The Structuring Process of Multi‐Centered Usability Evaluation Method (다자 중심적 사용성 평가 방법의 구조화 과정)

  • In order to minimize a biased view of evaluators in usability test, a multiple evaluation method so called Multi-Centered Usability Evaluation Method(MCUEM) was suggested and structured in this study. To use MCUEM, the existing evaluation methods were re-categorized into 'developer and evaluator-centered', 'evaluator-centered', 'user-centered', 'evaluator and user-centered', and the 'developer, evaluator, and user-centered methods. Furthermore, in order to verify the relevance of MCUEM, the usability of mobile phone was tested in this study. In results, it was found that different evaluation methods generated greatly different results, that showed the risk of using a particular usability method due to different perspectives of evaluators. At the same time, it was found that MCUEM could greatly minimize such biases. Therefore, it was concluded that using MCUEM could help the usability engineer design a test protocol with a minimal risk of bias due to different perspective of evaluators.

A Study on the Evaluation Model for CMS using the AHP (AHP를 이용한 CMS 평가방법에 관한 연구)

  • Despite the increasing interest in web contents and the rapid growth of CMS(Content Management System) market, the studies on the evaluation criteria for determining the purchase of the CMS solution are very rare. We introduce previous researches on the evaluation models of IT solution, and develop new criteria for evaluating CMS solutions. We calculate the relative importance of the evaluation criteria using scores from the IT experts based on the "Pair-wise Comparison" using the AHP. Based on the analyses of IT specialists′ responses, the results of the study show that, among the ten criteria, "the function of content management", "the contribution to the company′s business process" and "the fit with Information Strategic Plan" are the three most important ones over the remaining others. The developed model and criteria for the evaluation of the CMS solutions are expected to contribute on effective purchasing decision of the solutions and their successful implementation.

  • One of the activities to improve software quality in ISO 26262 is to apply the design principles for software unit design and implementation mentioned in ISO 26262-6, including the evaluation activity. Before evaluation activity, the tool is compared and selected for evaluation. Because the results of the tool a company selected might have an effect on product quality. In this paper, we suggest the method to compare industrial static analysis tools with some of "MISRA C : 2004 Exemplar Suite" and all lessons learned from comparing tools are described. The result on comparison shows that we just couldn't rely on a result of Static Analysis Tool and need to have another appropriate processes and guidelines to evaluate a software.

Uncertainty Evaluation of a multi-axis Force/Moment Sensor

  • This paper describes the methods for calibration and evaluation of the relative expanded uncertainty of a multi-axis force/moment sensor. In order to use the sensor in the industry, it should be calibrated and its relative expanded uncertainty should be also evaluated. At present, the confidence of the sensor is shown with only interference error. However, it is not accurate, because the calibrated multi-axis force/moment sensor has an interference error as well as a reproducibility error of the sensor, etc. In this paper, the methods fur calibration and for evaluation of the relative expanded uncertainty of a multi-axis force/moment sensor are newly proposed. Also, a six-axis force/moment sensor is calibrated with the proposed calibration method and the relative expanded uncertainty is evaluated using the proposed uncertainty evaluation method and the calibration results. It is thought that the methods fur calibration and evaluation of the uncertainty can be usually used for calibration and evaluation of the uncertainty of the multi-axis force/moment sensor.

  • As an interest in the efficiency of public sector expenditures has spread across the world, Korea has operated a self-evaluation system for government projects as a part of the performance-based budget system. However, an evaluation system for public information technology project has been criticized for its lack of validity, which stems from the uniformity of performance management. This study draws insight from knowledge management literature in an attempt to address the problems with the extant performance evaluation system in public agencies. To realize benefits from IT investment, an agency needs to develop its own performance management model for information systems projects, with a focus on the interaction of IT and organizational system. The knowledge management-based framework for IT projects was verified through a case study, with which we discussed the applicability of knowledge management to the evaluation of public information systems projects.

  • Regarding urban design in this 21st century, cities pursue human-oriented urban design through which nature, cities, and human beings are unified and interact with one another. For such urban design maintenance, it is needed to conduct systematic analysis and synthesis on various and complex factors of cities expressing urban images. Also, it is necessary to secure methods to evaluate those cities based on urban users' visual information. Thereupon, this study aims to suggest urban design evaluation methods which accept human behavior or needs and also allow us to figure out desirable images. For this, the study established the construction system of the most basic urban design components that form cities through literature review and expert evaluation. And it examines correlation among those factors with statistic means. Through this, the study suggests a new urban design evaluation system and evaluation process divided into experts and users so as to reflect user behavior or needs.

Enterprise Architecture for e-Government Monitoring and Evaluation Reporting System Based on Customer Satisfaction Perspective in Indonesia

  • Refining the monitoring and evaluation reporting is an important thing in e-Government. Indonesia which has had e-Government roadmap since 2000, has not had the systematic mechanism to monitor and evaluate e-Government in which the report can be easily accessed by the public and used to be the best practice to improve other e-Government implementation. Enterprise architecture (EA) has the major objective to straighten an enterprise to its necessary requirements. It can be used to propose the required system and that was the purpose of this paper. It was started by reviewing the literature about e-Government monitoring and evaluation, using quality of service as the means, and understanding TOGAF as one of EA framework. The second step was comparing EA and the evaluation of e-Government in Korea and Indonesia to get the best practices. And the last step was creating EA for the monitoring and evaluation reporting system based on Korea and the literature reviewed. It is expected that the formulized EA can be a tool to improve e-Government implementation in Indonesia.

  • To secure the safety of drugs without compromising drug efficacy, it can not be more important to administer the exact intended amount of active ingredients to patients. Even if the correct amount of drugs are taken in the correct manner, drug can be overdosed or less-dosed without intention unless the content uniformity of the unit dose were secured. Especially, it can be a serious problem when it comes to drugs with narrow therapeutic windows or a strong pharmacological activity at a small dose. (omitted)

  • WDM 네트워크에서 QoS를 향상시키기 위해서는 가상 토폴로지를 효율적으로 재구성할 수 있어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 토폴로지를 재구성할 시점을 결정하고 적절한 파장을 할당하는 기법을 제안함으로써 효과적으로 WDM 네트워크를 운영할 수 있는 WDM 컨트롤러를 제안한다.
