Recently, a generation of high quality mosaic images from video sequences has been attempted by a variety of investigations. Among the matter of investigation, in this paper, generation on stereo mosaic utilizing airborne-video sequence images is focused upon. The stereo mosaic is made by creating left and right mosaic which are fabricated by front and rear slices having different viewing angle in consecutive video frames. For making the stereo mosaic, motion parameters which are able to define geometric relationship between consecutive video frames are determined. For determining motion parameters, affine model which is able to explain relative motion parameters is applied by this paper. The mosaicing method using relative motion parameters is called by free mosaic. The free mosaic proposed in this paper consists of 4 step processes: image registration with reference to first frame using affine model, front and rear slicing, stitching line definition and image mosaicing. As the result of experiment, the left and right mosaic image, anaglyphic image for stereo mosaic images are showed and analyzed y-parallax for checking accuracy.

In this paper, we propose the human identification system based on Hidden Markov model using gait. Since each gait cycle consists of a set of continuous motion states and transition across states has probabilistic dependences, individual gait can be modeled using Hidden Markov model. We assume that individual gait consists of N discrete transitions and we propose gait feature representation, Modified Motion Silhouette Image (MMSI) to represent and recognize individual gait. MMSI is defined as a gray-level image and it provides not only spatial information but also temporal information. The experimental results show gait recognition performance of proposed system.
A non-invasive respiratory gated radiotherapy system like those based on external anatomic motion gives better comfortableness to patients than invasive system on treatment. However, higher correlation between the external and internal anatomic motion is required to increase the effectiveness of non-invasive respiratory gated radiotherapy. Both of invasive and non-invasive methods need to track the internal anatomy with the higher precision and rapid response. Especially, the non-invasive method has more difficulty to track the target position successively because of using only image processing. So we developed the system to track the motion for a non-invasive respiratory gated system to accurately find the dynamic position of internal structures such as the diaphragm and tumor. The respiratory organ motion tracking apparatus consists of an image capture board, a fluoroscopy system and a processing computer. After the image board grabs the motion of internal anatomy through the fluoroscopy system, the computer acquires the organ motion tracking data by image processing without any additional physical markers. The patients breathe freely without any forced breath control and coaching, when this experiment was performed. The developed pattern-recognition software could extract the target motion signal in real-time from the acquired fluoroscopic images. The range of mean deviations between the real and acquired target positions was measured for some sample structures in an anatomical model phantom. The mean and max deviation between the real and acquired positions were less than 1mm and 2mm respectively with the standardized movement using a moving stage and an anatomical model phantom. Under the real human body, the mean and maximum distance of the peak to trough was measured 23.5mm and 55.1mm respectively for 13 patients' diaphragm motion. The acquired respiration profile showed that human expiration period was longer than the inspiration period. The above results could be applied to respiratory-gated radiotherapy.

We present a sequential factorization method using singular value decomposition (SVD) for recovering both the three-dimensional shape of an object and the motion of camera from a sequence of images. We employ paraperpective projection [6] for camera model to handle significant translational motion toward the camera or across the image. The proposed mthod not only quickly gives robust and accurate results, but also provides results at each frame becauseit is a sequential method. These properties make our method practically applicable to real time applications. Considerable research has been devoted to the problem of recovering motion and shape of object from image [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] [9]. Among many different approaches, we adopt a factorization method using SVD because of its robustness and computational efficiency. The factorization method based on batch-type computation, originally proposed by Tomasi and Kanade [1] proposed the feature trajectory information using singular value decomposition (SVD). Morita and Kanade [10] have extenened [1] to asequential type solution. However, Both methods used an orthographic projection and they cannot be applied to image sequences containing significant translational motion toward the camera or across the image. Poleman and Kanade [11] have developed a batch-type factorization method using paraperspective camera model is a sueful technique, the method cannot be employed for real-time applications because it is based on batch-type computation. This work presents a sequential factorization methodusing SVD for paraperspective projection. Initial experimental results show that the performance of our method is almost equivalent to that of [11] although it is sequential.
The stereoscopic three-dimensional (3D) display provides a 3D image by inducing binocular disparity for the observers who wear special glasses. With the rapid progress in flat panel display technologies, the stereoscopic 3D display is becoming a new benefit-model of the current display industry, and several kinds of commercial stereoscopic 3D products have been released and are attracting people. Nowadays, the motion picture quality of the 3D image becomes as important as resolution or luminance since most of the commercial 3D products are 3D televisions or 3D monitors which are required to display a clear motion 3D image. In this paper, an analysis and simulation of the motion picture quality of stereoscopic 3D image is proposed, and a comparison of the motion picture performance among the current stereoscopic 3D technologies is also provided.
This paper proposes an image processing algorithm to stabilize shaken scenes of UAV(Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) caused by vehicle self-vibration and aerodynamic disturbance. The proposed method stabilizes images by compensating estimated shake motion which is evaluated from global motion. The global motion between two continuous images modeled by 6 parameter warping model is estimated by non-linear square method based on Gauss-Newton algorithm with excluding outlier region. The shake motion is evaluated by subtracting the global motion from aerial vehicle motion obtained by averaging global motion. Experimental results show that the proposed method stabilize shaken scenes effectively.
In this paper, we suggest the method of 3D facial synthesis using the motion of 2D facial images. We use the optical flow-based method for estimation of motion. We extract parameterized motion vectors using optical flow between two adjacent image sequences in order to estimate the facial features and the facial motion in 2D image sequences. Then, we combine parameters of the parameterized motion vectors and estimate facial motion information. We use the parameterized vector model according to the facial features. Our motion vector models are eye area, lip-eyebrow area, and face area. Combining 2D facial motion information with 3D facial model action unit, we synthesize the 3D facial model.

This paper proposed a method that detects emergency situations in a video stream using MHI (Motion History Image) and template matching for a video-based intelligent security system. The proposed method creates a MHI of each human object through image processing technique such as background removing based on GMM (Gaussian Mixture Model), labeling and accumulating the foreground images, then the obtained MHI is compared with the existing MHI templates for detecting an emergency situation. To evaluate the proposed emergency detection method, a set of experiments on the dataset of video clips captured from a security camera has been conducted. And we successfully detected emergency situations using the proposed method. In addition, the implemented system also provides MMS (Multimedia Message Service) so that a security manager can deal with the emergency situation appropriately.

This paper presents a method for Digital Image Motion Restoration by inverse filtering. In order to onstruct optimal Restoration filter, We exactly have to model the degradation process, and therefrom, derive the inverse filter which has inverse charateristics of the degradation model. An Image taken from object which moves fast, is o suffer blurring. it can be modeled by integration process mathematically and analyzed to convolve a rectangular window over an image. in this paper, We analyzed it in the frequency domain, and studied a method for motion restoration using inverse filter has a directional Sinc property.

Light Field (LF) image can be understood as a set of images captured by a multi-view camera array at the same time. The changes among views can be modeled by a general motion model such as affine motion model. In this paper, we study the impact of affine coding tool of Versatile Video Coding (VVC) on LF image compression. Our experimental results show a small contribution by affine coding tool in overall LF image compression of roughly 0.2% - 0.4%.
