Human Resource Metadata Standardization for Managing Science & Technology Personnel (과학기술전문인력 관리를 위한 인력정보 메타데이터 표준화)

  • R&D Personnel information is constructed locally based on the needs of each institute and therefore is distributed over different databases. It does not support inter operability which makes it difficult to access and update that leads to the problem of ineffective usage. In this study, we have categorized the lower level information that forms the domestic S&T Personnel and defined the relationship between each type of information to suggest a standard for the data elements that guarantee the access to specific information in order to support inter operability. We have analyzed the human resource information database of domestic and foreign research institutes for the data modeling. We have also made reference to the standard metadata and database of other types that can be linked with the human resource information in designing the data elements. ISO/IEC 11179, the international standard for the metadata registry(MDR), was adopted to apply the object, attribute and expression to be described to the name of the data element.

  • 다년간의 국가정보화 노력으로 우리나라는 이미 IT 강국으로서 선진 정보강국과 어깨를 나란히 하고 있다. 인터넷의 발달과 이를 통한 전자상거래 및 인터넷뱅킹 등 IT 산업의 급격한 발전이 이를 뒷받침해주고 있다. 이러한 추세에 따라 각종 정보보호 제품 및 기술의 개발과 정보보호의 중요성을 인식한 정보보호관리 정책의 수립도 함께 이루어져왔다. 향후 유비쿼터스 사회를 맞이하여 국민 삶의 질적 수준을 한 단계 끌어올리기 위해서는 보다 안정된 정보사회 기반을 마련해야 할 것이다. 이를 위해서 정보보호의 중요성을 확산시키고 정보보호를 담당하는 전문인력을 양성하는 데에 주력해야 할 것이다. 본 연구는 정보보호 인력의 질적 양성을 위해 보다 체계적인 정보보호 교육의 필요성을 높이 인식하여, 정보보호 전문인력이 갖추어야 할 지식 및 기술에 대해 분석하고 있다. 우선, 정보통신 및 정보보호 관련 선행 연구를 통해 55개의 정보보호 분야 지식 및 기술을 도출하고, 산업계 및 학계의 전문가 대상의 검토를 통해 총 71개의 지식 및 기술을 최종 도출하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 정보보호 분야의 실무 수행에 필요한 지식 및 기술 항목들을 제시함으로써, 수요 지향적인 정보보호 교육 프로그램 개발 및 운영에 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

Level of Moral Development in Pre-dental Professionals (일부 예비치과 전문인력의 도덕성 발달수준)

  • A study was designed to evaluate the level of moral development in 450 pre-dental professionals of 2 educational institution in Jeollabukdo, Ik san city. Data were collected through self-reported questionnaires from October 2010. The Korean version of the DIT(Defining Issues Test) was adopted to evaluate level of moral development with the score of P(%) and stage. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA and Pearson's correlation coefficient. The mean scores of P(%) was 43.10 in dental students and 41.21 in dental hygiene students(p=0.190). The score of stage 5A was highest which was followed by S3, S4, S6, S5B, S2. The score of stage 5B and 6 revealed sigificant difference by groups. The score of stage 6 revealed significant difference by sex in dental students(p=0.003). In dental hygiene students, it's significant difference by religion(S5B, p=0.044), birth order(S2, p=0.027) and growth area(S4, p=0.015). As for the correlations between moral development and the score of the stage, the score of P(%) was negatively correlated with the scores of stage 2, 3, 4 and 5B. On the other hand, the score of P(%) was positively correlated with the scores of stage 5A and 6. In conclusion, for enhancing dental students' moral development it is necessary a systemic ethics education and program development in curriculum.

  • To develop railway industry's competitive, it is necessary to develop the high-quality manpower who will contribute to the public service and the railway business. To achieve this goal, it is required to create the new university curriculum focused on the railway engineering. In near future, it must be required to secure the high-quality railway engineers for. improving and developing its technologies. The purpose of this research is that improving competitive in the railway industry by developing new curriculum for the railway engineers.

The research on directions of immigration policy according to the human resources in health and medical professions (보건의료 전문 인력 수급실태 분석을 통한 이민정책)

  • This research is based upon the nursing statistical data published by the Institute of Nursing Policy in 2007, on behalf of Korea nursing association. We analyzed the problems on the healthcare human resources supply in Korea. We suggest that a solution is to adopt immigration policy for foreign workforce employment. The result of the research shows that more than 1,000 nurses are registrated every year except for 2004, according to the yearly status of healthcare jobs. The variance of doctors' registration was quite significant. Compared to 750 registrations in 2004, 4000 doctors were registered in 2002. The healthcare accounts for the property of citizens in terms, which represents the health and lives of everyone, so the country must take all measures to supply the healthcare services in need. Focusing on the underdeveloped region where it is difficult to approach the medical services, the foreign workforce could be added into the healthcare profession field. We conclude that employing foreign healthcare professionals will contribute to the improvement of lives in those people living in underdeveloped region, as well as unity of the local community.

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the prerequisites for securing the convergence validity of qualifications and the development of a lifelong education support system for the disabled. The research method consisted of the procedure of collecting and analyzing previous research literature and conducting expert meetings. The content of this study is based on the limitations and reflection of the current promotion of the qualification system for lifelong education professionals for the disabled, establishing the academic foundation and concept system for lifelong education for the disabled, designing a career development path for the professional competency of developing and operating the lifelong education curriculum for the disabled. Also, Restructuring of related institutions based on the curriculum for lifelong education for the disabled, and enhancement of qualification types for nurturing professionals for lifelong education for the disabled were suggested. As a result of the study, it was analyzed that the value and function of qualifications are very important in the comprehensive category of developing a lifelong education support system for persons with disabilities, and conclusively, the viewpoint of university foundation and the application model for nurturing professionals for lifelong education for persons with disabilities should be reviewed.

  • In 1995, the department of multimedia-related study was first founded in Technical Institute and has carried out the fundamental education at academic level in trial and error. Following a bubble situation of multimedia-related industries, the education of multimedia-related departments has mass-produced hurriedly prepared multimedia designers and programmers. With the current IMF economic crisis, demand for the multimedia expert manpower has shrunk drastically and competitiveness for getting a job becomes intense. Therefore, it is an urgent problem to specialize the multimedia education of Technical Institute and to differentiate it from the education of Universe. In this paper, I am going to analyze the cause of various practical problems occurring in the multimedia education in Technical Institute and to suggest the solution and education goal for the specialized and differentiated education in multimedia-related department of Technical Institute.

A Study on Digital Forensic Human Training Method (디지털 포렌식 전문인력양성 방안에 관한 연구)

  • A number of universities around the world provide various undergraduate and graduate programs for digital forensic. In this paper, we propose a cross-layer program suitable for senior students in the IT and law departments to learn multi-disciplinary convergence subjects. We have first analyzed the key ingredients of digital forensic and then the current programs in several universities. After describing the qualifications anticipated for digital forensic specialists, we have critically analyzed the courses currently offered in the IT and law departments. Based on the analysis and discussions, we have proposed an IT+law program and two flexible operation schemes of the program for securing the desired level of convergence education.

  • Successful industries that have maintained their competitiveness are characterized by well-established skills framework system. Skills framework establishes the agreed-upon, industry-identified knowledge, skills and abilities required to succeed in the workplace. Skills framework forms a solid foundation for the development of outcomes-based instruction and assessment, thus it benefits industry, students, educators and government. Each group has a major stake in the education of our students and in the efficient development of a productive workforce. Particularly in fast-changing fields like information security, relevant data that accurately reflect current and future knowledge and skills enable timely direction of resources, development and revision of industry-relevant curriculum, and efficient development of career information and job profiles. Skills framework occupies an indispensable position in any dialog concerning education or training in technical fields. In this study, we develop the skills framework for information security professionals.
