A nutrition education program for teachers and caregivers of the preschool children can be most effective when it is based on a comprehensive needs assessment dealing with sociodemographic factors, dietary habits, and nutrition. The purpose of the present study was to investigate current dietary habits and nutrition knowledge of the teachers and caregivers of the day-care centers. Two hundred forty two teachers and caregivers were administered a questionnaire which was designed to ascertain informations on sociodemographic data, dietary habits and nutrition knowledge. Dietary habits of the teachers were found to be significantly different by sociodemographic variables; breakfast skipping/meal irregularities (age, p=0.011); frequency of snacking (education level p=0.031); preference for salty taste(age, p = 0.000, marital status p=0.038); preference for sweet tarte (age p=0.009); preference for vegetables (income level p=0.050); frequency of eating out (age p=0.028, marital status p=0.001); frequency of coffee drinking (age p=0.019). Daycare center teachers' nutrition knowledge level was found to be less than adequate expecially on nutrients that are liable to be deficient in young growing children and their food sources. Proportions of the teachers who answered correctly to the questions on foods rich in vitamin A, iron content of milk, bioavailability of calcium in plant foods were as low as 20.2%-54.5%. The most frequently used sources of nutrition information were mass media such as TV, radio, newspaper and magazines. Only 2.9% of the subjects reported that they obtain nutrition information from health professionals such as nutritionists/dietitians, physicians, and nurses. These findings are applicable at the planning and implementation stages of various nutrition programs for the improvement of dietary habits and nutrition knowledge of the teachers and caregivers of the daycare centers. Further studies are needed to investigate the effects of teachers' dietary of habits and nutrition knowledge on food habits of young growing children.

This study was conducted to performance appraisal of Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDLs), especially in terms of performance on development & reduction plan and water quality status of unit watershed. Because load allocations for pollution sources were predicted redundantly by uncertainty of prediction, TMDLs master plan has been frequently changed to acquire load allocation for local development. Therefore, It need to be developed more resonable prediction techniques of water pollution sources to preventing the frequent change. It is suggested that the reduction amount have to be distributed properly during the planning period. In other words, it has not to be concentrated on the specific year (especially final year of the planning period). The reason why, if the reduction amount concentrate on the final year of the planning period, allotment loading amount could not be achieved in some cases (e.g., insufficiency of budget, extension of construction duration). If the development plan was developed including uncertain developments, it is necessary to be developed reduction plan considered with them. However, some of the plans in the reduction plan could not be accomplished in some case. Because, it is not considered financial abilities of local governments. Consequently, development plan must be accomplished to avoid uncertain developments, and to consider financial assistance to support the implementation of effective plan. Water quality has been improved in many unit watersheds due to the TMDLs, especially in geum river and yeongsang/seomjin river.

In this study this writer carried out survey and analysis on paving materials of children's playground for 40 apartment buildings with each of such apartment containing 100 households or more and which were built within last 15 years in Jeonju. As a result of analysis of such questionnaires this author could draw following conclusion. In the second half of 1990s pavement materials which were used mainly were sand and during first half of 2000s they were mixture of sand and rubber block and around 2010 they were rubber block or rubber chip pavements. Such change seemed to be a result of consideration of convenience for management and safety rather than in deference to diversity of children's outing places. Survey on the current status of pavement materials revealed need for directives by the main entity for management and their firm resolve for its implementation. And there was need for their coping with problems such as pressure of treading or lack of it or poor condition of drainage in case of sand and phenomena of pitting or dipping down, discoloring and poor drainage in case of rubber chips and rubber blocks and loosening of gaps between rubber blocks etc. Result of analysing status of usage disclosed that 50.4% of the respondents to questionnaires stated that they had experience of accidents. With regard to cause of such accident it was found that 47.5% of accidents were attributable to play facilities and 19.5% were due to paving (floor) materials thus it was disclosed that not only play facilities but also pavement materials had impact on safety for the children. Result of analysing level of satisfaction with pavement materials showed that pavement by rubber chips and blocks had higher level of satisfaction which was reflection of fear on cleanness of sand. In terms of preference rubber chip and rubber block pavements were highest and the next one was sand. Reason for such preference was based on concern with safety.
Recently, as the mandatory policy of zero energy building is promoted, policies / systems for transition to Zero Energy School are being promoted, but there is no method to systematically analyze and verify the results of energy saving activities for school buildings. For the study of energy performance verification methodology, the current status of related standards was referred to, and the case study of other methodologies was conducted to examine the tools that can analyze the performance in the field. In addition, this study analyzed the current status and characteristics of energy management through domestic school visits. In this paper, we presented various energy saving projects such as air conditioning and heating facilities, lighting, insulation, change operation behavior, and improve operation methods in new and existing school buildings, and M & V methods for verifying energy savings before and after implementation of energy conservation projects.
Since 1985, the Ministry of Environment has supported environmental education in schools through Environment Conservation Model School initiative. Selected elementary, middle, high schools and kindergartens were designated as model schools for environment conservation programs every 2 years to develop model cases that can be adopted at other schools to promote more structured and effective environmental education. These supporting programs played a central role in developing an environmental education model for formal schools and enhance the importance of environmental education in school curriculum. This study aims to evaluate the current statues of environment conservation model schools and support to environment conservation model school initiatives which have created basic framework to enable the continued development of environmental education. For the study, documents and reports from 1985 to 2005 were analyzed, which included operation guidelines for model schools, case studies, implementation reports along with the systematic analysis of documentations. Also this study included interviews and a survey with people responsible for running programs, and consultation processes with experts to address the current status and issues related to Environment Conservation Model School initiative. Based on the present status and issues, the recommendations for improving Environment Conservation Model School initiative were provided.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the status of the safety system and safety education in institutional foodservices in the Changwon and Masan areas. The survey was conducted from February 1 to March 31, 2009 via questionnaires that were sent to 300 dietitians, and 142 dietitians responded. It was determined that most of the safety managers were 'dietitians (87.1%)', whereas facilities/equipment managers consisted of 'dietitians (45.7%)', 'department of facilities management in the organization (36.4%)' and 'outsourced company of facilities management (17.9%)'. Out of the 11 safety practices, seven safety practices showed less than 50% of total implementation ratio, which meant that the safety systems were not functioning properly. Except for 'non-skid shoes (85.9%)', other safety equipment was seldom used. The survey respondents recognized that safety education was very necessary (4.47 points); however, they responded so-so (3.46 points) to the question of whether or not the actual frequency and time spent on safety education were enough. The average time spent on safety education was 28 minutes 11 seconds. Regarding the difficulties in performing safety education, 'not many safety education materials and media (3.44 points)', 'not many varieties in the subjects and contents for safety education (3.40 points)', and 'not much organizational support on safety education (3.33 points)' showed higher scores than 'lack of education time due to workload (3.20 points)'. The following were cited as education materials that should be developed as it is currently difficult to obtain relevant information and data: 'root causes of musculoskeletal injury and preventive measures (15.8%)', 'healthcare and disease preventive exercises for employees who do simple and repetitive works (14.9%)', and 'instruction on safe handling of chemicals (12.7%)'
After entering a convergence era, South Korea Government has enacted and announced the Standard Contract on the e-Learning Content Development Project, a year and eight months has passed. Nevertheless, there has been continued still the unjust and unreasonable contract practices issues raised by project owner in the e-Learning industry. This study investigated application status of the Standard Contract via FGI and questionnaires and suggested its improvement alternative. This study analyzed that the Standard Contract has not taken root at all in ordering of the e-Learning content development project and not reaped the effect. This study presented alternatives such as mandatory application of the Standard Contract, education and outreach, introduction of the monitoring system, certification system implementation, granting of additional points in the evaluation of agencies and CEO and etc. to that standard contract is settled as the government's intentions and objectives in the e-Learning industry field.

Defense industries which require high reliability need an optimized quality management system with well-planned implementation. And the government should examine the overall status of defense industries, then establish practical policies with a proper support plan in required areas to upgrade the quality management level of manufacturers. Thus, DTaQ developed the model for 2 years from 2014, which specialized in quality management level analysis for defense industries. And a survey has been undertaken with that model by DTaQ and Korea Research Center in 2016. The surveyed companies randomly sampled among those which have more than 30 employees and delivery history over past 3 years, and finally 106 defense industries were selected. This paper present survey method and indexes for survey of defense industry quality management level. The survey was conducted in the order of planning, data collection and data processing, and the validity and reliability of the data were verified to increase objectivity of survey results. The survey contents mainly consist of system quality and management quality. System quality includes Product Development Management, Production Operation Management, supply chain quality management, Safety & Environment Management and Reliability Management, on the other hand, management quality includes Strategic Leadership, Human Resource Management, Customer Market Management and Information & Knowledge Management. Thus this proposes the current overall quality management status of the 106 defense industries and shows level differences by company sizes and manufacturing sectors based on the result of survey. Specifically, this paper enables to track the areas which need prompt government support with the policy directions to make quality management level higher. Therefore, it is expected that this can be used as reference data in establishing quality policies for military supplies in the future.
The manufacturing system was used to communicate between controller and GUI system by RS232C. The controller is deal with processing the equipments such as cylinders, motors, sensors, and so on. The Gill system received the signal from actuator controller by direct communication ways, RS232C, and presented the data to user to analyze the all of status for manufacturing system. In this point, it is important that communication use the RS232C. The way is helpful to be able to reduce cost, have simple structure, and easily maintain the stable communication status. Otherwise, the way has some problem to loss signal or data under the high speed communication. So it needs to complement the communication process to without loss data. In this research, we made the communication algorithm and implement the process to reduce losing data when it send or receive the signal using RS232C between controller and manufacturing system.
Materials for nutrition education to promote nutrition intake and prevent diseases in elderly individuals were developed, nutrition education was provided to 46 elderly females for 12 weeks, and its effects on the body composition, blood profile, and nutritional quality of subjects were qualitatively analyzed. After the education program, the weight of subjects decreased from 56.7 kg to 56.0 kg (p<0.001), their body fat dropped from 20.8 kg to 19.6 kg (p<0.01), their body mass index (BMI) declined from $25.2kg/m^2$ to $24.9kg/m^2$ (p<0.01), and their percentage of body fat decreased significantly (p<0.05). On the other hand, blood sugar showed a significant increase from 131.6 mg/dl to 141.8 mg/dl (p<0.05). Overall, the percentage of nutrition intake rose. In particular, the estimated energy requirement increased from 89.3% to 99.5% (p<0.05). Further, the contrast ratio of recommended intake showed significant increases in protein (p<0.01), phosphorus (p<0.05), vitamin $B_2$ (p<0.05), vitamin $B_6$ (p<0.05), and niacin(p<0.001), and that of adequate intake showed a significant increase in sodium (p<0.05). The nutrient adequacy ratio (NAR) showed a significant increase only in niacin (p<0.05), and the index of nutritional quality (INQ) showed significant increases in protein (p<0.05) and niacin (p<0.001). After the nutrition education program, a qualitative analysis of nutrients consumed by subjects was conducted. The results show improvements across the board except for the deficient intake of calcium and folic acid, suggesting that the nutrition status of subjects changed in a positive direction through the program. The implementation of this program for elderly individuals in a continuous and repetitive manner is expected to facilitate their nutrition management.
