Recently, as power and electronic devices have increased in frequency and capacity, it has become a major concern to protect electronic circuits and electronic components used in these devices from abnormal voltages such as various surges and pulse noise. To respond to variously rated voltages applied to power electronic devices, the rated voltages of various varistors can be obtained by controlling the size of internal particles of the varistor or controlling the number of layers of the varistor. During bonding, the problem of unbalanced thermal runaway occurring between the electrode and the varistor interface causes degradation of the varistor and shortens its life of the varistor. In this study, to solve the problem of unbalanced heat distribution of stacked varistors to adjust the operating voltage, the contents of the ZnO-based varistor composition were 96 wt% ZnO, 1 mol% Sb2O3, 1 mol% Bi2O3, 0.5 mol% CoO, 0.5 mol% MnO, and 1 mol% TiO2. A multi-layered ZnO varistor was modeled by bonding a single varistor with a composition in three layers according to the operating voltage. The thermal distribution of the triple-layered ZnO varistor was analyzed for the thermal runaway phenomenon that occurred during varistor operation using the finite element method according to Comsol 5.2.

To study a habit and life patten of a wild animal, this paper do a research on the location tracing system of wild animal by yagi-antenna low pass filter, angle tracking technology. Commonly, VHF Radio Telemetry is used for the location tracing system of wild animal. Considering movement, Previous yagi-antenna has 4-element and has advantage of portability but the other advantages are small and preference is weak. To make the advantage of yagi-antenna higher than previous one, Supposed technology adapt to 6-element and make out Narrow space yagi-antenna technology. Also, It supposes that AOA (:Angle of arrival) technology is applied to detecting technology for a close direction from received signal. Based on this study suggest that position tracing technology is so as to figure out a life patten and habit of a wild animal which live in a certain area.
This research deals with the behavior of Composite Box Girder Bridges (CBGBs) subjected to environmental effects such as solar radiation, atmospheric temperature, and wind speed. It is based on temperature and thermal stress results, which were recorded hourly from a full-scale experimental CBGB segment and Finite Element (FE) thermal analysis. The Hemi-cube method was adopted to achieve the accuracy in temperature distributions and variations in a composition system during the daily environmental variations. Analytical findings were compared with the experimental measurements, and a good agreement was found. On the other hand, parametric investigations are carried out to investigate the effect of the cross-section geometry and orientation of the longitudinal axis of CBGB on the thermal response and stress distributions. Based upon individual parametric investigations, some remarks related to the thermal loading parameters were submitted. Additionally, some observations about the CBGB configurations were identified, which must be taken into account in the design process. Finally, this research indicates that the design temperature distribution with a uniform differential between the concrete slab and the steel girder is inappropriate for describing the thermal impacts in design objective.

An elastic-plasticity model during the austenitic decomposition was derived and implemented to incorporate the two important deformation behaviors observed during the phase transformations: the volumetric strain and transformation induced plasticity due to the temperature change and phase transformation. To obtain transformed phase volume fractions during cooling, the fourth order Runge-Kutta method was used to solve the Kirkaldy's phase kinetics model which is function of temperature, austenitic grain size and chemical composition. The volumetric strain was calculated by considering the densities of constituent phases, while the transformation induced plasticity was based on the micro-plasticity due to the volume mismatch between soft austenitic phase and other harder phases. The constitutive equations were implemented into the implicit finite element software and a simple boundary value problem was chosen as a model problem to validate the effect of transformation plasticity on the deformation behavior of steel under cooling from high temperature. It was preliminary concluded that the transformation plasticity plays a critical role in relaxing the developed stress during forming and thus reducing the magnitude of springback.
Quaternary Jungok basalts are distributed along the old Hantan river in Mid-Korean Peninsula. They were flowed out from Mt. Ori and Upland (680 m), and they formed narrow and long basalt plateau showing the layers of 10 to 20 meters in thickness and about 95 km in length. Fifty seven samples were collected from the study area, and sixteen rock samples were selected and analysed for major and trace elements. The analyzed samples have alkalic composition and show a relatively restricted variation in major element chemistry (except MgO), as comparing to the that of trace element. Based on major element chemistry, a quantitative modelling of fractional crystallization by multiple linear regression method suggests that the chemical evolution of the evolved rocks can be generated by fractionation of olivine, plagioc1ase, clinopyroxene, and magnetite in proportion of 56 : 25 : 17 : 2, respectively. The calculated trace element abundances by mineral proportions estimated from major element modelling, however, underestimate the incompatible element concentrations in the evolved rocks. According to the incompatible element abundances, simple fractional crystallization process has difficulty to explain the chemical variation of the evolved rocks. It seems that the other processes, which enrichment of incompatible elements can occure without concomitant changes in major element compositions, are needed in order to explain the chemical variation of the Jungok basalts. Thus, the major elements and compatible trace elements variations of the Jungok basalts are due to fractional crystallization, but the incompatible elements variation is due to fractional crystallization superimposed on already varying concentrations caused by slightly different degrees of melting of the same source, and/or due to periodic replenishment, tapping and fractionation(RTF) processes.
This dissertation is about the development of PTC(Positive Temperature Coefficient) thermistor by composition method. A multilayer-type PTC samples were fabricated under optimal conditions after setting the experimental composition equation as $(0.90Ba+0.05Sr+0.05Ca)TiO_3+0.01TiO_3+0.01SiO_2+0.0008MnO_2+0.0018Nb_2O_5$ and their testing results were analyzed. The fabrication method of SMD(Surface Mounted Device) multilayer -type sample based on the composition ratio has the advantages in lowering its resistivity at room temperature, considerably, and increasing maximum current level, as needed. Although there is a disadvantage of peak resistivity drop by the multilayer, causing the increasement of thermal capacity. and thereby, increasing the switching delay time, a high applying voltage can increase the peak resistivity and shorten the switching delay time. The voltage-current characteristic showed that the more multilayers increased the initial maximum current and the transition voltage that increased the resistivity abruptly according to the curie point. The element it could be applied with the sensor for the fire detector.

In this study, the composition and physico-chemical characteristics of school waste which is located in B area, kyunggi-do was investigated. It is necessary to measure the characteristics of school waste to build the data-base for resource and recycling of waste. This school waste was composed of 12.25% of food wastes, 56.26% of papers, 9.26% of plastics&vinyls, 1.52% of textiles, 3.70% of wood, 0.11% of rubbers&leathers and others, respectively. Most of school wastes are mainly composed of paper and plastic waste and composition of combustible waste was about as 90%. From 3-components analysis, contents of moisture, combustible component, and ash was 5.72%, 88.29% and 5.98%, respectively. Moisture content was higher in Agricultural Dwelling school area compare to the urban dwelling school area. The chemical element of the school waste has the high order of carbon, oxygen, hydrogen on the dry basis of wastes and the low heating value of the MSW which is measured by calorimeter is shown as 3720.44kcal/kg.
The effects of co-doping with complex dopants of softeners, $La^{+3}$ and/or $Nb^{+5}$, and a hardener, $Fe^{+3}$, on the microstructural and piezoelectric properties of PZT ceramics with a composition of a rhombohedral-tetragonal morphotropic phase boundary, $PbZr_{0.53}Ti_{0.47}O_3$, were investigated. Unlike single-element doping, the complex doping of both the softener and hardener ions led to various compensation effects for the piezoelectric properties of the PZT ceramics. For 0.5 wt.% $La_2O_3$ softener and/or 0.5 wt.% $Nb_2O_5$ doped compositions, there were apparent hardener doping (compensation) effects for an addition of over 1.0 wt.% $Fe_2O_3$. For the $La_2O_3$ and/or $Nb_2O_5$ doped composition, the co-dopant $Fe_2O_3$ addition led to lower kp and $\varepsilon$r, and increased $Q_m$ values. The prepared PZT ceramics modified with complex soft dopants, $La^{+3}$ and $Nb^+$, as well as a hard dopant, $Fe^{+3}$, showed that the piezoelectric properties were stable with the compositional variations, which made it possible to establish piezoelectric performances with higher reliability and reproducibility. The most improved piezoelectric properties of enhanced $Q_m$ with $\varepsilon_r$ remaining higher $k_p$, were obtained in the PZT composition complexly doped with $La^{+3}$ and $Fe^{+3}$. From the results obtained in this study, the properties of compositionally modified PZT ceramics can also be tailored over a wider range by changing the dopant compositions to meet the specific requirements for underwater or other applications.
It has been stated that the outer skin of an architecture should be related to and express the interior programs. It was rather moral issue than practicality. In contemporary urban cities, this nicely-linked relationship between exterior and interior has become much more complex and, in many cases, is no more valid. It tends that contemporary architectural skin is somehow separately developed and has its own logic to be independent from what is inside. This research focuses on these sort of logical design process to make unique image of skin in which conceptual thinking, spatialization and materialization are mixed together. More specifically this study articulates' expandable patternization process' based on the notion that it has a crucial role to systematically construct an image of skin. Expandable patternization has a couple of stages to complete an architectural skin. The first element is a single unit and the second is organization or arrangement of units based on a logical process. Lastly, the third is spatialization after relating the skin to the interior programs as well as environmental surroundings. It is found that, although, in most related projects, the architect or designer has followed his or her own preference or design tendencies, many skin projects has based the given unique characteristics from the beginning. This study concludes that skin design is not just an image making, but has an important role to amalgamate various aspects of an architectural projects: programs, concept of architect, environment, structure as well as image.
Multi-screen service is a service that consumes more than one media in a number of terminals simultaneously or discriminately. This multi-screen service has become useful due to distribute of smart TV and terminals. Also, in case of hybrid broadcasting environment that is convergence of broadcasting and communication environment, it is able to provide various user experience through contents consumed by multiple screens. In hybrid broadcasting environment, scene composition technology can be used as an element technology for multi-screen service. Using scene composition technology, multiple media can be consumed complexly through the specified presentation time and space. Thus, multi-screen service based on the scene composition technology can provide spatial and temporal control and consumption of multiple media by linkage between the terminals. However, existing scene composition technologies are not able to use easily in hybrid broadcasting because of applicable environmental constraints, the difficulty in applying the various terminal and complexity. For this problems, HTML5 can be considered. HTML5 is expected to be applied in various smart terminals commonly, and provides consumption of diverse media. So, in this paper, it proposes the scene composition and multi-screen service technology based on HTML5 that is expected be used in various smart terminals providing hybrid broadcasting environment. For this, it includes the introduction in terms of HTML5 and multi-screen service, the method of providing information related with scene composition and multi-screen service through the extention of elements and attributes in HTML5, media signaling between terminals and the method of synchronization. In addition, the proposed scene composition and multi-screen service technology based on HTML5 was verified through the implementation and experiment.
