변형률 게이지 측정원리를 이용한 충격 하중 센서의 개발 및 암석의 동적 압열 인장 실험에 적용 (Development of the Strain Measurement-based Impact Force Sensor and Its Application to the Dynamic Brazilian Tension Test of the Rock)

  • 발파 하중에 대한 암석의 동적 응답 특성을 획득하기 위해서는, 내충격 고감도의 충격하중센서가 필요하다. 이러한 충격 하중 센서는 석영(quartz) 하중셀, 압전소자(piezoelectric element), 변형률 게이지를 적용하여 제작되고 있으나, 석영 및 압전소자의 경우 고가이기 때문에, 충격하중가압시험과 같이 압력 센서의 손상이 빈번한 경우에는 제약이 따르게 된다. 본 연구에서는 원통형 압축셀에 변형률 게이지 측정원리를 적용한 내충격 고감도 하중센서를 개발하였다. 개발된 하중 센서는 Nonex Rock Cracker (NRC) 구동 고속충격 하중 장치를 이용한 화강암 동적 압열 인장 실험에 적용하여 동적하중이력의 측정에 적용되었다. 그 결과, NRC 구동 고속충격하중장치는 암석 강도의 중간 변형률 속도 의존성 연구에 적용 가능한 것으로 파악되었다.

미국·중국·한국 거시경제변수가 한국 주식수익률 및 변동성 지수 변화율에 미치는 영향 분석 (Analysis of the Impact of US, China, and Korea Macroeconomic Variables on KOSPI and VKOSPI)

  • Purpose - This article analyzes the impact of macroeconomic variables of the United States, China, and Korea on KOSPI and VKOSPI, in that United States and China have a great influence on Korea, having an export-driven economy. Design/methodology/approach - The influence of US, China, and Korea interest rates, industrial production index, consumer price index, US employment index, Chinese real estate index, and Korea's foreign exchange reserves on KOSPI and VKOSPI is analyzed on monthly basis from Jan 2012 to Aug 2023, using multifactor model. Findings - The KOSPI showed a positive relationship with the U.S. industrial production index and Korea's foreign exchange reserves, and a negative relationship with the U.S. employment index and Chinese real estate index. The VKOSPI showed a positive relationship with the Chinese consumer price index, and a negative relationship with the U.S. interest rates, and Korean foreign exchange reserves. Next, dividing the analysis into two periods with the Covid crisis and the analysis by country, the impact of US macroeconomic variables on KOSPI was greater than Chinese ones and the impact of Chinese macroeconomic variables on VKOSPI was greater than US ones. The result of the forward predictive failure test confirmed that it was appropriate to divide the period into two periods with economic event, the Covid Crisis. After the Covid crisis, the impact of macroeconomic variables on KOSPI and VKOSPI increased. This reflects the financial market co-movements due to governments' policy coordination and central bank liquidity supply to overcome the crisis in the pandemic situation. Research implications or Originality - This study is meaningful in that it analyzed the effects of macroeconomic variables on KOSPI and VKOSPI simultaneously. In addition, the leverage effect can also be confirmed through the relationship between macroeconomic variables and KOSPI and VKOSPI. This article examined the fundamental changes in the Korean and global financial markets following the shock of Corona by applying this research model before and after Covid crisis.

고충격 미소가속도계의 압저항-구조 연성해석 및 최적설계 (Piezoresistive-Structural Coupled-Field Analysis and Optimal Design for a High Impact Microaccelerometer)

  • A micromachined silicon accelerometer capable of surviving and detecting very high accelerations(up to 200,000 times the gravitational acceleration) is necessary for a high impact accelerometer for earth-penetration weapons applications. We adopted as a reference model a piezoresistive type silicon micromachined high-shock accelerometer with a bonded hinge structure and performed structural analyses such as stress, modal, and transient dynamic responses and sensor sensitivity simulation for the selected device using piezoresistive-structural coupled-field analysis. In addition, structural optimization was introduced to improve the performances of the accelerometer against the initial design of the reference model. The design objective here was to maximize the sensor sensitivity subject to a set of design constraints on the impact endurance of the structure, dynamic characteristics, the fundamental frequency and the transverse sensitivities by changing the dimensions of the width, sensing beams, and hinges which have significant effects on the performances. Through the optimization, we could increase the sensor sensitivity by more than 70% from the initial value of $0.267{\mu}V/G$ satisfying all the imposed design constraints. The suggested simulation and optimization have been proved very successful to design high impact microaccelerometers and therefore can be easily applied to develop and improve other piezoresistive type sensors and actuators.

충격흡수용 고분자재료의 이용이 Implant 초기안정성과 동적거동에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of a Shock-Absorbable Polymer(Chitosan) on the Initial Stability and Dynamic Behavior of Dental Implant)

  • Dental implant has been increasingly used to recover the masticatory unction of tooth. It has been well known that the success of dental implant is heavily dependent on initial stability and long-term osseointegration due to optimal stress distribution in the surrounding bones. The role of periodontal ligament, removed during operation, is to absorb impact force and to distribute them to alveolar bone. or this reason, the study for artificial periodontal ligament has become an important issue in this field. In this study, chitosan was coated on dental implant or the purpose of replacing the role of intact periodontal ligament. The results by experiment and FEM analysis showed : I) Initial stability of dental implant was significantly increased(35%) when the implant was coated with chitosan. II) The coated implant showed higher impact absorption, more even stress distribution and lower stress magnitude under impact force than uncoated implant. Accordingly, the micro-fracture of the surrounding bones due to impact force would be lessened by chitosan coating on dental implant.

  • 2020년에 발생한 글로벌 펜데믹 현상은 전 세계에 큰 경제 충격을 주었으며, 그 충격은 특히 유동인구 및 관광산업에 영향을 많이 받는 자영업자들에게 더 크게 작용을 하였다. 이 문제를 해결하기 위해 각 국가에서는 긴급재난지원 정책을 실행하는데, 그 기준과 범위를 선정하는 것에 어려움이 존재하였다. 위 문제를 해결하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 다음의 연구를 진행하였다. 첫째, 글로벌 펜데믹이 지역경제에 미치는 영향을 분석한 후, 그 충격을 직관적으로 설명할 수 있는 지표를 정의하였다. 둘째, 정의된 지표를 활용하여 최적의 예산정책을 지급하는 선형 모형을 수립하였다, 제시된 모형은 정부에서 쉽고 빠르게 고려할 수 있는 경제 충격지표와 최적의 해를 제시한다. 마지막으로 제안된 연구모형의 한계점과 시사점에 대해 소개한다.

Analysis of Risk Factors for Postoperative Morbidity in Perforated Peptic Ulcer

  • Purpose: Emergency operations for perforated peptic ulcer are associated with a high incidence of postoperative complications. While several studies have investigated the impact of perioperative risk factors and underlying diseases on the postoperative morbidity after abdominal surgery, only a few have analyzed their role in perforated peptic ulcer disease. The purpose of this study was to determine any possible associations between postoperative morbidity and comorbid disease or perioperative risk factors in perforated peptic ulcer. Materials and Methods: In total, 142 consecutive patients, who underwent surgery for perforated peptic ulcer, at a single institution, between January 2005 and October 2010 were included in this study. The clinical data concerning the patient characteristics, operative methods, and complications were collected retrospectively. Results: The postoperative morbidity rate associated with perforated peptic ulcer operations was 36.6% (52/142). Univariate analysis revealed that a long operating time, the open surgical method, age (${\geq}60$), sex (female), high American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) score and presence of preoperative shock were significant perioperative risk factors for postoperative morbidity. Significant comorbid risk factors included hypertension, diabetes mellitus and pulmonary disease. Multivariate analysis revealed a long operating time, the open surgical method, high ASA score and the presence of preoperative shock were all independent risk factors for the postoperative morbidity in perforated peptic ulcer. Conclusions: A high ASA score, preoperative shock, open surgery and long operating time of more than 150 minutes are high risk factors for morbidity. However, there is no association between postoperative morbidity and comorbid disease in patients with a perforated peptic ulcer.

염분 노출에 따른 Chironomus riparius의 성장지연과 Heat shock protein 70 유전자 발현 (Gene Expression of Chironomus riparius Heat Shock Protein 70 and Developmental Retardation Exposure to Salinity)

  • 기후변화로 잦아진 강우에 의해 염분 환경에 유입되는 담수생물의 영향을 파악해 보고자 하였다. 담수의 오염지표생물인 깔따구과의 실내 실험종인 C. riparius를 대상으로 염분 노출에 따른 스트레스 반응으로 생존율과 탈피율, 성장기간, 하순기절 기형을 분석하였고, 분자생물학적으로 스트레스 분자마커로 연구가 이루어진 HSP70 유전자 발현을 측정하였다. C. riparius의 생존율은 노출시간에 따라 감소하였으며 15 psu에서 4일이 경과하면 생존개체가 관찰되지 않았다. C. riparius의 pupation과 emergence는 15 psu 이상에서는 보이지 않았고 탈피의 성공은 10 psu에서 20% 이하였다. 또한 C. riparius의 성장지연은 pupation과 emergence 기간에서 잘 반영되어, 대조군과 5 psu에 비해 10 psu에서 4일이 늦어졌다. 염분 노출 96시간 후 관찰한 C. riparius 하순기절 형태 이상은 10 psu와 15 psu에서 소수 관찰되었다. C. riparius HSP70 유전자 발현은 대조군에 비해 5, 10 psu에서 약 2.5~4배 이상 발현량이 크게 증가하였다. 따라서 염분은 담수생물에게 매우 큰 스트레스를 제공하는 원인물질로 유해물질과 유사한 생태독성학적인 반응과 분자지표 반응을 보여주었다.

  • 충돌현상을 재현할 수 있는 이차원 파전파 컴퓨터 프로그램을 개발하였다. 불연속인 충격전면에 연속성을 부여하기 위한 기법으로 Von Neumann과 Ritchmyer가 제안한 인공점성을 수치해석시 도입하였다. 본 연구에서는 충돌물체의 재료모델로서 Von-Mises 항복함수를 이용한 탄소성 모델을 사용하였다. 개발된 컴퓨터 프로그램을 검증하기 위하여 충격을 가하는 물체와 받는 물체로 구성된 충돌현상을 재현하였다. 본 연구에서 개발된 컴퓨터 프로그램은 이차원 평면요소를 사용하였기 때문에 재현된 충돌해석 결과를 3차원에서 발생하는 실제값과 정량적으로 비교할 수는 없었으나 충돌실험시 실제로 발생하는 파괴현상을 정성적으로 분석할 수 있었다.

  • The HDD (hard disk drive) using Load/Unload (L/UL) technology includes the benefits which are increased areal density, reduced power consumption and improved shock resistance than those of contact-start-stop (CSS). Dynamic L/UL has been widely used in portable hard disk drive and will become the key technology for developing the small form factor hard disk drive. Main design objectives of the L/UL mechanisms are no slider-disk contact or no media damage even with contact during L/UL, and a smooth and short load and unload process. In this paper, we focus on state matrix, pitch static attitude (PSA), roll static attitude (RSA), loading/unloading contour (LC/ULC), impact force and contact. Stability of slider is mainly determined by PSA and RSA. State matrix by PSA and RSA is also important indicator. Therefore we analyze state matrix of SFF HDD suspension through the LC/ULC.

노인 낙상 후 충격량 측정 및 기립여부 판단 시스템 구현 (Development of fall Detection System by Estimating the Amount of Impact and the Status of Torso Posture of the Elderly)

  • In this study, we proposed the system that calculates the algorithm with an accelerometer signal and detects the fall shock and it's direction. In order to gather the activity patterns of fall status and attach on the subject's body without consciousness, the device needs to be small. With this aim, it is attached on the right side of subject's waist. With roll and pitch angle which represent the activity of upper body, the fall situation is determined and classified into the posture pattern. The impact is calculated by the vector magnitude of accelerometer signal. And in the case of the elderly keep the same posture after fall, it can distinguish the situation whether they can stand by themselves or not. Our experimental results showed that 95% successful detection rate of fall activity with 10 subjects. For further improvement of our system, it is necessary to include tasks-oriented classifying algorithm to diverse fall conditions.
