오픈 소스를 이용한 치과 의료영상처리 SW 개발 (Development of Dental Medical Image Processing SW using Open Source Library)

  • 최근 IT 기술의 발전으로 의료영상처리 기술은 치과 분야에서도 많이 사용되고 있으며, CT 등에 의한 3D 데이터를 사용하여 치료 효과를 높이고 있다. 본 논문에서는 치과용 의료영상처리 SW를 개발하기 위해 ITK와 VTK 등 오픈 소스 라이브러리를 소개하고, 이를 사용하여 3D CBCT를 중심으로 치과용 의료영상처리 SW를 개발하는 방법에 대해 소개한다. ITK는 의료영상처리를 위한 기본적인 알고리즘들이 구현되어 있어 영상처리 파이프라인을 빠르게 구현할 수 있고 개발자가 원하는 알고리즘을 필터로 손쉽게 구현할 수 있다. 개발된 알고리즘을 VTK와 연동을 통해 시각화 기능을 구현하였다. 개발된 SW를 사용하면 2D 영상의 한계를 극복하는 치과 진단 및 치료에 활용할 수 있다.

  • As sports infiltrates each field of modern society and becomes familiar, sports wear was changed functionally and was introduced and enveloped into everyday dress. Modern sports wear has been the settled in everyday life deeply and become the clothes of life which are worn regardless of place, time and age. The aim of this paper was to clarify what kind of fashion of sports style would be given to the modern people. In this study, sports wear which has become everyday dress classified from a gender point of view. It was divided into masculine image, feminine image, and neutral image. Sports wear of masculine image generated a silhouette which emphasized the shoulder with the aspiration for youth and health. Wide shoulder was considered as the symbol of masculine beauty and the expression of healthy beauty. It was reflected well in body conscious look. And owing to the development of up-to-data materials, innovation of design, and the study of human body technology, the functional character was settled in the sports wear which showed masculine image. Sports wear of feminine image was represented fashion of body exposure, body feet with body conscious look, and romantic mode. This image was expressed fashion as comforts, pleasant, active design, materials, color, and romantic feminine beauty. Sports wear of neutral image was expressed into unisex clothes. This cloths have no difference in gender, age, and class. It was used as casual sports wear. In the 1960s, young generation participated in such street sports as street basketball and skate. They usually sore the sports wears of neutral image such as cycling, skating, and ski. In the materials of sports, the development of up-to-data material like lycra made the sayings lifelike, “up-to-data material is the second skin” It show that glamorous feminine image and strong masculine image coexisted. The contemporary concept of sportswear is no longer limited to those clothes for sports found in such places like tennis court or swimming pool. Now, the sports wear become more like casual activity wear all classes of people can enjoy in their life regardless of where they are, when they wear, and even how old they are.

CMOS 기반의 디지털 태양센서를 위한 고정밀 이미지 중심 알고리즘의 개발 (Development of High-Accuracy Image Centroiding Algorithm for CMOS-based Digital Sun Sensor)

  • 디지털 태양센서는 CMOS 이미지 센서에 맺힌 태양광 이미지를 이용하여 태양광의 입사 각도를 계산한다. 이를 위해서는 태양광 이미지의 정확한 중심점을 찾아야하며 따라서 정밀한 중심점 추정은 디지털 태양센서 개발에서 가장 중요한 요소가 된다. 중심점을 찾기 위해서 가장 일반적으로 쓰이는 중심 알고리즘은 thresholding 방법이며 가장 단순하고 구현하기 쉽다. 또 다른 알고리즘으로는 이미지 처리를 이용하는 image filtering 방법이 있다. 하지만 이러한 방법들은 태양센서 정밀도가 이미지 센서에서 획득한 태양광 강도(intensity) 데이터의 노이즈에 영향을 많이 받으며, 특히 thresholding 방법의 경우 threshold 값에 따라 정밀도가 바뀌기 때문에 효과적인 threshold 값을 정하기 어려운 단점이 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 태양광 이미지의 중심점을 구하기 위해서 태양광 이미지 모델을 이용하는 template 방법을 제시하고 성능을 비교 분석하였다. 제안한 template 방법은 thereshold, image filtering 방법과 달리 비교적 높은 정밀도를 가지며, 특히 노이즈 수준에 관계없이 거의 일정한 수준의 정밀도를 가지는 장점이 있어 신뢰성이 높다.

  • This paper presents a novel contrast enhance algorithm for images displayed with bright environment light. This algorithm is designed to preserve local contrast based on the luminance ratio of the pixel to its local surround in attention. This algorithm improves image quality of projectors in a bright room.

도시이미지 제고를 통한 도시 관광개발 (Development of Urban Tourism through the Improvement of City Image)

  • 도시는 전 세계에서 가장 중요한 관광목적지임에도 불구하고 아직도 대부분의 학문적 관광연구에서 소홀히 다루어 지고 있다. 도시는 그 자체로 관광목적지가 되기도 하지만 관광객이 한 나라에 입국하는데 필요한 관문역할, 숙박의 중심지역할, 주변 농촌으로 가기위한 중간기착지역할 등을 수행한다. 근래에 점점 더 많은 도시들이 관광객을 끌어들이기 위해 도시의 이미지를 적극적으로 홍보하고 있다. 도시이미지는 어떤 사람이 그 도시에 갖고 있는 신념, 아이디어, 인상의 총합이다. 따라서 이미지는 항상 도시마케팅 담당자들에게 관심과 흥미의 대상이었다. 특히 관광은 어떤 장소의 이미지에 의해 크게 좌우되기 때문에 도시관광개발에서 이미지제고는 중요하다. 이미지제고 전략의 비용과 효과는 현재 그 도시가 지니는 이미지와 그 도시의 실제 속성에 달려 있다. 현재 긍정적인 이미지를 지닌 도시들은 당연히 그이미지를 바꿀 필요가 없고 긍정적인 이미지를 강화하고 그 것을 목표집단에 전달하면 된다. 부정적인 이미지를 지닌 도시들은 그 이미지를 제거하고 긍정적인 이미지로 바꿔야 한다. 이미지뒤집기는 물론 어렵다. 잘 알려져 있지 않거나 약한 이미지의 도시들은 강력한 이미지를 개발하여 유포시켜야 한다.

관광 매력성과 이미지가 관광지 개발유형에 미치는 영향 연구 (A study of the Impact of Fourism Attractions and Images on the Destination Development Patterns)

  • Tourist Destination is based on tourism attractions. Components of Tourism attraction are included tourism resources, entertainment facilities, transportation, accommodation, infrastructure, assistance facilities & service, hospitality, information facilities & service, and retailing & service. Tourism resources of them is the key to determine destination development pattern, because tourism attraction that attract tourists is based on tourism resources. Therefore, there are need to study what is tourism attraction of destination at the view of tourists and what is destination development pattern based on it to develop tourism attraction that is able appeal tourists. The purpose of this study is to examine what effect of tourism attraction affects destination development pattern. This study defined Haeundae, Kwanganri, Songjung, Taejongdae in Pusan, Korea as research areas. Research data were collected from 300 respondents by a simple random sampling method. A final 284 usable questionaries were used for empirical analysis after data purification process. Reliability and validity of the scale on the tourism attraction, destination image, and facility needs have been evaluated using Cronbach $\alpha$, item-total correlations. This study analyzed the factors of the tourism attraction and destination images. The result obtained that tourism attraction is divided relaxation attraction, local activity attraction, culture . nature attraction and touring circuit attraction, and destination image is divided culture . urban attractiveness, touring attractiveness, local . stay attractiveness, convenience of travel and relativeness for destination investigated. ANOVA and regression (stepwise) were used to test hypotheses. Based on the results of hypotheses testing, major findings of the empirical research are as follow : 1. The tourism attraction and destination image are significantly different, but facility needs are not significantly by destinations (e. g. Haeundae, Kwanganri, Songjung, Taejongdae) . 2. Destination development pattern is a(fact by the tourism attraction in partial. In case of Haeundea, relaxation attraction take effect partially spa, history and marine/spa tourism. 3. The destination development pattern is influenced by the destination image in partial. In case of Kwanganri, the natural . activity attractiveness and urban tourism images have been found as influential factors that affect marine tourism. 4. The destination images are influenced the physical attributes in literature review, but the destination image are taken effect partially the tourism attraction in this study. 5. Destination development pattern are influenced by the tourism attraction and the destination image partially. This research has provided a variety of practical suggestions. Especially, it was suggested that the destination have appeal to tourists by strengthening attraction and improving weakness. Also, we need to specialize destination in same destination development pattern.

Development of an Acoustic-Based Underwater Image Transmission System

  • Wireless communication systems are inevitable for efficient underwater activities. Because of the poor propagation characteristics of light and electromagnetic waves, acoustic waves are generally used for the underwater wireless communication. Although there are many kinds of information type, visual images take an essential role especially for search and identification activities. For this reason, we developed an acoustic-based underwater image transmission system under a dual use technology project supported by MOCIE (Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy). For the application to complicated and time-varying underwater environments all-digital transmitter and receiver systems are investigated. Array acoustic transducers are used at the receiver, which have the center frequency of 32kHz and the bandwidth of 4kHz. To improve transmission speed and quality, various algorithms and systems are used. The system design techniques will be discussed in detail including image compression/ decompression system, adaptive beam- forming, fast RLS adaptive equalizer, ${\partial}/4$ QPSK (Quadrilateral Phase Shift Keying) modulator/demodulator, and convolution coding/ Viterbi. 적외선 영상에서 표적 추적을 위한 신호세기 기반 초기 유효게이트 설정 방법 (Setting an Initial Validation Gate based on Signal Intensity for Target Tracking in IR Image Sequences)

  • This paper describes a method to set an intensity-based initial validation gate for tracking filter while preserves the ability of tracking a target with maximum speed. First, we collected real data set of signal versus distance of an airplane target. And at each data point, we computed maximum distance the target can move. And a function is modeled to expect the maximum moving pixels on the lateral direction based on the intensity of the detected target in IR image sequence. The initial prediction error covariance can be computed using this function to decide the size of the initial validation gate. The simulation results show the proposed method can set the appropriate initial validation gates to track the targets with the maximum speed.

  • Recently, many studies on big data based smart farming have been conducted. Research to quantify morphological characteristics using image data from various crops in smart farming is underway. Rice is one of the most important food crops in the world. Much research has been done to predict and model rice crop yield production. The number of productive tillers per plant is one of the important agronomic traits associated with the grain yield of rice crop. However, modeling the basic growth characteristics of rice requires accurate data measurements. The existing method of measurement by humans is not only labor intensive but also prone to human error. Therefore, conversion to digital data is necessary to obtain accurate and phenotyping quickly. In this study, we present an image-based method to predict leaf number and evaluate tiller number of individual rice crop using YOLOv5 deep learning network. We performed using various network of the YOLOv5 model and compared them to determine higher prediction accuracy. We ako performed data augmentation, a method we use to complement small datasets. Based on the number of leaves and tiller actually measured in rice crop, the number of leaves predicted by the model from the image data and the existing regression equation were used to evaluate the number of tillers using the image data.

  • Satellite and aerial images are very useful means to monitor ecological and environmental situation. Nowadays more and more officials at Ministry of Environment in Korea need to access and use these image data through networks like internet or intranet. However it is very hard to manage and service these image data through internet or intranet, because of its size problem. In this paper very large image data service system for Ministry of Environment is constructed on web environment using image compression and web based image processing technology. Through this system, not only can officials in Ministry of Environment access and use all the image data but also can achieve several image processing effects on web environment. Moreover officials can retrieve attribute information from vector GIS data that are also integrated with the system.
