임상시험용 의약품의 안전성 정보보고를 위한 평가 등 관리방안 설문조사 연구 (A survey for Management of Drug Safety Evaluation System for Investigational Product)

  • Objective: To gather the opinions of hands-on workers for successful introduction of the Development Safety Update Report (DSUR) according to a five-year comprehensive plan for clinical trial development [Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, 2019]. Methods: We conducted a survey on considerations that industry stakeholders may have related to the enforcement of the DSUR. A questionnaire was distributed among pharmacovigilance specialists from 13 pharmaceutical companies in South Korea on June 4, 2020. The questionnaire comprised two sections: 1) current status of the Drug Safety Data Management System and 2) considerations on the implementation and management of the DSUR. Results: All respondents have agreed the introduction of DSUR is inevitable for regulatory harmonization and safety of trial subject. However, most respondents (85%) felt concern about additional workload with DSUR implementation. They answered that format and operation system of DSUR should be harmonized with those of international standards and authorities need to minimize double burden due to related report. Conclusion: All respondents asserted that domestic DSUR should be harmonized with International Council for Harmonisation of Technical Requirements for Pharmaceuticals for Human Use (ICH) E2F guidelines. Respondents from global companies also suggested regulatory authorities allow DSUR written in English to replace Korean version considering their deadline for submission. Moreover, every respondent agreed regulatory authorities need delicate effort when implementing mandatory submission of DSUR to ensure that even small pharmaceutical companies with no experience in DSUR can comply with the system.

중환자실 간호사가 인식한 병원 내 중환자 이송 현황 조사 (Intrahospital Transport of Critically Ill Patients: Critical Care Nurses' Perceptions)

  • Purpose : This study aimed to identify the status of intrahospital transport (IHT) of critically ill patients and provide baseline data to form recommendations for safer transport. Methods : Data were collected from 141 intensive care unit (ICU) nurses who attended national conferences between February and August, 2018. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and ANOVA, and post-hoc analysis was conducted with the Scheffé and Games-Howell tests. Results : Of the nurses surveyed, 61.7% answered that their workplace had a transport guideline. In terms of the experience of ICU nurses, 31.2% of respondents answered that they had received training on IHT. This result indicated that the degree of implementation of the guidelines for IHT was generally high, but some, including guidelines on personnel, equipment, and monitoring, were not. Guidelines of IHT were well observed when the institutes had specific guidelines for IHT of critically ill patients with specified transport grades, a scoring system to assess stability of a patient, a checklist and a protocol for action in case of problems, and when healthcare providers were provided with training. Conclusion : These results suggest that organized infrastructure, such as a transport guideline with transport grades, a checklist to improve the implementation of guidelines, and a protocol for coping with a problem, should be provided for safe transport. Additionally, effective education and evaluation to improve the competency of staff participating in the transport of patients will help reduce the occurrence of adverse events in intensive care transport in hospitals and promote patient safety.

안드로이드 기반 교육용 IoT 스마트팜 구현에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Implementation of an Android-based Educational IoT Smartfarm)

  • 최근 고령화로 인한 농촌인구의 감소, 생산량 감소, 해외 농산물 유입 등 경쟁 심화문제를 해결하기 위해 스마트팜 도입의 필요성이 점점 커지고 있으며 이에 따라 교육에 대한 필요성이 증가하고 있다. 본 논문은 농장의 스마트팜 시스템을 축소하여 실제 환경에서도 사용이 가능하도록 안드로이드 기반 교육용 IoT 스마트팜 구현에 관한 연구이다. 교육용 IoT 스마트팜을 이용하여 안드로이드 기반 교육이 실제 환경에서 적용이 가능함을 확인하기 위해 블루투스, 와이파이, 서버/클라이언트 통신 방식을 사용하여 자동모드와 수동모드로 실험을 수행하였다. 자동모드는 모든 데이터를 수신하여 실시간으로 현재 상태를 확인할 수 있었으며, 수동모드는 수신된 센서데이터를 이용하여 실시간으로 명령을 전송하여 원격제어하였다. 실험 결과, 각 통신 방식의 특성을 파악할 수 있었고 안드로이드 앱을 이용한 스마트팜 원격 모니터링 및 원격 제어가 가능함을 확인하였으며, 안드로이드 기반 스마트팜 교육이 실제 환경에서 적용이 가능하리라 사료된다.

위험도 기반 도로 모니터링 및 관리 시스템 구축 방안 (A Methodology on System Implementation for Road Monitoring and Management Based on Automated Driving Hazard Levels)

  • 자율주행시스템은 자율주행 센서, 판단 및 제어 알고리즘 등을 기반으로 스스로 자율주행할 수 있는 기능을 갖추고 있다. 자율주행의 안전성은 도로 네트워크의 운영 상태와 관련성이 높고 도로 인프라와의 협력이 필요하다. 자율주행의 안전한 운행을 위해서는 지속적으로 도로와 교통 조건이 적합한지를 모니터링 할 필요가 있다. 본 연구는 자율주행시스템의 ODD (Operational Design Domain) 특성에 따라 선정된 모니터링 항목을 관리할 수 있는 체계를 구축하기 위한 노드와 링크 체계를 제시하였다. 확장성을 고려하여 기존의 ITS 표준 노드링크 체계를 기반으로 하였으며, 모니터링 대상을 노드와 링크로 표출하는 방안을 제시하였다. 위험도를 5단계로 구분하고 관리하는 방안과 최적경로 탐색 및 통제 시 노드와 링크의 정보를 활용하는 방안을 제시하였다. 세종시를 대상으로 제시된 노드와 링크체계를 기반으로 한 시스템구축 사례를 소개하였다.

DEVELOPMENT OF A GIS-BASED GEOTECHNICAL INFORMATION ENTRY SYSTEM USING THE GEOTECHNICAL INVESTIGATION RESULT FORM AND METADATA STANDARDIZATION

  • In March 2007, Korea's Ministry of Construction & Transportation (MOCT) established "Guidelines on the Computerization and Use of Geotechnical Investigation Results," which took effect as official instructions. The 2007 Geotechnical Information DB Construction Project is underway as a model project for a stable geotechnical information distribution system based on the MOCT guidelines, accompanied by user education on the geotechnical data distribution system. This study introduces a geotechnical data entry system characterized by the standardization of the geotechnical investigation form, the standardization of metadata for creating the geotechnical data to be distributed, and the creation of borehole space data based on the world geodetic system according to the changes in the national coordinate system, to define a unified DB structure and the items for the geotechnical data entry system and to computerize the field geotechnical investigation results using the MOCT guidelines. In addition, the present operating status of the geotechnical data entry system and entry data processing statistics are introduced through an analysis of the model project, and the problems of the project are analyzed to suggest improvements. Education on, and the implementation of, the model project for the geotechnical data entry system, which was developed via the standardization of the geotechnical investigation results form and the metadata for institutions showed that most users can use the system easily. There were problems, however, including those related to the complexity of metadata creation, partial errors in moving to the borehole data window, partial recognition errors in the installation program for different computer operating systems, etc. Especially, the individual standard form usage and the specificity of the person who enters the geotechnical information for the Korea National Housing Corporation, among the institutions under MOCT, required partial improvement of the geotechnical data entry system. The problems surfaced from this study will be promptly addressed in the operation and management of the geotechnical data DB center in 2008.

항만 인프라 재해와 노후화 관리를 위한 디지털 트윈 적용 절차에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Procedure for Applying Digital Twin to Disaster and Aging Management of Port Infrastructure)

  • 우리나라 항만 인프라는 공용연수가 30년이 넘은 노후 항만시설물은 2019년 약 23%에서 2029년에는 47%로 증가하여 노후화가 빠르게 진행되고 있다. 오래된 기존의 항만은 경쟁력을 상실하고 항만 인프라의 발전을 저하하며 시설물에 대한 인적자원 기반 유지보수에 따른 인명사고가 증가한다. 이러한 문제를 디지털 트윈 기반의 체계적인 관리 기술 구축으로 해결하고자 한다. 본 연구는 항만 인프라의 재해와 노후화 현황과 스마트 항만의 사례를 살펴본 뒤 스마트 항만 기술이 반영된 디지털 트윈 구현 단계를 구체적으로 제시하고자 한다. 항만 인프라 연계 시스템을 분석하고 디지털 트윈 구현에 필수적인 시나리오를 작성하여 맵핑을 한다. 재해와 노후화 관리를 위한 3D 모델링과 시뮬레이션 데이터를 수집하여 디지털 트윈을 구현하며 항만 인프라에서 획득한 센싱 데이터, 영상 데이터 등의 데이터를 실시간으로 연동하여 상황별 항만 디지털 트윈 시뮬레이션 구현한다. 항만 인프라 재해와 노후화 관리를 위한 디지털 트윈 항만을 구현하는 경우 실시간 통합관제로 예지적인 항만 인프라 관리로 할 수 있을 뿐 아니라 재해에 관한 안전을 확보할 수 있다.

The Status of Teachers of Students with Intellectual Disabilities in Practicing Strategies for the Modification of Aggressive Behaviour in Saudi Arabia

  • This study examines teachers' implementation of strategies to modify the aggressive behavior of students with intellectual disabilities in Saudi Arabia, to determine the obstacles to their real-world execution. In addition, it presents potential approaches to overcome the obstacles to implementing strategies with this group of students. The research employed a qualitative design using semi-structured interviews as a data collection tool and applied a thematic analysis. The study population comprised 35 teachers of students with intellectual disabilities and the study sample numbered six teachers. The interviews were conducted via different methods: three by phone, two face-to face, and one using the Zoom platform. The results revealed inadequate understanding among teachers of intellectual disability and behaviour modification strategies, and this affected their capacity to develop plans that were compatible with the needs of students with intellectual disability. The findings also identified multiple obstacles that impede teachers' implementation of strategies to modify aggressive behaviour among students with intellectual disabilities; the most important being the lack of input from a psychological specialist when developing programs to modify aggressive behaviour. In general, it is apparent that programs for modifying aggressive behaviour are neither structured nor complementary, due to the scarcity of administrators with sufficient knowledge and familiarity with the characteristics and personalities of students with intellectual disabilities. This study presents several recommendations, the most important of which is that teachers of students with intellectual disability should develop themselves through training courses to enable them to deal with these students and create treatment plans that include strategies and clear steps to modify the aggressive behaviour of students with intellectual disabilities. To support teachers, it is also necessary to remove the obstacles facing education centres by providing financial support to create an environment in which they can access the required devices and equipment in their classes.

ROS 기반 지능형 무인 배송 로봇 시스템의 구현 (Implementation of ROS-Based Intelligent Unmanned Delivery Robot System)

  • 본 논문에서는 Robot Operating System(ROS) 기반의 모바일 매니퓰레이터(Manipulator)를 이용한 무인 배송 로봇 시스템을 구현하고 시스템 구현을 위해 사용된 기술에 대해 소개한다. 로봇은 엘리베이터를 이용해 건물 내부에서 자율주행이 가능한 모바일 로봇과 진공 펌프를 부착한 Selective Compliance Assembly Robot Arm(SCARA)-Type의 매니퓰레이터로 구성된다. 로봇은 매니퓰레이터에 부착된 카메라를 이용하여 이미지 분할과 모서리 검출을 통해 배송물을 들어올리기 위한 위치와 자세를 결정할 수 있다. 제안된 시스템은 스마트폰 앱 및 ROS와 연동된 웹서버를 통해 배송 현황을 조회하고 로봇의 실시간 위치를 파악할 수 있도록 사용자 인터페이스를 가지고 있으며, You Only Look Once(YOLO)와 Optical Character Recognition(OCR)을 통해 배송 스테이션에서 배송물과 주소지를 인식한다. 아울러 4층 건물 내부에서 진행한 배송 실험을 통해 시스템의 유효성을 검증하였다.

A Study on the Awareness of Dental Hygienists on Maternity Protection and Work-Family Balance Assistance Policy

  • Background: This study investigated the awareness and utilization of maternity protection and work-family balance support policies among dental hygienists in dental hospitals and clinics. Methods: We surveyed 200 dental hygienists. Twenty-two who did not meet the inclusion criteria were excluded, leaving 178 participants for analysis. The self-administered 48-item questionnaire gathered information on demographics, workplace details, policy awareness, government knowledge, and suggestions for improvement. Results: Awareness of maternity and family support programs significantly differed with age, marital status, number of children, and clinical experience. Dental hygienists in general hospitals and university hospitals reported greater ease of utilizing these policies compared to those in dental clinics. Among the participants, 27.7% took pre- and post-maternity leave, 26.6% took parental leave, 16.9% had reduced working hours during pregnancy, 15.8% had reduced working hours during childhood,and 8.5% during family leave. To promote program uptake, participants suggested mandatory implementation across workplaces (68.4%), expanded support for substitute workers (48.6%), and increased education and promotion of government support (42.4%). Conclusion: While most dental hygienists were aware of the Maternity Protection and Work-Family Balance Assistance Policy, utilizing it proved challenging due to several factors. Organizational policies or practices may not fully implement this policy, while workplace culture could discourage its use. Unfair treatment and the lack of available substitutes further hindered access. To prevent career interruptions for dental hygienists due to pregnancy, childbirth, childcare, and family care, and to maintain career continuity, the dental community and government should establish a multifaceted social support system. This system should prioritize several key areas: strengthening policy promotion, fostering a family-friendly atmosphere, improving management and supervision of policy implementation and developing a robust support system for substitute personnel.

철강 제조 MES의 마이크로서비스 아키텍처 적용 구축사례 연구 (A Case Study on Implementing Microservice Architecture in Steel Manufacturing MES)

  • Recently, the application of microservice architecture has been increasing as information systems have shifted to cloud environments. The purpose of this paper was to analyze the case of applying microservice architecture to MES in the manufacturing field, summarize the results of how it was applied in practice, and find out the effects of the application. Based on the improvement project by applying microservice architecture to the existing steel manufacturing MES, 11 principles of microservice application were derived through literature research, and the implementation process and results were summarized according to these principles. In addition, through a comparison of systems in the service industry and the manufacturing industry, we investigated why the application of microservices was more active in the service industry and whether the application in the manufacturing industry can be expected to have the same effect. We also evaluated the results and changes in the overall system after implementation. In particular, we analyzed the SR (Service Request) processing status of users' requests for system changes and operators' requests to see how much the lead time was reduced. The results showed that 8 out of 11 microservice application principles were properly implemented according to the principles, but the remaining 3 were not applicable due to practical difficulties and organizational circumstances. Despite not following all of the principles, the project was able to be implemented without any problems, and the most noticeable change as a result of the microservices architecture was that the lead time was reduced by 9 days compared to the previous system. This proves that it is possible to quickly adapt to customer requirements, and it also proves that the system is more flexible and scalable than the existing monolithic system.
