An study on quality evaluation of information services (정보서비스의 품질평가에 관한 고찰)

  • Up to recently, information service have emphasized mainly on efficiencies of information collection, storage, process. But, now, many people take interest in criteria and evaluation on quality of information itself and its services because of growth of electronic materials and development of telecommunication. Especially, since the greater part of infomation is made gradually digital format, quality of information service regards as of great importance. This study attempts to investigate the quality problem in information services and its a n.0, pplication. Also, to su n.0, pport high quality, it is needed criteria of information services to evaluate and measure. To understand quality of information services, This articles deal with concept of quality on information related sector, quality management, the reason of importance of information quality, quality work of information services. There is little method to measure and evaluate quality of internet services. So it is necessary to study on internet quality, user's selection on its quality, and development on high quality site.

A Personal Agent for Combining the Home Appliance Services and Its Learning Mechanism

  • In this paper, we propose a new personal agent for generating the combinational services from using history of appliances in the home network environment. In such environment, it is required that flexible services can be provided by combining services of appliances and unskillful users can use these services without knowledge. So, it is needed to satisfy following: (1) combinational services can be suggested automatically and (2) the increase of services can be followed. Then, we propose a new personal agent that suggests combinational services by learning the lifestyle. Its learning mechanism is based on Self-Organizing Map (SOM), and can follow the increase of services. We implemented the the agent, and use history of a user for two weeks was made to learn. As the result, we confirmed that the agent can extract services related with time or location and can suggest combinational services.

Does cost matter: How customer adopts the fee-based online content services?

  • As Internet usage widely grows, online content services such as newspaper, magazine, music, game and movie are provided with a fee-based subscription. Many content services providers consider charging a usage fee into its service provisions as one of the Internet business models for increasing revenue. There are customer resistances to adopting the fee-based service provision on the Web. Previous research in information systems (IS)has focused on the analysis of adoption of information technology or systems in the individual ororganization level. No principle research has been carried out on the user adoption behavior of online content services provisions. As users actively access content services on the Web, it needs to explore user adoption behavior in different settings. Many IS researcher have employedquantitative approaches, even though they deal with the process of user behavior regarding the information technology or system. In this study, we attempt to discover how customers adopt the fee-based provision of online content services by employing grounded theory, one of the principal qualitative research methods.

  • BIog services have been developed in 5 years and also many companies have introduced many kinds of blog services as well. It is expected that the blog services will grow continuously. As the number of blog users is growing rapidly, the blogs progressively exert their influences on our society and are directly connected to the success or the failure of the portal site businesses. Thus it is necessary to investigate users' motivation to use blog and to predict their intention of continuous uses of the blog. Specifically, this study is to focus on user's motivation and user's psychological status in using the blogs. Furthermore, this study explores their causal relationships. The study tries to investigate what motivations make users to use the blogs on the regular basis. Its results show that two motivation factors, intrinsic and extrinsic motivation factors, significantly affect user's flow experiences and the flow experiences affect general use of the blogs.

  • Responding to the growing trend toward information society through digitalization of relating tools, a specialized information center is called for the change in its role. It must create the more value-added service for customers by menas of combination of various digital media with communication network, domestic and foreign. This study analyzes the theoretical framework and concrete examples of digital information services in special information center pursuing user-centered service. To make an efficient execution of user-centered information service, the effort is needed to develop and enlarge digital information services improving the level of service.

Specificity and Commitment: UX approach to Netflix

  • The strategy that using data collection from Netflix uses for its services is different from traditional human interaction and the communication, and it is represented by the systematic algorithm that rooted from intelligent information system based on the human interaction and communication. These characteristics allowed the study to reflect the influence of 'Asset specificity' which affects the continuous consumption of the media services of Netflix users through economic psychological analysis based on transactional cost economics. The result from the survey on actual Netflix users, three types of specificity (Space specificity, time specificity, relational specificity) reduced perceived searching cost whereas perceived instrumentality has increased, eventually reinforces the commitment to the service. This implies that the service characteristics of Netflix, trying to communicate with the individuals based on intelligent information system are distinct from the existing platform services and it gives the significance of work very effective for user's continuous consumption of the media services.

The Role of Relational Commitment and its Antecedents in User Loyalty of Mobile Messenger Services (모바일 메신저 서비스에서 관계적 몰입과 선행 요인이 사용자 충성도에 미치는 영향)

  • Mobile messenger services (MMSs), such as Kakaotalk, Wetalk, Line, and Whatsapp, are gaining popularity worldwide because of communicating with other people without any cost. We examined key antecedents of user loyalty to understand user's decision-making process in the MMS environment. To capture a long-term relationship with service providers, we posit relational commitment and user satisfaction as key predictors of user loyalty. Moreover, the effects of perceived usefulness, perceived enjoyment, and corporate image on user's decision-making processes were examined. The proposed model was tested by applying partial least squares to data from 220 experienced Kakaotalk users. The findings of this study found that both relational commitment and user satisfaction play an important role in enhancing user loyalty in the MMS context. The analysis results indicate that corporate image influences relational commitment and user loyalty through user satisfaction. The analysis results help MMS providers establish management or marketing strategies to effectively improve user loyalty.

System Access Control Technique for Secure Cloud Computing

  • Along with the diversification of digital content services using wired/wireless networks, the market for the construction of base systems is growing rapidly. Cloud computing services are recognized for a reasonable cost of service and superior system operations. Cloud computing is convenient as far as system construction and maintenance are concerned; however, owing to the security risks associated with the system construction of actual cloud computing service, the ICT(Information and Communications Technologies) market is lacking regardless of its many advantages. In this paper, we conducted an experiment on a cloud computing security enhancement model to strengthen the security aspect of cloud computing and provide convenient services to the users. The objective of this study is to provide secure services for system operation and management while providing convenient services to the users. For secure and convenient cloud computing, a single sign-on (SSO) technique and a system access control technique are proposed. For user authentication using SSO, a security level is established for each user to facilitate the access to the system, thereby designing the system in such a manner that the rights to access resources of the accessed system are not abused. Furthermore, using a user authentication ticket, various systems can be accessed without a reauthorization process. Applying the security technique to protect the entire process of requesting, issuing, and using a ticket against external security threats, the proposed technique facilitates secure cloud computing service.

An Appraoch for Preserving Loaction Privacy using Location Based Services in Mobile Cloud Computing

  • Mobile Cloud Computing is today's emerging technology. Customers enjoy the services and application from this combination of mobile technology and cloud computing. Beside all these benefits it also increases the concerns regarding privacy of users, while interacting with this new paradigm One of the services is Location based services, but to get their required services user has to give his/her current location to the LBS provider that is violation of location privacy of mobile client. Many approaches are in literature for preserve location privacy but some has computation restriction and some suffer from lack of privacy. In this paper we proposed a novel idea that not only efficient in its protocol but also completely preserves the user's privacy. The result shows that by sharing just service name and a large enough geographic area (e.g. a city) user gets required information from the server by doing little client side processing We perform experiments at client side by developing and testing an android based mobile client application to support our argument.

The effects of OTTservice information system quality on reuse intention (OTT 서비스 정보시스템 품질이 재사용의도에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose With the continuous growth of the OTT services market, trust issues are becoming increasingly important, but research on this topic is still in its infancy. The purpose of this study is to identify the structural relationship between information system quality and reuse intention of OTT services and to analyze the impact of trust and user satisfaction. Design/methodology/approach This study proposed a research model based on the information system success model. In this study, a survey was conducted among 236 Korean users who have used OTT services within the last six months. Findings The results of the analysis showed that text quality and visual quality had a significant impact on trust in OTT services, with text quality having the largest impact. System quality and text quality also had a significant impact on trust in OTT service providers. However, visual quality did not have a statistically significant effect on trust in the service provider. Trust in the OTT service and the service provider was analyzed to have a significant impact on user satisfaction. However, it did not have a statistically significant impact on reuse intention. These findings have important implications for improving trust in OTT services to increase users' reuse intentions. It is also expected to contribute to further expanding the field of OTT service research.
