  • Investigation on immersion gold layers was carried out using TEM analysis for the purpose of understanding the defect of immersion gold layer. The immersion gold layers prepared with three different types of baths were observed. The results showed that the defect structure of immersion gold layer is strongly dependent on the types of gold baths. Spherical defects of average 10 nm size were located along the grain boundaries for the specimen formed at KAu$(CN)_2$ bath containing no reducing agent. In the case of the specimen processed at KAu$(CN)_2$ bath containing a reducing agent, the spherical defects of 5-10 nm size were distributed randomly in grains as well as at grain boundaries. However, such defects disappeared almost completely when $Na_{3}Au(SO_3)_2$ bath was used to fabricate an immersion gold.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the current status of augmented reality picture books, which have been steadily developed since 2010, as a genre of electronic picture books, and to reveal how children's immersion in augmented reality picture books differs from paper picture books. To this end, 30 augmented reality picture books on the market were analyzed according to genre, life theme, implementation method, and augmented reality scene ratio. As a result of the study, it was found that the genre of picture books was in the order of information fairy tales, daily fairy tales, and historical fairy tales, and there were no traditional or fantasy fairy tales. Animals and plants accounted for about half of the life topics, and in some cases, there were only a few or no other life topics. In the augmented reality implementation scene, it consisted of only one page in the early days, but all pages are now possible to implement augmented reality due to technology development, production cost reduction, and improved hardware performance of smartphones. It was found that the augmented reality implementation method used CD-ROM in the early days, but gradually became possible to implement using only mobile phones and tablets that were easy for readers to access. In addition, after presenting four picture books to eight 5-year-old infants, the immersion time was measured and the immersion behavior was observed. As a result, augmented reality picture books showed higher immersion[immersion time, immersion behavior] than paper picture books, but compared by literature genre, life fairy tales were higher in paper picture books and natural fairy tales in augmented reality picture books. It was higher when presenting augmented reality picture books after presenting paper picture books according to the order of presentation of picture book types. The results of this study suggest that more diverse life topics and augmented reality picture books in the genre of children's literature should be developed to increase the utilization of augmented reality picture books. In addition, considering that there are differences in immersion between types, literary genres, and reading experience [presentation order], it is expected to increase the educational effect by using picture books complementarily.

This study investigates the influence of four behavioral types in MBTI (Myer-Briggs Type Indicator) and working conditions on organizational effectiveness. Job satisfaction and immersion have been regarded as a key conception of organizational effectiveness. The focus of this study is to investigate the effects of R&D employee's four behavioral types in MBTI and working conditions on organizational effectiveness. The results of this study show that organizational effectiveness is influenced by personality types and working conditions. According to the result, First, about the analysis of differences in job satisfaction, EP (Extraversion Perceiving)-type (3.56) and EJ (Extraversion Judging)-type (3.43) are higher than IJ (Introversion Judging)-type (3.07) and IP (Introversion Perceiving)-type (3.03) of four behavioral types in MBTI. So an enterprise makes various efforts to enhance job satisfaction for IJ (Introversion Judging)-type and IP (Introversion Perceiving)-type. Second, For improving the organizational effectiveness that is job satisfaction and immersion, an enterprise must make favorable working conditions to each four behavioral types in MBTI of R&D employees. In order to improve job satisfaction, the enterprise will provide IJ (Introversion Judging)-type with support for collegiality and IP (Introversion Perceiving)-type with good relationships with superiors. and also the enterprise gives autonomic authority to EJ (Extraversion Judging)-type. Finally, in the case of EP (Extraversion Perceiving)-type, the enterprise must admit failure for efforts. In order to improve job immersion, the enterprise will provide IP (Introversion Perceiving)-type with good relationships with superiors, the vision of company and compensation for creative work. and also the enterprise gives autonomic authority to EJ (Extraversion Judging)-type.

  • To estimate the measurement uncertainty for industrial platinum resistance thermometers(IPRTs) made with 3-wire connection, the immersion temperature profile was investigated using a liquid bath. Two types of IPRTs having lead wires made of silver and nickel were constructed and the immersion profiles were measured at temperatures from -50 $^{\circ}C$ to 250 $^{\circ}C$ using 3-wire and 4-wire method. As immersion depth and temperature increased, the resistances measured by 3-wire method increased linearly but not for 4-wire method. To calibrate a 3-wire IPRT, the immersion effect must be accounted for. We propose a linear equation to assess correctly the measurement uncertainty.

  • This study aims to examine the effects of message framing of restaurant menus on customers' perceptions (trust and immersion) and their willingness to pay a premium price. The contents of messages focused on a hypothetical restaurant's cause-marketing activity. Four types of message framing were created: The first two types were varied by the presence and absence of the information about the current cause-marketing outcome, and the second two types were varied by positive and negative framing. The results showed that respondents in general had trust in cause-marketing messages and immersion of cause-marketing message by negative framing lead to positive influence of willingness to pay. Furthermore it had a significant effect on willingness to pay depending on cause-marketing message type and negative message framed messages showed an intention to willingness to pay a premium price. This study compared the difference in messages by type as an extension of the studies of cause-marketing messages in the past. The results of this study will be used for establishing effective marketing strategies for today's foodservice companies and serve as objective data for setting differentiated prices under the circumstance where the importance of companies' social responsibilities is growing.

  • We compared germination efficiency for somatic embryos (SE) of Liriodendron tulipifera using semi-solid (SS), temporary immersion bioreactors (TIB), and continuous immersion bioreactors (CIB) to produce vigorous plants. The bioreactors were designed to be immersed in liquid media with plantlets with an adjustable immersion time. TIB and CIB improved germination rates up to 80.86% and 95.21%, respectively, however, CIB produced more hyperhydric plantlets than TIB. The height of plantlets in TIB was significantly higher than for those in CIB. Fresh weights of plantlets grown in CIB of were significantly lower than for those grown in TIB. The lowest chlorophyll concentration was found in in vitro plantlets from CIB. We examined abnormally developed leaves, stems, and apical zones of in vitro plantlets that were produced in CIB. Among the three types, SS showed the highest stomatal density and the shortest stomatal length in in vitro plantlets. After acclimatization, plants from CIB exhibited the lowest values in biomass, such as height, root collar diameter, leaf fresh weight, leaf length, leaf width, petiole length, petiole diameter, and leaf area. Photosynthesis and transpiration rates of ex vitro plants were not significantly different among the three culture types, but stomatal conductance was higher in TIB than in the SS and CIB. Therefore, the results suggest that TIB is the preferable bioreactor to improve in vitro plantlet regeneration of L. tulipifera. TIB-originated plants showed higher growth rate than SS and CIB after transferring to soil.
