연속 프리스트레스트 콘크리트 빔교의 내하력 평가 기법에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Load Carrying Capacity Assessment Method of the Prestressed Concrete Beam Bridges)

  • In this paper, the field test by truck load and the structural analysis were performed on a prestressed concrete beam bridge to investigate the load carrying capacity of the prestressed concrete beam bridges. From the results of the field test and the structural analysis, CAF (composite action factor), TIF(transformed impact factor), and $P_n$(load carrying capacity) of the prestressed concrete beam bridges were studied, and the load carrying capacity assessment of the prestressed concrete beam bridges were carried out using these factors.

  • Impact location monitoring is one of the major concerns of the smart health monitoring. For this application, multipoint ultrasonic sensors are to be employed. In this study, a multiplexed FBG sensor system with wide dynamic range was proposed and stabilization controlling system was also developed for the maintenance of maximum sensitivity of sensors. For the intensity demodulation system of FBG sensors, Fabry-Perot tunable filter(FP-TF) with 23.8nm FSR(free spectral range) was used, which behaves as two separate filters between $1530 \~ 1560$ nm range. Two FBG sensors were attached on the bottom side of the graphite/epoxy composite beam specimen, and low velocity impact tests were performed to detect the one-dimensional impact locations. Impact locations were calculated by the arrival time differences of the impact longitudinal waves acquired by the two FBGs. As a result, multiplexed in-line FBG sensors could detect the moment of impact precisely and found the impact locations with the average error of 1.32mm.

  • When a high density metallic implant is placed in the path of the proton beam, spatial heterogeneity can be caused due to artifacts in three dimensional (3D) computed tomography (CT) scans. These artifacts result in range uncertainty in dose calculation in treatment planning system (TPS). And this uncertainty may cause significant underdosing to the target volume or overdosing to normal tissue beyond the target. In clinical cases, metal implants must be placed in the beam path in order to preserve organ at risk (OARs) and increase target coverage for tumors. So we should introduce Ti-mesh. In this paper, we measured the lateral dose profile for proton beam using an EBT3 film to confirm dosimetric impact of Ti-mesh when the Ti-mesh plate was placed in the proton beam pathway. The effect of Ti-mesh on the proton beam was investigated by comparing the lateral dose profile calculated from TPS with the film-measured value under the same conditions.

  • This work presents the reconstruction of impact force produced by the collision between two elastic structures. The 2-DOF impactor was designed. The shape control of impact farce using correlations of the dynamic characteristics and impact force history between two elastic structures is accomplished. The effects of the relative motion between impactor and elastic structure on the impact force shape are studied. Reconstruction characteristics of impact force in cantilever beam are reviewed.

이방성 재료의 충격거동에 관한 시뮬레이션 (Impact Behavior Simulation of Anisotropic Materials)

  • A study was performed to investigate the dynamic behaviors of fiber-reinforced composite materials subjected to transversely low-velocity impact. For this purpose, the simulation of modified beam finite element based on higher order beam theory for two(isotropic and anisotropic) materials is carried out according to the changes of material property, stacking sequence, geometric dimension and impact velocity of steel ball, etc. Main composite materials for simulation are composed of $[0^{\circ}/90^{\circ}/0^{\circ}/-90^{\circ}/0^{\circ}]_{2s}$, $[0^{\circ}/90^{\circ}/0^{\circ}/-90^{\circ}/0^{\circ}]_s$ and $[0^{\circ}/45^{\circ}/0^{\circ}/-45^{\circ}/0^{\circ}]_{2s}$, $[0^{\circ}/45^{\circ}/0^{\circ}/-45^{\circ}/0^{\circ}]_s$ stacking sequences. The effectiveness of this simulation for qualitative and quantitative evaluations in composite materials subjected to foreign object impact was established.

유한요소를 이용한 유연성 간극기구의 동적 해석 (Dynamic Analysis of Flexible Mechanisms with Clearances Using Finite Elements)

  • The method of analyzing flexible mechanisms with clearances was studied considering flexibility of beams in the mechanism using finite elements. Both ends of a beam were modeled as free following Dubowsky's impact pair model. Instead some force constraints were imposed at imposed at the connections between adjoining links. Coulomb model has been developed using dry frictions in place of tangential damping forces in the impact pair model and the contact compliance and damping coefficient approximated in a form of root function were used. As examples, impacts of a rigid ball in a cylinder, impact beam model and four-bar mechanisms made up of three flexible links with clearance connections were simulated numerically. The results from examples showed similar but a little bit smaller magnitude of impact forces compared with published studies.

LCA 기반 PSC 교량의 환경부하 특성분석에 대한 연구 (An Analysis of the Characteristics of Environmental Impact for PSC Beam Bridges using Life Cycle Assessment)

  • 2015년부터 한국에서 시행된 "탄소배출권 거래제"로 인해 각 분야에서 환경문제에 대응하고자 하는 움직임이 커지고 있다. 특히 환경부하량의 정확한 산출이 어려운 건설 분야에서는 ISO 14040 Series의 LCA (Life Cycle Assessment)를 적용하여 환경부하량을 산출하고자 하는 움직임이 지속되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 PSC beam 교량의 시공중 발생하는 환경부하량을 전과정 평가(Life Cycle Assessment, LCA) 방법론을 기반으로 분석하였다. 총 34개의 교량을 대상으로 분석한 결과, 건설 자재별 환경부하량은 레미콘(53.3%), 선재(9.6%), 철근(7.8%), 시멘트(6.8%) 합판(5.5%), 에너지(5.2%) 순으로 도출되었으며, 환경 범주별 환경부하량은 지구온난화(45.5%), 자원고갈(30.4%), 인체독성(10.5%), 광화학산화물생성(8.9%) 순으로 도출되었다. 향후 LCA를 기획 및 설계 단계에서 도입한다면, 환경부하를 고려한 의사결정을 수행할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Fabrication of carbon nanotube electron beam (C-beam) for thin film modification

  • Carbon nanotube emitters is very promising electron emitter for electron beam applications. We introduced the carbon nanotube electron beam (C-beam) exposure technic using triode structure. As a source, the electron beam emit from CNT emitters placed at the cathode by high electric field. Through the gate mesh, with high accelerating energy, the electron can be extracted easily and impact at the anode plate. For thin film modification, after the C-beam exposure on the amorphous silicon thin film, we found phase changes and it showed a high crystallinity from the Raman measurement. We expect that this crystallized film will be a good candidate as a new active layer of TFT.
