컬러 영상 부호화를 위한 영역 기반 스펙트럴 상관 추정기 (Region-based Spectral Correlation Estimator for Color Image Coding)

  • 본 논문은 휘도 성분 영상으로부터 컬러 성분 영상들을 추정 부호화함으로써 높은 압축률을 달성할 수 있는 영역 기반 스펙트럴 상관 추정 부호화 방법에 관한 것이다. 제안된 방법은 3단계로 구성되어 있다. 우선, 정규 색차합 영상과 휘도 영상을 이용해 산출한 Y/C 비트 평면합 영상을 대상으로 영상 분할을 수행하여 영역들의 형상 정보를 추출한다. 이후, 각 영역 단위로 휘도 영상과 R, B 영상 간의 근사화 자승 오차가 최소가 되도록 하는 비례 인자와 가감 인자를 산출한다. 최종적으로, 각 영역의 비례 인자와 가감 인자를 비트스트림으로 부호화한다. 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션 결과에 따르면, 제안된 방법은 동일한 PSNR에서 두 칼라 성분 영상을 부호화하기 위해 소요되는 bpp를 비교할 때, JPEG/베이스라인 혹은 JEPG2000/EBCOT 알고리즘에 비해 2배 혹은 3배 이상의 압축률을 제공한다.

  • Machine parts and structures of a change in the displacement and strain can be evaluated safety is one of the important factors. Typically the strain gauge has been employed to measure the displacement and strain. However, this contact-type measurement method has disadvantages that are not measured under condition of specific object shape, surface roughness and temperature. In particularly, 3 point bending and 4 point bending test not use strain gauge. So its test used cross head displacement and deflect meter. Digital Image Correlation measurement methods have many advantages. It is non contact-type measurement method to measure the object displacements and strain. In addition, it is possible to measure the Map of full field displacements and strain. In this paper, measured the 3 point bending deflection using the Digital Image Correlation methods. In order to secure the reliability, Digital Image Correlation method and universal test machine were compared.

고해상도 영상의 정사보정 정확도 검증 및 밴드별 상관성 비교연구 (Comparison of High Resolution Image by Ortho Rectification Accuracy and Correlation Each Band)

  • 본 연구는 고해상도 위성영상을 정사보정하여 위치정확도를 검증하고 정사보정된 고해상도 영상간의 밴드 상관성과 NDVI 상관성을 분석하는데 목적이 있다. KOMPSAT2와 IKONOS 영상의 정사보정은 RPC자료로 정오차를 제거하고 GPS측량자료로 비평면적 왜곡을 보정하였다. 그리고 정사영상내 동일한 위치의 영상점을 선점하여 각 영상의 영상점과 GPS 측량점간 위치정확도를 비교하고 영상간 영상점의 위치정확도를 분석하였다. 밴드 상관성과 NDVI 상관성은 구입시 정사보정된 Quickbird영상과 항공사진을 추가하여 밴드별로 DN값의 기술통계를 구하고 각 영상간 밴드상관성과 NDVI의 상관성을 분석하였다. 그 결과, KOMPSAT2와 IKONOS 정사영상의 위치정확도 비교에서 각 영상내 영상점과 GPS 측량점간 RMSE는 KOMPSAT2가 3.41m, IKONOS가 1.45m로 1.96m의 차이를 보였고 영상점간 RMSE는 1.88m였다. Quickbird, KOMPSAT2, IKONOS, 항공사진을 이용한 영상간 밴드와 NDVI 상관성은 Band2에서 항공사진과 KOMPSAT2의 상관성이 높은 것을 제외하면 모든 Band와 NDVI에서 Quickbird 와 IKONOS의 상관성이 높게 나타났다. 밴드간 상관성이 낮은 경우는 Band1에서 Quickbird와 항공사진, Band2와 Band4에서 KOMPSAT2와 IKONOS, Band3에서 KOMPSAT2와 항공사진이었고 NDVI는 KOMPSAT2가 QuickBird, IKONOS 모두와 낮은 상관성을 보였다.

다중 영상으로부터 DEM 생성을 위한 정합기법의 성능향상 연구 (Research of Matching Performance Improvement for DEM generation from Multiple Images)

  • 본 논문에서는 다중 항공영상을 이용한 영상정합기법과, 그 성능을 향상시키기 위한 시도들에 대해 기술한다. 일반적으로 영상간의 정합은 하나의 기준영상을 기준으로 다른 영상과의 밝기값 상관계수를 이용한 유사도 분석으로 진행된다. 제안된 다중 영상 정합기법 알고리즘은 처리할 지역을 일정크기의 구역으로 나누고 각 구역에서 가장 정사영상에 가까운 영상을 기준으로 하여 Object space상에서 처리할 수 있는 방식이다. 이 방식을 통해 영상의 위치에 상관없이 균등한 품질의 DEM이 생성 가능함을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 차폐탐지 및 생성된 차폐지도를 통한 성능 향상 실험을 하였으며 그 결과 더욱 정확한 3차원 정보의 표현이 가능함을 확인할 수 있었다.

사회적 자아와 신체이미지가 외모관리 행동에 미치는 영향 : 남 녀 대학생을 중심으로 (The Effects of Social Self and Body Image on the Appearance Management Behavior: Focused on Male and Female College Students)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of social self and body image on the appearance management behavior. The data were collected via a self-administered questionnaire from 419 male and female college students in Jecheon and analyzed by factor analysis, cluster analysis, t-test, regression and correlation. The results of this study were as follows : 1. Body image classified into four factors- emotional, cognitive, behavioral body image and interest in weight. 2. There existed correlation between social self and body image. According to gender, there existed significant differences in social self, body image and appearance management behavior. 3. College students classified into two groups- high and low social self group according to the degree of social self. Two groups showed statistically significant differences in body image and appearance management behavior. 4. In male and female groups, social self and body image influenced to the various appearance management behavior according to gender. The most important appearance management behavior which was affected by social self and body image was diet.

퍼지신경망을 이용한 도로 영상의 양불량 판정 (Determination of Road Image Quality Using Fuzzy-Neural Network)

  • The confidence of information from image processing depends on the original image quality. Enhancing the confidence by an algorithm has an essential limitation. Especially, road images are exposed to lots of noisy sources, which makes image processing difficult. We, in this paper, propose a FNN (fuzzy-neural network) capable oi deciding the quality of a road image prior to extracting lane-related information. According to the decision by the FNN, road images are classified into good or bad to extract lane-related information. A CDF (cumulative distribution function), a function of edge histogram, is utilized to construct input parameters of the FNN, it is based on the fact that the shape of the CDF and the image quality has large correlation. Input pattern vector to the FNN consists of ten parameters in which nine parameters are from the CDF and the other one is from intensity distribution of raw image. Correlation analysis shows that each parameter represents the image quality well. According to the experimental results, the proposed FNN system was quite successful. We carried out simulations with real images taken by various lighting and weather conditions and achieved about 99% successful decision-making.

Application of Image Super-Resolution to SDO/HMI magnetograms using Deep Learning

  • Image super-resolution (SR) is a technique that enhances the resolution of a low resolution image. In this study, we use three SR models (RCAN, ProSRGAN and Bicubic) for enhancing solar SDO/HMI magnetograms using deep learning. Each model generates a high resolution HMI image from a low resolution HMI image (4 by 4 binning). The pixel resolution of HMI is about 0.504 arcsec. Deep learning networks try to find the hidden equation between low resolution image and high resolution image from given input and the corresponding output image. In this study, we trained three models with HMI images in 2014 and test them with HMI images in 2015. We find that the RCAN model achieves higher quality results than the other two methods in view of both visual aspects and metrics: 31.40 peak signal-to-noise ratio(PSNR), Correlation Coefficient (0.96), Root mean square error (RMSE) is 0.004. This result is also much better than the conventional bi-cubic interpolation. We apply this model to a full-resolution SDO/HMI image and compare the generated image with the corresponding Hinode NFI magnetogram. As a result, we get a very high correlation (0.92) between the generated SR magnetogram and the Hinode one.

  • New Image registration techniques are developed for determining geometric distortions between two images of the same scene. First, the properties of the Fourier transform of a two dimensional function under the affine transformation are given. As a result, techniques for the estimation of the coefficients of the distortion model using the spectral frequency information are developed. Image registration can be achieved by applying the fast Fourier transform (FFT) technique for cross correlation of misregistered imagery to determine spatial distances. The correlation results may be rather broad, making detection of the peak difficult, what can be suppressed by enhancing cross-correlation technique. Yield greatly improves the delectability and high precision of image misregistration.

고궁의 경관이미지와 수목에 의한 배경경관 차폐의 상관관계 연구 -덕수궁 내 전통건축물 주변 수목의 궁 밖 현대건축물에 대한 경관차폐를 중심으로- (A Study on Correlation between Landscape Image of Korean Palace and Trees' View Blockage of Buildings around It)

  • Many Korean palaces such as Deoksu Palace and Kyungbok Palace are located in downtown Seoul. Modern high-rise buildings around the palace have been the background scenery of traditional architecture in it. In this case, such landscapes mixed with traditional images and contemporary images can give a negative impression to visitors watching from inside the palace. In this study, we analysed the correlation between landscape image of Deoksu Palace and trees' view blockage of buildings around it with three independent variables. The first variable is completely blocked view of buildings around the palace by the trees. The second variable is half-blocked view of buildings around the palace by the trees. The third variable is the view of buildings around the palace that is not blocked by the trees. The analysis showed that there were some significant correlations between landscape image of Deoksu Palace and trees' view blockage of buildings around it. It also showed that the view blockage ratio by the trees has positive correlation with improvement of landscape image of the palace.

Mapping Water Quality of Yongdam Reservoir Using Landsat ETM Imagery

  • Chlorophyll-a concentration maps of Yongdam reservoir in September and October, 2001 were produced using Landsat ETM imagery and the in-situ water quality measurement data. In-situ water samples were collected on 16th September and 18th October during the satellite overpass. The correlations between the DN values of the imagery and the values of chlorophyll-a concentration were analyzed. The visible bands(band 1, 2, 3) and the near infrared band(band 4) data of September image showed the correlation coefficient values higher than 0.9. The October image showed correlation coefficient values of about 0.7 due to the low variations of chlorophyll-a concentration. Regression models between the DN values of the Landsat ETM image and the chlorophyll-a concentration have been developed for each image. The developed regression models were then applied to each image, and finally the chlorophyll-a distribution maps of Yongdam reservoir were produced. The produced maps showed the spatial distribution of the chlorophyll-a in Yongdam reservoir in a synoptic way so that the tropic state could be easily monitored and analysed in the spatial domain.
