Analysis on The Economic Impacts of Construction New Excellent Technology (건설신기술의 경제적 파급효과 분석)

  • The Construction New Excellent Technology was introduced to promote the development of domestic construction technology and enhance national competitiveness, by inspiring the development desire of technology developers in 1989. Domestic Construction New Excellent Technology is first introduced in 1989, the total 596 cases were assigned to the new technology and it was used the construction site. Also, it was achieved the quantitative performance of thirty-hundred applications and was effected to the domestic construction industry. However, the systematic analysis about the introduction effects of Construction New Excellent Technology are none. Therefore, the quantitative analysis of economic effects in construction industry have to a justification in according to operation of Construction New Excellent Technology system and verification of superiority. And then, the Construction New Excellent Technology system needs a developing base in the future. In this study, The Economic Impacts of Construction New Excellent Technology were analyzed in quantitatively such as a cost savings effects, the employment effects, the effects on Value-added, the import substitution effects due to use of Construction New Excellent Technology. This study will be used promotion of economics and superiority in the Construction New Excellent Technology.

Inter-Lane Distance Measurement Method for Predicting the Lateral Movement of the Vehicle in Front (전방 차량의 횡간 이동 예측을 위한 차선 간 거리 측정 방법)

  • Various sensors such as lidar, radar, and camera are fused and used in autonomous vehicles. Rider and radar sensors are difficult to popularize because they are expensive equipment. In order to popularize autonomous vehicles, research that can replace expensive equipment is continuously being conducted. In this paper, we use a single camera that is inexpensive and can be easily mounted. We propose a method for detecting the wheels and adjacent lanes of a front-side vehicle of a driving vehicle and estimating distances. Our proposed method detects lanes and wheels from frame images after frame extraction via input images. In addition, the distance is measured and compared with the actual distance measured in the actual road environment. The distance could be calculated relatively accurately within the error range of ± 3 cm. Through this, it is expected that the camera can be used as an alternative means when the cost of autonomous vehicles is reduced or when the lidar or radar sensor fails.

A Road Luminance Measurement Application based on Android (안드로이드 기반의 도로 밝기 측정 어플리케이션 구현)

  • According to the statistics of traffic accidents over recent 5 years, traffic accidents during the night times happened more than the day times. There are various causes to occur traffic accidents and the one of the major causes is inappropriate or missing street lights that make driver's sight confused and causes the traffic accidents. In this paper, with smartphones, we designed and implemented a lane luminance measurement application which stores the information of driver's location, driving, and lane luminance into database in real time to figure out the inappropriate street light facilities and the area that does not have any street lights. This application is implemented under Native C/C++ environment using android NDK and it improves the operation speed than code written in Java or other languages. To measure the luminance of road, the input image with RGB color space is converted to image with YCbCr color space and Y value returns the luminance of road. The application detects the road lane and calculates the road lane luminance into the database sever. Also this application receives the road video image using smart phone's camera and improves the computational cost by allocating the ROI(Region of interest) of input images. The ROI of image is converted to Grayscale image and then applied the canny edge detector to extract the outline of lanes. After that, we applied hough line transform method to achieve the candidated lane group. The both sides of lane is selected by lane detection algorithm that utilizes the gradient of candidated lanes. When the both lanes of road are detected, we set up a triangle area with a height 20 pixels down from intersection of lanes and the luminance of road is estimated from this triangle area. Y value is calculated from the extracted each R, G, B value of pixels in the triangle. The average Y value of pixels is ranged between from 0 to 100 value to inform a luminance of road and each pixel values are represented with color between black and green. We store car location using smartphone's GPS sensor into the database server after analyzing the road lane video image with luminance of road about 60 meters ahead by wireless communication every 10 minutes. We expect that those collected road luminance information can warn drivers about safe driving or effectively improve the renovation plans of road luminance management.

The Evaluation of Images with Various Filters in I-131 SPECT/CT (I-131 SPECT/CT에서 Ringing Artifact 감소를 위한 다양한 Filter값의 적용)

  • Purpose: After I-131 therapy, SPECT/CT is useful in identifying location of thyroid remnants and metastasis of thyroid cancers. An excessive uptake of thyroid leads to a ringing artifact in the SPECT images. The aim of this study is to investigate and suggest a proper post filters to remove ringing artifact and produce better image quality. Materials and Methods: A low-cost, customized thyroid-mimicking phantom, consisting of an acrylic bottle and a hollow sphere was used for SPECT/CT Discovery (GE Healthcare, USA). It was filled with I-131 solution. The ratio of hollow sphere to background were varied as 50:1, 200:1, 1000:1 and 4000:1. Acquired images were reconstructed by OSEM (2 iterations, 10 subsets) with and without Evolution (resolution recovery correction, GE). Three different post-filters were applied; Butterworth (cut off: 0.38 to 0.58 with intervals of 0.05), Hanning (cut off: 0.8 to 1 with intervals of 0.05) and Gaussian (FWHM: 3 to 5 with intervals of 0.5) filters. Contrast, background variability, air area variability, and full width half maximum (FWHM) were compared. Results: Higher contrasts were obtained from the SPECT images with Evolution than without Evolution. In the case of images without Evolution, image distortion such as star artifact was generated. For all sphere-to-background ratio, the Butterworth filter showed better constrasts and FWHMs than other two filters, but the ringing artifact was still generated in all studies except 50:1 and it was decreased as cutoff value was increased. The ringing artifact didn't appear with Hanning and Gaussian filters at all studies, however constrats and FWHMs with Gaussian was worse than Hanning filter. For the images having ringing artifacts, the background variability and air area variability were increased. Conclusion: In this study, we suggested that it is desirable to use Hanning filter when the ringing artifact is generated and to use Butterworth filter when ringing artifact is not generated in I-131 SPECT.
