자동순항제어기에 의한 안전도 향상 효과 분석 (Evaluation of the Safety impact by Adaptive Cruise Control System)

  • This paper discusses the evaluation of the safety impact of the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) system in Korea. To evaluate the safety impact, this paper suggests an analysis method by using the test scenario and field operational test data. The test scenario is composed to represent the main component factor of the ACC system and ACC related accident situation such as rear-end collision, lane-change, and road-curvature, etc. Also, from the field operation test data, the system's potential to increase the safety can be measured ideally. Besides, field operational testdata was used to revise the expected safety impact value as Korean road conditions. By using the proposed evaluation method, enhanced safety impact of the ACC system can be estimated scientifically.

수질자료의 추세분석을 위한 비모수적 통계검정에 관한 연구 (A Study of Non-parametric Statistical Tests to Analyze Trend in Water Quality Data)

  • This study was carried out to suggest the best statistical test to analyze the trend in monthly water quality data. Traditional parametric tests such as t-test and regression analysis are based on the assumption that the underlying population has a normal distribution and regression analysis additionally assumes that residual errors are independent. Analyzing 9-years monthly COD data collected at Paldang in Han River, the underlying population was found to be neither normal nor independent. Therefore parametric tests are invalid for trend detection. Four Kinds of nonparametric statistical tests, such as Run Test, Daniel test, Mann-Kendall test, and Time Series Residual Analysis were applied to analyze the trend in the COD data, Daniel test and Mann-Kendall test indicated upward trend in COD data. The best nonparametric test was suggested to be Daniel test, which is simple in computation and easy to understand the intuitive meaning.

  • Hydraulic breaker attached excavator generally used for the destroying and disassembling of buildings, crashing road pavement, breaking rocks at quarry and etc. The developed breaker are determined their own destructive force and number of impact by the input hydraulic flow rate and pressure than the operating conditions, In this study, the characteristics of pressure variation in closed vessel is invested for testing the impact energy of hydraulic breaker. To test the impact energy, the test system is designed as a mechanism consisted with a hydraulic cylinder, main base, pressure sensor, LVDT, data acquisition system and etc.. The developed test system is applied to measure the impact energy for hydraulic breaker. The proposed testing method could be applied for conventional impact test and the control system evaluation for hydraulic breakers.

Practical issues in signal processing for structural flexibility identification

  • Compared to ambient vibration testing, impact testing has the merit to extract not only structural modal parameters but also structural flexibility. Therefore, structural deflections under any static load can be predicted from the identified results of the impact test data. In this article, a signal processing procedure for structural flexibility identification is first presented. Especially, practical issues in applying the proposed procedure for structural flexibility identification are investigated, which include sensitivity analyses of three pre-defined parameters required in the data pre-processing stage to investigate how they affect the accuracy of the identified structural flexibility. Finally, multiple-reference impact test data of a three-span reinforced concrete T-beam bridge are simulated by the FE analysis, and they are used as a benchmark structure to investigate the practical issues in the proposed signal processing procedure for structural flexibility identification.

  • 본 논문에서는 복합적층판의 저속충격실험을 통하여 충격력과 충격거동의 관계를 확인하였다. 또한 육안으로 확인하기 어려운 손상역영을 탐지하기 위하여 비파괴검사인 c-scan을 이용하였다. CAI실험을 통하여 저속충격을 받은 복합적층판의 압축강도를 측정하였다. 저속충격실험, 비파괴검사, CAI실험을 통한 복합적층판의 저속충격거동 특성을 확인하기 위해 몬테카를로 시뮬레이션을 적용하여 가상의 확률분포를 나타냈다. 가시화된 통계적 확률분포를 이용하여 주요변수들을 비교 및 분석하였다.

정면충돌 시험결과와 딥러닝 모델을 이용한 흉부변형량의 예측 (Prediction of Chest Deflection Using Frontal Impact Test Results and Deep Learning Model)

  • In this study, a chest deflection is predicted by introducing a deep learning technique with the results of the frontal impact of the USNCAP conducted for 110 car models from MY2018 to MY2020. The 120 data are divided into training data and test data, and the training data is divided into training data and validation data to determine the hyperparameters. In this process, the deceleration data of each vehicle is averaged in units of 10 ms from crash pulses measured up to 100 ms. The performance of the deep learning model is measured by the indices of the mean squared error and the mean absolute error on the test data. A DNN (Deep Neural Network) model can give different predictions for the same hyperparameter values at every run. Considering this, the mean and standard deviation of the MSE (Mean Squared Error) and the MAE (Mean Absolute Error) are calculated. In addition, the deep learning model performance according to the inclusion of CVW (Curb Vehicle Weight) is also reviewed.

Macroeconomic and Bank-Specific Variables and the Liquidity of Jordanian Commercial Banks

  • This study aimed to explore the impact of macroeconomic (Real GDP growth (GDPG), Inflation rate (INF)) and bank -specific variables (profitability (ROA), capital adequacy (CADEQ), non-performing loans (NPL), deposit growth (DEPG)) on the liquidity (lIQ) of 13 listed Jordanian commercial banks for the period 2011-2018. Panel data analysis, Pooled least square, fixed effects model and random effects model, Lagrange multiplier test, and Hausman test were used. The random effects model output shows that, macroeconomic variables have a significant impact on Jordanian commercial banks liquidity since inflation has a positive impact while GDPG has a negative impact on banks (LIQ). On the other hand among the bank-specific variables capital adequacy and deposit growth have a positive significant impact on banks (LIQ), while (NPL) and (SIZE) have a negative significant impact on Jordanian commercial banks liquidity. But ROA has a negative insignificant impact on (LIQ). The findings of the study suggest that commercial banks departments need to pay attention to the economic and internal variables of banks in order to maintain acceptable levels of liquidity.

초대형 유압브레이커 개발 (Development of Extra-large Hydraulic Breaker)

  • 100톤급 굴삭기에 장착할 수 있는 초대형 유압브레이커 개발을 수행하였다. 유압브레이커 설계에 앞서 타격에너지, 분당 타격수 등의 성능을 예측할 수 있는 유압브레이커 해석 방법에 대해 연구하였다. 해석 결과를 바탕으로 초대형 유압브레이커의 설계 및 제작이 이루어졌으며, 유압브레이커가 성공적으로 작동함을 확인하였다. 실제 유압브레이커 작동 시 타격에너지와 분당 타격수를 측정하여, 해석 결과와 비교하였다. 분당 타격수 해석 결과는 큰 오차 없이 실험 결과를 잘 예측하였지만, 타격에너지 해석 결과는 실제 실험 결과와 매우 큰 차이가 나타남을 확인하였다. 초대형 유압브레이커를 성공적으로 개발하였으며, 향후 마찰, 유압회로 등을 고려하여 타격에너지 해석 방법을 보완할 예정이다.

  • 도자기 컵의 결함여부를 판정하는 간편한 방법으로 실내에서 충격 시험으로 추정한 유사잔향시간을 사용하는 방법을 제시하였다. 정상적인 도자기 컵과 미세한 균열이 있는 컵에 대하여 충격 시험을 하여 발생하는 충격음에서 구한 슈레더 곡선에서 잔향 시간을 추정하였다. 충격 가진 막대의 종류와 가진 위치, 경계 조건에 따라 잔향 시간을 추정하였고 추정된 잔향 시간으로부터 도자기 컵의 결함 유무를 효과적으로 파악할 수 있는지를 기술하였다

차량 측면도어 임팩트 빔의 최적설계 및 측면도어 충돌실험에 관한 연구 (Study on the Optimization Design and Impact Experiment of Side Door for Impact Beam in the Vehicle Side Door)

  • The impact beam, a beam-shaped reinforcement installed horizontally between the inside and outside panels of car doors, is gaining importance as a solution to meet the regulations on side collision of vehicles. In order to minimize pelvis injury which is the biggest injury happening to the driver and passengers when a vehicle is subject to side collision, energy absorption at the door impact beam should be maximized. For the inner panel, the thrust into the inside of the vehicle must be minimized. The impact beam should be as light as possible so that the extent of pelvis injury to the driver and passenger during side collision of the vehicle is minimal. To achieve this, the weight of the impact beam, has to be optimized. In this study, we perform a design analysis with a goal to reduce the weight of the current impact design by 30% while ensuring stability, reliability, and comparison data of the impact beam for mass production. We conduct three-point bending stress experiments on conventional impact beams and analyze the results. In addition, we use a side-door collision test apparatus to test the performance of beams made of three (different materials: steel, aluminum, and composite beams).
