The subway in Seoul, Korea has been constructed and operating 8 lines and 265 subway stations since 1974. And now it' been operated in the metropolis like Busan, Daegu, Gwangju, Incheon. The subway system is being given a great deal of weight on the public transportation system. It means that the citizens of seoul are getting exposured to the underground environment more and more. As the quality of life is getting better, the desire for a pleasant(healthy) environment has been increased. so we have to study effective environment management plans for the subway, When considering Indoor air pollution as another serious environment problem.

To explain the performance gap between firms in the same industry, this study focuses on innovation. It provides a new framework using the dynamic-capability view based on empirical analysis of domestic businesses. The findings of this study are as follows: First, when the uncertainty and competition intensity in the business environment and the level of innovation have “fit”, it means that when the former goes up, so does the latter. In this regard, when the innovation capability of a firm is high, being “fit” means that the level of innovation is also high. When there was fitting innovation on industrial environment and innovation capacity, companies were able to achieve relatively high performance. Also, it was confirmed that instead of innovation for innovation capacity, innovation for industrial environment led to relatively higher performances of firms.

Like other artificial architectures, the residence is also hard to be changed after once it has ever been built because its life is approximately estimated up to 20years. Furthermore, it may give big effect to residents as the life Quality. Because of these specificities, it seems to be important to forecast how demand of residential market will be changed and what kind of residential environment should be built in the future. First of all, we should consider about what is a current situation of residential environment in this country before beginning researching resident preferences. In addition, we will also research current and new residential style in other country, which should be concerned in. Finally, this study is researched by domestic male and female residents in their twenties and four ties on purpose to gain information what type of resident style they want and to suggest new ways of future residential environment.

The workplace environment monitoring system based on IP-USN proposed in this study measures and analyzes workplace environment information so as to provide services to provide better work environment and prevent occupational accidents caused by poor, shabby labor environment. This study presents the procedures to design and develop a system that monitors noise, humidity, vibration, temperature, and sensors installed in the workplace and sounds alarm when workers enter dangerous areas or are exposed to hazards. The author actually installed the IP-USN workplace environment monitoring system in a small workplace and confirmed its effectiveness.

This study deals with the investigation of recognition structure on architectural environment and reconstruction of it by artificial intelligence. To test the possibility of the reconstruction, recognition structure on architectural environment is analysed and each steps of the structure are matched with computational methods. Edge Detection and Neural Network were selected as matching methods to each steps of recognition process. Visual perception system established by selected methods is trained and tested, and the result of the system is compared with that of experiment of human. Assuming that the artificial system resembles the process of human recognition on architectural environment, does the system give similar response of human? The result shows that it is possible to establish artificial visual perception system giving similar response with that of human when it models after the recognition structure and process of human.

This study focuses on the identity establishment of library and information science. It suggests, as a way of establishing the identity, the necessity of promoting of business environment in library and information science. For this purpose, the study examines Korean cases that have damaged the identity, and analyzes why such damage has been done and how it affects the fostering of business environment in library and information. It also diagnoses the possibility of identity establishment such as, for example, professionalism of the librarian and creation of jobs through the fostering of business environment in library and information science.

Cooling garments are being considered for reducing heat strain in hot environment. We evaluated the effectiveness of ice gel-based cooling vest in hot environment both resting and exercising. Four male subjects were exposed to heat(4$0^{\circ}C$, 50%RH) with vest or without it. The results were as follows; In case of the trial wearing ice gel-based cooling vest, total body weight loss, and local sweat volume were less than those without it. Mean skin temperature, rectal temperature, pulse, energy expenditure, temperature of inside clothes, and humidity of inside also were lower than those without cooling vest. By subjective thermal sensation, subjective humidity sensation, and thermal comfort sensation, it was proved that non-wearing vest decreased comfort than wearing that. These results suggested that wearing ice gel-based cooling vest reduced human heat strain in hot environment both resting and exercising.

Considering the present development situation of domestic apartment complexes, the development of environment-friendly apartment complexes is very important issue in Korea. At this point of time, it is very meaningful to understand the domestic development trend and the actual condition of environment-friendly apartment complexes and examine various problems about this and the possibilities fer development. Thus the purpose of this study is to accumulate basic data to establish planning direction and pertinent planning factors or the environment-friendly apartment complex for sustainable development. It is believed that the role of the related aspects such as administration, construction companies, designers and residents must be redefined in order to manage such problem. Planning factors for environment-friendly apartment complex should be developed systematically and more fit to the natural environment and residents in the aspect of district and community.

While the operator's working environment employs the digital devices and technology which are not be fully digitalized due to its technical constraints, it has been changed to the hybrid environment in which digital and analog elements are combined. The hybrid environments need to study its characteristics and the guidelines for the proper design and evaluation purpose. This paper describes the characteristics and evaluation guidelines for hybrid environment through studying the characteristics of digital and analog environment based on the related human factor guidelines and literatures. The result of this paper would be applied for the human machine system such as main control room in nuclear power plant working under hybrid environment. And also, it may be applied for the evaluation of the generic human working environment which digital and analog elements are jointly used.

The purpose of this study is to consider the importance of residential environment by grasping factors for residential environment, and also grasping the relationship between residential environment stress, residence coping style, and emotional intelligence. Self-report survey and emotional intelligence measuring tool developed by Wong & Law (2000) were conducted in this study to investigate the contents of residential environment stress, residence coping style, and emotional intelligence, and subjects of this study were students of D university. As a result of this study, residential environment stress that respondents recognized was not high, but stress in super ordinate stage of residential desire was higher than that in subordinate stage. Also as the result of conducting correlation analysis of the relationship between residential environment stress, residence coping style, and emotional intelligence, there was insignificant correlation. It is supposed that the result is caused by limited respondents in this study, and it is considered that more reliable analysis with expansive inspection will be required in the future study.
