  • Recently, the internal combustion engines have focused on reducing both the CO2 emissions in order to cope with severe regulations for greenhouse effect. Therefore, various new technologies have been developed in many countries. Among them, the cooling system is spotlighted because it has great effect on fuel efficiency. However, the present engine cooling system is almost same as one of the 50 years ago. The needs for high performance and compact size make it important to improve engine cooling system, down-sizing and control method of coolant flow. Thus, low fuel consumption technology such as control and synthetic management of cooling system was necessary to satisfy with these needs. In this study, we applied electric thermostat to improve the fuel economy. The fuel consumption was compared after driving FTP-75 mode on both conditions which were with a conventional wax thermostat and with a electric thermostat. The coolant temperature of opening the electric thermostat is higher.

A Novel Energy Storage System based on Flywheel for Improving Power System Stability

  • In this paper, a novel flywheel energy storage device, called the flexible power conditioner, which integrates both the characteristics of the flywheel energy storage and the doubly-fed induction machine, is proposed to improve power system stability. A prototype is developed and its principle, composition, and design are described in detail. The control system is investigated and the operating characteristics are analyzed. The test results based on the prototype are presented and evaluated. The test results illustrate that the prototype meets the design requirement on power regulation and starting, and provides a cost-effective and effective means to improve power system stability.

  • While the crane system operate in port, one of main objective is to transport containers to the goal position as soon as possible. Because this is one of the biggest problem in terms of productivity of port, the container crane is operated by an expert operator until now. However recently an automatic control system with high performance is required to improve the performance of the crane system and to make high productivity. Therefore we developed an optimal controller based on Humoral Immune Algorithm with PID controller. The proposed system has a real time structure and can improve the performance such as anti-sway problem. Some computer simulations are implemented to assess the characteristics of the proposed controller.

제어봉 구동장치 제어기기 설계 및 검증에 관한 연구 (Study of Design and Verification for Control Rod Control System)

  • We have developed a digital control rod control system not only to improve its performance but also to improve its reliability and speed of response so that it can replace the old fashioned analog system. However, a new developed digital control system should be tested to prove the validity by using any prototype or mock-up before application. The reliability prediction and the reliability block diagram analysis methods were adopted to verify the reliability of the developed hardware. For the case of software, especially fur a new developed control algorithm it has been tested to prove performances and validation by using a dynamic simulator and mock-up of control rod drive mechanism altogether. Here we want to present some key factors regarding to the new developed digital system with some verification procedures.

Design and Implementation of an LLM system to Improve Response Time for SMEs Technology Credit Evaluation

  • This study focuses on the design of a GPT-based system for relatively rapid technology credit assessment of SMEs. This system addresses the limitations of traditional time-consuming evaluation methods and proposes a GPT-based model to comprehensively evaluate the technological capabilities of SMEs. This model fine-tunes the GPT model to perform fast technical credit assessment on SME-specific text data. Also, It presents a system that automates technical credit evaluation of SMEs using GPT and LLM-based chatbot technology. This system relatively shortens the time required for technology credit evaluation of small and medium-sized enterprises compared to existing methods. This model quickly assesses the reliability of the technology in terms of usability of the base model.

  • This paper describes the usefulness of new control method in HVDC link system which suffers from severe condition of weak ac system. The proposed control scheme is used for the positive feedback control which directly controlls dc current at dc link system. The object of this paper is to improve the transient response of HVDC link system in disturbances such as faults. To achieve this objective, digital time-domain simulations are employed by the Electro Magnetic Transient Program for DC system(EMTDC).

Cloud System Construction for Availability of University Information System

  • Managing students' data is a high prioritized duty of the university administration since most of the school affairs are proceed based on that database. Universities have invested in IT assets such as servers, storage, database, and networks. However, continuing investment in IT infrastructure is impossible due to limited budget and rapid changes in the educational environment. As cloud computing diffuse, universities are trying to reduce costs and improve efficiency by increasing server utilization, unlike when physically investing. We designed a hypothetical academic information management system based on cloud computing by utilizing the advanced server virtualization technology. This administrative cloud system allows universities to improve the availability of the system with low cost. The system demonstrates its flexibility of using data resources and immediacy of resumption.

의학교육에서의 교육정보시스템 활용 (Utilization of an Educational Information System for Medical Education)

  • The teaching and learning environment in medical schools is significantly different from that of other academic fields. An educational information system specifically designed for medical education could be an important solution for the unique context of medical education. In this study, the concept of the educational information system has been reviewed, and how such a system can be utilized effectively for medical education has also been explored. This paper also addresses how learning management systems for online learning could be made more effective through educational information systems. The application of flipped learning, which has been developing rapidly to improve teaching and learning, for medical education was also investigated. In conclusion, it was found that educational information systems could be a solution to various teaching and learning issues in medical schools. In particular, given that high performing students tend to enter medical schools, using educational information systems to improve the teaching and learning environment in medical school should be investigated further.

  • 산업현장에서 자동화시스템은 PLC(Program Logic Control)를 사용하여 시스템을 제어하고, 감지기에서 전달되는 정보로 시스템의 상태를 계측하고 생산성 향상을 위해 사용되고 있다. 본 연구에서 제안하는 진단 모니터링시스템은 릴레이모듈, 원칩프로세서모듈 그리고 컴퓨터 모니터링시스템으로 구성된다. 보조계전기의 고장을 실시간으로 파악하여 고장 난 시스템을 수리하고, 정상 가동에 소요되는 시간을 최소화하여 생산성을 향상시키고자 한다.

공기업 직무급여제도 전환 연구 (The Change of Job Wage System in Public Sector)

  • 직무급은 "업무를 수행하는 사람의 특징에 관계없이 직무의 가치에 따라 기본급이 결정되는 보상체계"이다. 2016년 근로자들의 정년이 60세 법제화의 영향으로 임금체계 개선을 시도하고 있다. 문재인정부에서는 전 정부에서 도입된 성과연봉제를 직무급제도로의 전환을 시도하고 있다. 즉, 연공급여에서 성과연봉도입, 그리고 직무급제도로의 전환이 이루어지고 있다. 본 연구는 최근 공공 기관들의 직무급여의 전환과 관련하여 사례기관을 조사 분석하였다. 즉, 성과연봉제 관련 직원들의 인식을 바탕으로 성과연봉제의 직무급제도로의 전환 관련 내용을 실증적으로 분석하였다. 연구결과 성과연봉제에 전반에 대한 부정적 인식이 강한 점과 직무급제도로의 전환 또한 반대가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 문제의 개선을 위해서는 성과연봉제와 직무급의 부정적 인식전환을 위한 노력, 성과 및 직무에 대한 공정한 평가기준 마련 등 관련 문제 개선, 직무급전환에 반대하는 직원 설득 등의 노력이 필요한 것으로 나타났다.
