  • In this study, a database was established by analyzing the record data research produced in ice hockey sports. The deployed data verification with Ice hockey reference service was demonstrated with ice hockey officials and players. This research utilized the data stored in the KNSU Datanest data repository and developed PDF parsers for batch processing of records. Among the types of records, the game summary, team roster, team statistics, and player statistics files were collected, and tables were extracted from the records. PDF records were converted to text in CSV format which are converted to DataFrame and loaded into the database. Out of the total 22 types of records, 4 types were constructed with OO data parsed as element values. Data verification has found no problems with the quality of the data deployed, showing a high satisfaction with providing 66 factors against the 30 factors provided by the service previously used.

  • Objective: There is a lack of studies using the 3D-2D image registration techniques on the mechanism of a shoulder injury for ice hockey players. This study aimed to analyze in vivo 3D glenohumeral joint arthrokinematics in collegiate ice hockey athletes and compare shoulder scaption with or without a hockey stick using the 3D-2D image registration technique. Method: We recruited 12 male elite ice hockey players (age, 19.88 ± 0.65 years). For arthrokinematic analysis of the common shoulder abduction movements of the injury pathogenesis of ice hockey players, participants abducted their dominant arm along the scapular plane and then grabbed a stick using the same motion under C-arm fluoroscopy with 16 frames per second. Computed tomography (CT) scans of the shoulder complex were obtained with a 0.6-mm slice pitch. Data from the humerus translation distances, scapula upward rotation, anterior-posterior tilt, internal to external rotation angles, and scapulohumeral rhythm (SHR) ratio on glenohumeral (GH) joint kinematics were outputted using a MATLAB customized code. Results: The humeral translation in the stick hand compared to the bare hand moved more anterior and more superior until the abduction angle reached 40°. When the GH joint in the stick hand was at the maximal abduction of the scapula, the scapula was externally rotated 2~5° relative to 0°. The SHR ratio relative to the abduction along the scapular plane at 40° indicated a statistically significant difference between the two groups (p < 0.05). Conclusion: With arm loading with the stick, the humeral and scapular kinematics showed a significant correlation in the initial section of the SHR. Although these correlations might be difficult in clinical settings, ice hockey athletes can lead to the movement difference of the scapulohumeral joints with inherent instability.

In three dimensional linear velocity of blade the Y axis showed maximum linear velocity almost impact, the X axis(horizontal direction) and the Z axis(vertical direction) maximum linear velocity of blade did not show at impact but after impact this will resulted influence upon hitting puck. 2. The resultant linear velocity of each segment of right arm showed maximum resultant linear velocity at impact. It could be suggest that the right arm swing patterns is kind of push-like movement. therefore the upper arm is the most important role in the right arm swing. 3. The three dimensional anatomical angular displacement of trunk in flexion-extension showed flexion all around the wrist shot. The angular displacement of trunk in internal-external rotation showed internal rotation angle at the backswing top and and increased the angle after the impact. while there is no significant adduction-abduction. 4. The three dimensional anatomical angular displacement of trunk showed most important role in wrist shot. and is follwed by shoulder joints, in addition the movement of elbow/wrist joints showed least to the shot. this study result showed upperlimb of left is more important role than upperlimb of right.

  • As the quality of life has improved with development of science and technology, desire for better quality of life of disable people has also increased. Currently, prejudiced views of disabled people in South Korea are changing, but sports for all disabled people is not revitalized and social support is also inadequate. In developed countries, administration and systems for sports among people with disabilities are provided at the consumer level, and many companies willingly provide support to disabled athletes. However, in South Korea, low awareness of sports for disabled people is companied by minimal support companies. In order for South Korea to advance, support for the disable sports players is needed, especially sports-wear that fits their body conditions and differences game playing from ordinary sports players. This study specifically focused on the ice sledge hockey players, taking into account the complaints on their jersey and their special conditions through motion analysis while sleds. For the easy use of the hockey, armhole depth and sleeve breadth was reduced and sleeve hem was designed for flexibility of sleeve such that it does not slide down. Also, because only the front of the Jersey is tucked in the pants, the side vent was designed to be deep such that the back hem is prevented from being pulled. Sportswear pattern making for the players with disabilities required to account for distinct body characteristics, as compared to the ordinary players. Thus, studies that develops sports-wear design for those with disabilities contributes to the qualitative development of sports for people with disabilities.
