This study derived measures to reduce exposure doses by identifying factors which affect the external radiation dose rate of patients treated with radiopharmaceuticals for PET-CT tests. The external radiation dose rates were measured on three parts of head, thorax and abdomen at a distance of 50cm from the surface of 60 PET-CT patients. It showed there are changes in factors affecting the external radiation dose rate over time after the administration of F-18 FDG. The external radiation dose rate was lower in the patients with more water intake than those with less water intake before the injection of radiopharmaceuticals at all three points: right after the injection of radiopharmaceuticals (average 4.17 mins), after the pre-PEET-CT urination step (average 77.47 mins), and right after the PET-CT test (average 114.15 mins). The study also found there is a need to increase the amount of water intake before the injection of radiopharmaceuticals in order to maintain a low external radiation dose rate in patients. This strategy is only possible under the assumption that the quality of the video has not changed after conducting this study on the relations between the image and quality. This study also found a need to use radiopharmaceuticals with the minimum amount needed for each patient because F-FDG doses affects the external radiation dose rate at the point right after the injection of radiopharmaceuticals. Urination frequency was the most significant factor to affect the external radiation dose rates at the point right after the PET-CT test and the point after the pre-PET-CT urination step. There is a need to realize the strategy to increase the urination frequency of patients to maintain the external radiation dose rate low (average 77.47 mins) before and after the injection of radiopharmaceuticals. In addition, at this point, there is a need to take advantage of personal strategies because the external radiation dose rate is lower if the fasting time is shorter, the contrast medium is used, and the amount of water intake is increased after the administration of radiopharmaceuticals. Finally this study found the need to be able to generalize these findings through an in-depth research on the factors affecting the external radiation dose rate, which includes radiopharmaceutical dose, urination frequency, the amount of water intake, fasting time and the use of contrast medium.

In this paper, we propose a method to recognize the braille blocks for embedded devices in real time through deep learning. First, a deep learning model for braille block recognition is trained on a high-performance computer, and the learning model is applied to a lightweight tool to apply to an embedded device. To recognize the walking information of the braille block, an algorithm is used to determine the path using the distance from the braille block in the image. After detecting braille blocks, bollards, and crosswalks through the YOLOv8 model in the video captured by the embedded device, the walking information is recognized through the braille block path discrimination algorithm. We apply the model lightweight tool to YOLOv8 to detect braille blocks in real time. The precision of YOLOv8 model weights is lowered from the existing 32 bits to 8 bits, and the model is optimized by applying the TensorRT optimization engine. As the result of comparing the lightweight model through the proposed method with the existing model, the path recognition accuracy is 99.05%, which is almost the same as the existing model, but the recognition speed is reduced by 59% compared to the existing model, processing about 15 frames per second.

To estimate the parameters of a mathematical model of fishes' swimming behavior, the behavior in a experimental water tank was observed and analyzed using the video monitoring system. The tank was equipped with vertical circulation system, and measured $3,500L\;{\times}\;1,500B\;{\times}\;1,000H\;mm$ at flow channel and $1,200L\;{\times}\;900B\;{\times}\;500H\;mm$ at observational part. Rainbow trout, salmo gairdnerii were used as experimental fishes. Their swimming behavior in the tank was observed by the monitoring system, and the positions of every individual were checked at 0.5 second intervals by the image processing of recorded pictures for 5 minutes. The mean swimming speed calculated from the time series data of positions of every individual ranged from 2.5BL cm/sec to 2.9BL cm/sec at the stagnated flow. The mean swimming speed of 10 individuals in a school increased according to the flow speed. The mean swimming depth ranged from 17 cm to 38 cm even though it changed irregularly at the stagnated flow and gradually became stable according to the increase of flow speed. In the present study, the mean distance of individuals from wall of the tank varied from 17.6cm to 21.4cm. The mean distance between the nearest individual varied from 0.4BL cm to 0.7BL cm when 10 individuals in a school were observed. The mean dimension of fish schools became enlarged in all directions according to increase in the number of individuals, and as flow speed increased the horizontal dimension of fish schools expanded while their vertical dimension decreased.

Conventional fire fighting robots are controlled by a remote control to monitor the fire scene or to suppress the fire. However, this method has a problem that it takes a long time to prepare robot and input it to fire place in the golden time after the fire, so that it can not sufficiently serve as a fire fighting robot. Using the autonomous driving fire monitoring robot, when a fire signal is generated, in conjunction with a fire receiver a moving robot takes a video of the fire scene and delivers the image to the fire department, so that the fire fighter can decide if it is real fire or not. Thereby it is possible to prevent a sudden spread of an accident by providing a quick judgment opportunity and at the same time suppressing the fire early. In this paper, we propose an architecture of the autonomous mobile fire monitoring robot and the communication protocol required for the robot to work with the fire receiver. A communication protocol is designed to control multiple fire monitoring robots in real time, and a communication with a fire receiver is designed as a hierarchical network to serve as an interface of an Ethernet network using wireless Wi-Fi. The fire monitoring robot and the wireless communication of the fire receiving period are implemented and the effectiveness of the operation is confirmed through the field test.

According to the statistics about the fatal crashes that have occurred on the expressways for the last 5 years, those who died on the shoulders of the road has been as 3 times high as the others who died on the expressways. It suggests that the crashes on the shoulders of the road should be fatal, and that it would be important to prevent the traffic crashes by cracking down on the vehicles intruding the shoulders of the road. Therefore, this study proposed a method to detect a vehicle that violates the shoulder lane by using the Faster R-CNN. The vehicle was detected based on the Faster R-CNN, and an additional reading module was configured to determine whether there was a shoulder violation. For experiments and evaluations, GTAV, a simulation game that can reproduce situations similar to the real world, was used. 1,800 images of training data and 800 evaluation data were processed and generated, and the performance according to the change of the threshold value was measured in ZFNet and VGG16. As a result, the detection rate of ZFNet was 99.2% based on Threshold 0.8 and VGG16 93.9% based on Threshold 0.7, and the average detection speed for each model was 0.0468 seconds for ZFNet and 0.16 seconds for VGG16, so the detection rate of ZFNet was about 7% higher. The speed was also confirmed to be about 3.4 times faster. These results show that even in a relatively uncomplicated network, it is possible to detect a vehicle that violates the shoulder lane at a high speed without pre-processing the input image. It suggests that this algorithm can be used to detect violations of designated lanes if sufficient training datasets based on actual video data are obtained.
The study figured out the operational conditions of a two-way movement actuator made of one-way shape memory alloy (OWSMA) for versatile ventilation intelligent garments. To develop a low-power actuator that consumes energy only when a garment changes its form such as opening and closing, multiple channels of OWSMA were used, and optimum diameter of the wires was examined. For the switch device, optimum voltage application unit time was determined. Optimum diameter of OWSMA wire was determined by applying 3.7V to the pre-determined candidate diameters, which demonstrated two-way operation in previous studies. In order to evaluate the optimum voltage application time, the internal diameter of the actuator was measured while increasing and decreasing by 50 ms from the unit time of voltage application. Delay time under two-way operation of the actuator was measured to minimize interference caused by heat between channels. Power of 3.7V was applied to OWSMA for assessment of optimal time, and the whole process from heating to cooling was video-recorded with a thermal image camera to determine the point of time at which the temperature of OWSMA wire dropped below the phase transformation temperature. The results showed that $0.4{\Phi}$ was the most suitable diameter, and the optimum unit time of voltage applied to open and close the actuator was 4100ms. It was also shown that the delay time should be more than 1.8 seconds between two-way operations of the actuator.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of multi joint-joint position sense (MJ-JPS) training on joint position sense, balance, and gait ability in stroke patients. A total of 18 stroke patients participated in the study. The subjects were allocated randomly into two groups: an experimental group and a control group. Participants in the experimental group received MJ-JPS training (10 min) and conventional treatment (20 min), but participants in the control group only received conventional treatment (30 min). Both groups received training for five times per week for six weeks. MJ-JPS is a training method used to increase proprioception in the lower extremities; as such, it is used, to position the lower extremities in a given space. MJ-JPS measurement was captured via video using a Image J program to calculate the error distance. Balance ability was measured using Timed Up and Go (TUG) and the Berg Balance Scale (BBS). Gait ability was measured with a 10 m walking test (10MWT) and by climbing four flights of stairs. The Shapiro-Wilk test was used to assess normalization. Within-group differences were analyzed using the paired t-test. Between-group differences were analyzed using the independent t-test. The experimental group showed a significant decrease in error distance (MJ-JPS) compared to the control group (p<.05). Both groups showed a significant difference in their BBS and 10MWT results (p<.05). The experimental group showed a significant decrease in their TUG and climbing results (p<.05), but the control group results for those two tasks were not found to be significant (p>.05). There was significant difference in MJ-JPS and by climbing four flights of stairs on variation of pre and post test in between groups (p<.05), but TUG and BBS and 10MWT was no significantly (p>.05). We suggest that the MJ-JPS training proposed in this study be used as an intervention to help improve the functional activity of the lower extremities in stroke patients.
Electrochromic (EC) devices are capable of reversibly changing their optical properties upon charge injection and extraction induced by the external voltage. The characteristics of the EC device, such as low power consumption, high coloration efficiency, and memory effects under open circuit status, make them suitable for use in a variety of applications including smart windows and electronic papers. Coloration due to reduction or oxidation of redox chromophores can be used for EC devices (e-paper), but the switching time is slow (second level). Recently, with increasing demand for the low cost, lightweight flat panel display with paper-like readability (electronic paper), an EC display technology based on dye-modified $TiO_2$ nanoparticle electrode was developed. A well known organic dye molecule, viologen, was adsorbed on the surface of a mesoporous $TiO_2$ nanoparticle film to form the EC electrode. On the other hand, ZnO is a wide bandgap II-VI semiconductor which has been applied in many fields such as UV lasers, field effect transistors and transparent conductors. The bandgap of the bulk ZnO is about 3.37 eV, which is close to that of the $TiO_2$ (3.4 eV). As a traditional transparent conductor, ZnO has excellent electron transport properties, even in ZnO nanoparticle films. In the past few years, one-dimension (1D) nanostructures of ZnO have attracted extensive research interest. In particular, 1D ZnO nanowires renders much better electron transportation capability by providing a direct conduction path for electron transport and greatly reducing the number of grain boundaries. These unique advantages make ZnO nanowires a promising matrix electrode for EC dye molecule loading. ZnO nanowires grow vertically from the substrate and form a dense array (Fig. 1). The ZnO nanowires show regular hexagonal cross section and the average diameter of the ZnO nanowires is about 100 nm. The cross-section image of the ZnO nanowires array (Fig. 1) indicates that the length of the ZnO nanowires is about $6\;{\mu}m$. From one on/off cycle of the ZnO EC cell (Fig. 2). We can see that, the switching time of a ZnO nanowire electrode EC cell with an active area of $1\;{\times}\;1\;cm^2$ is 170 ms and 142 ms for coloration and bleaching, respectively. The coloration and bleaching time is faster compared to the $TiO_2$ mesoporous EC devices with both coloration and bleaching time of about 250 ms for a device with an active area of $2.5\;cm^2$. With further optimization, it is possible that the response time can reach ten(s) of millisecond, i.e. capable of displaying video. Fig. 3 shows a prototype with two different transmittance states. It can be seen that good contrast was obtained. The retention was at least a few hours for these prototypes. Being an oxide, ZnO is oxidation resistant, i.e. it is more durable for field emission cathode. ZnO nanotetropods were also applied to realize the first prototype triode field emission device, making use of scattered surface-conduction electrons for field emission (Fig. 4). The device has a high efficiency (field emitted electron to total electron ratio) of about 60%. With this high efficiency, we were able to fabricate some prototype displays (Fig. 5 showing some alphanumerical symbols). ZnO tetrapods have four legs, which guarantees that there is one leg always pointing upward, even using screen printing method to fabricate the cathode.

The conventional real-time signal control strategy for oversaturated situation generally requires a number of detectors at the intersection in order to identify the queue length at each approach. Also, existing strategy for the spillback has limited effect due to the temporal spillback control which only reduce the green split at the approach. In this study, a signal control system utilizing the imagery information from ITS roadside equipment is developed for operation of oversaturated intersections. The strategy calculates the saturation ratio based on the queue length extracted from ITS RSE, and designs the signal control variables according to the saturation ratio. The signal control strategy is divided into two phases: oversaturated and supersaturated. In oversaturated conditions, timing plan for main approach is optimized by the queue length. In oversaturated conditions where spillback might occur, the signal timing is designed in order to avoid the spillback. To increase field adaptability, the strategy is designed to adjust the split length, all-red-time, and clearance time, and keep the major signal control variables intact. The result of the simulation shows that in oversaturated conditions, the improvement is similar to the real-time signal control system. In case of, oversaturated conditions, however, the effect of the strategy is superior to that of a real-time system.

In this paper, we propose an effective method to block illegal gambling advertisement on social media. With the increase of smartphone and internet usage, users can easily access various information while sharing information such as text and video with a large number of others. In addition, illegal sports gambling advertisements are also continue to be transmitted on SNS. To avoid most surveillance networks, users are easily exposed to illegal sports gambling advertisement images by including phrases in the images that indicate illegal sports gambling advertisements. In order to cope with these problems, we proposed a method to actively block illegal sports gambling advertisements in a way different from the conventional passive methods. In this paper, we select words frequently used for illegal sports gambling, classifies them into three groups according to their importance, calculate WF for each word using weighted formula by degree of relevance and frequency, and then sum the WF of the words in the image. Blocking, warning, and passing were determined by cv, the total of WF. Experimenting with the proposed method, 193 out of 200 experimental images were correctly judged with 96.5% accuracy, and even though 7 images were illegal sports gambling advertisements. Further research is needed to block 3.5% of illegal sports betting ads that cannot be blocked in the future.
