An embedded system is called a multi-mode embedded system if it performs multiple applications by dynamically reconfiguring the system functionality. Further, the embedded system is called a multi-mode multi-task embedded system if it additionally supports multiple tasks to be executed in a mode. In this Paper, we address a HW/SW partitioning problem, that is, HW/SW partitioning of multi-mode multi-task embedded applications with timing constraints of tasks. The objective of the optimization problem is to find a minimal total system cost of allocation/mapping of processing resources to functional modules in tasks together with a schedule that satisfies the timing constraints. The key success of solving the problem is closely related to the degree of the amount of utilization of the potential parallelism among the executions of modules. However, due to an inherently excessively large search space of the parallelism, and to make the task of schedulabilty analysis easy, the prior HW/SW partitioning methods have not been able to fully exploit the potential parallel execution of modules. To overcome the limitation, we propose a set of comprehensive HW/SW partitioning techniques which solve the three subproblems of the partitioning problem simultaneously: (1) allocation of processing resources, (2) mapping the processing resources to the modules in tasks, and (3) determining an execution schedule of modules. Specifically, based on a precise measurement on the parallel execution and schedulability of modules, we develop a stepwise refinement partitioning technique for single-mode multi-task applications. The proposed techniques is then extended to solve the HW/SW partitioning problem of multi-mode multi-task applications. From experiments with a set of real-life applications, it is shown that the proposed techniques are able to reduce the implementation cost by 19.0% and 17.0% for single- and multi-mode multi-task applications over that by the conventional method, respectively.
Purpose - Because of the emphasis on the necessity of academic-industrial cooperation between companies and universities, there are various ongoing academic-industrial cooperation programs led by the government. As government actively supports such cooperation as policy, and universities vitalize new technology development, academic-industrial cooperation between companies and universities is being recognized as an important growth engine for companies the competitiveness of academic-industrial cooperation is also attracting more interest. The government has vitalized human resource fostering, practical R&D, and technology transfer to companies since 2012 by executing a "leading university fostering project for academic-industrial cooperation." Based on an organic interlink among universities, industry, and research institutes, the government also created and is promoting several models of such cooperation between companies and universities to support shared growth of industry and local universities. The purpose of academic-industrial cooperation is growth and benefit fromtechnology development, technical cooperation, and technology transfer between companies and universities. Research design, data, and methodology - As more academic-industrial cooperation efforts are ledby companies due to the limitation in technology-focused commercialization cooperation, the academic-industrial cooperation system became fragmented and it is losing the potential for future advancement. Specifically, as differences between universities grow, academic-industrial cooperation between companies and universities based on new technology from universities is finding difficulty advancing, while systematic support from companies to enhance the performance of businesses created by academic-industrial cooperation is also insufficient. Accordingly, this study established a growth model for the advancement of academic-industrial cooperation between companies and universities and suggested a plan to strengthen the competitiveness and promote the future advancementof academic-industrial cooperation between companies and universities by analyzing the current situation of such cooperation and diagnosing its issues. Results - This study explored the concept and current status of academic-industrial cooperation relationships and analyzed related issues. For such cooperative organizations to be competitive, the employment environment of professional human resources for academic-industrial cooperation should be improved and measures to secure professional resources should be taken as early as possible. Though the academic-industrial cooperation now is being led by government, there is a limitation based on business models, which require creation of profit; however, an academic-industrial cooperation model still cannot stand alone without the support of government. This study also pointed out that a having only a plan to build competitiveness of companies and universities for academic-industrial cooperation is not sufficient. Conclusions - In order to increase the competitiveness of academic-industrial cooperation, a detailed growth-sharing model for academic-industrial cooperation should be developed, and there should be more joint development processes for the advancement of such cooperation in which the need for technology development can be verified in advance. In addition, beyond focusing on technology-focused academic-industrial cooperation, a network between companies and universities searching for ideas for academic-industrial cooperation in the fields of human and social aspects should be created. A new academic-industrial model linking current cooperation between companies and universities to the local area should be built based on such academic-industrial cooperation in human and social fields.
This study is a study on the cooking department where chefs who belong to the desired job of elementary and middle school students work together with the recognition increase through the media. The cooking department, which has a vertical structure at work, can be said to have an absolute influence of the chef. However, the cooking department needs to change according to the times. The purpose of this study was to examine how chef's shared leadership affects the chef's emotional commitment, continuous commitment, job satisfaction, and job performance. Therefore, a questionnaire was distributed to the employees currently working in the cooking department of a five-star hotel in Seoul, and a sample of 319 copies was prepared. In statistical analysis, the items were refined through exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, reliability analysis, and correlation analysis, and the hypotheses were verified through structural model analysis. As a result, Chef's shared leadership influences the emotional commitment of cooks, job satisfaction and job performance. In particular, emotional commitment and continuous commitment did not affect cooks' job satisfaction and job performance. In conclusion, to improve the performance of the organization, the hotel culinary department must establish a culture of sharing and communication. This suggests that establishing goals and visions will lead to job satisfaction and performance not only for individual cooks but also for the entire department. Therefore, it is expected to contribute to the efficient human resource management for the cooks in the hotel cooking department.
Recently software agent has been studied as a new abstraction unit of software engineering. The agent with autonomous, adaptability and cooperation attribute is accepted as a new abstraction unit especially in distributed systems, open systems, and complex systems. However, the progress of agent research has been slow and the realization of agent programming language seems to be far distant. Because the properties of agent are diverse, the opinions of researchers can not converge to one. In this situation, software agent framework is accepted more realistic alternative solution. However the knowledge for its development doesn't have been shared among developers. So they often have to make same errors. We will help sharing of knowledge and experience by using pattern language which has been used in object technology for long times. This paper proposes a reactive agent framework pattern language and validates it based on ATAM[l] The increase of such indirect experience can reduce the waste of resource by preventing the same try and error. So agent framework developers are able to concentrate on more essential issues. Finally quality of software agent framework will be increased.
A wireless sensor network(WSN) which roles as a mediator between living environment and computers in ubiquitous computing is very essential research area. Due to the constraint that sensor nodes should work in very resource-restricted circumstances, an operating system that can manage resources effectively is demanded. Also, a sensor network should be able to deal with many events quickly and simultaneously in order to respond to various physical changes in outer environment. The Sensor Network Operating System such as TinyOS, MANTIS and NanoQplus is much designed so that it can satisfy such requirement. But, for programmers who develop application program for sensor networks, they have lack of frameworks which the development is easily possible from restricted development environment. In this paper for this, we implemented a state machine framework apt for responsive systems in NanoQplus which is multi-thread-based sensor network operating system. In addition we propose an event broker module(EBM) for effective event dispatching, a message data structure for message sharing among state machines, and an execution module that handles messages and their queue and performs state transition of the machines. Furthermore, we could do the development more easily an application program with a state-based framework by developing CASE tools.
Social bookmarking systems are a typical web 2.0 service based on folksonomy, providing the platform for storing and sharing bookmarking information. Spammers in social bookmarking systems denote the users who abuse the system for their own interests in an improper way. They can make the entire resources in social bookmarking systems useless by posting lots of wrong information. Hence, it is important to detect spammers as early as possible and protect social bookmarking systems from their attack. In this paper, we applied a diverse set of machine learning approaches, i.e., decision tables, decision trees (ID3), $na{\ddot{i}}ve$ Bayes classifiers, TAN (tree-augment $na{\ddot{i}}ve$ Bayes) classifiers, and artificial neural networks to this task. In our experiments, $na{\ddot{i}}ve$ Bayes classifiers performed significantly better than other methods with respect to the AUC (area under the ROC curve) score as veil as the model building time. Plausible explanations for this result are as follows. First, $na{\ddot{i}}ve$> Bayes classifiers art known to usually perform better than decision trees in terms of the AUC score. Second, the spammer detection problem in our experiments is likely to be linearly separable.
With growing population of internet and web applications, distributed environment is considered to be the standard architecture of application. A network management systems(NMS) is necessary to control and monitor the complex network resources for providing and sharing the heft quality service. We recognize the NMS as a standard infrastructure for supporting efficient networking and a separate commercial applications. We believe every resource including software, hardware and environment for the network management should be separated from special protocols, vendors and applications. Therefore, We need a standard network management system that is efficient and consistent because of the heterogeous network features. In regards to software development, software reuse through assembling and extending the reusable elements such as patterns and components assures to realize the best productivity and quality The component based development(CBD) methodology that can assemble black box though well defined interfaces makes it possible to develop easer and quicker applications and is proved as the best software development solution involved in construction, selection and assembly of components. In this thesis, we describe the architecture for the network management and identify, define and design the components through analysis and design in the network management domain and Identified components mapped to the component architecture. We also specify the component development and design and implement the component for developing the network management. Implemented components apply to the component repository system that register, retrieve and understand the components. We analyze, design and implement the entire network management system based on configuration, connection, performance and fault management through the pre-developed components.
It is well documented that physiological and nutritional condition of wintering birds is strongly related to migration success to breeding sites, and also breeding success. However, how abiotic factors during winter affect the migration and breeding successes still remains unclear. Thus, this study developed a dynamic-state-dependent model for wintering life-history to identify the potential impact on the life-history, success to breeding site and breeding success of wintering birds, which are related to temperature fluctuation, interspecific competition and human disturbance at the wintering sites. To find the best-fit-model, we referred to the existing research data on wintering ecology of Red-crowned cranes (Grus japonensis) in Cheolwon, Korea, which is well documented as a long-term wintering study. Our model predicted that the higher temperature fluctuation and a higher rate of human disturbance are negatively related to migration success to breeding sites and their fitness, ultimately breeding success via changing of proportion in resource allocation (for e. g., lower energy compensation or higher level of stress accumulation). Particularly, the rate of body mass compensation after arrival at wintering sites may be accelerated when there are less temperature fluctuations and a lower rate of human disturbance. In addition, the rate of interspecific competition sharing the wintering foraging sites is negatively related to the rate of body mass compensation. Consequently, we discussed the conservation strategies of wintering birds based on the outcomes of the model.

In this paper, we introduce a hierarchical internet application traffic classification system based on SVM as an alternative overcoming the uppermost limit of the conventional methodology which is using the port number or payload information. After selecting an optimal attribute subset of the bidirectional traffic flow data collected from the campus, the proposed system classifies the internet application traffic hierarchically. The system is composed of three layers: the first layer quickly determines P2P traffic and non-P2P traffic using a SVM, the second layer classifies P2P traffics into file-sharing, messenger, and TV, based on three SVDDs. The third layer makes specific classification of the entire 16 application traffics. By classifying the internet application traffic finely or coarsely, the proposed system can guarantee an efficient system resource management, a stable network environment, a seamless bandwidth, and an appropriate QoS. Also, even a new application traffic is added, it is possible to have a system incremental updating and scalability by training only a new SVDD without retraining the whole system. We validate the performance of our approach with computer experiments.
Advances of Internet and rC accelerate distribution and sharing of information, which make P2P(Peer-to-Peer) computing paradigm appear P2P computing Paradigm is the computing paradigm that shares computing resources and services between users directly. A fundamental problem that confronts Peer-to-Peer applications is the efficient location of the node that stoles a desired item. P2P systems treat the majority of their components as equivalent. This purist philosophy is useful from an academic standpoint, since it simplifies algorithmic analysis. In reality, however, some peers are more equal than others. We propose the P2P protocol considering differences of capabilities of computers, which is ignored in previous researches. And we examine the possibility and applications of the protocol. Simulating the Magic Square, we estimate the performances of the protocol with the number of hop and network round time. Finally, we analyze the performance of the protocol with the numerical formula. We call our p2p protocol the Magic Square. Although the numbers that magic square contains have no meaning, the sum of the numbers in magic square is same in each row, column, and main diagonal. The design goals of our p2p protocol are similar query response time and query path length between request peer and response peer, although the network information stored in each peer is not important.
