경량 및 중량 충격원에 의한 표준 실험동의 진동전달 특성 분석 (Analysis on the Vibration Transmission Characteristics of the Standard Test Building by Using Standard Impact Source)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide a fundamental data for efficient and economical reduction method and predict ion method of floor impact noise. In order to get the useful results, the measurement on the vibration transmission characteristics of standard test building with four rooms by using heavy and light-weighed impact source were carried out. In this measurement various conditions such as the change of test structure construction, the pick-up sensor location, the excitation posit ion, and the resilient material types were applied to get the vibration characteristics transmitted from excitation room to adjacent rooms.

공동주택 경량 바닥충격음 저감성능 예측을 위한 바닥마감재 간이측정 방법 연구 (Research on simple measurement method of floor finishing materials to predict lightweight floor impact noise reduction performance in apartment houses)

  • 현재까지 바닥충격음은 중량 바닥충격음 연구가 주를 이루었다. 경량 바닥충격음의 경우 뜬 바닥구조만으로 충분히 차단성능을 확보할 수 있었기 때문이었다. 뜬 바닥구조에서 중량 바닥충격음의 경우 바닥완충재의 동탄성 측정을 통해 저감성능을 어느 정도 예측할 수 있다. 하지만 최근 사후 확인 제도의 도입으로 인해 다양한 바닥구조가 개발되고 있다. 특히, 완충재가 사용되지 않는 바닥구조에서는 경량 바닥충격음에 지대한 영향을 미치는 것이 바닥마감재이다. 하지만 바닥마감재에 대한 탄성이나 물성을 측정하여 경량바닥충격음을 효과적으로 저감 하기 위한 연구는 부족한 실정이다. 이 연구에서는 사후 확인 제도 도입 이후 중요해 질 수 있는 바닥마감재의 경량바닥충격음 저감성능 예측하고자 하였다. 공동주택 바닥마감재로 사용되는 다양한 재료를 선정하여 실제 실험실에서 경량바닥충격음 차음성능을 측정하고 간이 실험으로 진동 전달특성 파악을 통해 경량바닥충격음 예측 가능성을 확인하고자 하였다.

공동주택 복합 생활소음의 통합 평가등급 (A Combined Rating System for Multiple Noises in Residential Buildings)

  • A survey and auditory experiment on multiple residential noises such as floor impact, airborne, bathroom, drainage and traffic noises were conducted to develop a combined rating system and to establish criteria for multiple residential noises. Subjective reactions such as annoyance, activity disturbance, sleep disturbance, and satisfaction to overall noise environment and each residential noise were recorded. The effect of individual noise perception on the evaluation of the overall noise environment was also investigated. The survey results showed that satisfaction for floor impact noise most greatly affects the overall satisfaction for overall noise environment and annoyance most greatly affects the satisfaction for individual noise sources. Auditory experiments were undertaken to determine the percent satisfaction for individual noise levels. Result of auditory experiment showed that the noise level corresponding to 40 % satisfaction is 49 dB $(L_{i,Fmax,AW})$ for floor impact and is about 40 dB(A) for airborne, drainage and traffic noise. From the results of the survey and the auditory experiments, an equation for predicting the overall satisfaction for multiple noises was developed and a classification of multiple residential noises was proposed.

도심환경교통(Urban Air Mobility, UAM) 도입에 따른 소음 문제에 대한 시론 -UAM 소음의 특성과 잠재적 건강영향: 연구 방향 및 관리를 위한 정책적 고려사항- (Perspectives on Noise Issues Arising from the Introduction of Urban Air Mobility (UAM) -Characteristics and Potential Health Effects of UAM Noise: Research Directions and Policy Considerations-)

  • Urban air mobility (UAM) is emerging as an innovative transportation solution for cities. However, the potential noise impact on urban life must be carefully examined. Continuous exposure to UAM noise, with its unique frequency characteristics and temporal variability, may adversely affect citizens' health by causing sleep disorders, cardiovascular disease, and cognitive impairmenet, particularly in children. NASA has formed a UAM Noise Working Group to study this issue comprehensively. In Korea, the Seoul Metropolitan Government's UAM demonstration project is expected to accelerate related research and development. Scientific analysis, including noise measurement, prediction modeling, and health impact assessment, must be prioritized. Measures to minimize noise should be established based on this evidence, such as optimizing flight modes, developing noise reduction technologies, and establishing new noise management standards. Transparency and social consensus are crucial throughout this process. Expert review and open communication with civil society are necessary to address related concerns. Sharing demonstration project results and providing opportunities to experience UAM noise through digital twin simulations can help address public concerns and build social consensus. Proactively and scientifically tackling noise issues is essential for the sustainable development and successful integration of UAM into daily life.

  • This study aims to evaluate factors of floor structure influencing to the floor impact sound. For this reasons, we measured the vibration of floor and the floor impact sound in moment flame structure. The main results from this study are that slab area and thickness are critical factors of the floor impact sound and aspect ratio slab is not verified in flor impact sound.

  • In Korea, the current noise impact assessment has not yet considered the vertical noise propagation property by buildings and other obstacles. And noise control plan has been established without conducting the economic assessment for the noise control facilities. A noise map is used to calculate the noise level based on a theoretical formula or an empirical formula, and also predict the characteristics of vertical propagation by linking with a geometry data. And It is Possible to analyze cost-effect of noise control facilities by consider installation costs. In this study, we addressed the application of noise map for noise impact assessment and cost-effect analysis of noise control facilities.

완충재의 동특성에 따른 중량충격음 증폭에 관한 해석적 연구 (The Effect of Dynamic Property of Absorbing Sheet on the Amplification of Heavy Weight Floor Impact Noise)

  • Previous experimental results performed by many researchers for a couple of decades in South Korea have shown that an absorbing sheet inserted in a conventional floating slab system for thermal insulation or vibration absorption may amplify the vibration of the slab system at specific frequency ranges depending on the material properties of the sheet. The amplified vibration, consequently, results in the heavy weight floor impact noise exceeding the sound level limit for an apartment house, 50 dB. In this study, the amplification mechanism is examined through numerical analysis and a new slab system is proposed to reduce the amplification and control the noise. The new slab system consists of studs connecting the base slab and upper concrete finishing yielding the dramatically increased stiffness of the slab. The numerical simulation is performed to investigate the effect of the slab system with studs on the vibration and noise control. The results show that the performance of the slab is sensitive to the number and location of studs, and the heavy weight floor impact noise can be reduced up to 6~7 dB compared to the conventional slab system at the optimal stud location.

  • Impact noise is induced in a car when it is driven on a harsh road or over some bumps. This noise occurs with the very high level of sound, which affects passengers in some way or other. Although it is impossible to clearly remove such noise. It is necessary to research an improvement in sound quality for impact noise. A new sound metric for impact sound is presented in the previous work. This metric is verified by comparison between mean subjective ratings and several sound metrics. In this paper, more objective attributes are considered, which are the attributes expressing the level and modulation of sound. Three sound metrics are employed to get impact sound indexes for each course by the method of multiple linear regressions. The indexes are verified by considering the correlation between the estimated values from the multiple linear regressions and the mean subjective ratings by evaluators. Also, the subjective ratings on the indexes are estimated for the case in which some parts of suspension system are changed. The estimated ratings represent more reasonable or acceptable ratings. Thus, such indexes can be used for modification of the parts of suspension system under considering a good sound quality.

실충격원을 고려한 바닥충격음 저감방안의 평가 (Evaluations on isolation method of floor impact sounds by real impact source)

  • In this study, characteristics of impact force and impact sound of impact source such as bang machine, impact ball, and children's jumping were review. Results of review showed that impact ball has most similar characteristic to real impact sources in terms of objective properties such as impact force and impact sound. The effects of various isolator on floor impact sound were also investigated in apartment building and test facilities building using bang machine an impact ball. From the field measurement, it was found that the difference in reduction sound level between bang machine and impact ball was relatively large and the reduction sound level by impact ball was much larger than bang machine.

환경영향평가시 도로교통소음예측에 관한 개선방안 연구 (A Study on the Improvement of the Road Traffic Noise Prediction for Environmental Impact Assessment)

  • Recently the road traffic noise has appeared as a significant environmental issue because of dramatic increase of vehicles and expansion of newly constructed road. Therefore, this study proposes the method that improves prediction factors and models through analysis of the existing road traffic noise prediction model. Prediction factors can be improved by establishing guideline for diffraction attenuation and applying daily traffic discharge, peak traffic discharge, and average traveling speed through an analysis of level service. Prediction must be made by periods of one or five years during 20 years. Prediction models also can be improved to include better prediction model through setting the database, establishing functional relation between physical properties and noise levels by acoustic analysis, and developing models for road traffic noise prediction in residential areas.
