  • In this paper, we propose an object recognition method using image information to improve the efficiency of visual servoingfor industrial manipulators in industry. This is an image-processing method for real-time responses to an abnormal situation or to external environment change in a work object by utilizing camera-image information of an industrial manipulator. The object recognition method proposed in this paper uses the Otsu method, a thresholding technique based on separation of the V channel containing color information and the S channel, in which it is easy to separate the background from the HSV channel in order to improve the recognition rate of the existing Harris Corner algorithm. Through this study, when the work object is not placed in the correct position due to external factors or from being twisted, the position is calculated and provided to the industrial manipulator.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the experience of children with a schizophrenic parent. Methods: The research methods included biographical in-depth interviews, structured questionnaires, and child's drawings. Data were collected from September until November, 2005 at one university hospital, and interviews were recorded on audio tapes and thereby transcribed. The subjects were three adolescent children (10~15 years old) of a parent with schizophrenia. Results: This study has five themes: It is often the case that the children with a schizophrenic parent are uninformed about their parent's illness, have difficulties dealing with symptoms are confused about their parent's image and display contradictory feelings of fear and sympathy toward their father; The children tend to harbor expectations on mother's role in the family affairs, and simultaneously show pity for her; Family relations without solidarity caused by the absence of their father make the children feel severance, separation, and isolation in and out of the family; The children feel the burden to assume additional household responsibilities; The children are reluctant to mention their father's disease. Conclusion: the study subjects have met negativeness in both developmental characteristics and needs, which supports the need for intervention programs that meet their actual experience.

  • Organizations and customers lose if business activities are discontinued by an incident of information systems under the current business environment because they pursue real time enterprise and on demand enterprise. The loss includes the intangible decline in brand image, customer separation, and the tangible loss such as decrease in business profits. Thus, it is necessary to have preparedness in advance and mitigation for minimization of a loss due to the business discontinuity and IT risks. This paper described a IT risk assessment case about domestic construction company.

  • This paper presents computer graphics applying the traditional Korean house(Hanok) style interior to unit-care space of Welfare Facility and proposes the possibility as interior design and construction materials. In this paper, the proposed computer graphic-based model is a single-story building that provides convenient traffic between rooms. Computer graphic-based model is presented by Auto CAD, 3D program (Sketch-UP v.8), rendering program (Podium v.2) based on the traditional Korean house and related work of unit-care welfare facility. Computer graphic-based model that combined unit-care and the traditional Korean house has the following characteristics. In each room of living space, wallpaper and flooring Korean paper(Hnaji) is considered and windows, door, furniture of traditional pattern were placed. The living room(Daechung) that is representative of the traditional Korean house and the corridor (toenmaru) are the elements to save the image of the traditional Korean house as much as possible. Especially, the corridor (toenmaru) is placed to conveniently use in nursing-care facility and home-care support facility. A public space is placed around the inside court (An-madang), while the living space (unit-care) has a sense of independence by separation. Bathroom and kitchen have a modern design for functionality than aesthetic elements.

  • The design of optimal filter yielding optimal texture feature separation is a most effective technique in many torture analyzing areas, such as perception of surface, object, shape and depth. But, most optimal filter design approaches are restricted to the issue of computational complexity and supervised problems. In this paper, Our proposed method yields new insight into the design of optimal Gabor filters for segmenting multiple texture images. The optimal frequency of Gator filter is turned to the optimal frequency of the distinct texture in frequency domain. In order to show the performance of the designed filters, we have attempted to build a various texture images. Our experimental results show that the performance of the system is very successful.

  • On today, human is going to develop machine by using mutual communication to machine. Including vision - based HCI(Human Computer Interaction), the technique which to recognize finger and to track finger is important in HCI systems, in HCI systems. In order to divide finger, this paper uses more effectively dividing the technique using subtraction which is separation of background and foreground, as well as to divide finger from limited background and cluttered background. In order to divide finger, the finger is recognized to make "Template-Matching" by identified fingertip images. And, identified gestures be compared the tracked gesture after tracking recognized finger. In this paper, after obtaining interest area, not only using subtraction image and template-matching but to perform template-matching in the area. So, emphasis is placed on decreasing perform speed and reaction speed, and we propose technique which is more effectively recognizing gestures.

  • Two-dimensional gel electrophoresis (2-DGE) is one of the most important technologies for high-resolution separation of proteins for proteomics. In this study, we present a detail 2-DGE protocol which allows detection and quantification of total plant proteins separated on gels to improve matching in image analysis. This protocol highlighted here may be useful for researchers, who like to first study for the development of protein biomarkers involved in development, biotic and abiotic stresses in plant.

  • This study has regard to classification by using multi-temporal SAR data. Multi-temporal JERS-1 SAR images are used for extract the land cover information and possibility. So far, land cover information extracted by high resolution aerial photo, satellite images, and field survey. This study developed on multi-temporal land cover status monitoring and coherence information mapping can be processing by L band SAR image. From July, 1997 to October, 1998 JERS SAR images (9 scenes) coherence values are analyzed and then extracted land cover information factors, so on. This technique which forms the basis of what is called SAR Interferometry or InSAR for short has also been employed in spaceborne systems. In such systems the separation of the antennas, called the baseline is obtained by utilizing a single antenna in a repeat pass.

  • Risidual stress of cylindrical glass rods are measured by photoelasticity to study the variation of stresses with respect to heat treatment temperatures. In order to measure the stresses accurately, fringe sharpening and multiplication techniques are applied to the determination of photoelastic fringe orders. Filon's separationmethod is used to resolve circumferential and redial stress ocmponents from isochromatic fringes which are the same as in-plane maximum shearing stresses. According to the photoelastic measurements, residual stress is increased as the heat treatment temperature of the rods is raised from $560^{\circ}C$ to $650^{\circ}C$ All the circumferential stress components are changed from tensile stresses to compressive ones at approximate $R_m$/$R_o$ = 0.6, where $R_o$/ is outer radius and $R_m$any measured radius. This analysis shows that residual stresses of the glass rods approach zero if the rods are heat-treated near the strain point.

  • The purpose of this study was to process bio-active glass ceramic composite, reinforced with sapphire fibers, by hot press. Also to study the interface of the matrix and the sapphire fiber, and the mechanical properties. Glass raw materials melted in Pt crucible at 1300$^{\circ}C$ during 3.5 hours. The melt was crushed in ball mill and then crushed material, ground and sieved to $<40{\beta}{\mu}m$. Sapphire fibers cut (30mm) and aligned. Powder and fibers hot pressed. The micrographs show good bonding between the matrix and the fiber and no porosity in the glass matrix. This means ideal fracture phenomena. Glass is fractured before the fiber. This is indication of good fracture strength. EDXS showing aluminum rich phase and crystalline phase. Bright field image of the matrix showing crystalline phase. Also diffraction pattern of TEM showing the crystalline phase and more than one phase. Strength of the samples was determined by 3 point bend testing. Strength of the 10vol% sample was approximately 69MPa, while strength of the control sample is 35MPa. Conclusions through this study as follow: 1. Micrographs show no porosity in the glass matrix and the interface. 2. The interface between the fiber and the glass matrix show no gaps. 3. Fracture of the glass indicates characteristic fiber-matrix separation. 4. Presence of crystalline phase at high processing temperature. 5. Sapphire is compatible with bioactive glass.
