iOS GUI 디자인의 변화에 대한 어포던스 관점의 고찰 (A Study on Transformation of iOS GUI Design in the view of Affordance)

  • 본 연구는 iOS GUI 디자인의 변화에 함의된 어포던스의 변화와 이를 통한 어포던스 간의 관계를 고찰하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 선행연구를 통해 다양한 어포던스 개념을 도출하고 연구에 사용될 6가지 어포던스(본능적, 행동적, 반성적, 명시적, 메타포적, 패턴 어포던스)를 선정하고 iOS의 GUI 디자인 변화를 어포던스 관점에서 고찰하여 다음과 같이 그 결과를 도출하였다. 첫째, iOS GUI 디자인의 본능적 어포던스는 이미 충분한 반성적 어포던스를 형성하고 있어 이를 과감히 생략하거나 제거하고 있으며 이로 인해 보다 명확한 명시적 어포던스의 제공이 가능하다. 둘째, iOS의 행동적 어포던스와 패턴 어포던스는 사용 경험의 누적으로 인해 반성적 어포던스를 형성하고 있으며 이를 통해 새로운 패턴 어포던스를 형성하고 있으며 이는 또한 메타포적 어포던스의 기반 영역으로도 활용된다. 셋째, iOS의 플랫 디자인을 어포던스 관점에서 고찰해 본 결과, 본능적 어포던스의 감소로 인하여 시각적 표현 상의 제약이 줄어들게 되어 화면 공간의 여유, 컬러 변화의 자유, 명시적 어포던스의 제공 등이 가능하게 된 것도 그 원인 중 하나임을 알 수 있었다. 또한 본 연구에서는 본능적 어포던스가 사용경험 누적에 따라 반성적 어포던스를 형성하고 이는 메타포적 어포던스의 기반 영역으로 활용되며, 본능적 어포던스의 제거나 감소는 보다 명확한 명시적 어포던스를 제공하고 있으며 이를 통해 새로운 패턴 어포던스가 생성되는 어포던스 간의 상호작용에 의한 관계 변화 또한 고찰할 수 있었다.

Affordance design for the Management of Patients' Experience in Small Scale Hospitals

  • In the recent years, with a purpose to provide visual and psychological stability to patients and hospital users, Affordance design theory based on perceptual psychological thought has been applied as hospital design. In the past, hospital service design was focused on but Affordance design theory focuses on the patients' experience and methodological research on . The characteristics of the application of Affordance design in the case of patients' experience and service point is as follows:- Firstly, Affordance design is applied when the objective of the patient's experience and the functionality of the object are combined. In other words, affordance design is a condition that arises when encounter between service contact point and patients' experience takes place. Secondly, In the field of Hospital service design, Affordance concepts in and its application can be divided on the functions of experience, cognition and sense following the application of Affordance concepts in Hospital service design. Thirdly, Affordance design method sets meaning of the action received through information provided by morphological features. The condition and surrounding has to be designed in a way that it can induce active behavior of the patient. This study has significance as it has been studied from the perspectives of Affordance theory of design psychology in addition to the physical environment of the hospital, the point of interaction between the hospital and patient, along with the elements of experience design. This study proposes the necessity of analytical study in the field of service design implementation considering various stakeholders in the service contact points of small and medium hospitals in Korea. Furthermore, study of the application of Affordance design can be complemented by reflecting the size of hospitals, the characteristics of specialties, and the specific service environment of each hospital can also be conducted.

메타버스 플랫폼 서비스의 지속사용의도에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구 (A Study on Factors Affecting Intention to Continuous Use Metaverse Platform Service)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the factors affecting the intention to continue using the metaverse platform service from the user's point of view. Methods: The study conducted a survey of experienced people using Zepeto, Ifland, Gather Town, Zep, Roblox, Fortnite, and Minecraft, which are virtual world types among metaverse types, and valid 415 data were analyzed by SPSS (ver 22.0) and R (ver 4.1.0) program packages. Results: As a result of empirical analysis, it was found that interactivity and social presence among the characteristics of metaverse affected expectation confirmation, and sensory affordance and functional affordance affected expectation confirmation as affordance factors. In addition, all four characteristics of metaverse, reliability, playfulness, interactivity, and social presence, were found to have the greatest affect on perceived usefulness, and it was analyzed that playfulness, social presence, and reliability were influenced in order. The affordance factor was also found to have a positive effect on physical affordance, sensory affordance, and functional affordance. This study was found that it had a positive effect on the relationship between expectation confirmation and satisfaction and the relationship between perceived usefulness and satisfaction. satisfaction was analyzed to lead to continuance intention. Conclusion: This study is meaningful in that it examines the perspective of users who can be called customers of metaverse platform services. Based on the results of this study, it is expected to have a significant effect on the development of metaverse platform services not only on platform operators that provide metaverse platform services but also on providers who plan events and education using metaverse platform services.

서비스기업의 변화준비성을 통한 행동유도시스템 활용이 접점직원의 민첩성 및 성과에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Affordance System Use on Agility and Performance)

  • 본 연구는 고객에게 다양한 서비스를 제공해야하는 접점직원의 민첩성을 제고하기 위해 필요한 IT 기술 즉, 행동유도시스템의 촉진요인과 결과요인을 확인하고자 한다. 이를 위해 변화준비성, 행동유도시스템, 민첩성 및 성과의 개념을 정립하고 또한 이들 간의 관계를 이론적 및 실증적으로 검증하여 서비스기업에서 IT 기술을 이용한 경쟁력 강화에 필요한 전략적 시사점을 도출하였다. 행동 유도시스템을 사용하는 접점직원 419명을 대상으로 Amos 23.0을 사용하여 분석한 결과 첫째, 변화준비성의 기술, 조직, 환경요인은 행동유도시스템에 모두 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 행동유도시스템은 민첩성과 성과에 모두 유의한 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 민첩성은 성과에 유의한 성과를 주는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 업무불확실성은 행동유도시스템과 민첩성의 관계를 조절하는 것으로 밝혀졌지만, 행동유도시스템과 성과와의 관계는 조절하지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과의 이유와 시사점을 제시하였다.

  • The Affordance, discussed in the theory of ecological perception of environmental psychology, is the concept of perception that deals with inter-relationship between environment and human. It is a theory seeking for gradual evolution, with the change of user experience behavior and the space, by getting feed-backs from the analysis of perception of characteristics of 3-dimensional space and the user as moving entity. Although there has been many attempts to define the Affordance and apply its concept to the architecture, now there's a need to identify the Affordance in the real architectural space, represent Affordance of space and the user inter-relationship in the architecture and apply its design specifically, Thus, the purpose of this study is to present the methodology of applying Affordance in architectural space design by identifying the Affordance of space concept of human experience behavior in the architectural space and analyze its recognition process.

디지털미디어 전시환경에서의 어포던스디자인 요소별 선호에 관한 연구 (A Study on Preference according to Affordance Design Elements in Digital Media Exhibition Environment)

  • Recently, as human-centered design and humanization of space accelerates, the concept of physical space is changing to user-centered space. In particular, in the case of exhibition space to utilize digital media, visitors' actively experiencing exhibits and participating exhibition are regarded as an important factor, thus affordance design serves as a crucial factor to afford satisfaction with exhibition space to the visitors. Accordingly, the study is to understand the concept of the affordance and the digital media exhibition environment and to analyze the preference for each affordance design factor in the digital exhibition environment. The survey is conducted to people in the twenties who inhabit Seoul and the metropolitan area, familiar with the digital media. The results of the survey show that the most important role of the digital media in the exhibition environment is to create the atmosphere for concentration and complexity is the most preferable among interactivity, network ability and complexity, the feature of the digital media. Additionally, the results reveal that cognitive affordance presenting the feature of design to help the user when he/she want to know something is the most preferable among sensory affordance, physical affordance, cognitive affordance and functional affordance and as the time exposed to the digital media increases the importance of the affordance design is high. As the digital environment is common now in many fields, it will be regarded as a crucial factor to the visitors of an exhibit hall from now on whether affordance design is used.

아동 행태특성과 공간기능을 고려한 초등학교 환경색채 가이드에 관한 연구 (A study on environment color guide of elementary school considering children's behavior characteristics and space function)

  • This study focuses on analyzing children's behavior from an integrated systemic perspective of the space and time and presenting a criterion and a guide of children-centered environmental color for intensifying their behavior affordance while considering functions of the space and color. Research was conducted as follows. Based on the spatial function and children's behavior, it figured out a prerequisite of educational environmental colors for behavior affordance. It extracted colors by dividing children's behavior affordance into 8elements considering a psychology of expectation and color function according to spatial and behavior affordance intensification elements. So 97school colors were selected for children's behavior affordance from abstracted colors by each element. Furthermore, it planned to suggest an environmental color guide for establishing elementary school's positive educational circumstances through enhancing behavior affordance, providing a potential to change a color environment at the educational space.

  • Under social changes focusing diversification, human-oriented ecological values and emotional and pscyhological satisfaction have been considered more important in space. Such trend has developed into interest in the effect of architectural space and shape on human perception and consciousness, and space has been considered as interactive in ecological, psychological and behavioral, and aesthetic terms rather than physical environment. In particular, exhibition space where interactive sympathy between environment and users through emotional experiences is more important, can have appropriate interaction through intended relationships between environment and humans in space. Therefore, this study aims to understand affordance, an internal mechanism of space recognition and human behaviors. Then it analysed representative types of exhibition space for emotional experiences as a characteristic of affordance Based on the results analysed, it is expected that introduction of affordance as real information in space will be helpful for effective connection of space with human emotional experiences.

라이브 커머스의 IT 어포던스가 상호작용성과 몰입감, 구매 의도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Live Commerce's IT Affordance on Interactivity, Immersion, and Purchase Intention)

  • 실시간 온라인 방송이 다양한 플랫폼을 통해 보급되면서 전 세계적으로 큰 인기를 끌고 있다. 특히 코로나 19 대유행으로 인해 사회적 거리두기가 시행됨에 따라 국내 온라인 쇼핑 분야에서 전례 없는 성장세를 보여주고 있다. 본 연구는 IT 어포던스의 관점에서 라이브 커머스의 디지털 플랫폼 차원의 기술 어포던스 특성이 이용자의 상호작용성과 몰입감을 매개로 구매 의도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 살펴보고자 했다. 이를 위해, 국내 라이브 커머스 이용 경험자 440명을 대상으로 온라인 설문조사를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 확인적 요인분석과 구조방정식모형을 실시하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과 플랫폼의 메타보이싱과 쇼핑가이드 특성을 높게 인지할수록 이용자의 상호작용성은 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 제품에 관한 가시성이 뛰어나다고 느낄수록 이용자는 쇼핑 상황에 더 몰입하는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 나아가 상호작용성과 몰입감은 매개 변수로서 IT 어포던스 특성이 구매 의도에 미치는 영향에 중요한 역할을 수행하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 라이브 커머스 마케팅 전략 수립을 위한 이론적·실무적 시사점을 제시하였다.

How IT Affordance Influences Engagement in Live Commerce: An Empirical Analysis Focusing on Social Cues as Moderating Effect

  • With the development of technology and media and the pursuit of non-face-to-face due to the corona pandemic, the influence of live commerce, a real-time streaming shopping channel, is growing. Starting from China, the popularity of live commerce is growing all over the world, and it has become an interesting topic among many practitioners and researchers. However, compared to its popularity, there are few studies on live commerce. Therefore, we build a theoretical model in terms of IT affordance such as visibility, guidance shopping, trading, and meta-voicing and investigate how live commerce affects engagement with customers. We empirically measure 428 individuals who have used live commerce using survey data. In addition, we conduct four types of scenario experiments on whether social cues on exposures of other consumers, influence customer engagement. Our results show that trading affordance has the most significant effect. This shows that the live commerce platform may want to devise a program that helps make payment easier for users who prefer a quick and simple process. Our study contributes to the literature by presenting the importance of IT affordance for live commerce.
