The National Nutrition Survey in Japan (NNS-J) started in 1945 and has provided information on dietary intake and health status of Japanese citizens to the public and policymakers for more than half a century. We summarized several relevant issues on the survey in this report : the current framework of the NNS-J in accordance with the Nutrition Improvement Law, utilization of the survey for nutrition and health policy in Japan, the Health Promotion Law recently enacted in 2003, the national plan for health promotion and disease prevention (Health Japan 21), and possible measures to improve the survey systems under the new law. We also mentioned implementation structures of regional health and nutrition surveys, because the Health Promotion Law designates an active role of local governments on promoting health for their citizens, which will enhance the needs for appropriate assessment of health and nutrition conditions in each community as well as the monitoring at the national level. Satellite Operations Subsystem in the Mission Control Element provides real-time monitoring of the satellite status and transmits telecommands to control the satellite during the contact time. This paper presents the dynamic fault management strategy of Satellite Operations Subsystem designed to minimize data loss using software and hardware redundancy for upgrade safety and reliability of Satellite Operations Subsystem. Also this paper describes the performance test method to prove justification of implementation and analyzes the results.

This paper describes a sensor-based remote monitoring technique for ship block assembly and implementation of a prototype system. Instead of manual processing or optical measuring devices, the proposed approach attaches some distance-measuring sensor nodes to ship blocks. Remote monitoring of the assembly status makes it possible to minimize marginal errors during ship block assembly process, and helps efficient ship building.

차세대 비휘발성 메모리(Non-Volatile RAM, 이후 NVRAM)의 사용이 현실화 되면서 이를 활용한 저장 장치의 성능 개선 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 NVRAM을 이용한 플래시 파일 시스템의 성능 향상 방법을 제안한다. 우선 자주 갱신 되는 정보를 NVRAM에 유지시켜 플래시 메모리의 덮어쓰기(overwrite)로 인한 성능 저하 문제를 개선한다. 또한 NVRAM에 파일시스템의 메타 정보 위치를 유지하여 파일 시스템을 마운트할 때 요구되는 플래시 메모리의 탐색 공간을 줄인다. 실험 결과 마운팅 시간이 줄고 플래시 메모리의 접근 횟수가 감소함을 확인하였다.

The survey of research and development (R&D) in science and technology (S&T) covers the current status of R&D activities in S&T in Korea, and provides a basis for decision making regarding S&T policy. Continuous improvement of the survey is widely needed to present reliable national basic statistics. Therefore, the purpose of the study is two-fold: to introduce sampling survey method in industrial sector and to make statistical technique to deal with non-response data from industrial sector. To these ends, first, case studies of the United States and Japan are illustrated. A new sampling design for the R&D survey is proposed and implementing stratified random sampling scheme is suggested. Moreover, statistical analysis of the non-response data is dealt with. Based on several screening criteria, we develop a new imputation method suitable for the R&D survey and also provide more detailed implementation plan. Various solutions to a problem arising from non-response item are also presented. Finally, some implications of the results are discussed.

Purpose - Product purpose for optimal values solution for synthesize evaluative criteria and optimize product design values. In addition, product designer has to consider the product design to conform to project, laws and regulations, authentication, from the product design stage. Research design, data, methodology - How to use an evaluative criteria model's imprecise market data by evaluative criteria research design; product mapping relationships between design parameters and customer requirements using product predicted value method. An evaluative criteria model and their associated criteria status, product evaluative criteria model of results. Results - Therefore, after the enterprise product design project analysis, effectiveness and the customer degree of satisfaction must be appraised to obtain the maximum value for the benefit on behalf of the implementation goals, the promotion product level and market competition strength. Conclusions - In multi criterion decision making (MCDM), using its searching software capacity to obtain the optimal solution.

I estimate the non-market effects of implementing five-day workweek controlling for the individual-job fixed effect. I find that the implementation of five-day workweek has improved an individual's subjective health status, increased the frequency of exercises, increased the probability to get education or training other than job training, improved subjective quality of life, increased spending for leisure and cultural activities, and improved an individual's satisfaction with the job and the employer. Much of the effects are due to reduction not of working hours but of working days.

With the proliferation of smart devices, applications under ubiquitous environment must provide transparent access to computer resources. However, existing u-Logistics systems can not properly react on such requirements, because the status information of objects is input only in fixed milestones by system's operators. In this paper, we introduce an event notification service suitable for u-Logistics environment. The system is based on RFID infrastructure and provides real-time tracking by combining the event of objects with location information received from GPS satellites. The system also provides a graphical user interface based on a state/transition approach, making it easy that clients facilitate definition of profile, and uses XML structure to more easily represent and exchange events.

In this paper, we suggest and implement an internet survey system cooperating the randomized response technique(RRT). We compare it with the direct survey. RRT is an indirect survey method to get true information from the respondent who is conceived to have sensitive character without revealing his/her status. We implement our system(method) based a data-base system, so it common all kind of data obtained through internet surveys. This system also can be used in spot survey independently.

In this paper, we have developed a performance analysis tool for communication networks called COMNAS. COMNAS analyses the performance of wide area networks such as Korea Educational Network and Korea Research Environment Open Network which include local area networks such as Ethernet and Token Ring. COMNAS consists of model constructor, simulation implementor, output analyzer and user interface. Attributes of communication networks for modeling either have default values or are entered by user as object units, and implementation of simulation is automatically proceeded by user interface. Ouput results obtained by COMNAS are the status of node, link and entire network such as mean message transmission delay, throughput, utilization, and so on, and they can be selectively obtained upon the request of the user.
