This paper is to present a method for recognizing an image of a tracking object by processing the image from a camera, whose attitude is controlled in inertial space with inertial co-ordinate system. In order to recognize an object, a pseudo-random M-array is attached on the object and it is observed by the camera which is controlled on inertial coordinate basis by inertial stabilization unit. When the attitude of the camera is changed, the observed image of M-array is transformed by use of affine transformation to the image in inertial coordinate system. Taking the cross-correlation function between the affine-transformed image and the original image, we can recognize the object. As parameters of the attitude of the camera, we used the azimuth angle of camera, which is de-fected by gyroscope of an inertial sensor, and elevation an91e of camera which is calculated from the gravitational acceleration detected by servo accelerometer.

In this paper, we propose an efficient shaking correction techniques for a moving vehicle image stabilization. The proposed shaking correction techniques was calculated cumulative histogram for the conversion and the separating information via color separation of video image frame of the input received. And it were to matching the histogram for match the color information as compensation result of the shaking vehicle video imaging. In this paper, the proposed the shaking correction techniques was obtained to the restoration result when compared to the existing shaking correction techniques that the smallest noise and better the naturalness of image through stabilization of luminance level and color level. Also, the imaging stabilization method was demonstrated the efficiency compared to other methods through to the real-time processing without the use of the memory.

This paper proposes an image stabilization algorithm for close watching UAV(Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) using motion separation and stabilization mode. The motion of UAV is composed of its actual navigating motion and unwanted vibrating motion so that image sequences obtained from UAV are shaken randomly. In order to stabilize these images we separate the vibrating motion component from UAV motion and remove the effect caused by it from image sequences. In the proposed algorithm the motion and global intensity change of two consecutive images are modeled with 6 motion parameters and 2 intensity change parameters respectively. These modeled parameters are estimated by non-linear least square method based on Gauss-Newton algorithm. The vibrating motion component is separated from the estimated motion using IIR filtering and the geometric deformation caused by it is removed from image sequences. In order to apply the proposed method to real aerial image sequences with many abrupt changes of camera view, we proposed a stabilizing method using two different modes named as stabilizing and non-stabilizing mode. Experimental results show that the accuracy of motion estimation is 99% and the efficiency of removing the vibrating motion component is 90%. We apply the proposed method to real aerial image sequences and verified its stabilizing performance.

In this paper, we propose a new digital image stabilization scheme based on the bit-plane matching. In the proposed algorithm, the conventional motion estimation algorithms are applied to the binary images extracted from the bit-plane images. It is shown that the computational complexity of the proposed algorithm can be significantly reduced by replacing the arithmetic calculations with the binary Boolean functions, while the accuracy of motion estimation is maintained. Furthermore, an adaptive algorithm for selecting a bit-plane in consideration of changes in external illumination can provide the robustness of the proposed algorithm. We compared the proposed algorithm with existing algorithms using root mean square error (RMSE) on the basis of the brute-force method, and proved experimentally that the proposed method detects the camera motion more accurately than existing algorithms. In addition, the proposed algorithm performs digital image stabilization with less computation.
The focal plane image stabilization for a camera is one of the most effective method that can increases the digital camera's image quality by compensating the vibration disturbance. The optical image stabilization can be implemented by making the focal plane to trace the path of incident light. To control the position of focal plane motion compensating stage precisely, a nonlinear control algorithm has been applied by considering coulomb friction which is nonlinear behavior of the compensator system. In our study, we have analyzed the hand shaking vibration using the gyro sensor, and made a mathematical model of compensating stage containing optical sensor and piezo-actuator. Then the nonlinear control algorithm has been designed and its performance has been verified by experiment. In this study, a friction driven peizo-electric actuator with $1{\mu}m$ resolution and 10mm/s speed has been used for stage movement.

In this paper, we proposed a shaking image stabilization algorithm using deep learning. The proposed algorithm utilizes deep learning, unlike some 2D, 2.5D and 3D based stabilization techniques. The proposed algorithm is an algorithm that extracts and compares features of shaky images through CNN network structure and LSTM network structure, and transforms images in reverse order of movement size and direction of feature points through the difference of feature point between previous frame and current frame. The algorithm for stabilizing the shake is implemented by using CNN network and LSTM structure using Tensorflow for feature extraction and comparison of each frame. Image stabilization is implemented by using OpenCV open source. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can be used to stabilize the camera shake stability in the up, down, left, and right shaking images.
This paper presents a simple approach on the rotational motion estimation and correction for the roll stabilization of the sight system. The algorithm first computes the rotational center from the selected local velocity vectors of related pixels by least square methods. And then, rotational angle is found from the special subset of the motion vector. Finally, motion correction is performed by the nearest neighbor interpolation technique. In order to show the performance of the algorithm, the evaluation for the synthetic and real image was performed. The test results show good performance compared with previous approach.

This paper presents a rotational motion estimation and correction technique for digital image stabilization. An equivalent rotation model is derived so as to accommodate a combined rotational and the translational motion. Thanks to this simplification, the suggested estimation algorithm can directly find the rotational center using geometric characteristic of local motion vectors instead of using searching method. And we also present recursive version of frame to reference algorithm(FRA) for the real time implementation. The proposed DIS system does not require time consuming parameter searching process, while showing comparatively good performance compared with the previous ones. To show the effectiveness of the DIS scheme, the algorithm has been implemented on the DSP based hardware system and experimental results are also discussed.

This study proposes a closed-loop shaping control method with $H_{\infty}$ optimization for optical image stabilization (OIS) in mobile phone cameras. The image stabilizer is composed of a horizontal stage constrained by ball bearings and actuated by the magnetic force from voice coil motors. The displacement of the stage is measured by Hall effect sensors. From the OIS frequency response experiment, the transfer function models of the stage and Hall effect sensor were identified. The weight functions were determined considering the tracking performance, noise attenuation, and stability with considerable margins. The $H_{\infty}$ optimal controller was executed using closed-loop shaping and limiting the controller order, which should be less than 6 for real-time implementation. The control algorithm was verified experimentally and proved to operate as designed.
This paper presents a method, Exposure Controlled Temporal Filtering (ECF), applied to visual motion tracking, that can cancel the temporal aliasing of periodic vibrations of cameras and fluctuations in illumination through the control of exposure time. We first present a theoretical analysis of the exposure induced image time integration process and how it samples sensor impingent light that is periodically fluctuating. Based on this analysis we develop a simple method to cancel high frequency vibrations that are temporally aliased onto sampled image sequences and thus to subsequent motion tracking measurements. Simulations and experiments using the 'Center of Gravity' and Normalized Cross-Correlation motion tracking methods were performed on a microscopic motion tracking system to validate the analytical predictions.
