  • This study aims to examine its problems, control and handling by analyzing Barcode System, one of the Material Handling which are currently often used in medical Industry, and improve the present unnecessary orders and handling to improve material control and handling related to medical supplies by applying these days appearing RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) System to material handling system. By this, it is expected that reduction of unnecessary inventory and exact information acquisition of goods will be possible. And by this, this study also aims to build and use closer cooperation system between hospitals and material system reducing time needed for material handling by controlling material flow effectively by taking advantage of them effectively.

The Performance Improvement Method using Decision Feedback Channel Estimation Scheme in PB/MC-CDMA System (PB/MC-CDMA 시스템에서 결정 귀한 채널 추정 기법을 이용한 성능 향상 방법)

  • In this paper, to improve the performance of PB/MC-CDMA system, we have researched about the decision feedback channel estimation method using the pilot symbol with data symbol. The PB/MC-CDMA system is able to obtain the improved BER by frequency diversity gain and frequency domain equalizer in the frequency selective fading channel. However, when it is not the estimating of channel exactly, it is degrading the performance of BER in the system for occurred the interference among users. To improve the performane system in the multi-user environment the proposed system is using the decision feedback to estimate channel using the channel estimated value of the first stage and second stage. The proposed system is evaluated by computer simulation. The proposed system is not only able to improve the performance of BER by decreasing the interference to each user, but also the proposed system is possible to reduce number of pilot symbol to estimate the channel. Therefore, it confirmed the proposed system improves the performance than the conventional system.

  • The Environmental Impact Assessment(EIA) System has grown up as an adult today in Korea(ROK). It seems that we have only focused on the specific and technical aspects of the assessment without looking at the whole concept during the past 20 years. Thus we have accomplished quantitative growth but not qualitative development at all. This is the right time we should reconstruct the concept and move into the step for qualitative development. It is expected that the corpulence of the EIA system would be enlarged due to the introduction of integrated impact assessment system. It is necessary to introduce a newly designed method into the EIA methodology and improve the Environmental Impact Assessment based on in order to accomplish and manage more effective EIA system. To the conclusion, it is highly necessary to formulate a wholly new system which can be useful to improve the existing various systems and to follow the fundamental concept of EIA.

Electrical Engineering Design Method Based on Neural Network and Application of Automatic Control System

  • The existing electrical engineering design method and the dynamic objective function in the application process of automatic control system fail to meet the unbounded condition, which affects the control tracking accuracy. In order to improve the tracking control accuracy, this paper studies the electrical engineering design method based on neural network and the application of automatic control system. This paper analyzes the structure and working mechanism of electrical engineering automation control system by an automation control model with main control objectives. Following the analysis, an optimal solution of controllability design and fault-tolerant control is figured out. The automatic control power coefficient is distributed based on an ideal control effect of system. According to the distribution results, an automatic control algorithm is based on neural network for accurate control. The experimental results show that the electrical automation control method based on neural network can significantly reduce the control following error to 3.62%, improve the accuracy of the electrical automation tracking control, thus meeting the actual production needs of electrical engineering automation control system.

  • This paper proposes the novel V/f control method to improve the stability of a V/f controlled induction motor drive system. The conventional V/f control method used in the proposed V/f control method is a vector-based method that is slightly different from the existing conventional V/f control method. The proposed control method uses a dynamic current compensator to improve the stability of a V/f controlled induction motor drive system. This proposed method is easy to implement and completely eliminates the motor oscillation phenomenon causing the instability of a V/f controlled induction motor drive system, especially when the system is driven near the resonant frequency in steady-state with light load. Additionally, this paper analyzes theoretically the instability of a V/f controlled induction motor drive system and shows the validity of the Proposed V/f control method through simulation and experimental results.

  • In this study, the hydraulic breaker system was analyzed and the analysis tool using GUI was developed. The analysis on the system with the accumulator was included. From the parametric analysis, the effects of each factor were revealed. Through the simulation with varying parameters, the method to improve the performance of the hydraulic breaker system was presented. The analysis tool will help a man without special knowledge about programming analyze the hydraulic breaker system. The result of this study will help improve the hydraulic breaker system in sight of Blow energy and Blows per minute.

  • The PCS system, which consists of precast concrete column and steel beam, has been developed. The system is expected to achieve the effectiveness in the constructability and improve the structural performance under earthquake. New types of joint system for the panel zon and column connection has been developed in order to improve the shear strength capacity and rigidity of the of the system. The cyclic seismic test recommended by ACI was conducted to verify the structural performance of the system. As a test results, it is observed that the system satisfy most of the requirements by ACI criteria.

  • An automatic guidance system based upon two position-measurement systems was designed to record where the tractor traveled and to guide the tractor along the predetermined path. An algorithm, using the kinematic behavior of tractor movement, was developed to determine the steering angle to reduce lateral position error. The algorithm was based upon constant travel speed, constant steering rate, and zero slip angles of the tractor wheels. The algorithm was evaluated through use of computer simulation and verified in field experiments. Results showed that the distance interval between position measurements was an important factor in guidance system performance. The position-measurement error of the guidance system must be less than 5 cm to be acceptably precise for field operations. An algorithm based upon a variable steering rate might improve the stability of the guidance system. More accurate measurement of tractor position and yaw angle, and faster error processing are required to improve the field performance of the guidance system.

  • The output voltage of Synchronous Generator is regulated constantly by field current control in excitation system. A synchronous generator is equipped with an automatic voltage regulator(AVR), which is responsible for keeping the constant output voltage under normal operating conditions about various levels. High frequency PWM converter (Current Mode Control Buck converter) type excitation system for synchronous generator is able to sustain output voltage level properly when the fault condition happened. This paper deals with the design and evaluation of the excitation system controller for a synchronous generator to improve the steady state and transient stability. The simulation and experimental results show that the proposed excitation system is improve the respons time by the AVR(automatic voltage regulator) of 50kW synchronous generator that is applied the current mode control excitation system.

  • In this paper, we present an application called Semantic Search which is built on different supporting technologies and is designed to improve traditional web searching. The Semantic Search is becoming crucial challenges on semantic web. The assessment and the implementation of the research on Semantic Search is not full-fledged whereas its research is highly interested. Also there exists only little research that offers a commercial use Semantic Search System that should be taken into the account in measuring the effectiveness of a Semantic Search System. This paper proposes an implementation and evaluation for the Semantic Search System. Firstly, we built Semantic Search System which includes a case of development and it's procedure. Secondly, We presented the measurement of our Semantic Search System's effectiveness. Finally, the evaluation offers useful implications to the researchers and practitioners to improve the research level to the commercial use.
