noise or nonstationary noise at various input signal-to-noise ratios. An app개ximate improvement of 4.7-5.2 dB is SNR is achieved at input SNR 10 and 15 dB. Also, in a comparison of conventional and the proposed methods, an improvement of the about 0.3 dB in SNR is obtained with our proposed method.

A 1-chip high quality binarizing VLSI image processor (which has 8 bit ADC. 6 bit flash ADC, 15K standard cell, and 1K word ROM) based on 10 MIPS 16 bit DSP is implemented for FAX. This image processor(IP) performs image pre-processing. image quality improvement in copying and sending mode, and mixed image processing based on the fuzzy theory. And smoothing in sub-scan direction is applied for normal receiving mode data so the received data is enhanced like fine mode data. Each algorithm is processed with the same type of image processing window and 2-D image processing is implemented with a 1-D line buffer. The fabricated chip is applied to a FAX machine and image quality improvement is verified.
